The Lord's slave must not quarrel, but must be gentle to everyone, able to teach, and patient,
2 Timothy 2:24(HCSB)
The Holy Spirit points out that the way into the true Holy of Holies is not yet thrown open as long as the former tabernacle remains a recognized institution and is still standing... For Christ (the Messiah) has not entered into a sanctuary made with human hands, only a copy and pattern and type of the true one, but He has entered into heaven itself. (Hebrews 9:8,24 AMP)
Fellowship with God must be of that kind, that whether we can go to meetings or not, we still have the Lord; whether we have nice soulish music or not, we still have the Lord. You are not in that realm: "Neither in this mountain nor yet at Jerusalem...." Bricks and mortar cannot communicate with spirit. Man's soul can communicate with God only through the vehicle of his spirit in union with God. That is what Calvary has done. You can understand now, of course, why the message of the Cross is unacceptable... and that, because of this strong cleaving to a historic, traditional inheritance, you will be outside the camp if you are going to proclaim it and stand for it. And, too, the awful thing is this that Satan has taken hold of the Divine representation, or typical system, to appropriate it, when God has done away with it, and that what God brought in for a temporary purpose he has captured for himself in order to obscure the real nature of fellowship with God.
Now no one will think that I am saying that there are no spiritual people in that system of things. I am not saying that; but I am saying that if that represents for them their spiritual life if they must have that, if that is the realm in which they live... that they do not see beyond that and are not free from that as a thing in itself then they have missed the meaning of Calvary, and they are bound to miss all the meaning of Christ crucified the wisdom and the power of God. Wrestling with principalities and powers wants something more than a system of external things. You see, we are up against a terrific business; we are up against a spiritual opposition which is colossal, and only a spiritual position is adequate to that nothing less. We do not want to be in any position less than the Lord's first and best for us. The toys, the picture books, the illustrations, the symbols, the types are for children who have little intelligence; they are taken away at a certain time when God is out to have, not children but sons; and there is all the difference between the two. And so Calvary dismisses the kindergarten of external things in relation to God and brings in the fullness of heavenly order so as to make of us full-grown sons of God. May we be so!
The Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. § [He] Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed. § As by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.
But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life. § There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.
THE LORD OUR RIGHTOUSNESS.
The meekness and gentleness of Christ.
A bruised reed He will not break, and smoking flax He will not quench. “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.” … And He began to say to them, “Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.” So all bore witness to Him, and marveled at the gracious words which proceeded out of His mouth.
And the Lord turned and looked at Peter. Then Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how He had said to him, “Before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times.” So Peter went out and wept bitterly.
He will feed His flock like a shepherd; He will gather the lambs with His arm, and carry them in His bosom, and gently lead those who are with young.
You are made partakers of His resurrection, through the faith wrought in you by God, who raised Him from the dead" (Col 2:12, Cony.).
All true believers are gratefully aware that they are not going to hell, but few realize that they are already in heaven.
"There is no question about there being a beautiful new position for the believer, but people limit it to its being theirs when they die. Scripture shows that it is ours now! People say, You get to heaven when you die.' No such thing. You have it now. It is not your death that entitles you to it, but the Lord Jesus' death. There is not a single shade that was between us and the Father, but the Lord Jesus has removed in His death." -J.B.S.
"The great work of the Lord Jesus was wrought on the Cross to bring us to the Father; His death and His Blood, His ascension and sitting on the Throne; all mean one thing - our being brought nigh to dwell in the Father's presence. And with what object? That the Father may have us, to mature us, to work in us that which is well-pleasing in His sight. Let no one think that the entrance into the Holiest is the end; it is only the beginning. It brings us into the right position, in which the Father in His divine power can work out His will and purpose in us - conforming us to the image of His Son." -A.M.
"The Lord Jesus stood where I was, and now I stand where He is, and that is the only place I have before my Father. We may fail and grieve the Holy Spirit, but that is where we are set." -J.N.D.
"If there be progress upward there must be progress in life and ways down here; you cannot see the need for a change in your ways here until you are transformed by the influence of nearness to Him there. You thus gradually find things here are not suitable for the order and nature of the things which are so attractive to the renewed heart up there." -J.B.S.
"Your life is hidden with Christ in God" (Col. 3:3).
I pray…
that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
Ephesians 3:14-21
How we love Paul’s prayer for God’s revelation to the church – in Ephesians chapter one. He prays that we understand our favoured position in Christ – and His fullness in us. But in chapter three Paul longs that we would realise these glorious truths in all we do.
He desires that we not only know them but also spiritually apply them to our lives. Paul yearns that we appropriate the multiplied riches of God’s grace in our life – today. We are not only to know about God’s mighty strength – but to be empowered by it: that you are strengthened with power through His Spirit, in the inner man.
Sometimes we misunderstand the reason that Paul prays for our spiritual strength. Often we pray for strength so that we may be successful in our work or ministry. Sometimes we pray for special strength in one particular aspect of our physical lives, but Paul prays for strength for us so that we may be rightly related to the Lord Jesus – for when we are rightly related to Him, everything falls into place.
It is so that Christ may dwell deeply in our hearts through faith. It is that we may be rooted and grounded in the

Ephesians 1:3
There is a weight of glory and blessing attached to the little words 'every' and 'all'. It is not one or few blessings; many or even most blessings but ALL blessings. God has bestowed on His children all and every single possible spiritual blessing. God has secured all and every single possible spiritual blessing in the heavenlies. God has secured all and every single possible spiritual blessing – in CHRIST.
All that we need or could need, both now and forever, are 'yes' and 'amen' in Christ. His ‘every’ blessing touches all that is needed for the spirit soul and body. His spiritual benefits encompass all that is past, present, and future. His many blessings provide all that’s needed for salvation, sanctification, and service. Our blessings in Christ touch everything in time and stretch through eternity.
Everything that touches our lives on earth – or our home in heaven.. every blessing has been provided by the Father for His children in the heavenlies, for every good and perfect gift comes from the Father of light. James 1:17 God has blessed all and every saint with every spiritual blessing – in Christ.
These blessings from God circumnavigate all we could think, imagine, or hope. The Father’s blessings demonstrate the length, breadth, depth, and height of His love. His favours encompass every single heavenly blessing in God’s lavish economy.
God’s gracious heart of love gave His only begotten and dearly beloved Son for us. God’s bountiful gift of grace provides a way for us to be clothed in His righteousness. He clothed Himself in the likeness of human flesh, so we could be reckoned righteous. Christ identified Himself with our fallen race, so we could be identified with Him.
God’s holy character and generous grace have secured for us His perfect pardon. God’s loving-kindness and unchangeable holiness – embraced at Calvary’s
