• Loving Obedience God is seeking a man; a corporate body; a race; a peculiar people – a new creation. God is seeking a man after His own heart..

• Loving Words As she stood in anguish and pain, gazing at her dying son, a sword indeed pierced through her own aching soul, leaving her heart bloodied and bruised, and probably bereft of hope.  Despite the sins of all humanity that weighed so heavily upon the shoulders of our blessed Lord; despite the bitter pain, affliction and anguish He bore, for your transgressions and for mine, He saw His own dear mother, in her deep and gaping grief, and His own breaking heart of compassion reached out, in love, to her.

• How can He be a loving God if He hears not my anguished cry?

• The triune Godhead worked in loving, corporate union to create the glorious heaven, the angelic hosts, the magnificent earth, and all the wonders that are therein.

• John is writing to Christians and, like Paul, he is keenly aware that born again believers can be enticed away from a loving dependence upon the Father into a carnal reliance on the things of this world.

• Let us praise our covenant keeping God for all His loving-kindness and tender mercies to us and to all men, and let us live by faith in the Son of God Who loves us and gave Himself for us by taking upon Himself the judgement that we deserve so that His multi-coloured-grace can shine in our hearts throughout all eternity. 

• But God in His grace has designed this 7-year Tribulation Period to be the tool that will bring His errant nation, Israel, back into the loving arms of Jesus, the King of the Jews and God of Israel.

• Our good and loving God supplies all our needs, according to His riches in glory, through Christ Jesus our Saviour.

• His loving-kindness touches the life of every person and affects every nation and tribe and people and tongue.

• Loving others in the same way that Christ loved us, is the commandment that He gave to each one of us.

• We have such a loving, merciful, generous Lord, what a blessing to do everything in our lives wholeheartedly for Him.

• He explains that having been eternally saved by grace, we should glory in the trials and tribulations of life which God uses to develop in us perseverance, a godly character, and an unshakable and eternal hope in the loving promises of God.

• BUT GOD Who is loving, gracious, long-suffering, and faithful, pronounced His bitter rod of severe chastening due to their apostasy, which would also prove to be a blossoming staff of sweet comfort and peace, grace and mercy, love, and hope, and joy.

• In His loving-kindness, the Lord Jesus offers the light of His grace freely and abundantly to all who will turn to Him as their Son of righteousness.

• Solomon recognised that God had shown loving-kindness to his father, increased his kingdom, and fulfilled all the promises He made to the great king David.

• And may our love for each other flow out into the world so that unbelievers may see our love, be drawn to Jesus, and enter into a saving knowledge of our loving Saviour.

• We who have been saved by grace through faith in Christ should foster an inner attitude of grateful thanks, loving appreciation, joyous anticipation, and everlasting wonderment at all that He has done for us and His inexpressible love towards us: In that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

• Loving those that love us comes naturally, and although there may well be a selfish motive underlying human love, Jesus tells us that if you only love those that love you, there is no credit connected with this in God's divine administration.
• Loving, lending, and giving to others, too often has an ulterior motive.
• Only those that are saved by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus can display these divine characteristics of our holy and loving God and Father.

• The Lord is patient, long-suffering, and loving toward all He has made.

• The throne of God is underpinned by righteousness and His seat is woven together through His loving-kindness and tender-mercy.

• She nurtures her children with godly wisdom and teaches them the things of the Lord – training them from infancy, in the way that they should go.She cares for the health and safety of her family, serving them and others with a gentle and loving spirit.

• At the innermost core of man's innermost being we have a human spirit which was designed for 'spirit to Spirit' fellowship with our God (a mutual, loving communion with our Heavenly Father).

• We have no reason to be proud or smug about our God-given gift, nor jealous of the gift He has bestowed upon others, for each receives that which is right and best in God's sight, and each one is a blessing bestowed because of His loving-kindness and gracious-mercy.
• We should not become puffed up because of our spiritual gift or exploit it for our own purposes. Rather, we should rejoice that our names are written in heaven, praising Him that He has regarded us with His loving-kindness and tender mercies.

• He will never leave us and He will not forsake us, even when our faith wears thin or when we fall into sin or turn away from His loving truth.

• Behold: we have a Bridegroom (Who is currently sitting on the right hand of the Father) Who is coming soon to take us home to be with Himself, before He draws Israel as a nation back into His loving arms (as He promised) when He will set up His glorious kingdom on earth, for in that day the earth will be filled with the glory of God as the waters cover the sea. 

• He encourages us to build ourselves up in our most holy faith by praying in the Spirit and keeping ourselves within the loving protection of our Heavenly Father.

• No wonder David continues to praise the Father: Who crowns us with loving-kindness and great compassion. No crown has been fashioned that can compare with the loving-kindness and tender-mercies of our God, which are new every morning.

• Throughout the psalm, there is the sad recollection of the rebellious, disobedient, and ungrateful nation of Israel who forgot the goodness of God and disregarded His loving-kindness to their ancestors.

• Let us bless our heavenly King and glorious Saviour with all that is within us, and let us never forget ALL His benefits, for He has redeemed our life from the pit and crowned us with loving-kindness and compassion.
• He is compassionate, gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in loving-kindness.

• From the beginning in Genesis to the book of Revelation, we discover the plans and purposes of God (which were made in eternity past) unfolding before our eyes and we start to recognise the tender-mercies of our Saviour and the loving-kindness of our great Creator.

• The Lord is long-suffering and of great goodness and He knows that doubts and discouragement can be triggered by so many things that mar our lives, and so He often expands His words of comfort with a beautiful postscript, underlining and emphasising His great goodness and loving-kindness: Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.

• What a beautiful picture Isaiah portrays of Israel being regathered, restored and remarried, by their gracious God, Who is depicted as a faithful and loving husband.

• They implored Him to look down from heaven on His people with loving kindness and great goodness.

• Christ was made sin for the accumulated sin of the whole world in loving obedience to the Father, for He cried: Not My will but Thine be done, and through His shed blood, the sin of the world was forgiven.

• But there is a further reason that whatever we do should be done to the glory of God, and this verse reminds us that it is connected with a loving concern for others.

• When he wrote, He who withholds his rod hates his son, but he who loves him disciplines him diligently, Solomon's use of the word 'rod' was connected with the wise discipline of a loving parent towards a beloved child.

• In times of weakness and weariness, he ran for comfort into the loving arms of his faithful Shepherd and in times of spiritual thirst he cried, Lead me to the Rock that is higher than I, for David had proved God’s faithfulness towards His people and that His everlasting mercy is new every morning.

• May we be in the world (loving others, working with diligence, and glorifying God in our actions), while not being of the world (caught up in the things of the world).

• The vast expanses of the universe and the intricacy of every facet of His creation is a small reflection of God’s loving-kindness and faithfulness towards those that love Him.

• Fear and love are a contradiction in terms, for there is no fear in love; because perfect love casts out fear, A confident loving-trust in God cannot cohabit alongside destructive fear.

• Good governance in the home results where the man is responsible for loving and caring for his wife with the same self-sacrificial, godly love that Christ loves the Church – and gave Himself for her.Similarly, when the wife responds to her husband's leadership as the Bible teaches, and becomes his most responsive and devoted helper, then the relationship between husband and wife reflects God’s initial plan and purpose for the whole of humanity.Sadly, the blurring of the sexes and the demands of the supposedly 'liberated' women of the 21 century, is diametrically opposite from God's plan and purpose for the human race.

• Loving one another, being compassionate and kind, forgiving one another, and meeting together with our brothers and sisters in Christ are mentioned multiple times in Scripture, making this subject close to the Father-heart of God.

• Following his initial greeting, Paul plunges into praise and thanksgiving to God for the faithful works and loving deeds of the dear believers in Thessalonica, and for their continual anticipation of Christ's return for His people: We know that God loves you, dear brothers, he continues, and that He chose you to be His own people.

• It instructs us in holy living, patient endurance, godly loving and true worship.

• And yet he also wrote of God's long-suffering patience, His loving-kindness and His never-failing tender-mercy towards His errant people.

• He obviously longed for a time when righteousness and peace would reign on earth, and loving-kindness and truth would be established in the land.

• And so He called out, giving a loving response to their prayer without any delay: But immediately Jesus spoke to them saying, 'Take courage, it is I; do not be afraid.'Did you see that?

• The loving-kindness of the Lord never fails, and the grace and mercy of our Heavenly Father gives unlimited supply.
• Like David, we must trust in our Father and never doubt His loving-kindness which is new every morning.

• In Psalm 36 David bemoans men's wickedness before contrasting it with the loving-kindness and great goodness of God.
• The sad bitterness, revengeful thoughts, arrogant attitude, and angry unforgiveness of the ungodly, that so often floods the minds of sinful man, stands in stark contrast with the overflowing loving-kindness, compassionate-mercy, and unmerited gracious-pardon that streamed from the veins of the Lord Jesus, when He stretched out His arms of love to embrace whosoever will.
• God's mercy and loving-kindness, does indeed extend to the skies.
• His love plunges beyond the bottomless depths of the deepest oceans, and His loving-faithfulness, righteousness, and justice plummet to the very depths of our understanding and extend into the farthest reaches of our limited grasp.

• It is by the marvellous grace of our great and loving Kinsman-Redeemer that our sins are forever forgiven.

• Loving hospitality to strangers and a caring, Christian love for those close to us, should be the hallmark of all believers, for God may send holy angels, family members, strangers who come to our door, or people we interact with in the street, as ministering spirits to encourage, exhort, teach, correct, reproof, correct, or instruct in righteousness.
• May we make it our daily practice to show hospitality to strangers and exhibit genuine, loving-kindness to all we meet, for who knows maybe we also have entertained angels unaware - or maybe we will encounter one in the coming days. 

• They were not to be pugnacious or fond of sordid gain, but hospitable, loving what is good, sensible, just, devout, self-controlled, and holding fast to the gospel which is in accordance with sound teaching.

• His strength is matchless and His loving-kindness is unsurpassed..

• It is David who calls us to taste and see that the Lord is good, and we who have trusted in Christ as Saviour have truly tasted of the goodness of God in our own lives, and have seen in abundance the loving-kindness and forgiveness of our gracious Heavenly Father.

• so that through Christ our Comforter, we in turn can offer comfort to others, who also are in need of loving comfort and godly support.

• My God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus, is a verse we all love to quote as we rejoice in the abundant supply of our generous God Who is overflowing with gracious-mercy and bubbling over with loving-kindness.

• David knew that God’s loving-kindness was ever before his eyes, for he was a man of faith who trusted God's Word.
• Let us remember that God's loving faithfulness and sovereign power is the same yesterday, today, and forever, and let us seek to depend on Him and trust His promises, no matter what we have to face in this life.

• Fulfilling the law of Christ by loving others as Christ loved us, and owing nothing to anyone except to love them, can only be in done in the power of the indwelling Spirit.

• A deep and loving concern for the believers in Rome was reflected in Paul's opening message of thankful praise for each of them.
• But more than this he called upon the eternal God of the universe, Creator of heaven and earth, as witness to his own deep and loving concern for their spiritual wellbeing.
• Let us seek to develop the same deep and loving concern for all our brothers and sisters in Christ, as we, like Paul, lift them up in earnest prayer to our Father in heaven.

• He mentions that Aristarchus, one of Paul's fellow prisoners, and also John Mark, the cousin of Barnabas, sent loving wishes to them, together with Justus (a Jewish believer), Epaphras who was a brother from Colossae, Luke (the beloved physician), and of course, Demas.

• Loving the people that cross our path experientially, day by day, living a life of integrity and showing consideration towards others is the mark of a true believer who is walking in spirit, in truth, and in love.
• The Jew, who lied about his fellow Jew, would have broken the Mosaic Law, as it shows a lack of love towards his neighbour, and a farmer, who refused to leave stalks of wheat in his field for the poor to gather, would have broken the Law of gleaning - which similarly would break the Mosaic Law on LOVING their neighbour. 

• Loving provision had been extended to the woman who bore Him, and He carried the weight of the world on His heart as He became sin for mankind so that lost sinners could become the righteousness of God in Him.Every facet of the law had been fulfilled, every prophecy accomplished.
• He has committed to provide for all we need and to pour forth rivers of living water to sooth our thirsty souls as we become more like Him so that loving communion with Him may deepen and develop.

• But His mercies are new every morning, and His loving-kindness is demonstrated in multiple ways with every passing day, and so it is appropriate that we also sing new songs of praise and thanksgiving that rejoice in God, our Saviour.

• His third utterance from the Cross, is a one of gracious comfort and loving assurance to His mother, as well as bestowing an opportunity of sweet service to John, the disciple whom Jesus loved.
• But friend or foe alike, every one needed to be washed in His redeeming blood or pay the consequences of sin's deadly hold.Devoted obedience to the Father, gracious redemption of humanity, a glorious Bride for Himself, and the victorious reclamation of the kingdom was the goal of His divine calling, yet the loving-kindness He showed towards His mother, demonstrates the humanity of our Lord and the empathetic nature of God for His children, for when Jesus saw his mother and the disciple He loved standing nearby, He said to his mother, Dear woman, here is your son, and to the disciple he loved, Here is your mother.

• Earlier in the psalm, it appears that all David wanted was to be avenged for the wrong these wicked men had done to him, but as he listed their evil actions, it caused him to remember that he served a God Who is full of loving kindness and has promised to protect the needy and save them from those that would judge, accuse, and abuse them.

• And like Paul, the prophet Hosea also recognised the deeper truth that is packed within these simple words - that the fruit of righteousness produced in man is only from God, and that it is due to His loving-kindness and tender-mercy, that the trusting heart is able to partake of any righteousness.
• They were to sow with a view to righteousness and reap in accordance to mercy and loving-kindness.

• The instruction Christ was giving us in this request was about developing dependent faith in the child of God, and the prayer requests that we make to the Lord are designed to increase that faith and to enlarge in us a loving trust in our Heavenly Father and a trusting love for our gracious Lord.

• This verse paints an intimate picture of a loving God Who not only provides for and nurtures the people He created in His own image, but a personal God Who chooses to have fellowship with us.

• Loving one's neighbour in the same way that we love and care for ourselves was an instruction Christ gave to Israel many times during His earthly ministry, and both Paul and James quoted this instruction in their respective writings to Christians.
• The importance of loving our neighbour as ourselves is a principle that both the born-again believer and the unsaved man recognise as coming from the lips of Jesus, and is diametrically opposite to the reaction of the natural man in this fallen world.

• Let us take comfort that the Lord is our faithful and loving God Who will never fail us nor forsake us.

• Timothy had a deep and loving concern for the flock of God that reflected Paul's own deep concern for them... and so Timothy, who was Paul's son-in-the-faith, was dispatched to give encouragement and instruction to the Philippian Christians.

• They also expressed their loving goodwill towards Paul, knowing that He had been appointed by the Lord for the defence of the gospel of grace. These dear people knew that Paul had been entrusted with certain mysteries which had been hidden from earlier ages and generations, but had been made known to them, through Paul.
• They valued him and his ministry, and showed him their loving concern when he was put in prison.

• The Lord could easily have done all these great things without informing David - but in His grace and love, and according to His knowledge and wisdom, the Lord shared this information with the shepherd king of Israel who recognised the loving-kindness of his Creator in giving him this information.

• Paul had also taught that salvation was to glorify God, and yet despite his clear teaching on the gospel of grace, he was astonished to discover that the Galatian Christians had turned away from the gospel of God Who calls us all to Himself through the loving mercy of Christ.

• He acknowledged his own lack by acknowledging the supremacy and sufficiency of God: Who preserves His covenant and loving-kindness with those who love Him, and keep His commandments.

• It portrayed a broken and contrite heart of loving trust that was dedicated to the Lord by the person, or group of people, who gave the offering.

• Some, like Barnabas, did this with loving and charitable motives, while others were tempted to do it out of duty, or to make themselves appear to be generous and philanthropic in front of their fellow believers, whilst retaining a hidden heart of selfishness.

• Daniel believed His word because the Lord is faithful - and He is holy and righteousness and forgiving and gracious and merciful and loving and kind and true.

• May we live each day in the knowledge that our eternity is secure in the hands of our loving Lord.

• However, the addition of the word mercy in Paul's customary greeting and its inclusion, twice more, in this final epistle to Timothy, gives the impression that God's mercy on his young protégé, was close to the apostle's heart. Mercy has been defined by one scholar as, the self-moved, spontaneous loving-kindness of God, which causes Him to deal in compassion and tender affection, with the miserable, the hurting and the distressed.

• Let us, like David, put our entire trust in the Lord and open our ears morning by morning, to hear of His loving-kindness and to joyfully sing of His never-ending faithfulness.

• God in His foreknowledge, knew all that was to take place in the life of Joseph long before he was born, and God prepared the way for the brutish, bullying behaviour of his eleven brothers to be transformed into a precious picture of God's protection and loving-care for His people.

• What a wonderful example of God’s loving-kindness and gracious patience towards His people is discovered in the pages of Isaiah, and what graphic details are painted of Jesus, the suffering Servant, Who was despised and rejected of men.

• God is long-suffering and full of loving-kindness and mercy, and it is not His desire that any should perish, but that all men should repent and turn to Him - but when wickedness and evil is multiplied..
• God had clearly laid out through Moses the conditions of His covenant with his people Israel in their wilderness wanderings, after He brought them out of the land of Egypt... And although God remained faithful, long-suffering and full of loving-kindness towards His chosen people, they became unfaithful..

• Once Adam had called every kind of creature by name, the male with his mate, God constructed Eve, bone of Adam's bone and flesh of Adam's flesh, and they were knit together in a God-orchestrated, loving marriage union: Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife, and they shall be one flesh.

• But God in His long-suffering, loving-kindness, and great mercy, has extended the period of His gracious forgiveness to include you, and to include me, and to include all who will turn from their sins and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation, Who alone deserves our eternal praise and worship.

• The marriage of Hosea to his adulterous wife Gomer, not only paints a precious portrait of God's never-failing loving-kindness towards His people..

• He found the Lord was a God Who kept His promises, and Whose loving-kindness and great goodness never failed.

• Not only are we to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ for our salvation (our justification) but we are to keep on walking in the truth, and loving as Christ loved.

• His healing hand never fails to comfort and succour His blood-bought children - for He crowns us all with loving-kindness and the tenderest of mercies.
• May His loving-kindness and eternal mercies engender in our hearts awe and wonder for this timeless truth: That Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that ALL who believe on Him, will not perish but have everlasting life.

• May we, who have tasted of His loving kindness and great mercy, come to our rejected Lord, willing to be rejected by the world for His name's sake, for we are members of His Body and living stones who are being built into a spiritual Temple for His names sake.

• Only He was capable of loving God with a perfect love.

• He was driven to the point where he needed the stain on his soul to be washed away and cleansed: Be merciful to me, Elohim, according to Thy loving-kindness, according to the greatness of Thy compassion blot out my transgressions!

• He describes how God's loving purposes towards us reach back before the world was founded and stretch forward into an endless eternity.

• There were many laws that were connected with the planting, reaping, and harvesting of crops, which demonstrates the loving-kindness and great compassion the Lord has for those that are poor, alone, disabled, widowed, or simply a visitor from a foreign land.

• There is nothing we can do to repay the Lord for all His goodness and loving-kindness He has shown towards us, but we can live a life that is pleasing to Him by trusting His Word and seeking in all that we say and do to live a godly life, to walk in spirit and truth, submitted to the leading of the Holy Spirit, and letting the love of Christ shine through us in thought and deed, to the glory of the Father.

• He is not cold and distant, but ever present, ever loving, delighting in us when we come boldly and confidently into His presence.

• Not even those that are redeemed can separate themselves from His loving care, because Jesus Christ, Himself has secured our salvation forever, through His sacrifice on the cross.

• He looked back at all that God had done for his nation and praised God for His loving-kindness and long-suffering towards them.

• Solomon gives specific warning against the oily allurement of the prostitute or adulteress, and delineates the enormous price of infidelity, while commending the delights of monogamous matrimony and loving loyalty between a husband and his wife who pledge to love, honour, respect, and cherish one another, 'until death separates this God-ordained union'.

• The Lord in His grace has promised to feed His flock like a shepherd, and gather the little lambs into His loving arm.

• John had been one who had walked with Him by the way, listened to His teachings, seen the signs and miracles Jesus had performed, witnessed His tender-mercy and loving compassion, and had been empowered to carry out mighty signs and great wonders in His holy name.

• Our loving Lord Jesus Christ.

• Our loving heavenly Father has not only promised to lead us sometimes, or ofttimes, or even many times, or most times.
• However far we have wandered from His loving arms, whenever we are burdened by the cares we are carrying... or whenever the concerns of others weigh heavily on our heart - His grace is sufficient, for His strength is made perfect in our weakness.

• In this beautiful song of praise, Israel recognised that the goodness of God was not dependent on them but on His everlasting faithfulness - His eternal grace - His loving kindness, which is never-ending.

• Let us give thanks to our Father for His loving kindness and truth and believe, in spirit and truth, that GOD has magnified His WORD according to all His holy NAME.

• He has redeemed our life from death and corruption and has crowned us with His loving-kindness and tender mercy - which is new every morning.

• They were to teach God's covenant nation the importance of loving the Lord their God with all their heart and soul and mind and strength.

• Loving others as Christ loved us, is not something that we can do in our own fallen, fleshly strength.

• They were not loving their Lord with all their heart nor were they spiritually on fire for Him.

• This hope is not only reserved in heaven for these faithful, loving, Colossian believers, but for all who have heard and believed God's Word of truth; the gospel of the grace of God.

• It takes effort on the part of the parent to ensure that discipline is never imparted in anger or from a hasty reaction, but given as a consistent, loving, firm, but fair consequence to a child's actions or attitude.

• The eternal Son of the Father was made a little lower than the angels for a season, but having been born into such humble surroundings, lived a life of loving and obedient submission to the Father, and having purged our sins at Calvary's cruel Cross, the Lord Jesus became the firstborn from the dead at His Resurrection.

• Quoting from Proverbs 3, the writer of the Hebrews reminds us: My son, do not despise the Lord's discipline nor be weary of his correction, for whom the Lord keeps on loving He keeps on correcting; even as a father the son in whom he delights.

• The loving-kindness and long-suffering of the Lord is beautifully expressed in this little verse, but the final part of Isaiah's utterance is very disturbing: BUT they would not listen.

• The harvest is white but the workers are few, so let us build each other up in the Body of Christ, helping each other, loving one another and taking the gospel into the world.
• May our Christian life and service be a loving partnership with the other members of Christ's Body.

• Following the flood of bitter woes that tumbles from his pleading heart, and having cried out to the Lord for mercy and help, this man finally turns his thoughts to the living God to whom he is praying – the Creator of the world – the Maker of heaven and earth – the omniscient, omnipresent, omnipotent, all-wise, loving, righteous God of the whole universe.
• The prayer of a frightened man that started with a focus on self and his own mountainous problems, concluded with a prayer of assured faith and worship of his God, the Creator of the world – the Maker of heaven and earth – the omniscient, omnipresent, omnipotent, all-wise, loving, righteous God of the whole universe – Who knows each of us by name and cares enough to take the difficulties of life to cause us to turn our focus on Christ and not on ourselves.

• We are told that strength will be freely given, when we admit our weaknesses and inabilities, and we are charged to hand over all our cares and disappointments to the Lord, Who has promised to bear all our burdens because of His loving-kindness and tender mercy towards us.

• May we remember that the same Son of God, who warmed the hearts of His disciples and drew them into His loving arms for the forgiveness of sin and life everlasting, is the same Son of God Whose purifying presence hardens rebellious hearts in an oven of pride, jealousy, and unbelief. 

• Some consider that God was unjust to condemn the whole human race because of one man's sin - but in reality this is the most gracious and loving action imaginable, for as through the one man's disobedience (ADAM's sin) the manywere made sinners, even so through the obedience of the One Man (JESUS CHRST and His sacrifice for sin) many will be made righteous.

• Man had separated himself from God because of sin, but God reached down from the heaven of heavens in loving-kindness and gracious mercy to sinful, fallen man with the good news of Jesus Christ, for He is the centre and the circumference of God's good news.

• How different is the wisdom that comes from the Spirit of God, for it is pure and peace-loving, considerate, gentle, and submissive.
• In these increasingly violent days in which we live, let us take the words of James to heart, relying on the pure wisdom of God to lead and instruct us, enabling us to produce good fruit, being considerate, sincere, merciful, impartial, and peace-loving.

• Eliezer asked God to show loving-kindness to his master, by granting him success in his mission.
• His prayer was not only that his mission would be successful, and God's loving-kindness would be shown to his master, but also that God's perfect will would be carried out in the choice of a wife for Isaac.

• It is by means of loving another that they become stimulated to love in return.
• It is through an unchanging attitude of never-failing Christ-like love towards our brothers and sisters in Christ, irrespective of their attitude towards us, that love can be motivated within them (as they see Christ living in us and loving through us).

• Despite his imprisonment, Paul delights in the fellowship of the gospel and discovers an inner holy joy that comes from tenderly keeping the saints of God in his loving thoughts and holding them in his heart.

• However, Stephen's bold proclamation of the glorious gospel message, together with his gracious words of forgiveness and the releasing of his spirit into the loving arms of Christ Jesus our Lord, is an inspiration to men and women of all ages who may have to face severe persecution for the sake of Jesus Christ.

• The disobedient child needs to be chastened, and the child that is wounded and afraid needs the loving compassion that can only come from the heart of a father who truly cares for the child of his love.
• The loving compassion of every earthly father is completely eclipsed by the tender-hearted pity and grace that God shows to each of His own.

• Those that desire to be elders should be loving husbands to their wives and not be bitter against them.

• Salvation is an unmerited gift and salvation is an eternal gift from the Lord of the universe to fallen man, and it flows from the exceeding riches of His amazing grace, which is found in Jesus Christ, His dearly beloved Son.This gift of salvation streams to mankind from the Father-heart of a loving God – Who knew that the sinful race of fallen humanity faced a lost eternity without the great and costly gift of His only begotten Son.

• Circumcision may have been highly regarded by Jews in Old Testament times, but by elevating this physical sign above loving obedience to the Lord and by regarding it as the means to their salvation, it became no more than a mindless ritual.

• Surely we have a gracious and compassionate God Who is loving and merciful, patient and kind.

• The loving heart of the Eternal is most wonderfully kind.In the earthly realm, both faith and hope will last, for without faith it is impossible to please God and without hope, we could not endure, as seeing Him, Who is invisible.

• But being so rich in mercy, in His gracious loving-kindness, God loved us.

• What is more insignificant than a little wayside flower or the grass of the field, and yet Christ used a simple wild lily to demonstrate the gracious care and loving concern our heavenly Father has for each of His blood-bought children.
• And Christ used this rich and famous king to illustrate His loving care and gracious concern for the needs and necessities of all His children.
• How often we need to remember His loving provision and tender-mercies towards us ALL.What could seem less significant than a broken reed, a tiny sparrow, a widow’s mite, or a little wayside flower, but God takes and uses such insignificant, everyday, mundane things and then He contrasts them with the opulence of the wisest, wealthiest man that ever lived in order to demonstrate His unconditional love and superabundant grace towards us – reminding us that He knows us personally, loves us unconditionally, and cares for each of us individually.When the Lord Jesus takes such care to get His point across to us, perhaps we need to take note of what He is saying.

• Loving each other in the Body of Christ, is a theme that runs throughout the New Testament.

• And the world often portrays the Lord Jesus as a bit of a push-over with His teachings on being meek and mild-mannered, loving your enemies, blessing those who curse you, and praying for those that despitefully use you. 

• For it is only and ultimately through Jesus, the Son of God Who is God the Son, that we can find grace to help in time of need, for His grace is sufficient, His office is efficacious, and His loving-mercy is everlasting.

• So after praising Gaius for his loving hospitality, John called out Diotrephes because of his unchristian attitude and behaviour, which dishonoured the Lord and discredited the Gospel of Christ.

• Every attribute of the Father gives us one more precious glimpse of His faithfulness, His loving-kindness, His wisdom, and His purpose.

• As all the deeds and misdeeds of Israel are pronounced and publicised throughout this hymn of praise, the tender loving-kindness and great compassion of the Lord continues to be shed abroad.
• The wonderful certainty that the loving-kindness of our heavenly Lord is everlasting, and that His truth endures from one generation to another, should permeate every fibre of our being and thrill the heart of every believer with the fullness of His joy and a heart of gratitude.

• David, the psalmist of Israel who penned these beautiful words, faced tremendous hardship and deep troubles, but the testimony of his life was that He looked back and recounted the compassion and grace that the Lord expressed towards His people, and he looked forward to the coming prophesied Redeemer Who was to personify the over-abounding loving-kindness and tender mercies to all His people.
• Let us meditate on the gracious acts of God in our lives, His tenderness to us in times of specific hardship, and His loving-kindness to us, that is ever present.
• When difficulties arise in our lives and we are beset on every side with hardships and trials, we need to adopt the attitude of David in His many psalms of praise and thanksgiving – who reflected on God's past goodness, rejoiced in His future promises, and blessed the Lord for all the benefits that He bestows on us day by day: For the Lord is compassion and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in loving-kindness. 

• He fasted and prayed before the God of heaven, with the firm expectation that the Lord would hear and respond, for the Lord is a faithful God, Whose loving-kindness reaches from one generation to another.

• A thread of hope and praise weaves its way through these verses, as David makes a declaration of God's grace and loving-kindness to those that call on His name, and are humble in heart.
• In His loving-kindness and great mercy, our faithful God has given us His written word..

• This beautiful union between a man and his wife was born out of the heart of our loving God Who bestowed marriage as a sacred ordinance upon the creation He made and the people He loved.

• God is loving and merciful, He is abounding in tender-kindness, and desires to forgive sinners, but God is also holy and righteous.

• We are called to encourage those that are struggling, to pray for those that do not know Him, and to sow eternal seeds of hope, joy, and rejoicing in the hearts of all we meet so that together we will one day rejoice as we stand and worship our great King of kings and loving Lord of glory.
