You have not come to the mountain that may be touched and that burned with fire, and to blackness and darkness and tempest… But you have come to Mount Zion… to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect, to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant. § Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. § We do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel, and his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts: “I am the First and I am the Last; besides Me there is no God.” § Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Are You not from everlasting, O Lord my God, my Holy One? § Who is God, except the Lord? And who is a rock, except our God?
