God chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before Him. In love
It is the Father that has blessed us in the heavenlies – in Christ. It is the Father Who sent His Son to redeem us – to set us apart and to sanctify us. It is the Father Who bountifully blesses us with every spiritual blessing – in Christ. It is the Father Who has poured out the unsearchable riches of Christ over our heads. It is the Father Who anointed us with grace upon grace and blessings upon blessing.
God in His sovereignty selected a people to be His own treasured possession.. and He chose them before the world was created to be His own peculiar people. God in His wisdom knew that man would sin and that man would need a saviour – and in His eternal council chambers God purposed that Christ would be all in all.
God in His omniscience knew all who would believe on His only begotten Son – and He chose them in Christ before the foundation of the world to be His children. God in His eternal attributes endued man with freewill to accept or to reject Him, and God chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy, set apart and blameless before Him – in love. Ephesians 1:4
God in His justice purposed that sin must be punished and the wages of sin is death, but God in His grace so loved the world that He sent His only begotten Son, to die, so that Christ would identify with man and become the propitiation for our sins – so that all Who believed on His name would not perish but have everlasting life.
And so God in Himself, knew before time began the choice every man would make… What think ye of Christ? for He is the power of God and the wisdom of God, and in Him is salvation-: redemption : sanctification : glorification. God in His grace chose us and in His grace sought us and in His grace He saved us. And God in His grace placed us IN CHRIST, that we should be holy for He is holy,
It is by God’s doing we are in Christ Jesus and eternally united with Him, and to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and Christ the wisdom of God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption 1Cor.1:24
God in His grace has united us together as one – with Christ Jesus. For our benefit, God has made Him to be wisdom itself. Christ made us to be right with God. He made us pure and holy, and He freed us from sin. 1Cor.1:30 God in His grace chose us to be in union with Christ and in fellowship with Himself – not because of our own merit but by His amazing and eternal grace, and God chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before Him – in love.
