• Worthy Record For thousands of years, such testimonials have affirmed the truth of God’s Word, and the Spirit of God has compiled this substantial witness into a worthy record – so that the Word of their testimony may bolster your faith and mine.

• These sins are imputed to us. The sins we commit are credited to our account, so to speak – because we have sinned! But both inherited sin from Adam and the sins imputed to us – are all worthy of death. Death is the outcome for our inherited sin nature and the many sins  that we all commit.

• Old Nature and New Life The old sin nature we received from Adam is at enmity with God and kept us in bondage and condemnation, but it was crucified with Christ, and its power was severed at the cross – freeing us forever from the bondage of sin and death.This new life in Christ is His sinless life – which was imparted into our very beings. The old sin nature is our terrible Adamic heritage – which keeps us in bondage to sin. Unsaved men can only function under the power of the old sin nature, and whatever they do, whether good or ill, is worthy of nothing more than God’s utter condemnation.

• Doubt and Disbelief The other is do with the enemy of our soul – the accuser of the child of God. Satan that old serpent called the devil seeks to accuse us day and night before God. He will seek to make you think that you are not worthy to be called into such service.

• A Worthy Calling Our initial salvation when we were born again is a gift of grace – received by faith. Our Christian walk as we grow in grace is also a gift of grace – received by faith. And as we grow in grace and in a knowledge of Him, so we will reflect our Lord – and we will walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which we have been called.

• Fruit of Suffering The fruit of suffering and training is the drawing closer and nearer to Christ. The outworking of sufferings are the benefits this closeness to Him gives to others. The learning and knowledge of Christ in a life, is through the school of suffering. The exercise and outworking of Christ in a life, is enhanced and refined through trials. Paul reckons we should embrace trials: for the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory, which shall be revealed in us.

• Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, and be very thankful and content in all things Phil.4:11 - and finally brethren… whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honourable, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are commendable, if anything is excellent and worthy of praise – think on these things.

• There is nothing so good or worthy that can gain an unbeliever His acceptance – except believing on the Lord Jesus Christ. It never has and it never will depend on man – it all depends on Him.

• Or have you ever considered His ear is wider open to another, favored bond-slave – because in your sight, you consider that person more worthy to God?  If so, you question the truth of God’s eternal character.

• Only a sinless Man would be worthy to unseal the scroll, but all men are sinners, and all fall short of God's glory.

• Should we not worship the Lord in the beauty of His perfect holiness, knowing that He alone is worthy of our worship and praise?

• The problems and pain that we face in this fallen world are not worthy to be compared with the glories that are to come hereafter.

• Paul is able to rejoice in his sufferings because he was counted worthy to suffer for the sake of Jesus Christ.

• Paul's plans were worthy and worthwhile, but God had ordained that he should change them and go and share the gospel with the people elsewhere.

• For three glorious chapters, Paul has been outlining the riches of God's grace towards His people, explaining our privileged position in Christ and reminding us of the love of God which passes all human understanding, before he implores us to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which we have been called, to the praise and glory of God the Father and our Saviour, Jesus Christ.

• John knew he was not sufficiently worthy to even carry the sandals of the One about Whom he testified.

• Throughout the word of God, we are exhorted to glorify the Lord and offer Him great respect, for He is worthy of our reverential praise and high admiration.

• Although Paul was the first to point out, elsewhere in scripture, that a workman is worthy of his hire, we discover that he used his tent-making abilities to provide for his basic needs during much of his own ministry.

• God has not given us these things because we are worthy creatures, but to the praise of the glory of His grace.

• Let us not seek to be man-pleasers, which may get us high acclaim from our fellows and provide us with a worthy reputation in this life, but rather let us take every thought that rises up in our hearts captive to the Lord so that we can be pleasing to Him and store up for ourselves treasure in heaven.

• We are subjects of the King of kings and we are called and chosen to walk in a manner that is worthy of our calling.

• The barbaric suffering and humiliation that accompanied Christ’s cruel death at Calvary was designed to bring to completion God’s foreordained redemption plan which He purposed would bring many condemned sinners back into a right relationship with God, by faith, and adopt them into His family as His children.The death of His only begotten Son was acceptable to the Father, because He alone was worthy to pay the price for the sin of the world.

• Paul considered himself as the least-worthy of sinners and certainly not deserving of salvation, yet it was by grace that God looked down at this legalistic man who was ravaging the Church, entering house after house and dragging off men and women, putting them in prison, and mercilessly persecuting the Body of Christ... and decided to use him as His apostle to the Gentiles!

• The hatred and revilings we receive because we are His should not surprise us - rather we should rejoice, for when we suffer on His account He is glorified and because we are identified with our Saviour, the Spirit of glory and God rests upon us.In the early days of the Church, it was considered to be a privilege to be considered worthy to be persecuted for the cause of Christ, and believers rejoiced that they could suffer shame for His name’s sake.

• We should not shrink back from suffering for righteousness' sake, but regard it as a privilege and honour to be worthy to suffer for Him Who died for us and rose again to save our soul.

• In his final greeting to the Church at Thessalonica, Paul gives various warnings and exhortations to the Body of Christ on how to live a godly life that is worthy of our position in Christ.

• On those occasions when we find ourselves under intense pressure or discover discouragement and disappointment descending into our soul, may we take Paul's words to heart: Reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us, and fan into flames the gift of God that is within us.

• Had the believers at Corinth been walking worthy of their calling, there would have been no need for Paul to write this stinging, corrective teaching in the thirteenth chapter of first Corinthians, but all aspects of love were missing from their lives, and their ungodly behavior required Paul's stern admonition: Love as Christ loved us.
• Let us, in the power of the Holy Spirit, walk worthy of our calling and love others as Christ loved us.

• The Lamb Who was slain from the foundation of the world, is the only One who is worthy of all blessings and praise and honour and glory and so we read: I will come with the mighty deeds of the Lord God and make mention of Your righteousness, which is Yours alone.
• This man has become a worthy witness of God's goodness to many of his friends and neighbours, as he joyfully proclaims, I will come in the power of your mighty acts, and remember that You alone are righteousness.

• Paul puts it this way: Whatever is true, whatever is honourable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.

• From start to finish, this glorious song of David declares the splendour and wonder of the Lord God Almighty Whose name is great, Whose glory is everlasting, and Who is worthy to be praised and worshipped throughout eternity.

• We are to walk worthy of our position in Christ by faith.

• Let us flee from any form of unrighteous judgement, hypocritical conclusions, sanctimonious reasonings, legalistic tendencies, and destructive criticisms, but let us hold fast to sound doctrine and seek to walk worthy before the Lord.

• At first, he makes an appeal for Christian unity in every sphere of life and urges each of us to walk worthy of our calling.
• When we are walking worthy of our calling and demonstrating genuine humility of heart that comes from the Spirit of God, we will apply the Word of God in our lives, we will put on the New Man, and use our spiritual gifts and graces wisely and in line with Scripture.

• Blessed are the poor in spirit for it is only the heart that is broken before the Lord and truly humbled under a deep conviction of one's own unworthiness before a holy and righteous God, that a man or woman of faith can offer to the Lord the sacrifice of a broken heart - a living sacrifice, worthy of His acceptance.

• Paul knew that a principle of 'do as I do' rather than 'do as I say' is a most effective way to train others in the things of God, and he advised this trusted colleague to present himself to his brothers and sisters in Christ as a worthy pattern of the good behaviour and the godly conduct that should be the hallmark of every spiritual believer.

• David learned that the way to live a victorious life is to remember the unsearchable greatness of our praise-worthy God.

• Unlike certain other Christian ministries, Paul had made the decision to use his tent-making skills to support his missionary work, and unlike many Christian ministries, then as now, Paul did not appeal for donations or ask for any financial support from local churches. Nevertheless, the believers in Philippi recognised that all Christian work necessitates financial expenditure and that a Christian worker is worthy of his hire.
• These believers understood that Paul's ministry work generated certain financial costs, and they were ready and willing to make some personal sacrifices to donate to this worthy calling.

• As Paul wrote in his first letter to Timothy: This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners.

• As children of God and joint heirs with Christ, the conduct that is expected of all members of the Body of Christ, is clearly laid out in the later chapters of Ephesians, and Paul implores us to walk worthy of the calling with which we have been called.

• At His Second Coming, He will come as the worthy Lamb of God Who is seated upon the throne of God's glory, the Lamb Who was slain to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honour and glory and blessing.

• May we walk worthy of our calling as we watch for the any day return of our God and Saviour.

• Paul explained that just as a workman is worthy of his hire, so also a Christian worker is equally entitled to receive financial support from the church community they serve.

• May we nail our spiritual colours to the mast of our little boats, walk in a manner that is worthy of the calling wherewith we were called, and may we not be ashamed of the gospel of Christ for it is the power of God to all who believe.

• He made no complaint about the suffering and pain he endured in order to ensure that the gospel of grace was proclaimed, for he knew that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed hereafter.

• And let us beware that we do not lose our saver by walking in tandem with the world and living a lukewarm Christian life, but rather let us live our life unto the Lord and to His praise and glory so that we may not waste this life of ours, but be a worthy witness to the goodness and grace of our Heavenly Father Who loved the world so much that He gave His only begotten Son so that whoever believes in Him would not perish, but have everlasting life.

• Abraham bowed before the Lord, for He alone is worthy of all praise and glory.

• Is what I am and what I think worthy of Him, and is my behaviour an accurate reflection of His holy name, or would I be ashamed if He were to catch me in the very act?

• Different trees like the Olive tree, the Fig tree, and the Grapevine, were asked to become 'king of the Trees', but these worthy trees declined the request. 

• He told his followers that someone standing in their midst was of far greater import than he, and confessed that he was not worthy to untie the strap of His sandals. The identity of the Lord Jesus was gradually revealed to John the Baptist over a period of time, and once again as Jesus passed by, he cried out, BEHOLD!

• The Centurion explained to the Lord that he was not worthy to have Jesus visit his home and also explained a fundamental truth; he said that because he was a man who carried out commands from his superior officers and gave orders to his subordinates, he understood that words have power.
• He had been prepared to travel to the home of this Roman officer to heal his servant, but this man humbly admitted, I am not worthy for You to come and enter my house, but only say the word, and my servant will be healed.

• He believed that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed in us.

• He quite correctly states that Christian faith should be accompanied by acts of kindness, good deeds, and worthy works.

• As God's blood-bought children we are called into union with Christ, identified with His righteousness, seated with Him in heavenly places, and exhorted to live and walk in a manner that is worthy of the divine calling with which we have all been called.

• Myriads of angelic beings, together with the four living creatures and the 24 elders united their voices to sing, worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom and might and honour and glory and blessing.
• HIS is the power, for He has authority over all dominions in heaven and on earth, for the Lamb of God is worthy of all praise.
• Worthy is the Lamb who was slain - to receive power and riches and wisdom and strength and honour and glory and blessing.
• Yes, HIS is all the honour and He alone must be highly esteemed for the Lamb of God is most worthy of all praise.  Behold - the Lamb of God.

• John instinctively knew that unless this scroll was opened, and the seven seals broken, God could neither complete His plans and purposes for mankind nor absolve Himself from Satan's accusations - and so the distraught apostle wept bitterly, for there was no man that was worthy to open the scroll or even to look at it.
• He alone was worthy to open the seven-sealed scroll, for He was both a member of the eternal Godhead and the one, perfect member of humanity.
• No created being, either angelic or human, was found worthy to take the scroll and to break its seven seals.
• No one was worthy to win back the creation for the Lord God.
• Only the Lamb of God was worthy to open the scroll.
• Only the eternal Son, Who set aside His glory and was born into the human race to die for me and you, was worthy to open the scroll.
• However, the Lamb Who died on the cross, also sits on the throne, and is worthy to unseal the scroll which will open the flood-gates of God's justified judgement on a world that rejected His offer of reconciliation and a people, who refused to believe on the name of His only begotten Son for the salvation of their souls.

• In this verse we read: The elders who rule well are to be considered worthy of double honour, especially those who work hard at preaching and teaching, and as believers, we are all called to treat our church elders with respect and take notice of their instructions and guidance.
• In this verse, Paul is also pointing out that there are certain pastors and elders who work particularly hard at preaching and teaching for the benefit of the whole, and Paul points out that they are worthy of double honour.

• May we develop a teachable spirit, and desire the pure milk and meat of the Word, which is able to make us strong in the Lord - so that we may be a worthy witness to His goodness and grace.

• He argues that in the light of the amazing grace of God that has been showered upon us all, and the manifold mercies He has poured upon all His children (including our past justification, our ongoing sanctification, and our future glorification), we should live a life that is worthy of our calling.

• May we seek to fulfil this worthy directive in the sustaining and almighty power of the Holy Spirit of God, for without Him we can do nothing, but in His sufficient strength we can demonstrate godly love to others in the same way that Christ loved US.

• As fallen sinners we are all justly condemned by God and are worthy of His righteous and everlasting punishment, and for two whole chapters we discover God's blistering accusations against us to be righteous and faultless.

• He confessed the sins they had committed and recognised they were not worthy of God's grace and deliverance, but his prayer was founded on the holy name and the unchanging faithfulness of God towards His people and he wept, Do not delay, because YOUR city and YOUR people are called by YOUR HOLY NAME.

• The disciples would have roughly pushed these little ones aside for more worthy personages, but Jesus welcomed them all with open arms and great rejoicing, knowing their trusting hearts were ever open towards Him.

• There were 24 stately elders casting their crowns before the Lord, crying out, O Lord and God, You are worthy to receive glory, and honour, and power, because You have created all things, and because of Your will they exist and were created.
• He clasped a scroll with writing on the front and the back, but it was securely sealed with seven seals, and a mighty angel proclaimed in a loud voice: Who is worthy to open the scroll and break its seals?
• It was then that it dawned on this beloved disciple that no one was worthy to open the scroll. 
• No one was even worthy to look inside the scroll!
• No wonder that in the midst of this heavenly scene and amidst the great angelic rejoicing, John wept uncontrollably because there was no one who was worthy to break the seal and open the scroll.
• All was not lost for the Lion of Judah can break every chain and open the book with its seven seals: HE is worthy to unseal the scroll.

• The world was not worthy to have these godly men and women in their midst, but each one held fast to their faith.
• Despite their great faith we read that this cloud of worthy witnesses: Did not receive the things God had promised them. 
• Why did these worthy men and women who found favour with God, not enjoy the blessings He had promised them?
• May we be prepared to hold fast to our faith, no matter what difficulties and dangers we face so that together with that glorious cloud of worthy witnesses, we may testify of His goodness and grace to us, and to all men. 

• I am not worthy to untie the strap of His sandals.

• This gives glory and honour to our Father in heaven and He alone is worthy of all praise and dominion, both now and forevermore.    

• The Lord is indeed worthy of receiving the exultant praise that David offered in his hymn of praise, for the heaven, the earth, and the entire universal creation came to be through His might and wisdom.

• But to his horror and deep despair, there was no-one in heaven or on earth, who was worthy to open the scroll and to redeem the world from Satan's clutches - not even one.
• NO SURPRISE that as the Lamb took hold of the scroll, the 24 elders were finally able to sing a wonderful new song: Worthy are You to take the book and to break its seals. Worthy are You, for You were slain... and purchased for God, with Your precious blood, men from every tribe and tongue and people and nation.
• May we lift up our voices in thanksgiving and praise, and join with that magnificent truth: Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for Thou wast slain, and hast redeemed US to God by thy blood - out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation.

• Verse 3 continues with an important affirmation that the Lord is worthy of sustained, universal, and never-ending praise: From the rising of the sun to its setting, the name of the Lord is to be praised.
• This psalm is a great call to commend the Lord for His great and majestic glory, for He is the Most High God Who is worthy of all our adoration.
• And for centuries that followed, the nation of Israel would look back to the first Passover lambs which was a type of the One, True, Unique Passover Lamb - the Lamb of God Who takes away the sin of the world, the Sacrificial Lamb Who is worthy of all honour, glory, might, majesty, dominion, and power, both now and throughout the eternal ages to come.
• And for us, we praise the Lord for His great and majestic glory, for He is the Most High Who is worthy of all our adoration.

• Let us live and work to His praise and glory - for He alone deserves all honour and glory, for He alone is worthy.

• Day by day, let us rejoice in the Lord our God, and lift up our hearts in prayer and praise, for He alone is worthy.

• There is no partiality with God and there should be none on our side either, for whether Jew or Gentile, male or female, young or old, bond or free... the Lord alone is worthy of ALL our combined praises and worship and His name should be lifted up in continuous prayer and never-ceasing jubilation by those that are called by His name.

• May the beauty of Jesus be seen in all we say and do so that we become a reflection of God's glory for His praise, and may we be prepared to display His glory throughout the eternal ages - for He alone is worthy of all honour and glory - throughout time and into eternity.

• He is our God, Who is worthy of our ongoing worship, our continuous praise and our grateful thanks at all times..

• NOW in Christ Jesus - we who formerly were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. Let us live our lives as unto to Lord, for He alone is worthy of our praise and thanks.

• John the Baptist had identified Jesus as the Lamb of God Who takes away the sin of the world, and the mighty signs and wonders He did, authenticated His Messianic claims, and should have produced fruit worthy of repentance.

• Although elsewhere Paul certainly stated that a workman is worthy of his hire and that it is right and proper to support Christian ministries and missionaries in their labour for Christ, nonetheless the important truth that Paul wanted to get across to Christians in Philippi was that he had learned how to get along in life in humble and meagre means - but also that he knew how to live in prosperity..

• May we truly stand firm in the evil day and grow in grace and wisdom and a knowledge of our Lord and Saviour in Whom we trust, for He alone is worthy of all praise. 

• The Lord our God is worthy of all glory and honour for innumerable reasons, not least because of Who He is and what he has done for the children of men.
• Similarly, the apostle Peter also rejoiced in God and gave glory to His name when he considered the amazing and over-abounding grace of God, and instructed believers: Grow in the grace and in a knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, Who is worthy of all honour and glory, both now and to the day of eternity.

• Let us give thanks to the Lord our God according to His righteousness, and let us sing praise to the name of the Lord Most High - for He alone is worthy.

• Let us study to show ourselves approved unto Him and lift high the lovely Lord Jesus Christ, Who alone is worthy of all praise and worship.

• Knowing that Christ has been lavished in such abundance, let us ensure that we live our lives in a manner that is worthy of the great Gift that we have received.

• God alone is the only One in Whom our trust must be continuously founded, for He alone is worthy.

• The severity of the scene must have intensified as the voice a mighty angel thundered the question that was on everyone's heart: Who is worthy to open the book and to break its seals? Who is entitled to carry out the vital action of breaking each successive seals, and revealing the content of this parchment? - was the question that burned on his lips. 
• There was no one in heaven, no one on the earth, and no one under the earth who was worthy to open the book or to look inside it.
• And so, John recorded his terrible grief and insurmountable horror, and wrote: Then I began to weep greatly because no one was found worthy to open the book or to look into it.
• John was engulfed with hopelessness when he understood that no one was worthy to open the scroll and release its contents.
• No wonder the apostle John wept uncontrollably at the shocking realisation: No-one was found worthy to open the book or to even look inside it.
• The question was not, 'Who is wealthy enough or educated enough to open the scroll, but who is WORTHY.
• Who is worthy to open the scroll?' The fall of Adam in the Garden of Eden dictated that every man is born in sin.
• Every man born of Adam's race is a sinner, and no sinner is worthy to stand before a holy God.
• Only GOD HIMSELF is worthy, but God is Spirit, and man is a mortal being of flesh and blood.
• The Redeemer had to be a perfect, sinless MAN Who would be worthy to open the scroll and bring the Kingdom of Heaven to earth.
• John seemed to understand that IF the 70th week of Daniel (the Time of Jacob's Trouble) was permanently postponed because there was no one worthy to open the scroll, God could never bring His plans and purposes to pass.

• May we be stimulated, in the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit, to offer Him the honour, praise, adoration, and thanks - for He alone is worthy.

• And then he proceeds to list the noble attributes and worthy characteristics of the ideal woman of God.

• In that day, His Name will be the only name worshipped and glorified - for He alone is worthy.

• We who are His children are also told to be of good cheer, for by His death and Resurrection He has overcome the world, and although we will inevitably face difficulties and dangers in this fallen world, the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

• We are to remember that God will never share His glory with another and no holy angel nor angelic messenger of the Lord, has ever accepted worship from men, as we are reminded by John in his Revelation of Jesus Christ - for He is the incarnate God Who alone is worthy of all worship and praise and honour and glory.

• And Paul's directives are for all who would live godly in Christ Jesus should take to heart: Conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ.
• Our actions, attitudes, words, and motives should all be done to His glory - not out of duty but from a heart-desire to walk worthy of our calling in Christ.
• Paul rightly pointed out that a worthy Christian walk is not dependent on being seen by others, but by maintaining a right spirit within: the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of might, the Spirit of the knowledge and of fear of the Lord.
• In this passage we are called to conduct ourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ, and to stand firm in one spirit, with one mind, striving together for the faith of the gospel.

• His deep desire was that they would walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, and live their lives to honour His name and please His heart.

• Following his initial greeting, he often offers blessings, prayers, and thanksgiving for various good and positive things with the Body of Christ which are worthy of commendation.

• For Christ's sake we should be content to suffer various persecutions, pain and difficulties, knowing that He not only gives us the necessary strength to endure - but that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us.

• On the surface, such principles and practices can appear to be so very noble and worthy of our consideration.

• Despite their commendable works, praise-worthy witness, and patient endurance in times of deep distress, these Ephesian Christians were given a blaring wake-up call and were severely scolded for leaving their first love.

• Let us contemplate these glorious truths that are ours by grace through faith in Christ Jesus and let us conclude that He is worthy to receive all power, riches, wisdom, might, honour, glory, and blessing.

• And we are reminded in this verse: Jesus has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, by just so much as the builder of a house has more honour than the house itself.

• We are not worthy to gather up the crumbs under His table and yet He is the God of all grace, abundant grace, multiplied grace, and He is the Father of all mercies, comfort, and peace.

• Suffering for Christ's sake and enduring many trials and tribulations on His account is part of the worthy walk of the normal Christian life, for we have not only been given the wonderful advantages of trusting in Christ for salvation, but also the holy privilege of suffering for Him.

• May we call to mind the wisdom of Paul, who faced every kind of disaster and difficulty in life, and refused to translate it in to worry, but wrote in his epistle to the Romans: For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us.

• Like Christ's other apostles, Paul could rejoice that he was worthy to suffer as a Christian, to suffer for the name of Jesus Christ, his Redeemer and Lord.

• Paul prayed that each believer would walk worthy before the Lord, be granted spiritual wisdom and insight, and develop a contented and thankful heart.

• These dear saints of God had to come to an understanding that suffering is often a clear indication of God's righteous 'judgement' on them - not a judgement of condemnation, but one that proves them to be worthy of their heavenly calling, in the kingdom of God.
• Just as Jesus identified with US, and suffered for righteousness’ sake, so we are identified with HIM and will suffer for righteousness’ sake - so that we will be considered worthy of the kingdom of God, which is a reason that we suffer in this fallen world.

• What an accurate description of our Lord and Saviour for He is the eternal King of kings in Whom dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily and His words and actions are full of grace and truth - and He is worthy of all honour and praise.

• Paul wanted these saints to be counted worthy of their calling so that Christ would be glorified in them, and they in Him.

• Surely He alone is worthy of all honour, and glory, and praise, and power, and might, majesty, dominion, and thanks - for ever and ever, AMEN.

• It is those that are walking worthy of their calling in Christ who are lowly of heart, gentle in spirit, long suffering in body, and of great kindness.

• All God wanted from His people was that they continued to heed His Word, trust His promises, obey His commands, and walk worthy of the privilege they enjoyed as His covenant nation.

• He is worthy for You to grant this to him, they pleaded, for he loves our nation and was the one who built us our synagogue.
• He did not go because the man was worthy or because of His love for the nation of Israel.
• Jesus came from heaven to heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the leper, and drive out demons, but as He drew closer to the house, more servants met Him with an astonishing message from the centurion, Lord, do not trouble Yourself further, for I am not worthy for You to come under my roof.
• I do not even consider myself worthy to come to meet You personally, but only say the word, and my servant will be healed. 

• Living a good life, helping the poor, giving money to worthy causes, or spending our life performing philanthropic acts, cannot save us, nor can working in the mission field, attending church services, participating in feast days, or doing all manner of kind deeds.

• We are not worthy to gather up the crumbs under His table, and yet we have been raised up together with Christ and seated together with Him in heavenly places - no wonder David blessed the holy name of the Lord with his whole being.
• Let us never forget that just as a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on all of us who fear Him - and He is worthy to receive ALL the honour and praise, forever and ever.

• Do YOU believe this?Let us come humbly before the throne of grace, knowing that we are not justified because of our works or worthiness or merit or religiosity or anything else - but because Christ is worthy.

• However, the people of God, have received the salvation of the Lord because they have been counted worthy and declared righteous, by faith in Christ's sacrifice for their sin - and although in this world, they are ridiculed, threatened, persecuted, and abused, they will inherit the kingdom of heaven.
• May we, who have been saved by grace through faith in Christ, conduct ourselves in a manner that is worthy of the gospel of Christ.
• May we, who have been counted worthy by faith in Christ, stand firm in one spirit, with one mind, as we strive together in the unity of the faith, for the hope that is ours in the gospel of Christ.

• Our spiritual growth needs to be rooted in the Word of God so that it can become a worthy witness of God's grace and spiritual fruit, which refreshes others in our daily activities - and all should be carried out for the glory of God.

• We could never have been sanctified and made holy through our own good works or worthy merit.

• Did He point us to the Law of Moses or deliver us a set of rules and regulations that all worthy Christians ought to keep?

• May we remember that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us, when Christ comes to take us to be with Himself.

• However, it was not long before the bitter lament of David turned into a hymn of praise when he remembered the many precious promises of the Lord - for he knew that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us in the days to come.

• The last section of Proverbs is frequently quoted because it contains a beautiful description of a godly woman, who is worthy of high praise - both from her close family as well as those that are acquainted with her.

• Indeed, John admitted that he was not sufficiently worthy to bend down and unlace His sandals.

• Jesus is the name that soothes the troubles breast and Who calms our fears, and it is the name of Jesus that causes undying thanks and worthy praise to well up in the bosom of the believer.

• He even testified that he was not worthy to untie the latchet of His shoe, for had been given confirmation from God that Jesus was the Christ.

• Having spent three wonderful chapters on our position in Christ and our Christian calling as children of God, Paul exhorts us to walk worthy of that great calling.
• Having detailed the wealth of our spiritual blessings, which God has freely bestowed upon all who are in Christ, we are beseeched by Paul to walk worthy of that calling which is honouring to the Lord.

• Paul urges these believers to live a life that is worthy of the gospel of Christ, to live as citizens of heaven and not to be influenced by the evils and enticements of this wicked, seductive world: Let your manner of life be worthy of the gospel of Christ, he writes, so that whether I come and see you or am absent from you, I may hear that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind, as you strive side by side for the faith of the gospel.
• First, their manner of life should be worthy of the gospel of Christ.
• In word and deed, action and attitude, they were to become a worthy witness to a wicked world, of the glorious gospel of Christ that transforms a doomed sinner in the clutches of Satan into a saved saint; redeemed by the blood of the Lamb, transferred into the kingdom of God's dear Son, and living a life that is being transformed into the image and likeness of Christ.

• May we NEVER hold Christ's sacrifice for us lightly, nor try to identify things in our life that we consider make us worthy of our salvation!

• Having built up this worthy argument, Paul then exhorts us, Therefore, be imitators of God, as dearly loved children.

• May we come to a deeper understanding of the joys that are ours through faith in Christ, and remember that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

• But, however painful and distressing life may become, we can also rejoice in the midst of our suffering, knowing that when His glory is finally revealed, we will rejoice with exceeding great joy.Paul tells us that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed in us, while James adds that suffering in this life develops, in us, a godly character and patient endurance, which is honouring to the Lord.

• The Lord is worthy of our ongoing worship and devoted praise.
• We need to be men and women after God's own heart - saying and doing only those things that honour His name, for He alone is worthy.

• As we reflect upon the glorious gospel of Christ and the amazing grace by which we have been accepted in the Beloved, should we not seek to walk worthy of our calling every moment of the day, with lowliness of heart and gentleness of spirit?

• We are now called to walk worthy of our calling, in humility of heart, unity of spirit, and as children of the light.

• Should not we, who are His blood-bought children, rejoice to hear such worthy instructions on praise and thanksgiving?
• The wisdom of Paul, the great apostle to the Gentiles, similarly reminds us that rejoicing in the Lord is our worthy calling, for His steadfast mercy truly does endure from generation to generation.

• Because we are the children of the King, we are urged to walk in a manner that is worthy of our royal status.
• Let us, therefore, as prisoners of our Lord Jesus Christ, walk in a manner worthy of the heavenly calling to which we have been called.

• When confronted with insurmountable barriers or when our very lives are threatened, may we be quick to cast ALL our cares on Him and in everything by prayer and supplication - with thanksgiving and faith, call on the name of the Lord, and when our Father gives us the answer, may we never forget to give Him ALL the praise and worship - for He alone is worthy. 

• Christ's sinless, human nature in union with His eternal, divine attributes, is infinitely superior to everything else, and He has been highly exalted by the Father, Who has placed all authority, might, majesty, dominion, and power, into His worthy hands.

• We who have access to the whole counsel of God, have a fuller understanding that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us, and we recognise the futility of questioning God's authority or challenging God's power when we are compassed about by evil.

• Like us, these believers had heard and understood the truth of the glorious gospel of Christ, and Paul longed for them to be filled to overflowing with a knowledge of God's will in all wisdom and understanding so that they might walk worthy of their calling and bear much fruit to the glory of God.

• This section of Paul's letter begins by explaining the responsibility we have as Christians, to walk in a manner that is worthy of our calling, and to live together in unity of spirit, with all humility, gentleness, patience, and loving tolerance towards one another.

• Suffering and all its aggressive associates pale into blinded insignificance when placed in their correct eternal perspective, for when laid alongside the truth of the gospel and the glory that shines forth from its eternal pages, they are not even worthy to be considered in the same breath as our reality in Christ and our eternal heavenly future.

• Christ died so that we might live and throughout his writings to the Church, Paul emphases the importance of being worthy of our calling, so that by His goodness and grace we are enabled to fulfil every desire for good..
• and as Paul continues in this second epistle to the Corinthian Church, his prayer is that all believers will stand fast in the evil day, and be counted worthy of the high and exalted position to which we have been called.
• And so his earnest prayer to the Father was that each one of us would be counted worthy of our calling as ministers of reconciliation.
• How vital that we have absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness so that we are enabled to walk worthy of His call.

• Let each of us conduct ourselves in a manner worthy of the good news of Christ, striving together for the faith and praising our Father in heaven: Knowing that there is laid us for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that Day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing.

• The writer of this psalm understood that God alone is worthy of such exultant worship.

• We are saved by grace through faith in Christ and once we are born again, we are to live our Christian life in a manner that is worthy of our position in Him.

• Paul also encouraged believers to: Walk worthy of their calling.
