My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. The pains of death surrounded me, and the pangs of Sheol laid hold of me; I found trouble and sorrow. § Reproach has broken my heart, and I am full of heaviness; I looked for someone to take pity, but there was none; and for comforters, but I found none. § Look on my right hand and see, for there is no one who acknowledges me; refuge has failed me; no one cares for my soul.
