God’s Eternal Gift - Perfect MAN Eternal SON (1)

The Father sent His Son to be the Saviour of the world.
1 John 4:14

Heart of Love

The heart of God is a heart of love, and in giving His only begotten Son to be born into the world, so that He could die as our kinsman-Redeemer, demonstrates a love that is stronger than death – an unfathomable love that the Father has for humanity. God opened the floodgates of heaven and poured out a gift of unimaginable love over all mankind – for in being born in the likeness of human flesh, Christ bound Himself irrevocably and eternally to the human race, with cords that cannot be broken.

A Man Forever

When Christ the Saviour was welcomed into the world that first Christmas day, the Father gave His beloved Son to become a member of the human race for all eternity. Jesus Christ did not become a man for 33 years only – but a man forever. When the eternal Son of God was born in Bethlehem, as the perfect Son of Man, He became a fully-fledged member of the human family in a human body – with a human nature, which He will retain throughout the eternal ages to come.

Gift of Love

God loved the world so dearly that He gave the Son of His love to bear the punishment for our sin and to die an ignominious death as the substitute for our sin, on a cruel Roman cross – and He gave His Son as a Gift forever – to a race of fallen sinners. Today there is a man seated on the throne of God, Who was born in Bethlehem 2000 years ago.  He was laid in a manger and grew up in a simple home. He walked this earth and suffered and died – but He rose again and all for love of me and you.

Son and Child

How true is the saying:- Deity is enshrined in humanity, for unto us a Son is given, and humanity is enfolded in the bosom of infinite love. for unto us a Child is born – Who is Christ the Lord – the eternal Son as perfect Man. The joyful arrival on earth of the Saviour, was heralded by an angelic throng – but it was also a departure of the Son of God from the bosom of His beloved Father, and from that point on, one member of the Godhead would possess a human body.

Pivotal Point

From the first fatal fall of man in Eden, the sin of man had been covered by the blood of bulls and goats, but His birth was a pivotal point in history – when the Son could say to the Father:- Sacrifice and offering You did not desire, but a (human) Body You have prepared for Me. In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin You had no pleasure. Christ identified Himself with the fallen race man so completely and so intimately, that His birth into a world of men was an irreversible seal on the pages history.

Historical Reality

The incarnation of the second Person of the Trinity, that was purposed in the eternal council chambers of God became a reality so that Christ could declare: Behold, I have come to do your will, O God — in the volume of the book it is written of Me. The heart of God is indeed a heart of love, and the irreversible gift of His only begotten Son to a sinful world, was predetermined so He could die as our kinsman-Redeemer.

Amazing Love

The amazing, unfathomable love the Father has for humanity is demonstrated – in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us – so that we might live.
