• Pray and Praise For you tarnish your life with much fretting. You spoil your walk with much worry. Fretting and worry crush the treasures that the Lord has to offer, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, confess your faults and your needs, and His peace that surpasses understanding will guard your heart and your mind in Christ Jesus.

• Hidden Treasure Israel’s light was hidden deep within their pots.
• And we also carry His light, deep within our bodies, do you not know that your body is the temple of God -the temple of the Holy Spirit? 1Cor.6:19  Israel’s earthen vessels had within them a hidden treasure – the light of triumph, and God routed the enemy through His treasured light, hid deep within.
• Indwelling Spirit The Light of Life is hid within each believer and He is that treasure in earthen vessels.

• Life Troubles In Psalm 46 we are told that God is a very present help in time of trouble, but He permits trouble to pursue us, as though He were indifferent to us.. as though He were disinterested in its overwhelming pressure, that we may be brought to an end of ourselves. That we may be led to discover the treasure of darkness – the unmeasurable gains of tribulation.

• In poverty, He would be their abiding treasure.

• But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us (2 Cor. 4:7).

• And thus it makes the one in whom it operates free from the law of sin and death.' • There is much physical suffering that can affect this feeble mortal frame, reminding us that we have this treasure - in earthen vessels.

• Paul’s Teachings Paul outlined in great detail these glorious positional truths to encourage our hearts. His desire was that we are united in love and understand the riches of God’s grace. He longed that we have complete assurance of the mystery of God – namely Christ: in Whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Colossians 2:3  Paul’s epistles certainly are overflowing with much to rejoice our heart, but he also gives us some severe warnings, which encourage spiritual alertness.

• He desires that we store up treasure in heaven and that we maintain a firm trust in His unchanging word.

• Jewels of Light God gives us “treasures of darkness” to prepare us for jewels of light, and He leads us through the valley of the shadow into His own place of peace and rest.
• We would never guess that His best treasures are hidden in deep distresses, and yet we are often required to walk the path of pain and perplexity, with no explanation and a heart that would fain but break.

• He didn’t favour any great spiritual beings, with their treasures of wisdom and might.

• Lay Up Treasure How many believers in all honesty are watching for the coming of the Lord?
• How many are truly guarding their hearts, by laying up treasure in heaven?

• He listens with an open ear to the treasure or otherwise, that falls from our lips – and warns us that every idle word that we speak, will require an accounting.

• In Christ are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.Colossians 2:3
• for hidden within Christ is a great treasure trove of all-wisdom and all-knowledge. Christ – the third person of the trinity was made man and became God incarnate. Christ was Son of Man Who was born – yet He was the Son of God Who was given. The fullness of deity dwells in Christ – and in Him is all wisdom and knowledge. Colossians 2:9 All that God is and all that God knows is present in the person of Christ Jesus.
• Person of Christ The self-existent Christ is absolute and complete in all aspects of His causeless being. The immutable Christ is absolute truth, entirely dependable, totally faithful, and true. The infinite Christ has limitless knowledge, immeasurable power, perpetual presence – and in Christ are hidden all the treasures of God’s eternal wisdom and knowledge.
• Incarnate God His love is measureless and scoops into its skirts boundless mercy and eternal grace. His immeasurable holiness acts in absolute righteousness and unquestionable justice. The fullness of God has been manifested in the self-revelation of Himself, in Christ.  And in Him are hidden all the treasures of God’s eternal wisdom and knowledge.
• Astonishing Privilege The man or woman that has been placed in Christ is indeed blessed beyond compare, for hidden within Christ is a great treasure trove of all-wisdom and all-knowledge.
• Fourth We are to know and accept that we are complete in Christ and need nothing more. We are to recognise Christ as the full and final authority over all rule and principalities. We are to trust all that Scriptures tell us of the treasures that are contained in Christ – For you are complete through your union with Christ, Who is the head over every ruler and authority – principality and power. Colossians 2:10
• Deity of Christ The man or woman that has been placed in Christ is indeed blessed beyond compare, for hidden within Christ is a great treasure trove of all-wisdom and all-knowledge.
• and in Christ are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
• With our finite minds, we are incapable of understanding the essence of infinite God – nevertheless, all the wisdom and knowledge of God are hidden in Christ in its entirety. Let us take time to mine out those hidden treasures by getting to know Him more.

• For we have this treasure, (the Spirit of God) in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. 2 Cor.4:7

• Why are we to become more progressively and intimately acquainted with Him?  - because 'In Him are all the treasures of divine wisdom' Col.2:3
• Divine Wisdom Did you get that??? In Jesus are all the treasures of divine wisdom..

• Let me point out that in Christ are all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge hidden, and the Lord's will for us is to come to an ever-growing realization and personal appreciation of Him in Whom all the fullness dwells.

• Never can we fathom the depth of the privilege bestowed on believers: but we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. 2Cor.4:7 The glory of Jesus Christ, Who walked the earth, is now hidden in the Church, which is His Body, and the epistles tell us again and again that we have a choice.

• Abiding Love Some years ago I read of a saint who studied John chapter 15, for many long years, extracting a wealth of choice jewels and prized treasures from this one chapter.
• you will ask whatever you will – and it shall be done. If you abide in Me and My Words abide in you. For in Christ are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. And so by virtue of our position In Christ and our union With Him, whatsoever you ask will be done.

• If you feel the drawing of God within, cherish it as you would cherish a great treasure.

• When I gain the treasure of knowing Him, I can well afford to trust Him.

• Paul is unlocking a treasure chest of jewels identifying the Father as the great Giver.

• The Word of God is a love-letter, that is bursting with treasures of promises.
• Heavenly Treasures Nowhere in scripture is there such a climax of superlatives.
• In a few short verses, we are bedecked with the highest of heavenly favours. In one brief chapter, we glimpse our heavenly treasures and distinguished standing.

• Mary, on the contrary, felt that the best feast for Him, and for herself, was to receive and treasure up all she could from Him - to see, and hear, and be with Him.

• I am God [El] and there is no other” Isa.45:22 – and I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the Lord  [Yahweh], which call thee by thy name, I AM the God of Israel (Elohê Yisra’el)” Isa.45:3

• Heavenly Treasure What do the Scriptures teach about the importance of faith?
• Lay up for yourself treasure in heaven and touch not the flesh-pots of Egypt – for whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again.

• He is talking of the believers’ inherited rewards of those that love Him..  for those that live by faith in His Word – “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal.  Lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven,” we are encouraged.

• Take my love; my Lord, I pourAt Thy feet its treasure store.Take myself, and I will beEver, only, all for Thee.

• Blessing in Suffering Some are blessed to discover the treasures of Christ through the hour of suffering. He comforts us in all our sufferings, so that we can comfort others who suffer -so that we will be able to give them the same comfort that God has given us. 2Cor.1:4  It is as each of his own reaches the extremity of their own suffering and pain..

• “Store up for yourselves treasures in heaven… we are warned where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.

• And we are charged to store up treasure in the world to come – our heavenly home, and if we comply with this directive, we will be blessed both here and there.
• Man’s Mind But what does it mean to store up treasure?
• Our Choice Treasure is not to do with whether we have much or whether we have little.
• Treasure in Heaven How important singleness of vision and an undivided heart is in this day of crisis.

• He also warned us never to forget that the trinkets and treasures of this life are as nothing by comparison with the immensity of what Christ has done for us.

• Let us treasure the Word of God and keep its truth ever before us so that we may recognise the prophetic times in which we live.

• The northern kingdom of Israel had already been judged and carried away by the Assyrians, and now the southern kingdom of Judah was also exiled and taken into slavery in Babylon.Not only did Nebuchadnezzar destroy the city and the sanctuary with fire, but he carried away the Temple treasures from Jerusalem and put them in the house of his pagan gods.But God is not mocked, and He used this terrible crime to glorify His holy name.

• The Scriptures are a treasure-trove that most people do not want to recognise as authoritative, nor do they want to adhere to its instructions... and so it is regarded as an outdated storybook which is ridiculed and rejected by the majority, rather than being treated with reverence and respect.

• We, on the other hand are finite creatures, who are incapable of being all-knowing, like our omniscient God. But in His grace He allows those that are prepared to search for Him with all their heart to discover a treasure trove of truth that is hidden beneath the surface of Scripture..

• All who are born-again need to recognise the incalculable preciousness and eternal treasure that has become ours through Christ.

• Indeed we are called to lay up treasure in heaven, where moth and rust do not spoil and where thieves do not break through and steal..

• He worked unceasingly to bring to spiritual maturity, as many as would hear and receive the astonishing mysteries that were given to him on our account; the unsearchable riches in Christ and the surpassing treasures of God's grace and kindness toward us, in Jesus our Saviour.

• Let us not seek to be man-pleasers, which may get us high acclaim from our fellows and provide us with a worthy reputation in this life, but rather let us take every thought that rises up in our hearts captive to the Lord so that we can be pleasing to Him and store up for ourselves treasure in heaven.

• He exhorted his son to diligently seek her out as one would painstakingly search for hidden treasures - for a knowledge of the Holy One is understanding and has eternal consequences.

• It is a life that becomes progressively and eternally meaningful, as the child of God lays up for himself treasure in heaven, to the honour and glory of God.

• As we consider that God has given us all we need for life and godliness in Christ, in Whom are hidden ALL the treasures of wisdom and knowledge, may we be careful to discover more of His character, to walk in His ways, to listen to His voice, and obey all that the spirit says to the Churches.

• When writing to Timothy, Paul is speaking of this wonderful, indwelling ministry when he says, Guard, through the Holy Spirit Who dwells in us, the treasure which has been entrusted to you.
• He also places the priceless treasure of the gospel of God deep within our heart.
• No wonder Paul charged Timothy, and all who are purchased by the blood of Christ to: Guard, through the Holy Spirit Who dwells in us, the treasure which has been entrusted to you.
• The same Spirit Who indwells us at the point of salvation and empowers us throughout our life, will enable us to guard the precious treasure that has been entrusted to us, as we grow in grace and in a knowledge of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

• How we should treasure the Word of God, for it is our guide and teacher, our strength, and our defence.
• And as the Psalmist trawls the depth of its treasures, his whispered prayer is: Open my eyes, that I may behold Wonderful things from Your Law.
• As His children, we should treasure His Word in our heart that we might not sin against Him.

• While the world delights in the wisdom of man, we discover that the wisdom of the wise is foolishness to the Lord, while spiritual illumination is the treasure that is poured into the heart of the man or woman of God, and biblical revelation is reserved for those that love the Lord and delight to do His will.

• Our hope is in heaven, and our treasure is in heaven.

• They were encouraged to glory in the ministry of the Holy Spirit and to draw power and strength from God, knowing that like Paul, all God's children have this same, heavenly treasure indwelling and empowering our earthly, mortal bodies!

• Let us treasure these verses in our hearts as we await the day when Jesus will come to take us to be with Himself: For now we see through a glass, darkly, but then face to face.

• How important that we hold this world's wealth and wisdom, together with position and power very lightly, for what we treasure in our hearts will become that which we worship.
• Oh, our eternal life is a free gift of grace, but we have the opportunity to lay up for ourselves treasure in our heavenly home.
• When we treasure the things of this world, our heart is far from the Lord, but when He becomes the greatest Treasure of our lives, our heart will worship at His feet in grateful thanksgiving and praise.
• The love of earthly treasure is a root of all kinds of evil, which can cause the believer to wander from the good news of the gospel of grace It can cause us to forfeit many of the rich blessings that God desires for each of His children to receive.
• Let us treasure the things of the Lord, and unrelentingly pursue after righteousness and godliness, faith and love, perseverance and gentleness, humility of heart and joy in the Lord, for when our treasure is rooted and grounded in Jesus, then our heart will be anchored to the Rock of our eternal salvation.

• And so we are encouraged by the Lord Jesus Himself to lay up eternal treasures in the heavenly realm, in preference to seeking after the trivial trinkets of this transient world.
• Jesus Christ is not only our spiritual inheritance, but He is also our everlasting treasure and eternal reward.
• Let us run to win so that we may lay up for ourselves good treasure in our heavenly home, for although our sin is forgiven and eternal life is our present possession, we will be judged for what we did in our lives, whether for good or ill.

• If only we would expend the same devotional and commitment in developing godliness as an athlete does when exercising his body, we would lay up for ourselves eternal treasure.

• We are urged to lay up for ourselves treasure in heaven: Gold, silver and precious stones, as Paul calls it, where moth and rust does no damage and thieves do not break in and steal.

• We are not to store up riches on earth but to lay up treasure in heaven.
• He points out that godly wisdom should be the true treasure we pursue, and reminds us that irrespective of one's station in life, whether desperately poor or fabulously wealthy, our purpose in life should be to honour the Lord.

• The Lord knows the deepest pain that sears the heart of His people and we are told in Psalm 56 that, The Lord puts all my tears into His bottle. He treasures the tears that His people shed in this world, for they witness many evils and have to endure much persecution and pain for the sake of Christ.

• He is to search for wisdom as he would seek for hidden treasure and precious stones... and he is to understand that the fear of the Lord and reverence for the holy name of God... is the beginning of wisdom and the fount of all knowledge.
• And just as this young man is charged to readily receive the word of his earthly father and to treasure his commands in his heart, so we are to receive the Word of truth from our Heavenly Father with all readiness of spirit... and to value His teaching, in the inner reaches of our mind.
• We have to take the Word of the Lord to heart and to store up its truth deep within our being - for those of us who joyfully receive His Word of truth, and treasure His commands in our heart, will discover that they become an ornament that graces our head and a protective shield that keeps us from falling into the foolish ways of the world.
• May we be those who dig deeply into the treasure houses contained in the pages of Scripture and discover for ourselves the boundless riches of Christ, in Whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

• Our only sufficiency against the perils of philosophy, legalism, religiosity, and every other form of human of reasoning is in Christ: In Him are hidden ALL the treasures of true wisdom and godly knowledge.

• Jesus is the foundation upon which our knowledge is founded, and He alone commands our reverential fear, humble worship, and eternal devotion, for in Him are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge, and we are positioned in Him.

• Let us search out and rejoice in the unfathomable treasures of God's Word, which are hidden within the pages of Scripture.

• While he was living in the corrupt city of Sodom, Lot seemed more interested in accumulating earthly wealth than storing up treasures in heaven and preaching the good news to lost sinners.

• He made a point of telling His disciples that His love for us is as passionate and full and glorious and unending as the love that flows between Him and His Father, Just as the Father has loved Me, SO I have also loved you...  The way that God the Father adores His beloved Son is exactly the say way that Jesus treasures each of US.

• Should we not treasure these things in our heart and ponder them daily in our heart, by faith with thanksgiving?

• Instead of storing up treasure in heaven, there is a danger that the things of this dying world become of greater importance than our eternal destiny.

• Assuredly, this is a truth that must rejoice the heart of all God's blood-bought children; a truth that each one of us can treasure in our hearts and rejoice with singing, as we look for our blessed hope and journey towards our heavenly home.

• To prevent ourselves from being deceived, we must come to a secure understanding that in Christ alone are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge, so that we are not enticed from biblical truth by the convincing arguments of men and their humanistic philosophies.

• This apostle of God revealed many of the biblical truths and treasures which we have received as a free gift of grace, by trusting in Christ Jesus as Saviour.

• In the time we have left, let us store up treasures in heaven, where moth and rust will not destroy.

• Like his father, Solomon knew that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and recognised that godly instruction is a family treasure that needs to be passed on from father to son.
• But let us never forget that in Christ are found ALL the treasures of wisdom, knowledge, and understanding, and we who have been saved by grace through faith have direct access to the Lord Himself, for we have the mind of Christ - and any of us who lack wisdom are entreated to ask God - Who will give generously to all, without finding fault.

• May each of us treasure the Light we have in our hearts and remember that no matter where we are, what we do, or however dark the path we tread, the Light of the World is not only with us but indwells our heart, and will fill our inner being with His perfect peace when our mind is stayed on Him.

• But however glorious our salvation and privileged our service, our calling first and foremost is to worship at His feet, to delight to do His will, to treasure His Word in our hearts, and to remain in the centre of His will for the rest of our life.
• May our highest joy and greatest delight be to live in the centre of God's will and to treasure His Word in our heart.

• And yet God has taken those apparently useless, insignificant human forms and poured into them a revelation of the glorious gospel of His only begotten Son.God has poured into our hearts the divine light of His love and glory, the glorious truth of His salvation and grace, the rich treasure of the good news of Christ, Who alone can save a sinner from the penalty and power of sin, death, and hell.
• We have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power within, may be of God – and not of us.
• Yes, our bodies are indeed earthen vessels, but the treasure that has taken up residence within our mortal frame, is the beautiful Spirit of Christ Jesus our Lord.
• It is through faith in Christ Jesus that we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the incomparable greatness of the power within, will come from God and not from ourselves.The new, eternal life of the resurrected Lord Jesus was breathed into our bodies, which were dead in trespasses and sins.
• The light of the knowledge of the glory of God started to stream into our hearts at the point of salvation - and His indwelling Spirit is the greatest treasure of God, Who resides in mortal man.
• The almighty Creator, Who caused light to shine out of darkness, is the One Who has shone in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ – so that His life may dwell in us and His love may shine into our hearts, so that we may be made ministers of His grace and show forth the excellency of His power to those that remain dead in their trespasses and sins.There is no merit in us that we should be so honoured, as the contrast between our frail, feeble, perishing bodies and His divine strength and eternal light demonstrates – but by His goodness and grace, this heavenly treasure has been placed in earthen vessels - our human body, which is Christ in us the hope of glory, so that the excellency of that power may be shown forth in our lives.We are the earthen vessels into which the glorious truth of the gospel of God has been poured, causing our mortal bodies to become the temple of the Holy Spirit, Who uses this gospel light to guide us into all truth and as we proclaim the glorious gospel of grace to others.
• The treasure within is the Spirit of Christ - so that as we work the works of God, the surpassing greatness of His power will be of God and not of us.

• His claim to be God offended them, and their devious enquiry was designed trip Him up, but in Christ are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge, and they were astonished at His gracious replies.

• May we take to heart this warning in Hebrews and seek to live a God-honouring life, and not forfeit His perfect peace in our heart, His rest for our soul, treasure in heaven, and any reward that could have been ours, for a defeated Christian life is the ultimate tragedy of disobedience, apostasy, and unbelief.

• Should we not read, mark, learn, inwardly digest, and apply all the treasures that are given to us through this open secret, which is His precious Word, for Scripture has shown that all are the prisoners of sin – in order that God’s promised blessing, which depends on faith in Jesus Christ, may be given to all who believe in Him.

• In this case, we would be eternally saved, but would have laid up no treasure in heaven, for in me there is no good thing.

• May we treasure the goodness of the Lord and His great compassion towards us, knowing that He will not fail us, forsake us, or destroy us - for He will not forget what He swore to Israel, and He will not fail to carry out His promises to the Church.

• He frequently took examples from the natural world in order to teach an important, spiritual truth and to teach that pursuing kingdom truths, which will last forever, is of far greater value than chasing after the temporary treasures of this world.

• Paul knew that one of the best safeguards against false doctrine, empty philosophies, religious legalism, and apostate teaching and is to know the truth, and he is careful to reaffirm the foundational truth of the glorious gospel of grace to remind these believers: In Christ are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
• And in Christ are hidden all the treasures of wisdom, all the treasures of knowledge, all the treasures of life, and all the treasures of matter and space in the material and spiritual realm.

• They needed to cherish that which is of eternal worth, and pursuing the treasures of heaven rather than the trinkets of earth.

• Let us spend time with the Lord in His Word, increasing and deepening our understanding of Jesus: In Whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

• May we take to heart these warnings from Zephaniah and act with justice, treasure the Lord's gracious love, and walk humbly in the company of our God and Saviour, for His greater praise and eternal glory.

• The whole fullness of God's nature dwells bodily in Christ, and all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden in Him.
• May we repent of any pride or neglect that has caused us to doubt the power, ability, wisdom, knowledge, or truth of Christ Jesus our Lord, in Whom dwells all the treasures of God's wisdom, knowledge, strength, and grace.

• Like the psalmist, let us treasure God's Word, meditate on it, and delight in it.

• For in Him are hidden all the treasures of wisdom, knowledge, truth, and life eternal, for Christ is the power of God and He is the wisdom of God, and we are one with Him, by faith.
• May we look to Christ, Who is the centre and circumference of our entire life, knowing that in Him alone are all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge, and Who is the only secure foundation upon which our faith must rest.

• Our own human wisdom is of non-effect to God, but Christ became our wisdom (for in Him dwells all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge).

• Aligning our human will with the sovereign will of our eternal God, is an important key to living a victorious and contented life in this world, while at the same time we will be laying up for ourselves treasure in heaven, in the ages to come.

• Paul did not renounce his Jewish heritage nor spurn his Roman citizenship, but he recognised the insufficiency of the world, its trappings and all that it offers, and learned that in all things Christ is his sufficiency. Paul compared all that he had before his conversion to his new position in Christ, and recognised that although these earthly treasures brought glory to himself, they were insignificant by comparison to all he had in Christ.
• And Jesus warns us against laying up treasures on earth (where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal), but exhorts us to lay up treasures in heaven.

• If we build up rewards on earth instead of securing treasures in heaven and if we delight in the praises of men rather than that of the Lord, we will have nothing to show for the life that we lived.

• We are commanded to lay up treasure in heaven and not seek after the pleasures and comforts of this world system, for in God's economy, that is what it means to 'save' one's life.

• He encouraged Timothy to hold on faithfully and firmly to the pattern of sound teaching he had received from Paul, and to protect and vigorously defend the gospel of grace, which he described as 'a precious treasure' entrusted to all God's children by the indwelling Holy Spirit.

• May we who are His children earnestly seek to discover the hidden treasures as are contained within its pages, and apply it to our lives: For blessed is he who reads, and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it, for the time is near.

• We should not participate in lustful passions - like the unsaved Gentiles who do not know the Lord... for we have this Treasure in earthen vessels - we have the indwelling Spirit of Christ living within our hearts and are to live our lives accordingly.

• He encourages us to lay up everlasting treasure in heaven and not to be mesmerised by the corrupting wealth of this world.

• And so we are called to be faithful soldiers who obey their commander-in-chief, determined athletes who run with patience the race set before them, industrious farmers who faithfully plant and tend their crops to harvest, diligent workmen who treasure God's Word in their hearts, and strong buildings which stand firm on their immovable foundation, and that Rock is Christ.

• He who keeps (treasures) His Word [who bears in mind His precepts, who observes His message in its entirety], truly in him has the love of and for God been perfected (completed, reached maturity).

• Reverence for the Lord and trust in His Word is the foundation upon which true wisdom is based, and we in the Church age have discovered that: In Christ are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
