• Son of God Imagine John’s dismay when He saw the sinless Son of God on Whom the Spirit was to rest coming to him to be baptised in water.  “I need to be baptised by You,” he protested.  But God always has His reasons and all that Christ did was under the guidance of the Spirit of God and in perfect harmony with the will of the Father – and for God’s glory. Jesus reassuring His humble herald said to the faithful John, “Permit it at this time; for in this way it is fitting for us to fulfil all righteousness,” and so He was baptised.

• It appears to revolve around one things of great import to the Lord : faithfulness. God does not require great things..

• Simple Faithfulness Faithfulness in the ordinary duties to which He calls us.
• He desires simple faithfulness, in the daily, commonplace tasks that He gives us to do.
• Faithfulness is one of the most blessed characteristics of our God.
• In Deuteronomy chapter 7 we read, Know therefore that the LORD thy God, He is God, the faithful God, Who keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love Him, for without His faithfulness, His eternal omniscience would be of little worth – and without His faithfulness, His infinite power would leave man adrift.

• God’s Faithfulness In any courtroom the testimony of witnesses that can verify the truth is crucial. The number of available witnesses and the quality of their evidence is often critical, and from the start of creation, there are many who witness to God’s faithfulness..  men and women who trusted God and proved Him to be faithful and true – men and women who grew into that great cloud of witnesses, of Hebrews 11.
• We have first-hand evidence of God’s gracious faithfulness towards His children.
• Faithful Stewards The Holy Spirit calls to the witness stand a multitude of mighty men and women so that the church, which is His body, may be encouraged by their example. He calls to the podium examples of good and faithful stewards, who trusted God. He calls on church-age believers to unreservedly follow this example of faith – faith in the Son of God Who loved us and gave Himself for us.
• Faith is the component that is traced through the lives of this great cloud of witnesses..  for faith in God is what pleases the Father – believing His Word and trusting His faithfulness is what is demanded of each of us.

• It seemed that the heaven was closed, that there was no way through, no answering voice, no sense of a listening ear; and with deep heart exercise about the matter you have been tempted to doubt the promise, question the faithfulness of God, raise questions as to the truth of His Word.

• Few Faithful Followers Paul led the way of the cross to all who are prepared to accept this challenge.

• High Priest And there is even MORE- Jesus had to be like His brothers in every way, so that He could become a merciful and faithful High Priest in service to God, to make propitiation for the sins of His people. What grace that God should send His only begotten Son to be our kinsman-redeemer. What grace that the eternal Son of God should set aside His deity to be born as man and clothe Himself in human flesh – so that we could be redeemed by His blood.

• You must believe that His promises are binding and true. You must rest in His Word for He Who said it is faithful and true. You must believe that it IS possible so to live moment by moment, resting in Him.

• Confident Assurance None of the saints in Hebrews received the promises, but they lived in the confident assurance that God is faithful: and these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise.

• Walk in the Light This is very descriptive of a Christian that maintains fellowship with the Lord: if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship… 1 John 1:7 and, if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.1 John 1:9.
• Let us follow the example of David and search our hearts to identify anything that has grieved our Lord, or quenched His Spirit in our lives, knowing that, if we confess our sins God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness – and He will return us into sweet fellowship with Himself, once again.

• Faithful Shepherds It seems these men, like David the shepherd king, were men after God’s own heart, as night after night and maybe year after year – these ones were unseen but faithful – unseen by multitudes, who daily flocked to the temple to seek YHWH’s forgiveness. Seen by the One who daily covered those sins – until the fullness of time came in.
• No doubt the shepherds' preference would have been to remain forever in this zenith.  But former spiritual bliss should make us more diligent and devoted in little things: You have been faithful over a little, I’ll set you over much; enter into the joy of your Lord.
• Challenge to Faith It is easy to worship and trust when immersed in the glories of His person and presence. It is more challenging, to remain faithful through the dark cloud of disappointment.
• Faithful Endurance But do not lose heart, and do not be disobedient to the heavenly vision” of former days…”but be thou faithful even to the point of death, and I will give thee a crown of life.” Rev.2:10.  Be faithful… not only to the point of physical death... but to the death of Self – death of the old sin-nature itself.
• All he desires of His own is faithfulness and obedience – obedience to your heavenly visitation – not only in the days of great blessings but in times of trial, testing, and tribulation.

• False Doctrines We have all read how the faithful servant is charged to feed God’s people. We have all noticed how often we are warned of false doctrines in these last days. We have witnessed God’s prophesied, unstoppable march towards false doctrine, yet in these days of increasing apostasy, few voices are pointing to Jesus.
• Faithful Servant You be faithful to hear to His word and listen to His voice and obey His command. You be faithful in your own way to feed on His Word so you can feed His sheep.
• Be a faithful servant and preach the word – in season and out of season.

• No…. God’s faithfulness to you has nothing to do with you.

• Faithful Servant A faithful servant will act to exhort and edify his fellow believers in love. A careless steward will act to correct or criticise and smite his fellow-servants, but gracious exhortation can only be done in the power of the Holy Spirit.

• Do not fall short of the promised rest – be faithful to the end.
• Be careful not to be slothful, or stand still or fall away – be thou faithful.
• Remember, this Christian life all depends on faith and faithfulness.

• If we have committed ourselves to God thoroughly and really meant with the Lord that we want His full will and we do not want our own, and by His grace we will go the way that He leads and shows, whatever it costs, if we have done that and then situations have arisen which look terribly complicated and seem to contradict the faithfulness of God, what am I to conclude?

• the truth of His Word. Faith is the evidence of things not seen – that is trusting the Word of our faithful God.

• Yes – because this is in God’s eternal word, which is unchanging, faithful, and true.

• If forgiveness is dependent on confession, I need to trust 1 John 1:9 for if we (who are saved) confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

• When the enemy of right and wrong has thrown down the gauntlet and is trampling ruthlessly upon that which affects the honor of our Lord, and when he seems about to bring ruin upon that which our Father has purposed, can we refrain from rushing in to strive with him, and wait for Him in quietness and confidence,' with a true sense both of our weakness and of His faithfulness and strength?

• It is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful. (1 Corinthians 4:2)
• I believe that the greatest virtue in the eyes of God is faithfulness; it embraces everything.

• Gateway to Life Recently my own father exhaled his last gasp of air as death claimed its latest ‘victim.’ As I stood and looked at the empty shell that my father cast off…  I was truly able to claim: Oh death where is your sting and victory…1 Corinthians 15:55  for to be absent from the body – is to be present with the Lord. 2 Corinthians 5:6 This truth is faithful and glorious to all who trust in His name.

• “Fear Not – God is faithful, Who will not suffer you to be tempted above what you are able to bear – but will make a way of escape, so that you will be able to bear it.

• If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1John 1:7;8
• The grace, faithfulness and justice of God forgave all your sin at the cross.
• The grace, faithfulness and justice of God cleanses us from all unrighteousness.

• No one Christian has a right to stop on his way for another; he must go forward himself in individual faithfulness.

• Daily Cleansing Day by day we need to confess the sins we commit – moment by moment, for if we confess our sins to Him, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from every wrong. 1John 1:9  But remember – once forgiven, that sin is remembered no more. Once forgiven – your sins are as far away as the east is from the west.
• I spent time identifying and praying forgiveness over everything: Forgiveness over every person; cleansing over every situation, for I had not been faithful in applying 1 John 1:9 – For if we believers confess our sins to Him, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from every wrong.

• In this life, we are to lay hold of Christ, the Anchor of our soul, if we are to be rewarded as a good and faithful servants. If we lay hold on anything else in this life we will find ourselves adrift.
• The hope set before us is to gain a kingly inheritance – the hope of reward that is given to that good and faithful servant.

• Hebrews 10:22.  And he encourages is to “hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering…for He who promised is faithful.” Heb.10:23. John gives us such wonderful reassurance when he says: we know we’re of the truth and shall assure our hearts before Him.  1John.3:19

• God’s word has never failed in the past, God’s word has never failed in the present and God’s word will never fail in the future, for He is faithful and true.
• We are then commanded to be His soldiers and to enter into spiritual war. I may be in the early flush of youth or I may be advancing in years; I may be invalided on a couch of sickness or I may be in the heyday of health; I may be imprisoned in a lonely cell or free to roam the wide continents – but He has a plan for each of us, and He plants or transplants us as He sees fit.  And He calls each of us to be faithful in the place where He has planted us.
• Faithful Few What is so strange is that many are called and yet so few chosen?  Well, it seems that His call requires trust, and it requires obedience.
• Cloud of Witnesses There is an extensive register of faithful men and women who are listed in the book of Hebrews, chapter 11, and each one obtained a good report from God because of their faith – even though that had not yet received His promised reward.
• But like the chosen in this generation, this faithful cloud of witnesses will enter also the city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
• Let us praise and thank our faithful God and join our faith with theirs as we pray, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, in my life and in yours.

• Is there trouble anywhere?We should never be discouraged, take it to the Lord in prayer.Can we find a friend so faithful who will all our sorrows share?Jesus knows our every weakness; take it to the Lord in prayer.

• Let it be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfil all righteousness,” were Christ’s comforting words to His faithful herald – as together they entered the Jordan.

• In Revelation 2 we read: be enduringly faithful to the very point of death.

• Faithful God All he asks of us is to have faith in Him and to trust our all-wise God. All we have to do is to trust in His eternal plans and purposes. All we have to do is to believe in His immutable wisdom: faithful is he that called you, who also will do it.
• And even if we believe not, yet He abides faithful – He cannot deny Himself.

• Our security and assurance of our salvation rests entirely on the grace of our faithful God.

• – because this is the only way to live a faithful, overcoming Christian life.

• Faithful Builder But God never forgot His promise to Israel, His adoptive firstborn son: “and so all Israel shall be saved”.
• Israel’s Remnant They would be ones that, “hopefully”, trusted in His word. They would be men and women that, “patiently”, waited for His time. They would be servants of the Lord that, “trustingly”, resting in His love. And for every lone Elijah, God reserves “7000” more who remained faithful.
• Faithful Servants Let us like them be ones that 'hopefully trust' in His WORD.

• He alone is Eternally Faithful and Just and Holy and Gracious and Good and True – He alone is forever Love.

• For God is faithful, and He is true – for He is a proven, covenant-keeping God.

• Example for our Learning So why did God not completely destroy this enemy of His people? Why, centuries later, do we discover this same foe, continuing its savage assaults? Well, one reason is that God uses Israel as an example for our learning, Scripture’s historical record lets us discover the truth that our God is faithful.

• Face of Christ The Law was indeed given to Israel through Moses, but the unfailing love of God and His everlasting faithfulness is seen reflected in the face of the Lord Jesus Christ. The beauty of grace and truth is contrasted with the stark reality of the Mosaic Law, for the Law was given by Moses – but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
• Love of God What manner of love the Father has bestowed on us that He should shower on sinful man the grace and favour that we do not deserve and cannot earn- but in His perfect life the Incarnate Word of God, in His sinless body on the tree, met all the righteous requirements of the Law – to free us from condemnation so that we might have LIFE. The law indeed was given to Israel through Moses, but the unfailing love of God and His everlasting and faithfulness - is only seen in the face of the Lord Jesus Christ.  

• He, whom the Lord cannot trust with the faithful care of his own vineyard, will not be trusted with the tending of God's Vineyard of living, immortal souls.

• The Lord is speaking to His faithful people who are feeling that they are under the plow; furrows are being cut deep into their souls; they are being turned up and turned over, laid bare, exposed, broken, harrowed.
• The Father says, even to faithful people, This is necessary, we are looking ahead to a harvest, to real values; this is an essential aspect of the work.

• Yes, Job is a man who is faithful to the point of death.

• Stand in the Gap If we, like Job are to be counted among the faithful intercessors of the Lord..

• Believers’ Needs Today many faithful servants feel condemned, knowing they need more of Him.

• but God also permits evil in the life of saints as well.  But ALL good that comes to man comes from a good and faithful God.
• Fullness of God You can read about the fullness of our faithful God in Ephesians 3:19… and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.  You can read about the fullness of our faithful Christ in Ephesians 4:13 …until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ.  You can read about the fullness of the Godhead in Coossiansl 2:9… For in him dwells all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

• – 'Trust in my love'. 'Feed my sheep'. 'Repent and return to your first love'. 'Be thou faithful'. 'Abide In Me…' Oh yes – He waits for us to come to Him.

• Whatever you think or however it seems to the contrary, He is faithful.

• I know He can deliver me, but if He does not see fit to do so, if it does not fall in with His unsearchable counsels, and harmonize with His wise and faithful purpose concerning me so to do, I know it is only to lead me into a deeper and richer realization of His most precious sympathy.' -C.H.M.

• Consequences of Sin His faithfulness guarantees forgiveness as well as a return to fellowship.
• Proverbs 3:20. Rather let us rejoice in humble but grateful thanks, for His faithfulness, His righteousness, and His love.

• But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you (2 Thess. 3:3).

• After months, even years of deep darkness and soul struggle to realise more life, more holiness, more power in his soul, I finally come in utter self-despair to “rest upon the Faithful One.” The sweetest part, (if one may say of one part being sweeter than another) the sweetest part is the rest which full identification with Christ brings.

• Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have God’s Son does not have life. 1 John 5:11-12 Faithful is the saying - For if we died with Him, we shall also live with Him. 2 Timothy 2:11

• God is Faithful And at this critical time, John was appointed to present their king to Israel.
• But God in His omniscience knew the hypocrisy of Israel’s religious leaders – He knew the nation would reject their Messiah and crucify their King – but God is faithful  –  God will never reject His people forever – His plan for the kingdom still stands….

• His Joy And joy is the result of faithful, trusting acceptance of His will. Though it may not be understood..

• Faithful Servants God is calling out of the gentiles a people for His name..
• people who will be awarded gold, silver, and precious stones – disciples who will one day hear Him: say well done good and faithful servant?

• Should we not, for the glory of God – pray that all are good and faithful servants?

• We are going to come face to face with God literally, in eternity, and then the question is going to arise, 'Has God at any point failed us?' Shall we be able, in any detail, to say, 'Lord, You failed me, You were not true to Your word?' Such a position is unthinkable, that ever any being should be able to lay a charge like that at God’s door, to have any question as to God’s truth, reality, faithfulness.
• School of Christ The Holy Spirit has been sent as the Spirit of truth to guide us into all truth, so that there shall be no shadow whatever between God and ourselves as to His absolute faithfulness, His truth to Himself, and to all His Word.

• Therefore… The book of Hebrews spends eleven chapters warning of the need of faith in Christ. For over ten chapters we are given a series of warnings and a succession of truths. The next chapter outlines a cloud of faithful witnesses that are examples for us to heed..
• Important Instructions This first verse of ch. 12 is the catalyst for all who would be faithful servants of God.

• faithful and diligent to keep on and on praying for all God’s people and His many ministers, for prayer is a most powerful weapon to demolish spiritual strongholds.
• Spiritual Maturity God also desires that we are faithful and diligent in our prayer-life for He knows that prayer is a beautiful channel of heavenly grace and spiritual maturity that is poured out in abundance upon those that sit at His feet, listen to His voice and trust in His word.

• First Love Israel were commanded to HEAR their faithful God and to LOVE Him. Likewise, the Church are to LISTEN to our Lord and LOVE Him with our whole being.
• Faithful God The God of Israel was utterly faithful – and kept covenant with His people, and our God of faithfulness and truth is the same yesterday, today and forever. Never let us be those that forget that our God is truly faithful.
• He can be trusted. Great is God’s faithfulness, and great is Christ’s love for His Church.
• Faithful Servants Remember to listen to the word of the Lord and trust Him in all things To trust in His faithfulness and let God fight our battles.
• and in everything let us commend ourselves as faithful servants of God.

• Great is Your faithfulness.Lamentations 3:23
• God is faithful, by Whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.1 Corinthians 1:9
• Witness of the Word God’s faithful love and tender forbearance is seen throughout scripture, His Word and promises never once failed throughout the past 6000 years. The Word of God is witness to that fact, and untold saints who passed this way before can vouchsafe to this truth. Because of the past faithfulness of His Word, future prophecy is assured. God is not man, that He should lie, or a son of man, that He should change His mind. Has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken, and will He not fulfil it?
• Consider Him Who is faithful and true.
• He is Faithful If we fail in our faith or falter in our confidence, He remains faithful. If we betray His trust or fluctuate in our feelings, He abides constant. If our love dims or if we vacillate in our trust, He stays the same.. He cannot deny Himself.
• In Isaiah 40 we read these words: The grass withers, the flower fades, heaven and earth will pass away, but the word of our God will stand forever. Isaiah 40:8 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.

• Retreat into the stronghold of His faithfulness, for underneath are His everlasting arms. His pledge is to support and uphold those that are His, even though He permits hardships and frustrations – sometimes to the point of death.

• We are part of God’s throne ministry of prayer and we are exhorted to:- be diligent; be watchful; be thankful; be faithful; be obedient, and trust the Lord.
• They all responded in prayer, praise, and trusting faith, knowing God is faithful.

• No wonder at the announcement little Mary proclaimed:- 'My soul magnifies the Lord.' Mary the virgin was indeed given the honour of all honour among all women just as the bride of the Lord is given similar honour among the ranks of the faithful.

• Verse 9 Well in verse 9 we are given the one condition to cleansing:- Confess your sins: for if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9

• But the fruit of the Spirit is :-LOVE:- joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-controlGalatians 5:22

• Worldlywiseman.. loitering in the arena of sinners and finally sitting down happily in their company, and how we recognise this tendency in worldly Lot compared with faithful Abraham.

• But like all the faithful who’ve gone before we have not yet received the promise – but it is a fact of the present with a future realisation.

• In Him welive, in Him we move, and in Him we have our being. And so I am fully persuaded that He Who began a good work in me, and He Who began a good work in you…  will be faithful to complete it until the day of His appearing.

• Oh, he saw enough to take the heart out of any man at the end of such a life, but he did not say: or me to live is to see my life work standing as a monument, intact; to have all my old friends faithful and around me; to know that my message has had universal acceptance and appreciation!No!

• Faithful Few The remnant who are willing to take up the cross daily, and cry, Thy will not mine...be done. The minority of believers who will deny self and hold fast to the faith.

• He knew that God was faithful even when His own people strayed far from Him: O LORD God of heaven, he prayed, Who faithfully keeps covenant and mercy for them that love Him and HEAR His commandments: Nehemiah.1:5 Nehemiah loved and trusted the Lord – and cried out to Him for his people and city.
• A Praying Man Israel was God’s nation, who was to listen to the word of the Lord and obey His voice. They were also commanded to love their faithful God with all their mind and strength.
• He confessed the failure of His people – but reminded God of His faithfulness.

• Servant of God Nehemiah began his prayer declaring the faithfulness of his covenant-keeping God. He acknowledged God’s greatness, and His willingness to hear His peoples’ cry. Nehemiah prayed day and night in earnest trust that God would listen and hear him – and his intense intercession was for his own nation, the people of Israel.
• Confession of Sin Nehemiah pleaded the cause of Israel, based on God’s everlasting faithfulness.
• Let us pray for the Church - the body of Christ, based on God’s everlasting faithfulness.
• Let our intercessions be rooted to trust in God, as our covenant-keeping, faithful God.

• Elijah verily believed that he was the only one left in faithfulness to God, and he repeated his plaint several times, I only am left.
• He had lost sight of the possibility that the prophets reported by Obadiah to have been hidden might still be in that underground faithfulness, or some of them at least.

• Balm of Gilead God’s very hedge of protection around a faithful man of God often has sharp thorns; the sharpest of thorns -  thorns which rip and tear at the heart..  thorns that take him to the edge of helplessness. But the balm of Gilead is waiting to be applied after life’s lengthy season of sorrow..

• Therefore, He had to be like His brothers in every way, so that He could become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people.Hebrews 2:17

• Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have God’s Son does not have life. 1 John 5:11-12  Faithful is the saying: For if we died with Him, we shall also live with Him. 2 Timothy 2:11

• Cloud of Witnesses The writer to the Hebrews lists a great cloud of faithful witnesses, who trusted God.
• If we want to be like that great cloud of faithful witnesses who trusted God, let us lay aside every weight – let us lay aside that sin of unbelief which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with patient endurance the race that is set before us… Looking to Jesus.

• God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto fellowship of His Son Jesus Christ our Lord' (1 Cor. 1:9).

• Pure Fellowship We are to keep ourselves in fellowship with the Father and be effective in His army. We are to keep a short leash on our transgressions and sins as laid out in 1 John 1:9: If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
• How vital to confess all areas where we fail in thought word deed and motive.  How wise to confess our sins to our faithful and just God.

• And when you have got down as far as you can go, the flesh elements and the self elements have been dealt with, and you grimly hold on to the Lord in this matter of victory then it comes out, you have tested it right to the very bottom of your being that thing has become you, and then you can go to others in their grim conflict and their darkness, and say, I know I know this thing, and I know God is faithful, I know the victory.

• Saints down through the ages have been promised this blessing of perfect peace and His faithfulness to perform stands fast today as it did in days long gone. He gives His beloved His peace and His rest and He will give you rest and peace.
• But the Word of God tells us that God Himself is faithful, Who will not allow you to be tempted or tried or tested beyond what you are able to bear, but with the temptation will also make a way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

• Our Father is faithful and wise as well as a gracious and patient Teacher.

• He who calls you is faithful; He will surely do it. (1 Thessalonians 5:24 ESV)

• Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful. (Hebrews 10:23 NIV)
• We, beloved, shall come there and may come there more than once in the course of our life; we shall come to the place where we realise we are going right out into outer darkness and despair and paralysis, to be ruled completely out of any effectiveness, fruitfulness, or value whatever, unless we pull ourselves together and say to ourselves, The whole thing is an inexplicable, bewildering confusion, a tangle from our standpoint or the standpoint of man; but God is, God is faithful.

• OMAN – Isaiah exalts and praises the Lord because He is faithful and TRUE.. (oman) and just as God was faithful and true for Abraham, He is faithful and true to all His children and we can trust Him and put our faith in His word.

• We thank Him that He is utterly faithful to keep His promises to us, for if you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it. John 14:14
• Prayer of Fatih We need to ask Him to remove any doubt that we may have – for He is faithful to answer prayer: truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him. I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” Mark 11:23

• Victory Strategies Every soldier knows the foundational truths of victory. Victory lies in faithfulness to your leader. Triumph rests in knowing your enemy. Success is secured in obedience to the battle plan.

• Coming Messiah Threading through the Old Testament are prophecies and promises of the coming Messiah Who was chosen of God to be His special representative and anointed king. Many references and titles, names and offices describe this long-awaited Saviour …  He was Seed of the Woman; Lion of Judah – Immanuel; Messiah; Mediator and Man. He was the chief Shepherd and faithful Witness and the root and the stem of David.

• The things that thou hast heard from me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also (2 Tim. 2:2).

• a heart kept by Him, from the power of corruption that flows all around us, for we read in 2 Thessalonians 3:3, the Lord is faithful, who shall establish you, and keep you from evil.

• Faithful God No wonder the sweet Psalmist of Israel wrote of our great God: the LORD is compassionate and gracious, patient, and abundantly rich in gracious love.
• He has not dealt with us as our sins deserve, or repaid us according to our offences, for as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His faithful love toward those who fear Him. Psalm 103

• But there is precious grace in that delight which is not dependent upon His favors, nor upon our enjoyment of them; but which is wholly dependent and has its source in the Father's explicit Word, and His eternal faithfulness. -C.H.M.
• When circumstances seem impossible, when all signs of grace in you seem at their lowest ebb, when temptation is fiercest, when love and joy and hope seem well nigh extinguished in your heart, then rest, without feeling and without emotion, in the Father's faithfulness; abide in the fact that He loves you infinitely, and even now is working in you faithfully; and honor Him, and put the enemy to flight by taking to yourself the words of Job: Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him.' I have prayed for thee' (says the One who ever lives to make intercession for us) that thy faith fail not.' -D.T.

• Christ’s genealogy listed in Luke links the Lord Jesus through Boaz, the kinsman-redeemer of Ruth, who was to become the grandmother of king David – while in Acts we read that Christ, Who was raised from the dead was anointed to receive the faithful covenant blessing made to David. Luke tells us that Christ is to one day sit on the throne of David, while in Acts we read that He was promised the sure mercies of David.

• Many of the Pharisees, such as the teacher Gamaliel, had a group of faithful disciples.

• You only have one chance to be faithful to be obedient – and that time is now.
• Have you been a good and faithful servant?

• Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to Him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator (1 Pet. 4:19).

• Precious Promises The word of God is filled with examples of God’s faithfulness to His people. The Scriptures are packed with many precious promises of God to His children. The Bible is the way that God speaks to His people today – and He is faithful.

• Sins are ungodly attitudes that mar our witness. When believers sin we should immediately confess that particular sin to the Father – and God is faithful and just to forgive our sins and cleanse us from unrighteousness. In 1 John 1:7 we read that the blood of Jesus Christ, His Son, cleanses us from all sin. Every sin we carry out is a violation against God – and it needs to be confessed.

• Since He is both my God and my Father, and since all of the hardships He takes me through are specifically designed to conform me to the image of the Lord Jesus, how can I help but trust Him and rejoice in His faithfulness?
• It is when nature's horizon is overcast with the blackest clouds, that faith basks in the sunshine of the divine favor and faithfulness. -C.H.M.

• Make no excuse for your failings and sin, but confess: for if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9

• Faithfulness of God God knows who are His. God knows those that will remain faithful to the end. Remember Jacob, that scheming, self-sufficient, supplanter-Jacob. He became Israel, a prince with God.
• – became Jacob I have love, with His everlasting love. Jacob (the deceiver) He loved. Samson (the womaniser) He loved. David (the adulterous murderer) He loved. Daniel (the faithful servant) He loved and Job (the prideful questioner) He loved.

• Some of the Lord's most faithful servants are still only occupied with the letter of the Word, the contents of books, topics, themes, subjects, outlines, analyses, etc., and in the deepest sense are not in revelation. (This is not meant as a criticism).

• A Study:- Man’s Nature and Destiny Spiritual Maturity The need for maturity in the body of Christ is the focus of most of Paul’s messages. It is the mature Christian who is an overcomer; a faithful steward – a wise virgin.

• Abound in all Diligence How do we abound in all DILIGENCE? Well, we remain faithful in the place that God has placed us.
• We keep on keeping on – being faithful to the point of death.

• This faithful soul had no gift of the indwelling Holy Spirit as his down-payment.

• For remaining faithful and standing firm now – means rewards to come.
• Be thou faithful to the point of death and I will give you a Crown of life.

• What does God desire of each one of us?  Loyalty - Faithfulness.
• Faithfulness to God and faithfulness to His children.
• The Lord is Faithful and True and desires no less from His children.
• Not faithfulness for a time or for a season but steadfastness right to the finish line.
• Not loyalty when the going is good or because it suits for the time being, but faithful, devoted, steadfast loyalty, right up to the very moment of death.

• There is perplexity, there is apparent contradiction, there is conflict; the forms of experience may vary, but it comes to all of us in some way or another still He abideth faithful.

• faithful men and women of prayer to intercede on behalf of others..
• Inner Purification Should we not ache for the body’s restoration, spiritual purity, and faithfulness, when we see so many wandering from the Lord Who loves them – when we see ourselves so often out of fellowship or living complacently.

• He would have us rejoice in His love and His never-failing faithfulness – even though the world appears to collapse around us.

• But when we do fall into sin John comes to the rescue: for if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9.

• Oh, today we fear that the appeal to become Christians is so often in terms of having an easy or a good time; being happy and enjoying yourself; well, thank God for ALL divine joy, but this is true to the House, to the City, that the first thing the Lord is working toward and seeking to work into His people is that substantial, steadfast, enduring faithfulness that is according to His own nature.

• Scripture tells us how to live – how to die – how to overcome – how to be faithful – how to be faithful.
• Spiritual Progress The believer is exhorted to lay aside all that makes us anxious or bothered, for Scripture indicates that the faithful servant must lay aside every weight. Cast all your weights – all your burdens upon Me.

• With my mouth will I make known Your faithfulness to all generations.
• Psalm.89:1 Moment by moment I see new mercies… Great is His faithfulness.

• Faithful God But is it possible to trust Him in ALL things to provide ALL things? Well, I wonder if you have been placed in a position where you entrusted your three young children to a steward on a four-hour sea journey with a promise to them, that on their return they would be taken to their new home and yet in your trembling heart you knew only too well that no such place existed? I have. And as I turned to face the stark reality that I had five days to achieve this… less than a week to fulfil this enormous task. I searched for vacancies in basements and attics.

• but He has stipulated that His servants must be faithful and obedient.
• But the keynote here is faithful servants – obedient sons.
• Only faithful servants willingly submit to the leading and guiding of His Spirit.
• And scripture shows that His obedient sons are but a very small remnant. His Word indicates that His faithful servants are not a mighty congregation.
• Faithful Flock God has always worked through the small remnant..
• a little faithful flock. Many are called to be sons of obedience but few choose to answer the call. Many Christians prefer a legalistic life to a life of spiritual faithfulness and grace. Many believers prefer a carnal life to a life of surrendered obedience and faith.

• Romans 6:16  All these are empowered by one and the same Spirit, Who apportions to each one individually as He wills. To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. 2 Corinthians 12:11;7  Moreover, it is required of stewards that they be found faithful. 1 Corinthians 4:2
• Faithful Followers As Believers, we are required to be the Lord’s faithful followers while in the world.
• Be faithful to discover, carry out and fulfil the tasks... that He has appointed to you.
• Just as I must be faithful to discover and to carry out to completion the responsibilities and tasks that He has entrusted to me.
• But each must be faithful to his allotted post..
• Are you faithful in administering and completing the task He set for you – am I?
• but it is He that has placed us in our appointment – and we must remain faithful to the end.
• The path may be difficult but if we know that we are in the place of His choosing, He will bestow on us a reassurance that He Who started the good work in us, will be faithful to complete it.
• Faithful Servant.
• This life is not easy for the faithful servant..
• He did it to show us HOW to live the life of a faithful servant – in this world system.
• What is this joy He waits to share with His faithful followers – His overcomers?
• Revelation 3:21 So be faithful in the big or the little task He has called you to do here and now – and you will hear Him say, well done good and faithful servant.” Matthew 5:23

• This faithful company chose to trust God and like them, we also are to live by faith.

• Be thou faithful to the very end.  But the choice is yours and yours alone.  If you are prepared to change your mind (which is the correct meaning of REPENT)—then God will change your heart.

• It is not a pleasant note, I know, but in all faithfulness it must be said.

• God will not cut across our path, or give us particular light at any fork in the road if we have not been diligent in this quest, or faithful to the light given.

• The next thing I am going to say may be difficult to accept, just as it is difficult to say, and yet faithfulness demands that things like this should be said.

• The songs of Zacharias and Mary are touching pictures of God’s faithfulness down through the centuries – to fulfil all that He promised to His people Israel. There are many glimpses of the love of God, which is seen to extend beyond the boundaries of Israel, and there are even some hidden hints of the future church of Christ for the everlasting King, Who is to sit on David’s throne is the Prince of Peace, Whose kingdom will last forever, and Whose glory will cover the earth.

• The eyes of the LORD are on those who fear Him. He sees and hears all that depend on His faithful love.Psalm 33:18
• The fear of the Lord and reverence of His name is the beginning of wisdom, and trusting His love and believing His Word is what delights His heart – and so He sees and He hears all those that depend on His faithful love.

• Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his Lord hath made ruler over His household, to give them meat in due season?”Matthew 24:45
• A Faithful Servant What a lovely picture of the judicious and faithful servant of the Lord.
• A Blessed Servant How blessed is this faithful, trustworthy, dedicated servant of the Lord.
• He is the faithful servant – the trustworthy servant that feeds the household of God.
• Burden of Responsibility May we each carry out our burden of responsibility as wise and faithful servants.

• The Lord's Word is: ...it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful, not eloquent, intellectual, or with a strong personality, none of those things.
• No! ...it is required in stewards, that a man be found FAITHFUL.

• Such a position is unthinkable, that ever any being should be able to lay a charge like that at God's door, to have any question as to God's truth, reality, and faithfulness.
• The Holy Spirit has been sent as the Spirit of truth to guide us into all the truth, so that there shall be no shadow whatever between God and ourselves as to His absolute faithfulness, His truth to Himself, and to all His word.

• God’s Servant And Moses, the faithful servant of God, finished His life in the desert.
• But that was not the end of the story, for Moses was once again to see the glory of God..and on the Transfiguration’s Mount, this faithful servant was justly rewarded.

• He is faithful and His love endures forever.“

• If the nation was faithful to their calling – God would bless them mightily.
• Kingdom Gospel But this is the kicker….. Irrespective of their being faithful or not they would one day witness to the world. Jesus Himself told us in Matthew 24 that the gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the world as a testimony to all nations – and then the end will come.
• Faithful Remnant But as a nation, Israel rebelled against their God and did evil in the sight of the Lord. Prophet after prophet was sent to Israel to call the nation to repent of their sins, but they would not repent of their evil deeds and were taken captive into Babylon.
• Yet silently the Seed of the woman continued to travel through a faithful remnant.
• but a day is coming when the Church will be raptured – and in that day the gospel of the kingdom of God will be taught to all nations… by a faithful remnant of Jews.

• To hope in Him is to trust Him to finish the good work that He has begun – to expect, with full assurance, that He Who promised is faithful and true.

• Faithful and True His titles are as numerous as the stars and His designations are eternally glorious. His attributes are without measure and His unchanging character is faithful and true. His name is wonderful; He is altogether lovely; He is my beloved, and He is our saviour – and to know Jesus as saviour is the only thing worth knowing in time and into eternity.

• This is the God we adore,Our Faithful, unchangeable Friend,Whose love is as great as His power,And neither know measure nor end.

• that we may bear witness of Jesus Christ - Christ, the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead.

• It may be that you do not feel the full weight of that; but if ever you come, as perhaps some of you have come, to a time, such as many of the most faithful and devoted and greatly-used servants of God have known, when the dark forces spread themselves over, gather around in their hordes, and seek to come between you and your Lord and then begin their whisperings The Lord has given you up, handed you over, or something to that effect when you come to that place, then I trust you will know that this word is no light word, no unimportant word: for the last depths of Calvary were fathomed in the moment when our Lord cried that bitter cry and gained the answer and came out victorious and into rest.

• It is a time matter, but God is very faithful He is very faithful; He does not let things pass.
• Do we want Him to be faithful?
• Well, it is not comfortable to say, Yes, but it is good that He should be faithful with every inconsistency, every contradiction, every falsehood, in the inward parts.

• Message of Grace Had Peter been the most loyal and faithful?  Had he done a special 'something' to deserve such a mark of distinction?  Oh no!

• We may not know specific answers to so many unanswerable questions; we may not know the peculiar reasons for so many imponderable issues, but my heart always flies back to those wise words of faithful Abraham.

• His character does not change and His compassion and mercy lasts from one generation to another for He is the same yesterday, today and forever. We can join with Jeremiah who wrote: because of God’s faithful love we do not perish, for His mercies never end.
• They are new every morning; great is His faithfulness!

• Choosing the sanctifying process means trusting Him when you don’t understand, for it is the faithful servant that enters willingly into the sanctification process.

• What of those that are His own servants – His faithful or unfaithful servants?

• If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.1 John 1:9
• If we honestly confess our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins.
• If we confess our sins, He is faithful to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
• If we confess our sins, God us faithful to re-establish fellowship with His children.
• When we sin we need to confess our sins and then trust His word and accept His grace – for if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness – and to restore us back into fellowship.

• We have daily to recognize that our lives must be subject to the Holy Spirit, and when we are aware that there has been something of our own will, we have to be faithful before God about it.

• Hearts must have bled as they watched Him laid in the tomb, but faithful love had not died.
• As you trust your life into His hands, He will show you a way of escape, for there hath no trial taken you but such as is common to man, but God is faithful, Who will not suffer you to be tried above that ye are able, but will with the trial also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. 1 Corinthians 10:13.
• Never allow your heart or spirit to depress at this time, though the world spirals out of control... for He is faithful to go ahead of all circumstances of life to redeem the impossible.

• Faithful Servant We are to be advocates one for the other – little comforters; trustworthy anchors. We are to draw alongside to support and steady, to balance and even to correct. We are exhorted to exhort other Christians when we meet together in fellowship – particularly in these evil days as the return of the Lord gets ever closer.
• What a privilege and honour – what a ministry and yet what a responsibility… we have been entrusted to be that good, faithful servant, toward other believers.

• Whenever we choose the wrong way through rebellion, wrong teaching or ignorance of God’s way of sanctification, every born-again believer has access back to the throne of God, through confession of sins: Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight – and God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1John 1:9.
• Any believer who has strayed along the “works-merit–law” path and its ministry of death can be restored to the  “grace-promise-faith” way and its ministry of life for, His mercies are new every morning – great is His faithfulness.

• God’s Commands And He commands us: Watch and pray that you enter not into temptation. Live by faith and not by sight and don’t get embroiled in signs and wonders. We live under grace and not under the law.Be faithful in the place that God has put you. Be faithful to the point of death. Humble yourself under the mighty hand of God.

• Faithful Father God our Father is totally and utterly faithful – come what may: I will sing of the mercies of the Lord forever, with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.
• “Faithful”, I hear you say… “how is God faithful in the midst of all my distresses?” Remember this: faithful are the wounds of a friend – because, a friend loveth at all times.
• Faithful study and witness gives way to a declining interest and lowering of standards.
• Downward Spiral During the downward spiral as their world spins out of control, they are blinded to the work of His hand and the truth of His faithfulness.
• Great is His faithfulness.” Lam.3:22.
• Never forget: faithful is He that called you, Who also will do it. 1Thess.5:24

• God is Faithful But this I know: if God permits a man to be overwhelmed with sorrow and darkness, which all but brings him to the point of denying His Lord..
• destroying faith and hope – God knows how much we can all bear: For no temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it. 1Corinthians 10:13

• He also shall be my salvation. Job 13:15-16 While in Revelation 2:10 John told us: Be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.
• But joy results from faithful trusting acceptance..

• Faithful Few Will you not cling fast to Him Who loves and trusts you to be one of the few that will remain faithful to the very, very end..
• Will you be faithful to the end, and trust Him no matter what befalls you?

• Born of God Each member of the body of Christ has made a commitment to Him, a commitment to be a faithful follower right to the end of our earthly life.

• It is For All For whether it takes 20 years… or 95 years like Jacob to understand God’s process, you can be sure that He who started a good work in you will be faithful.

• And many, like Demas and Orphah, turn back to the world. But this is God’s take on that issue: there hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will NOT suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the trial also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. 1Cor.13:10
• Trusting God We are exhorted not only to be overcomers, but to be faithful right up to the end.

• Think about the eternal, faithful, righteous, gracious, holy God of love.

• He is faithful, and He is true to His word – He hath made us accepted in the Beloved.

• How we need to examine ourselves to see if we are in fellowship, and if not we need to confess our sins, and God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and restore us to fellowship.

• It is possible to read books by the score, and to listen to the most faithful and blessed ministry for years on end, and yet never know the Lord Jesus as a present loving Object in heavenly glory.

• But it is a faithful hour by hour, day by day, week by week seeking, It is a month – by year – by lifetime seeking that the Lord requires..
• Faithful Life This faithful godly man was given illumination in his old age, because he demonstrated a life of faith, of love, of patience and – Simeon waited.

• We are asked to have a confidence in the intangible and invisible promises of God and a conviction that God is faithful to keep His promises even though we cannot see it or experience it with our five senses.

• God’s Faithfulness I believe in the fullness of time we will all understand why the Bridegroom tarried, for we know that ALL things work together for good to those that love God. All things – even things we don’t understand and the things that grieve us.

• What must the obedient disciple do in a season of such anxiety of heart?  What actions should the faithful believers do in such moments of nagging concerns?  What should you do if you’re groping your way through a fear that the Lord delays?

• Is our fellowship so precious that whenever two or three meet together we receive through the other a fresh testimony of God’s faithfulness?

• and the apostle John explains how believers can remain in communion with God: If we make it our habit to confess our sins to the Father, He is faithful and just to forgives us for those sins and cleanses us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9

• God translates faithfulness into a faithful and wise servant in His service.
• He is watching to see if we are faithful and wise in all that He has entrusted to us… waiting to see if we fall into the category of a divided heart – waiting to see if He is all in all.

• In 1John 1:9 we read that: if we (we who are saved) confess our sins (our post-salvation sins), He is faithful and just to forgive us our (post-salvation) sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (all known and unknown unrighteousness).
• If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from ALL unrighteousness. 1John 1:9

• Many times we are exhorted to be faithful in a world of tribulation.
• God is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation, He will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. 1Cor 10:31
• God’s Faithfulness Today the enemy continues his assault on the Church with increasing intensity, but the saints of old bear witness of God’s never-failing faithfulness to His children.
• Remember, when Job contemplated the greatness and faithfulness of God he cried: though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him.
• Job 13:16 And the prayer of Habakkuk is a timely reminder to hold fast to the faith we posses, for despite the temptation to lose his faith in God – He rejoiced over God’s faithfulness.

• He is faithful and true.
• All To Do With Him God’s faithfulness to you has nothing whatsoever to do with you, but it has everything – absolutely everything to do with the Lord Jesus Christ.

• but he does encourage us to be faithful to our calling, by saying: Let us keep living by that same standard to which we have attained.
• God is just, and He rewards the faithful saint.

• The little faithful remnant of Israel were encouraged to look back to Abraham and to Sarah, whom God chose to be the founders of the nation.

• God is faithful, and not only has he already delivered us from the consequences of sin and eternal separation from Himself by grace through faith in the finished work of Christ on Calvary's Cross, but He has also promised to deliver us from the evils of this world as we travel through this earthly life: Our hope is in Him, knowing that He Who has already delivered us, will deliver us again.

• As God's blood-bought children and as His peculiar representatives on earth, we are required to be faithful witnesses to the One that bought us with His blood, for this gives glory to God and confounds the kingdom of Satan.

• Paul's authority came directly from God, not through men, which is why he so often referred to himself as Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus, called and chosen by the will of God, as he did in his introductory remark in Ephesians: Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, he began, to the saints who are at Ephesus and who are faithful in Christ Jesus.
• In some of his writings, Paul had to stress his divinely appointed calling and apostleship because there were those that challenged his authority, but the Ephesian Christians were spiritual men and women whom Paul identified as, faithful in Christ Jesus.

• During this time, unbelieving Israel, along with all the godless nations of the world, will reap the dreadful rewards of their gross apostasy and satanic behaviour.Although severe destruction will fall on this godless world, the Lord has always had a faithful remnant, and He is not blind to the needs of godly men and women.
• He does not fail at dawn, yet the one who does wrong knows no shame.The promises of God remain faithful and true, for He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

• This planned genocide was discovered and reversed through faithful servants of God whom the Lord used to save His people from destruction, and to carry forward His eternal plan of redemption.

• When we abide in Christ and He abides in us, the fruit of the Spirit is the product that will flow through us - and the fruit that Christ produces through us will be love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

• One person that Paul named in certain epistles, is Timothy.Paul knew that the Thessalonian believers had been undergoing some severe persecution and was anxious for their well-being and so he entrusted Timothy, his faithful fellow-worker, to travel to Thessalonica.

• Indeed the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control..
• which in time will be translated into rewards for those that are faithful..

• We are not only to trust Him when the great giants of opposition and oppression are put to flight, but we are to keep on trusting Him when our faith in God is severely tried, when we are insulted and persecuted, and when others say all kinds of evil against us falsely for Christ's sake, for He is a faithful God Who does not change, He abides forever, and He has established His throne in the heavens for righteous judgement and everlasting peace.

• These older women of God were called to encourage younger women to remain faithful to their husbands in difficult circumstances as well as during those happier times in life.

• May we develop an attitude of continuous prayerful praise, for God is faithful to fulfil all His promises to His children.

• But although His people broke their covenant to Him, the Lord never forgot His people and He never will, for we have a faithful God whose Word never fails and whose promises stand fast forever.

• His love for His Bride and His faithfulness towards us all is never-failing, even when we may prove weary of waiting or tempted towards unfaithfulness.

• David wrote this psalm in a time of deep distress and severe sorrow and pours out his heart to the Lord, but as with all the psalms he wrote, he inevitably restates his abiding confidence in the faithfulness of God, for David knew that there was nowhere else to fly to and there was no-one else in which to place his trust.

• Faithfulness is a quality to which we are all called; faithfulness in our earthly duties and faithfulness to our Heavenly Father.
• Moses is lifted up in the book of Hebrews as a prime example of faithfulness, for we read: Now Moses was faithful in all his house as a servant, and the Lord used Moses as a testimony of those things which were to be spoken of later.Just as the Law is a schoolmaster which steadfastly points us to Christ and His New and better Covenant, so Moses was a faithful servant whom God used as a trusted sign-post to point us to the coming Messiah, for he testified of those things which were to be spoken about later - the revelation that was to come through Jesus Christ, the Son of God and Son of Man.Moses bore witness of the good news of man's redemption which would come through a greater Prophet than he, a greater Priest than Aaron, and a greater king than David.
• The inferior Aaronic priesthood and the glory that Moses received, stands in stark contrast with Christ's superior Priesthood after the royal order of Melchizedek, for the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ is acknowledged to be vastly superior to that of Moses, the great prophet and leader of Israel.Moses was commended as a faithful servant in all God's house, and he faithfully built the Tabernacle of the Lord after the heavenly pattern, but the One that was to come was the Son of the most High God, Who was Himself the Builder of the eternal House of which Moses was caretaker.The earthly tabernacle was simply a shadow of the heavenly Temple and universal kingdom to come, which Christ Himself would build.
• Moses was a faithful servant who was obedient to his earthly calling to Israel, while the Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son: He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.The work that was carried out by Moses, the servant of God, was simply a dim representation of Christ, the eternal Creator Who is seated in heavenly places and Who is functioning as Son over God's whole House.In every respect, the status and position of Christ is far superior to Moses, who simply testified of the Saviour Who was to come.
• He is the One Who will Build His House: And the gates of hell will not prevail against it.May we who are members of Christ's Body, be faithful in our earthly duties and devoted to our Heavenly Father, for Christ’s sake.

• And despite Israel's rejection of their Messiah and the crucifixion of Jesus, the carpenter from Nazareth and King of the Jews, God is faithful to His promises and will not set aside the people He chose to be the nation through Whom the Saviour of the world would be born; the nation to Whom the Scriptures were given.

• What a wonderful truth to wake to everyday, knowing that forgiveness of sins is our present possession, morning by morning: Great is His faithfulness.
• What a marvellous matter to know that the gift of eternal life, which we received at the moment of our salvation, is not conditional on our own steadfastness but on the truth of the Word of the Lord and the faithfulness of God's unchangeable character: For His name's sake.

• God is holy, and God is faithful.
• The enemy will try to flood your mind with doubt and try to discredit the character of God, but God is faithful and true, His Word is forever sure, and all who are believers have been accepted in the Lord Jesus.

• He was a precious brother in the faith, a loyal servant of the Lord, and a faithful minister of the gospel who accompanied Paul on his third missionary journey.
• Not only did it contain news of Paul's current circumstance, but he knew that this faithful servant of the Lord would edify the saints, encourage them to stand firm in the faith, and hold fast to the truth of the glorious gospel of grace.He wrote to inform them of his current situation during his imprisonment in Rome, and to reassure them that he was Christ's ambassador in chains whose ongoing desire was to share the gospel as boldly as he could.
• And so, he sent Tychicus to encourage and comfort their hearts in the midst of the difficult times in which they were living, and to embolden them to preach the Word fearlessly.It was through Tychicus that Paul sent his letter to Colossae, for this faithful friend was a man who brought encouragement and comfort to all those he served.
• May we, like him, pray without ceasing, rejoice in the Lord continuously, and in everything give thanks to our Heavenly Father.May we seek to be faithful servants of God and develop the sort of Christlike character that honours the Lord in word and in de, and may we give godly encouragement and comfort to all those who are placed in our path, for the honour of His holy name.

• However, as time passed, hostility towards the Lord Jesus started to develop, and increasingly His message and ministry was rejected, causing Him to begin teaching His faithful followers through parables.
• Although He continued to perform many mighty miracles and preach to the large crowds that followed Him, it was a small group of faithful disciples who were the target audience of His parabolic teachings.

• As we ponder the gentle kindness, faithful protection, and loving nurture we receive, moment by moment, should we not glory that we are known so intimately by the God of our salvation, the Saviour of our soul, and that He is with us every step of the way? 

• He explains how the faithful remnant will mourn deeply over rejecting their Messiah when they realise their sin.

• Jesus came to give us life and to give it more abundantly, and The Crown of Life, is awarded to those who have patiently endured persecution, and undergone unjustified sufferings and trials, during their life, while the Crown of Glory, is given to pastors and teachers who have been faithful in shepherding the flock of God.
• Not only is there rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents, but there will be rejoicing in heaven when the pastors or evangelists, who faithfully preached the whole counsel of God, rejoice when they see the people that have been saved, because of their faithful witness.

• No matter how bleak and evil the world situation becomes, we have God's unfailing reassurance that His mercy and compassion are new every morning; how great is the faithfulness of our gracious God.
• His mercies never come to an end; His gracious compassion is new every morning; how great is the faithfulness of our gracious God.

• But it is also a book of hope that proclaims restoration for a faithful remnant, prophesies of the coming Messiah, and implores God's people to be obedient to His Word and to look for the coming of Elijah, who was to be the forerunner of God's anointed King.
• Behold, I am going to send My Messenger, is the encouraging proclamation at the start of chapter 3: Be ready, is the watchword: I am about to send My herald, who will clear the way before Me. God was telling His faithful remnant that one day, He would send a man to be a voice in the wilderness.
• But, to the faithful remnant of those who believed, the Lord Jesus was sent by God at the appointed time: As many as received Him, to them He gave the power to become sons of God.

• He is the Faithful Shepherd, Who cares for His people and encourages us to lie down in green pastures.

• It was at that time that the Lord Jesus began in earnest to prepare His little band of faithful followers for His shocking betrayal, false accusations, unjust trial, cruel death, and glorious Resurrection.Over and again, His disciples failed to comprehend the serious nature of Christ's repeated prediction of His fast-approaching betrayal and death, and it became necessary for Jesus to speak plainly about the severe self-discipline His followers would require if they were to stand fast in the evil day and not be sifted as wheat by the enemy, nor emotionally tossed about by the terrible things they were soon to face.A simple, immovable, childlike faith in Christ Who had come as God's anointed King, His promised Messiah, and Kinsman-Redeemer, was essential as the days grew darker: Whoever receives Me, Jesus said, receives Him Who sent Me.Petty differences of colour or creed were to be laid aside, and a unity in the faith was to be established by those who acknowledged Jesus as Lord.

• And so he declares this beautiful truth: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is His faithfulness.
• Great is His faithfulness.

• Dispute the mocking, ridicule, and cruel treatment he received from his fellow-Israelites, Jeremiah had submitted to the Lord throughout his life and in this final distress and pain, he was able to call to mind the faithfulness of God.

• The Lord our God is faithful and true to His Word, and He satisfies our years with good things so that our youth is renewed like that of an eagle.

• And so, in a chapter that pronounces the destruction of Israel's wealth, the loss of their inheritance, enslavement to their enemies, and a curse on the man who places his trust in the flesh, Jeremiah also gives wonderful reassurance to the faithful remnant who place their trust in the Lord: Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, is Jeremiah's declaration from the Almighty God, For he will be like a tree planted by the water, that extends its roots by a stream, and doesn't fear when the heat comes.
• Jeremiah reminds the faithful remnant of believing Israel (and also those of us that are saved by grace, through faith in Christ Jesus our Lord), of the wonderful fact that the Lord examines the heart and gives to each what they deserve, based on what they have done, by faith: I, the Lord search the heart.
• God is righteous and must punish sin, but He is also faithful to fulfil His promises to those that love Him and to reward those that place their trust in Him - for without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

• God's faithfulness towards Israel had not become null and void because they rejected the good news of the gospel of grace and crucified their Messiah.
• Paul needed to address this false notion that the unbelief of man nullified the faithful promises of God.
• Can unbelieving, religious-minded Jews who are unfaithful to God cancel out God's revealed truth and His faithfulness?

• Nevertheless, he wrote to Timothy: The things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.
• We are blessed to be children of God because Paul, Timothy, many witness, faithful men, and others have shared the good news of the gospel of grace, down through multiplied centuries of time.
• We heard the good news, because the gospel was passed on from Paul through many witnesses, faithful men, and 'others' - and is recorded for our learning in the Holy Scriptures.

• Although the Lord warned Jeremiah that the people would not listen to his words, remember their covenant with God, or return to the old ways of righteousness, this weeping prophet was faithful to his calling: Thus says the LORD, he declared, Stand by the ways and see and ask for the ancient paths, where the good way is, and walk in it; and you will find rest for your souls.
• We are not called to walk the same ancient path to which Israel was called, but we are required to be faithful to our calling, to walk in spirit and truth as outlined in the Word of God, to grow in grace and in a knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, and to mature in the faith that we have been taught.

• In Hebrews, we read that Sarah received the ability to conceive even beyond the proper time of life, since she considered God was faithful Who had promised she would be the mother of multitudes.
• By faith, Sarah received the ability to conceive, beyond the proper time of life, since she considered Him faithful Who had made the promise.

• The closer that the Lord Jesus drew to the cross, the more we see His teaching begin to shift away from His early mission, where He came only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel as their faithful Shepherd..

• Like us, these young pastors of the early Church were urged to hold fast to the faithful Word of God which was taught by Paul and Christ's other apostles so that they were enabled to exhort and challenge all who contradicted the sound teachings of the Word of truth.

• Rather, we are to be ruled or governed by the Holy Spirit Who brings forth love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

• You are slow to anger and rich in faithful love and truth, was his honest declaration.
• David had proved that God is a faithful and forgiving God, and whether in prayer, praise, or petition, his song of worship and thanksgiving testifies of his trust in God and his acknowledgement that God is the Lord, and his hope is in Him alone: For there is no God like unto our God, nor are there any works that compare with His wonders.

• In this psalm, we see a beautiful portrait of God as our good and faithful Shepherd Who leads us by still waters and guides us into the way of peace.
• The picture that is painted in this well-loved psalm of David, is that of our faithful God, our merciful and gracious Saviour, our good and caring Shepherd Who keeps us, protects us, and provides for us through all the changing scenes of life.
• Our faithful God is the one who fed the hungry multitude, provides comfort for the broken-hearted, gives succour to the weak, strength to the weary, hope to the afflicted, and salvation to all who trust in Christ Jesus for the forgiveness of their sins - for while we were yet sinners, God in His grace provided a Kinsman-Redeemer to save His people from their sins.

• Let us trust our faithful God to complete His plans and purposes, for He that it is coming will come, and will not delay.

• His lovingkindness is everlasting, and His faithfulness extends to all generations.
• He is merciful, and He is faithful.
• What a glorious triplet of gracious attributes to ascribe to the great, almighty, sovereign, powerful, righteous God of gods - for power and righteousness without goodness, mercy, and faithfulness would be a terrifying prospect for humanity.
• His faithfulness spans every generation of mankind.
• His faithfulness is never-ending.
• He is our good, merciful and faithful God, Whose promises cannot be broken and Whose Word can be trusted implicitly.
• No surprise that we are called upon to make a joyful noise and sing praises to the God of our salvation, for the Lord is good, His mercy endures forever, and His faithfulness lasts throughout every generation.
• Let us reflect in joyous wonder on our merciful Father, and praise the name of our faithful God, forever and ever.
• His faithfulness lasts throughout every generation.
• Let us bless the God of our salvation, for He is good, His lovingkindness is everlasting, and His faithfulness stretches into the eternity of eternities.

• That good and great shepherd of the sheep was the one Who would be called Faithful and True.

• BUT GOD Who is loving, gracious, long-suffering, and faithful, pronounced His bitter rod of severe chastening due to their apostasy, which would also prove to be a blossoming staff of sweet comfort and peace, grace and mercy, love, and hope, and joy.
• He promised that God's plans for His people were rooted in His never-failing faithfulness towards them.

• Solomon was a man who had observed God's faithfulness in his father's life and because He trusted in Him, the Lord heard and answered his prayer of faith in an astonishing way.

• But there was one amongst this little band of faithful disciples that Jesus identified as: 'the son of perdition': I guarded them and not one of them perished but the son of perdition.

• He acts like a faithful husband who not only forgives his unfaithful wife, but restores her to a place of blessed fellowship with himself while giving her protection from all that would assail her.

• Faithfulness to the truth of God's Word and devotion to the Lord Jesus Christ is the essence of Christianity.
• John is often referred to as the apostle of love while Paul is seen as the apostle of grace - but the truth of the gospel of Christ is rooted and grounded in love and grace - together with mercy and compassion, goodness and faithfulness, joy and peace in believing, patience and self-control.

• Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.
• We will be tested and tried, just as those saints in Smyrna were tested and tried, but those that remain faithful to the point of death have been promised a crown of life - and when HE is with us and surrounding us, who can fail!
• God is faithful and has promised that NO temptation has overtaken any of us, except those that are common to every man.
• BUT God is faithful, and will not allow us to be tested above that which we are able, but will, with the temptation we face, make a way to escape so we are enabled to bear it.
• They may have been tried and severely tested, mocked and slandered, and the devil may have cast some of these faithful servants into prison for ten days.
• But what Christ said next must have brought tremendous comfort and joy to their heart, (and to ours),Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.
• May each of us be faithful to the point of death knowing that in the end, we have been promised the crown of life.

• Abram heard the Word of the Lord and believed that God would be faithful to fulfil what He had promised.

• He is the chief Shepherd Who has promised us the unfading crown of glory at His coming, and He is our faithful Shepherd, Who has promised never to leave us nor forsake us.

• The prophecy from Zephaniah was written to comfort the faithful remnant of Judah in their time of deep distress.
• Because of the nation's disobedience, the faithful remnant in Judah also faced great difficulties, but they were exhorted by Zephaniah, to be patient and wait for the Lord. 'Therefore, wait for Me,' declares the LORD, 'Wait for the day when I rise us as a witness.
• The faithful remnant were not removed from difficult and dangerous times.
• Like the faithful remnant in the times of Zephaniah, we in this Church dispensation, are instructed to wait for His timing.

• for the eyes of the Lord move to and fro throughout the whole earth to show that He is faithful and strong to support and save those whose heart is completely His.

• Our faithful God Whose steadfast love endures forever will be our guide, even to the very end.

• Unlike the majority of Israelite prophets who called the nation to repentance and proclaimed God's great love and faithfulness towards His chosen people, Jonah's message was a warning to pagan Gentiles to turn from their false gods and trust in the true God of heaven and earth Who demonstrates His great heart of compassion, mercy, and grace, for ALL people.

• Such teaching is false and biblically incorrect.May we seek to be more like the beloved Gaius, who walked in spirit, truth, and love, and was faithful in whatsoever good works he undertook, for the sake of saints and strangers alike.

• Christ Himself was tempted yet He never sinned, and we too can be tempted but do not need to yield to temptation, for God is faithful and will not allow His children to be tempted more than they can stand.
• But God, in His grace made a way for us to return to fellowship with him: If we confess our sin, God is faithful and just to forgive us our sin and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

• What confidence should flood our soul and what joy should illuminate our hearts, for the long-suffering, faithful God of Israel Who redeemed them out of the Egyptian bondage and restored them from their Babylonian captivity, is the same Saviour Who is faithful and true, Who clothed Himself in flesh, and came to earth in the likeness of human flesh and bled and died that you and I might also be redeemed from the captivity of Satan, and rescued from the bondage of sin.

• His prayers often contain a request for God's help in the face of his enemies, which demonstrates a quiet confidence that God is faithful to His Word and will not let him down.
• They are rooted in the eternal faithfulness of His everlasting Word, and His Word is securely anchored on the rock of our salvation which is Jesus Whose name is Faithful and True: For Faithful is He who hath promised, Who also will do it.
• It was David who knew this to be true in his own life, and we find him reflecting on the wonder of the Lord as he prayerfully considers the goodness of God and His faithfulness in meeting sinners and teaching them the way of truth: All the paths of the LORD are lovingkindness and truth, he writes, His ways lead to gracious love, and He shows His fidelity towards those who keep His covenant and His testimonies.
• The faithfulness, mercy, goodness, and grace of God, are no less true today than during that time when David discovered the Lord was his Shepherd Who gently leads him beside the still waters, faithfully guides him into the way of peace, guards him in the valley of the shadow of death, and prepares a plentiful table of good things in the midst of all his enemies.

• Not only is Paul's epistle a personal letter to a spiritual son, encouraging Timothy to be faithful, to stand firm in the faith, to communicate the truth of the gospel, and give advice on the selection of church elders, but he warns against apostasy and false teaching within the congregation.

• Jesus used stories like the good Samaritan, the wise and foolish builders, and a fishing dragnet, to illustrate some of His teachings, while Paul utilised the patience of a long-distance runner or the courage of faithful soldiers in the fulfilment of their duty.

• And for the past 2000 years, the Holy Spirit is to all who have trusted Christ as Saviour, what Christ Himself had been to His little band of faithful followers: our Helper, Advocate, Comforter, and Paraclete.

• Time after time, we discover our faithful God restoring His people and leading them by a straight way until they reached a city in which to dwell, for the Lord is good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon His name, and His love endures forever.
• God's faithfulness towards the Church (which is His Body), is as equally gracious as His faithfulness towards Israel (His chosen nation).
• Like them, He remains faithful to us even when we become faithless.
• Great is His faithfulness towards all His children, both Jew and Gentile.
• Great is His faithfulness towards Israel and the Church.

• Paul had confidence in the faithfulness of Christ to finish the good work that had been started in his own life, knowing that a day is coming when Christ will return for His Church, to complete His good work in us.
• Let us unashamedly draw ever closer to our faithful God in confident assurance that He will indeed carry to completion all we have entrusted to Him on the day that Christ returns for His Church, for ALL His promises to us are 'yes' and 'amen' in Christ.

• This call for men to trust in the Lord, to taste of His faithfulness, and to see that the Lord is good and gracious, stands in the centre of a psalm that begins by blessing the Lord at all times and praising Him continually.

• David was justified when he was a young shepherd-boy tending his father's sheep, but the more he discovered of the long-suffering faithfulness of God, the more his heart overflowed with thanksgiving and praise.

• Unlike many of his other writings which open by lamenting the tremendous trials and tribulations the psalmist is facing, and crying out to God for help and relief before finally recalling the faithfulness of the Lord towards His people, Psalm 27 opens with an outburst of praise and confidence in the Lord, The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?
• Rather than starting to write from a position of weakness for fear of wicked men and enemies that encompass him round about, and allowing his spirits to be lifted as he reflects on the goodness and faithfulness of God, this Psalm begins from a point of victory, because God IS good, His mercy endures forever, and He is the God of our Salvation.

• At times, his faith grew weak, and at times, he did not understand, but through it all he discovered that God is always faithful and His promises are always sure.

• Only by grace through faith can we experience the beautiful fruit of the Spirit in our hearts - love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

• And although God denied his request because David was a man of war, the Lord had promised His faithful servant that HE - the Lord, would build David a house which would be an everlasting dynasty... and that Solomon, his son and heir, would be the one to build David's longed-for Temple of God.

• But it is also God who instils a deep hunger in the heart of the Christian and so, like Paul, they reach a point in their lives when they too cry out: That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death. And the one who has been saved by grace through faith begins to learn that salvation is not only that exciting point of rebirth into the family of God, but is also a long and often difficult journey through life, where faith is tried and tested and God is proved to be faithful once again.

• Not only is Timothy exhorted to be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus, but also to provide spiritual strength for those in His care – for in the following verse we read: And the things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.

• David's hope is in the Lord his God and this magnificent truth is a celebration of God's almighty power to save and His faithfulness to deliver the people of His pasture.
• Praise him for his grace and favourto his people in distress.Praise him, still the same as ever,slow to chide, and swift to bless.Alleluia, alleluia!Glorious in his faithfulness!

• The Old Testament is filled with references about good and faithful shepherds, who nurture the little flock of God, in their care.
• He is the faithful Shepherd who knows His sheep and whose voice is recognised by them.
• When JESUS, the Supreme Shepherd returns in the clouds to take us to be with Himself, they will receive a glorious crown, rewarding them for their faithful efforts, that will never fade away.
• Unlike the runners in an earthy race who receive a fading wreath of leaves that quickly shrivels and dies, faithful men are to shepherd the flock of God under the authoritative guardianship of Christ.
• He is the Chief and Preeminent Shepherd of all God' people, Who will award each of His faithful under-shepherd, a glorious crown, a never-withering garland of glory, an eternal coronet of praise.
• Whether this is only given to those who are under-shepherds in a Church fellowship, or whether it is a crown that may be awarded to all who have faithfully served the body of Christ, and cared for the people of God in the graciousness of their heart, under the guidance of the Spirit is not clear, but may we all in humility of heart carry out Christ's will faithfully and fervently, by caring for the Church of Christ, as we look for that glorious day when we will be with our Good and Faithful Shepherd, Who died and rose again so that we might live eternally.

• We are to have confidence in the Lord's faithfulness, and we are to quietly trust in the God of our salvation, for He has promised to fight for us and to deliver us from all our enemies.
• Rather, let us trust in the faithful Word of God, for the Lord will fight for us, while we need to rest in His love and trust His Word, for He Who had promised will do it, in His way, and to His glory.

• David found out that God was his faithful Shepherd and strong Tower.

• As before, Satan was permitted to further afflict God's faithful servant: Only spare his life, was the one condition.

• The words of the Lord are faithful and true, and they are commanded and guaranteed to a thousand generations.

• Throughout his life, Jeremiah was faithful in delivering the Word of the Lord to the errant people of Israel, despite his message being rejected by the masses and derided by the king.
• Like Jeremiah, we are called to be faithful in the work that God has given us to do.
• Like Jeremiah, we are called to be faithful to the point of death and we will receive healing, deliverance, and the eternal reward that God has prepared for those that love and trust Him. 

• He had proved Himself so many times to be faithful and true, and yet the nature of man is always to be independent of God, despite the testimony of His never-failing grace in our lives.

• It was their faith in Christ and their love for each other that motivated Paul to write to these faithful brothers and sisters in Christ, and caused him to pray continuously for them, giving thanks to God for them all.

• We are to rest confidently in the knowledge that He is our faithful God; the supreme Creator of all, and Commander of the armies of heaven Who redeems us by faith in the shed blood of Christ, and will never leave us nor forsake us.
• Be still, my soul; the Lord is on thy side;Bear patiently the cross of grief or pain;Leave to thy God to order and provide;In every change He faithful will remain.Be still, my soul; thy best, thy heavenly FriendThrough thorny ways leads to a joyful end.

• Let us thank God for His faithfulness to Israel; past, present, and future, and rejoice that His promises to them, and to us, are true and cannot be broken.

• The Bible advises virtuous living and prudent planning for we read, those who plan good find loyalty and faithfulness and, plans are made by seeking wise and godly advice from others. 

• Jesus is our great High Priest and the one we acknowledge by faith as our God and Saviour, and we are to pay attention to His life and His behaviour - for He was faithful to His Heavenly Father Who appointed Him to be our Kinsman-Redeemer.
• We read: He was faithful to Him Who appointed Him, just as Moses also was faithful in all his house.
• There are many Old Testament people, like God's servant Moses, who can be identified as 'types' of Christ, and Moses was one such prototype of the Lord Jesus because he was faithful.
• In Numbers 12 we are informed: Moses My servant, is faithful in all My household.
• And just as Moses faithfully built up the house of Israel, as instructed by the Lord, so Christ is faithful to His heavenly calling for He is building up His Church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it.
• And Moses faithfully led the children of Israel through the wilderness for 40 years with prayer, and fasting, and much heartache - for like Christ Moses was also faithful in all his house.
• Like Moses, Christ was faithful in all that God called Him to do... indeed, He is worthy of all honour, and glory, and worship, and praise... both in this life and in the ages to come.
• But God in His grace drew a beautiful comparison between Moses, who was faithful to his calling, and the Lord Jesus Christ - for like Christ Moses was also faithful in all his house.
• May we who are called by His name, be faithful to our calling - however great or menial our task may be... for we are all members of Christ's Body and each has been given a unique role in the place where God has planted us and in the work of the ministry to which we have each been called.

• And God is faithful and just to fulfil all that He has promised to those that are called and chosen, to those that trust His Word.
• And God is faithful and just to fulfil all that He has promised to those who have trusted in Christ.
• God is the One Who called us and chose us, enriched us and seated us together with Christ in heavenly places, and He is faithful to His keep Word, even when we prove faithless towards Him.

• He had a lovely home, a faithful wife, sons and daughters, flocks and herds.
• We are permitted to listen into a heavenly conversation where Satan accuses Job of only being faithful to the Lord, because of the riches he has received from God, rather than love for his Creator.
• Job was ignorant of Satan's accusations against him, and of the heavenly conversation that would prove him to be God's faithful servant.
• The satanic trials he faced would become a test of Job's faithfulness, and we are given an in-depth, birds-eye view, of the many terrible things that devastated his life - yet Job remained ignorant of the war being fought in heavenly places.
• May we be faithful servants who trust in the Lord with ALL our hearts and not lean on our own understanding.

• And when a sinner confesses with their mouth to God that he believes in the Person and Work of Christ and that 'Jesus is Lord', God is faithful and just to hear our confession and forgive us our sins - for God hears and He saves.

• Nevertheless, words of comfort and hope were given to a faithful remnant 'the Israel of God' as Paul calls them: Do not fear, for I am with you in the storm, were the Lord's reassuring words to this tiny remnant: I will bring your offspring from the east, and gather you from the west. I will say to the north, 'Give them up!' and to the south, 'do not hold them back.' 
• Although restoration of a remnant occurred after Judah's return from Babylonian captivity, we know that a second restoration will take place at the time of the end, when God's faithful people are gathered from the far corners of the earth by His holy angels. 
• Whether it is promises of judgement for disobedience or blessings for faithfulness, God always fulfils His promises.
• He brought back some of His faithful people from the Babylonian dispersion and at the appointed time, God sent His Son into the world to save His people from their sin.
• It is not because of Israel's great goodness that God remains faithful to them, but because of HIS great goodness and never-ending kindness.

• The faithfulness of Daniel and his three friends is brought to our immediate attention.

• He was their true and faithful Shepherd, and they were the sheep of His pasture.
• It was to a disparate little group of His faithful followers that the Lord Jesus offered these words of comfort and encouragement: Do not be afraid, little flock, He told the anxious little group who had already started to be persecuted for righteousness' sake: Fear not, for your Father has chosen gladly to give you the kingdom.

• Although there may be times in their lives when they fall into sin, God has promised that if we confess our sin He is faithful and just to forgive us our sin and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

• But all good and perfect gifts are from our faithful Father in heaven, and all the evil that has engulfed this fallen world has its root in sin.
• As the people of God, we too can be beset with evil, pain, disasters, and distresses in life, but we know that our God is a faithful God who is full of loving-kindness towards us.

• How necessary to hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, and to pursue peace and holiness for our God and Saviour Whose promises are faithful and true.

• Abram did not need to fear the future, for God would not allow his faithful servant to miss out on the reward that was rightfully his, and promised him something infinitely better than the worldly spoils from Sodom, which he rescued from the pagan invaders!
• But the reward God gives to all His faithful servants is over and above all that we can ask or think.
• Let us never forget that we have a faithful Father Whose promises to His people are all 'yes' and 'amen' in Christ Jesus our Lord, and should cause our hearts to rejoice in the Lord always and be glad in Him for evermore.

• The trio of patience, kindness, and goodness, are predominantly attributes that are displayed in gracious conduct towards other people, while the trinity of faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control, are hidden facets, deep within, that God alone can truly discern. 
• But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
• The GOODNESS of a spirit-filled Christian is often demonstrated through gracious acts that put others before themselves while FAITHFULNESS is seen in the godly individual who exhibits unconditional reliability.
• While some people are adept at perfecting certain of these spiritual characteristics in their own strength, the fruit of the Spirit, which is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control, can only be genuinely manifested in a spirit-filled man or woman.

• May we be faithful soldiers and servants, standing fast on the Word of God and unshaken by a world that is out of control due to their enmity with our good and gracious heavenly Father.

• The testimony of the triune Godhead is faithful and true, and His Word stands fast for ever and ever.

• May we be faithful in our calling and tell forth the good news that Christ died for our sin according to the Scriptures, was buried, and rose again according to the Scriptures.

• Even when we prove faithless to Him, He remains faithful to the promises that He made to us, and to all who trust Christ as Saviour.

• In disclosing this astonishing name to His servant, God was telling Moses that He could be depended upon to fulfil every requirement of His people Israel, for His faithfulness is never-ending and His mercy endures from one generation to the next.

• Down through the generations, God has proved Himself faithful.
• We simply need to rest in His love and yield to the work of His Spirit in the inner man, for: Faithful is He Who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass.

• God's Word is true, His promises are sure, and His faithfulness endures from one generation to the next.

• From eternity to eternity, the Lord's faithful love is toward those that fear Him, and His righteousness is toward children's children.

• From his youth, David found God was faithful and true, and despite his own foolish actions, some irresponsible decisions, and sinful behaviours, David maintained a holy faith in the Lord and found Him to be the only Rock on which he could stand and his only secure Tower of Refuge.

• His words are faithful and true, and His final testimony climaxes with a glorious response: 'BEHOLD, I come quickly.' AMEN!

• The Lord is true to His Word, His mercy is new every morning, and He is a faithful God Who will stand firm to the very end of time.
• God is NOT a man that He should lie, and the Lord Jesus Christ is the faithful and true Witness Whose Word stands fast for ever.

• In the Old Testament, the people of God were under the Law and their faithful reward for cheerfully giving their tithes and offerings to the Lord, often resulted in material blessings.

• May we grow in grace, walk in spirit and truth, live in humble dependence on God, and be faithful servants unto our life's end, for His greater praise and glory.

• God is always faithful.
• And through the words of this chapter, Isaiah records the pleading heart of God's faithful people as they questioningly cry out: Will You restrain Yourself at these things, O Lord?
• Isaiah was part of the faithful remnant of Israel and he was also ordained by God to foretell many of the travesties that would befall the stricken nation.
• And as members of Christ's Body in the post-Cross dispensation of grace, we too should follow the example of this faithful little remnant in Israel who, despite the terrible sufferings they experienced both individually and as a nation, were men and women of faith who continued to trust in the Lord with all their heart and did not lean on their own understanding.

• His children may let the Lord down or grumble at the circumstances of their lives or try to achieve God's plan and purpose for their lives in their own strength, but all God's promises are true and He is faithful to carry out all His pledges to every one of His children, and no-one will be able to stand against us as long as we live.

• He is faithful and trustworthy, and all His promises are 'Yes' and 'Amen' in Christ Jesus.

• GREAT is His faithfulness and love.

• He received many reassurances of God's faithfulness over the next fifteen years, and experienced God's protective hand of blessing on many occasions, as he passed through the land that God promised to give him and his descendants.
• Like Abraham, we are to have confidence in His power and His faithfulness to carry out all that He has purposed and all that He has promised, which means that we do not rely on our own understanding or abilities, our merit or righteousness, but rest on the veracity of His Word.

• When a Christian is brought to the place of godly repentance, they will not have the type of regret the unsaved experience, for if we confess our sin, God is faithful and just to forgive us our sin, cleanse us, return us into fellowship with Himself, and set us back on the sanctification pathway.

• It was to happen not many days hence, and 120 of His faithful followers followed His instructions.

• At the darkest point in His life, Jesus set us a perfect example by calling to remembrance the goodness of His ever-faithful God by reciting the Scripture that met His deepest point of need.

• It is the little remnant of faithful Israel who are depicted as rejoicing in the Lord because the time is coming when their promised Messiah will come and 'tabernacle' among His people and will lead God’s covenant nation in joyful praises to the Lord.

• Rahab's request demonstrated her faith in God and before leaving, the men swore an oath that if she faithfully carried out their instruction and did not report their visit to the authorities, they would show her kindness and faithfulness when God gave the city into their hands: Our lives for yours, they promised.

• But refusal to acknowledge their Creator does not nullify His existence, and rejecting His offer of salvation through unbelief does not nullify the faithfulness of God to keep His Word: that whosever believes on the Lord Jesus Christ, whether Jew or Gentile, will not perish but have everlasting life.
• Does their unbelief nullify the faithfulness of God?

• There are many examples of men and women of faith drawn from Scripture which encourage us to maintain an unshakable trust in God's Word and stimulate the firm conviction that God is faithful and His promises stand fast forever.
• Abraham is the supreme example of a man of faith whose life bears witness of the never-failing faithfulness of our good and gracious God and whose life experience encourages us to maintain the hope we have in Christ; our sure and steadfast anchor, on Whom to secure our soul.
• His example of patiently waiting for God to act and then to act in faithful obedience when God speaks, is a call for each of us to persevere under trial, to trust and obey His Word, and remain steadfast in the face of life's difficult circumstances.

• A faithful and trustworthy saying in the Word of God, is a faithful FACT.
• A faithful and trustworthy saying is a dependable doctrine and a certain creed upon which to rest.
• Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, is a faithful and trustworthy saying.
• It is a commendable and faithful saying, and worthy of full and universal acceptance.

• In this verse, the writer to the Hebrews reaches back into the Old Testament to express the timeless truth in Psalm 118 that the Lord is faithful, His lovingkindness is everlasting, and because the Lord is for him, he has nothing to fear: The Lord is for me.
• And the wonderful truth is that nothing can separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus, and that His faithful to keep all His promises to us.
• The character of the Lord Jesus and attributes of God are changeless: unalterable, immutable, indestructible, irrevocable, lasting, and one by one, the Word of God unveils the unchangeable nature of God and His faithfulness to His Word.
• Hebrews alerts us to the many fleshly dangers, sinful temptations, and worldly appetites that can lure a believer away from a life of faithful discipleship into an attitude of discontent, greed, and a lack of brotherly love towards our fellow believers. It gives a series of warnings against unbelief, which comes from a hardened, rebellious heart as well as providing a portrait gallery of dear saints, whose faith we should emulate, for they simply trusted the word of the LORD and in the end, came forth as pure gold.

• What a comfort to know that despite their gross apostasy, the Lord remains faithful to the covenant promises He made to His people. 

• Great is His faithfulness.

• What a beautiful picture Isaiah portrays of Israel being regathered, restored, and remarried by their gracious God, Who is depicted as a faithful and loving husband.

• The shocking truth was that faithfulness, godliness, and brotherly love had almost been eliminated from their lives, and Christ's strong criticism was a warning to these spiritually slumbering Christians, to wake up and to reverse the lamentable spiritual demise into which they had fallen - if the church was to survive. The true gospel of Christ, which was once the foundation upon which this church was built, had been eroded, and John was instructed to urge these believers at Sardis to strengthen whatever remained of the faith that had once been delivered to these saints.

• In this passage, the little remnant of Israel were recalling the faithfulness of God and the wonderful way He led His people in the wilderness.
• The urgent cries of the faithful remnant of Israel reflect the increasing urgency that is seen in the book of Revelation, as the weary tribulation saints cry out to the Lord: How long... how long O sovereign Lord, holy and true.

• To become faithful in administrating God's house as a true ministering servant of the Lord, he must set aside his royal privileges forever and humility of heart had to be cultivated in his role as a simple herdsman, while God fashioned and honed his character into the great prophet he became.
• And may we be faithful servants in our service to Him, for who knows what God has prepared for us to do if we are ready and willing to respond to His call?  

• Christ also wants faithful disciples who are humble of heart and who will give up all for His names sake, and so He seeks men and women who are willing to pay a price by taking up their cross and following Him no matter what it costs.

• A day is coming when Christ will judge the world in righteousness and all His judgements are faithful and true, for He is the express image of the invisible God Who has united justice with peace; and His everlasting name is the 'Word of God'.

• The majority of Israel found fault with the faultless Son of Man at His first advent, and only the eyes of the faithful remnant of Israel were opened to recognise His beauty and worth.

• The One Who is the Creator of heavenly light is the same One Who is the Pioneer and Perfecter of our faith, and His Word is Faithful and True.

• John explained earlier that IF we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness – which will return us back into fellowship with Him.John also reiterates the command that Christ gave His followers, just before His death: Love as I have loved.

• Mankind was to reverence the Lord, walk in faithful obedience to Him, love Him, and humbly serve Him with all their heart and soul.
• Only believers are imputed with His righteousness which alone can act justly, love faithfulness, and walk humbly before God.
• May we choose to walk in the Spirit today, and in His strength and for His glory, let us act justly, love faithfulness, and walk humbly before God.

• In times of weakness and weariness, he ran for comfort into the loving arms of his faithful Shepherd and in times of spiritual thirst he cried, Lead me to the Rock that is higher than I, for David had proved God’s faithfulness towards His people and that His everlasting mercy is new every morning.

• As a natural vine-branch should bear sweet grapes, so we who are spiritual vine-branches should bear forth the spiritual fruit that comes from our true Vine: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

• In Galatians 5, Pauls presents us with a comprehensive list of spiritual fruit; love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

• History had proved God's faithfulness to His people, but faith believed in His forthcoming protection and anticipated His future help.
• But the Psalmist trusted the whole counsel of God and believed that His future promises of deliverance of His people was faithful and true, although he recognised that he may have to wait for its final fulfilment.

• The vast expanses of the universe and the intricacy of every facet of His creation is a small reflection of God’s loving-kindness and faithfulness towards those that love Him.
• If the One Who flung stars into space also cares for each tiny fledgling sparrow, how much more can we depend upon His love and faithfulness towards us as we pass through life.

• BUT God is faithful and He will not allow any of us to be tempted beyond what we are able to bear, but He will provide the way of escape so that we will be able to endure it.

• Christ's prayer would later expand into intercession for the whole Body of Christ who would come to faith in Him through the word of their testimony and their faithful witness to the truth.

• And God has promised: No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man, and God is faithful and will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able.
• And let us never forget that God is faithful and has promised that He will not allow the temptation to be more than we can bear, but in His grace will provide a way out of it so that we can endure it.

• And we who have trusted in Christ as Saviour and seek to live Spirit-filled godly lives, rejoice with exceeding great joy for the faithful testimony of this little remnant of believing Jews, who were the first to testify of the death, burial, and Resurrection of the Lamb of God Who takes away the sin of the world.
• And through their faithful witness, we who were alienated from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world, might be brought near by the blood of Christ, to the praise and glory of God.

• The Bible had earlier informed us that a pot of manna and Aaran's rod which blossomed and budded, had also been placed inside the Ark, and for many years they remained as a witness and a sign to the people of Israel, that God is faithful and true.

• On that day David discovered that when a child of God confesses their sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

• They are reminded not to be malicious gossips but temperate, self-restrained, and faithful in all things.

• But it was only when he sought God in His holy sanctuary and began to reflect on the unchangeable nature of his faithful God, that Asaph started to understand that his question was founded on his own flawed understanding during a fleeting snap-shot of time, and not secured to the unshakable promises of God that stand fast for ever and ever.

• But now Christ is our merciful and faithful High Priest, for His death tore down the barrier between man and God so that all who believe on His name are born from above, adopted into God's family, are living stones, a spiritual house, and holy priesthood.

• The unchangeable nature of our Saviour, Jesus Christ, is an all-embracing assurance that His Word is faithful, and His promises are true, His saving grace is free to all who trust in Him for salvation, and none of the many precious promises contained in the Word of God can ever fail.

• Following his initial greeting, Paul plunges into praise and thanksgiving to God for the faithful works and loving deeds of the dear believers in Thessalonica, and for their continual anticipation of Christ's return for His people: We know that God loves you, dear brothers, he continues, and that He chose you to be His own people.

• Earlier in this Psalm, we are told not to fret about evil-doers nor to be envious of those that work iniquity, for when our mind is correctly focused on the Lord, then our hearts are not weighed down with the troublesome behaviour of the wicked, nor overwhelmed with the continuous influx of evil in the world.Rather, we are instructed to keep the eyes of our heart upon Jesus Who has promised to carry all our burdens and to comfort us in all our affliction so that we may offer solace to others who are also weighed down by the cares of this world and oppressed by evil-doers.As we change our focus onto the Lord, so our faith in Him is excited within our heart and we are encouraged, by David, to trust in the Lord and do good – to feed on His faithfulness so that we may become strong in the Lord and in His mighty power.

• But in this passage, we discover that it was laid on the heart of the Philippians believers to send some financial assistance to Paul, for which this faithful servant of God was most grateful.

• Enoch was a man who discovered the joy of a close affinity with his Heavenly Father, and for three hundred years we discover that this faithful man walked and talked with the God Whom he loved and trusted, until one day God took him home.

• Indeed, Proverbs tells us: Faithful are the wounds of a friend.
• Faithfulness is a very important criterion for a servant of God, and stewards of God are required to be trustworthy and faithful.
• Paul was not only faithful to God, but to the entire Corinthian church.
• The characteristics that the natural man so values are things like intellect, wealth, position, power, and success, but the attributes that God looks for in His servants is faithfulness to the cause of the gospel, fidelity towards the Lord Jesus, loyalty and devotion to those they serve, and steadfastness in the work with which they have been entrusted.
• There is no more important character trait in a steward or servants than faithfulness in carrying out their duties.
• For a Christian minister like Paul or indeed any servant of Christ, one of the primary qualities that pleases the heart of the Lord is faithfulness, and the man or woman who is faithful in small things will be faithful with greater responsibilities.
• May we never forget that the One who has called us is faithful.
• He will continue to be faithful and He desires each one of His servants to be faithful in the place that He has placed us and with the work with which we have been entrusted.
• May we be faithful stewards, faithful in prayer, faithful in our work, and may we also be faithful to the point of death, so that we may receive His promised Crown of Life.

• There was an urgency in this earnest entreaty, for Paul desired that these faithful Thessalonian believers, and all who trust in Christ for salvation, become shining examples of godly living.

• Great is His faithfulness.

• These faithful and devoted women who had sped eagerly to the tomb that resurrection morning, were encouraged to come and see the place He had lain, before being told to go and tell the other disciples that Jesus had risen from the dead and would meet with them in Galilee in the near future, just as He had already told them! 
• What a ripple of joy, wonder, reverence, and anticipation must have flooded the hearts of each of those faithful women who loved their Lord so deeply.

• It is not saying that only married men can be appointed as elders, but that if a man is married, he must show he is loyal, constant, faithful, and true to his wife, and not be a weak-willed man who is tempted by the lust of the flesh or a roving eye.
• May we each take to heart the need to be above reproach in our words and actions, faithful in all of our relationships and interactions with others and temperate, prudent, respectable, and hospitable, at home and in the wider community.

• Difficult trials and disappointing happenings are used by God to test our trust in Him and to draw us into a deeper dependency upon His faithful provision and His unconditional love.

• That precious promise made to Israel is equally effective today, and that same glorious truth of God's faithfulness to His people can similarly be applied to the New Testament Church of today.
• Let us never forget that though we may prove faithless yet He will remain faithful to His many precious promises.

• Let us approach the throne of grace in humility of heart, for He is faithful to hear and answer the prayers of His children.

• His name is Faithful and True and He is coming in victory to judge the world in righteousness.

• They forgot that it was to remind them of God's ongoing faithfulness to all His creatures, for He was their Creator and He was their Provider.
• The Sabbath was to be a time of refreshment and a time of praise in which to glorify their faithful Creator.

• In Job, we read of a man whose spiritual character and understanding grew when he was placed under extreme pressure, and Israel's king David discovered the trials he faced only served to develop his understanding and appreciation of God's long-suffering faithfulness towards His people.

• The psalmist can joyfully proclaim that the Lord is his stronghold and his stay because he has put his trust in God.Despite the obvious trials and tribulations that are engulfing this old man in so many ways, he is able to testify that the Lord has not only been his continuing support from birth and childhood and throughout his youth, but also that He has remained faithful right on into his senior years.
• He boldly proclaims that nothing can shake his deep trust in his Lord his God and it rejoices his heart to make mention of the Lord's perfect righteousness and His never-failing faithfulness.This man proclaims that God had been his daily support in times past, and he bears witness that into the twilight years of his journey through life, the Lord alone remains his ongoing strength and everlasting song.

• However, it continues with a reminder of God's never-failing faithfulness to His people and uses Abraham to illustrate this truth for we read: When God made the promise to Abraham, since He could swear by no one greater, He swore by Himself.

• From the time he was a young shepherd boy, David loved the Lord with his whole heart and was able to proclaim that the Lord was his strong Protector and faithful Deliverer.
• Were this the only verse describing God’s dependable and faithful character, it would provide us with a great wealth of evidence. 
• David proved that the Lord our God is a faithful God, Who will not let us be tried beyond our ability to endure, but will also provide the way of escape, that we may be able to endure life's problems and pain, and we have all been given that same wonderful promise.
• And were this the only verse in scripture describing God and displaying His dependable and faithful character, what an amazing array of evidence we would have of His dependability and great goodness.

• Such are the character traits we recognise in faithful servants of God like Joseph during his sojourn in Egypt, and prayerful men like Daniel during his time in Babylon.

• Not only does the song of Zacharias express glory and praise to God for Who He is, but it also acknowledges that He is faithful to His covenanted people.

• He is doing this with a faithful few.

• But He sometimes allows the storms to batter our lives, for He wants us to trust Him in all situations and to cast all our cares upon Him so that as we increase in faith, we depend on Him more and more - trusting in His never-failing faithfulness.

• It is changeless and unchangeable, and God is faithful, fair, and no respecter of persons.

• Whether it was seeking refuge from His enemies, in deep repentance for His transgressions, or to worship and glorify God, the foundation upon which the prayer and praises of David rested, was the righteousness, faithfulness, and goodness of God.

• And it is the same faithful God Whose compassion never fails and Whose mercies are new every morning, Who gently whispers 'peace be still' into our stormy hearts.

• Your faithfulness and unfailing love, reaches to the skies.
• His faithfulness does indeed stretch in the heavens.
• His love plunges beyond the bottomless depths of the deepest oceans, and His loving-faithfulness, righteousness, and justice plummet to the very depths of our understanding and extend into the farthest reaches of our limited grasp.
• May we lift our hearts with the psalmist morning by morning and every moment of our transient lives, by raising our voices in joyful thanks and praise, for God's loyal love reaches to the sky, His faithfulness extends beyond the clouds, and His saving grace spans the eternal ages to come.

• And although the northern kingdom of Israel was never brought back to Jerusalem like the southern kingdom of Judah, there has always been a faithful remnant who believed God, and their faith is credited as righteousness.
• Despite its shocking storyline and display of human misery, the grace Hosea showed to his adulterous wife serves as a tiny reminder of the length, and breadth, and depth, and height of God's love towards us and His never-failing faithfulness towards His people; for the day is coming when every promise to Israel, the Church, and all who have trusted Christ as Saviour, will be completed, and Jesus will reign on earth as King of kings and Lord of lords.

• God had proved Himself to be faithful to His people in the past, and they were confident of His continuing goodness and grace towards them.
• Like Israel, we too give grateful thanks and praise to Him for His faithfulness to His children, and we too rejoice in His long-suffering forbearance towards us: His goodness, His grace, and His everlasting mercy.

• It was during all the excitement of John's preaching campaign, that the Lord Jesus came from His hometown of Nazareth - and went in and out among John's faithful followers.

• The fruit of the Spirit is LOVE, which fragments into joy, peace, patient-endurance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control, and these will last forever and ever and into the eternal ages to come, for LOVE NEVER FAILS.

• We discover Psalm 145 has an extra verse, with the 14th letter, a 'nun', inserted in the correct position of verse 14, which declares: The Lord is faithful in all His words and gracious in all His works!

• He is gracious, slow to anger, rich in faithful love, and He will not abandon those that are struggling.

• And as the day of His crucifixion drew ever closer (when He would offer Himself up as Israel's Passover Lamb and the Sin-Sacrifice for the whole world), Jesus began to prepare His little band of faithful disciples for the reality of His God-ordained mission.
• And His little band of faithful followers would have to be spiritually prepared for the time of their post-Cross ministry, which was fast-approaching.

• Let us remember that God's loving faithfulness and sovereign power is the same yesterday, today, and forever, and let us seek to depend on Him and trust His promises, no matter what we have to face in this life.

• From the time he faced Goliath as a lad, to the day he 'slept with his fathers and was buried in Jerusalem', we trace David's faith developing, growing, and maturing into a man who died knowing that God is faithful to keep His Word.
• His past faithfulness proves His continued constancy and never-failing fidelity.
• He has proved Himself to be our faithful God, the anchor of our Soul, our never failing Helper, and the Sustainer of our soul.

• As Paul wrote in his first letter to Timothy: This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners.

• A promise was given to the faithful little remnant in Thyatira, who listened to His voice, obeyed His instruction, and held on to what they had: To the one who overcomes, I will give His power over the nations.
• That promise is still open today to all the faithful of God who hold on to what we have, until Christ's returns for His Church, when He comes in the clouds and takes us to be with Himself, forever.

• He had witnessed God's faithfulness on many occasions and David trusted in the Lord's deliverance, when his own, frail heart was fainting... from fear of what was coming on the earth.

• He fulfilled all the righteous requirements of the Law which equipped Him to be man's merciful and faithful High Priest.
• He had to be made like us so that He might become a merciful and faithful High Priest in things pertaining to God, which was to die for our sin and take the punishment that we deserve.

• And like Him, our life is to be a testimony to His faithfulness – for it is as we run the race that is set before us, with patient endurance and a determination to do all to the glory of God, that we will also fight the good fight of faith and take hold of the eternal life to which we are all called – so that with Timothy and a great cloud of saints, we too may ensure a good confession in the presence of many witnesses.

• Secondly, we have been given the indwelling Holy Spirit of promise in our heart, as a pledge and guarantee of God's everlasting faithfulness to His promises.

• Let us also rejoice that even on those days when our faith wears thin and we lose heart, HE always remains faithful, His right hand always supports us, and the satisfaction that comes from Him fulfils us completely.

• In their glorious song, they confess that God is faithful and true, and that His mercy stretches from one generation to another.

• Jesus used this analogy of lost, needy sheep and a good, faithful shepherd many times.

• However, the story of Deborah is not about women or gender - but about God and His faithfulness to His people, Israel.
• May we fulfil God's call on our life with the same resourcefulness and faithfulness as this great woman of God.

• His faithful followers, who obeyed His instruction to wait in Jerusalem for the Promise of the Father were gloriously baptised by the Spirit of God into the Body of Christ, which is the Church.

• But like us, if he confessed his sin, God was faithful and just to forgive him his sin and cleanse him from all unrighteousness - for God is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
• This faithful man's earthly walk with God depicts the type of life that each child of God should seek to emulate.
• Let us be faithful in prayer and let us be diligent to live a life of faith and to walk in spirit and truth with our heavenly Father.

• How important to trust the faithfulness of our Heavenly Father Whose promises toward His nation of Israel will one day be finally and forever fulfilled and His promises toward His Church will never fail, for are all 'Yes' and 'Amen' in Christ Jesus, our Lord.

• There were things that were good in the church at Thyatira and there were men who were faithful to the Lord... but there was much that was unbiblical and many of their members entered into immorality and idolatry - having a form of godliness and yet denying the Lord Who bought them.
• But we discover a faithful remnant within this church who had not been seduced into their ungodly philosophies, nor initiated into the secret doctrines or esoteric traditions of this religious system.
• To the one who overcomes, and keeps My deeds until the end, I will give authority over the nations, was the precious promise that the Lord Jesus gave to that faithful little flock, in the church at Thyatira.

• God was angry with Israel and postponed their entrance into Canaan for 40 years until all but two of God's faithful servants, Joshua and Caleb, remained alive.
• We are, however, required to be faithful servants who heed the Word of God and steadfastly work the works of God in the place to which He has called us.

• He often referred to his own suffering and difficulties as a living example of a faithful soldier, a diligent farmer, or a long-distance runner who is required to press on to the goal of their calling no matter what difficulty, dangers, suffering, or abuse they may receive.
• The unity of the saints and the oneness of the Body of Christ were essential elements of Paul's teaching, and so he encouraged Timothy to be a good and faithful servant; approved of God in the day of trouble.

• It appears that Christ's ministry began at the very point that His faithful forerunner, John the Baptist, was flung into prison by king Herod after which he was brutally beheaded.

• Mary was one of a faithful remnant of Israel, who for 400 silent years had been awaiting the arrival of their prophesied Saviour.

• May we be faithful soldiers and servants to our lives' end.

• God had been faithful to His people by bringing them back to their land at the time He promised, with sufficient wealth to re-establish themselves there and restore their relationship with God.

• As the time for Christ's crucifixion drew ever closer, Jesus started to disclose certain things to His few, faithful followers that would shortly come to pass: These things I have spoken to you that you might have joy.

• He reminded God of His promises that had been given to Israel and of the everlasting faithfulness of the Lord towards His people.

• But Gideon was faithful to the Lord and during his 40-year long leadership, Israel enjoyed peace and safety.

• Two of the Baptist's faithful followers who were standing with John that day, decided to follow after the Lord Jesus.

• There may be times when we fail to abide in Christ and wander far from the Lord... but even when we are faithless He remains faithful, for He cannot deny His promises to us - He cannot deny His Word.

• No doubt she recalled his warning that a sword would one day pierce her own soul, to the end that the thoughts from many hearts may be revealed.While still not yet fully comprehending the deeper and eternal significance of Christ's redeeming work, His mother and John must have been standing among the mocking crowd and cruel soldiers together with a few faithful followers, who loved Him dearly.

• Proverbs reminds us that faithful are the wounds of a friend, and whether we are giving Christian counsel to a brother who has strayed from the narrow path or receiving a righteous rebuke from a concerned brother in Christ, it should be carried out in love or recognised as a restorative nudge from the Lord, Himself.

• While Paul gives a resounding call to patient endurance in life's difficulties, purity in personal conduct, and faithfulness in Christian ministry, he is equally eager to warn us of perilous times ahead, the ploys of the enemy to shipwreck our faith, and the insidious dangers of false teachers.

• The special interest and intricate care that God places on the beautiful adornment of a wild wayside flower, which blossoms today, but tomorrow quickly fades and is cast into the oven and burnt in the noonday sun, should create in us a confident trust in God's faithful provision for each of His children.
• It is unbelief that deposes faith in His Word and it is worry that dislodges a simple dependence on God as our faithful Provider.

• The exact attribute of the eternal Father of Old Testament Scripture is ascribed to the Lord Jesus Whom John describes as Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. God the Father made it clear to Moses, Isaiah, and other holy men of God that He alone is the first and He is the last, the beginning and the end, and that no other God is equal with Him: Before Me, there was no God formed, is Isaiah's great pronouncement from Yahweh, and there will be none after Me! And yet Jesus, the second person of the Trinity, was able to pronounce in this verse, I am the Alpha and the Omega, says the Lord God, Who is and Who was and Who is to come, the Almighty.Jesus, the virgin-born Seed of the woman and second Person of the Trinity, rightfully claims equality with the Father, for He is the visible image of the invisible, triune God, sent by the Father to shed His perfect, human blood as the single, sacrificial offering for the sin of the world so that whosoever believes in Him would not perish but have everlasting life. 

• The Lord instructed His faithful prophet, Hosea, to marry an unfaithful woman.

• It is not the 'positive declaration' that has become the hallmark of so many prosperity teachers, but an unshakable trust in God's faithfulness to fulfil His Word.
• May we use every obstacle we face as an opportunity to exercise our faith in Him and use every stumbling block in our path as a springboard in developing our faith in our ever-faithful God.

• He recalled God's faithfulness in delivering them out of the hands of many enemies.
• He exhorted them to obey the Law, resist idolatry, and trust in the Lord - their faithful God Who brought them out of the land of Egypt.
• They were to remember His faithfulness and to circumcise their hearts, for He had shown great mercy and faithfulness to His people despite their waywardness.

• Throughout Israel's history, there has always been a faithful remnant who stood firm on the Word of God and trusted His plan of salvation, and from chapter 40, we discover words of comfort and droplets of hope.
• The little remnant of faithful men and women were well aware that the nation of Israel would have to suffer captivity and be dispersed from their homeland, because of the sin of their fathers and the people's continued apostasy.

• Unbeknown to all the characters in the story, God had permitted Satan to afflict His faithful servant, as a test of Job's unshakable commitment to his God.

• They had been returned to their homeland by their faithful God... and yet they had not paid heed to their priorities and responsibilities to the Lord.

• He had manifested God's holy Name to His little band of faithful followers and finished the work the Father had given Him to do.

• As Christians, we are dead to sin and alive to Christ, and Paul encourages all believers to take this important truth to heart and reckon it to be so: Reckon yourselves to be dead to sin and reckon yourselves to be alive to God in Christ Jesus.This instruction from Paul is based on the faithful, unchanging, and unalterable Word of God.

• The entire nation of Israel had to be punished as this was one of His covenant conditions, but there is a wonderful hope for the faithful remnant who hold fast to His Word and trust His plan.

• Fellowship with the Father is incompatible with sin - but if we confess our sin, God is faithful and just to forgive us our sin and cleanse us from ALL unrighteousness.

• Let us take comfort that the Lord is our faithful and loving God Who will never fail us nor forsake us.

• The covenant was conditional and contained promises of blessings for faithfulness and a devotion to God, but gave warning of cursing for lack of faithfulness, neglect of God, and unbelief in His Word.
• What we discover is a steadfast God Who, through time and into eternity, is faithful to His Word.
• May we lift up our voices in praise and thanksgiving that He is the unchanging and unchangeable God Who is faithful and true, long-suffering, of great mercy, and Who changes not.

• A vital aspect of the Christian life is recognising that we are all sinners and acknowledging that we fall short of the glory of God - that we all need forgiveness of our sin for the salvation of our soul and union with Christ, but we also need to ask for forgiveness when we fall short in our Christian life - for if we confess our sin He is faithful and just to forgive us our sin and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 
• When fellowship is broken through sin or self, it needs to be restored as soon as possible, and if we confess our sin He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness – thus restoring us back into sweet communion with the Father.

• He was faithful to his calling, yet had to endure an onslaught of mocking, loneliness, imprisonment, and rejection.

• And the God Who showed His faithfulness to Israel in Egypt, is the same God Who has rescued us from Satan's cruel bondage.

• David found courage to pray his prayer to the Almighty God Who had proved faithful and true throughout past generations: Now, O Lord GOD, David continued, You are God, and Your words are truth, and You have promised this good thing to Your servant.

• I wonder what ran through the minds of each of those faithful women who loved the Lord so much that they sped with haste to the tomb that Resurrection morning, expecting to find a dead Christ, but when looking up: They saw that the stone had been rolled away, although it was extremely large.

• Gifts must flow from the fruit of the Spirit, which is rooted in LOVE and which overspills into joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faithfulness, meekness, and self-control.

• He confessed the sins they had committed and recognised they were not worthy of God's grace and deliverance, but his prayer was founded on the holy name and the unchanging faithfulness of God towards His people and he wept, Do not delay, because YOUR city and YOUR people are called by YOUR HOLY NAME.

• They even tried slandering Nehemiah in a letter to the king, but due to his determination and his faithful group of builders, the city wall was finished and its various gates were finally reconstructed.

• God is faithful to His Word, His character is true, His righteousness stands fast for ever, and His plan of redemption continues to unfold.

• Let us in the power of His Holy Spirit, seek to develop that childlike disposition that is birthed from simple trust in His faithful Word, for both here on earth and in His eternal kingdom, the life that reflects the Lord Jesus is the child of God that gives glory to the Father.

• Following the fall, mankind had a sinful nature and continuously rebelled against the Lord, but He purposed to call one faithful man through whom the world would be blessed.
• There were times when Abraham was faithful in his walk of faith and other times when he was disobedient, but God's promise to this man was unconditional.
• This passage reminds us of the tremendous provision and faithfulness of God.
• He is always faithful to His Word and He will give us what He has promised.
• He is our faithful Father, and His love for us is never ending.
• Let us take heart from this passage and trust that God will be faithful to His promises.

• Often we read of the foolishness, fretfulness, disobedience, and rebellion of sinful man, but then in contrast we read of the faithfulness, graciousness, and long-suffering of the Lord.

• Unlike some other followers of Christ, this man of whom the apostle John spoke so warmly was being a faithful witness to the truth of the gospel, and he was walking in spirit and truth.

• If a child of God sins, then fellowship with our Heavenly Father is broken - BUT if we confess our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 
• God is faithful and just to forgive His children their sins and to cleanse us once more, when we admit our faults.

• Simeon is an example of a faithful man that walked with God.

• We should remember that praying for ministries and ministers is a great privilege as well as needful, as the prayers of faith mingle with the faithful work of others, for the glory of God and the salvation of souls.

• Faithfulness to God would result in many blessings for His covenant people, but disobedience would result in the entire Nation being cursed and scattered.
• And as the people of God, the Lord promised to bless their faithfulness but warned that He would punish any unfaithfulness.
• A faithful steward who lives a life of trust in God will be rewarded with gold, silver, or precious stones, while one that produces works of the flesh will suffer the loss of reward.
• Praise God, that even when we are weak and our faith fails, He remains faithful, for His Word is true and He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself.

• Indeed, Jesus proclaimed that there was no greater prophet born to woman than John, His unassuming and faithful forerunner.
• It appears to be God's will that Christ did not begin His ministry in earnest until John was removed from the scene... for like each one of us... Jesus had to learn humility and obedience by the things that He suffered - and no doubt, the unjust arrest and cruel execution of His faithful forerunner must have caused our Saviour much heartache.

• What an amazing day it must have been when the fledgling Church was born with those 120 faithful disciples who obeyed Christ's command.

• He was God's friend and faithful servant who led the Israelites out of Egypt following the first Passover meal, when the angel of death slaughtered the first-born of Egypt.
• Despite the enormously high regard Israel had for Moses, and in spite of the deep respect they felt for the archangel Michael and the angelic hosts of heaven, the writer of Hebrews wanted to impress his readers that Jesus is superior to Moses, greater than all angels, and the final authority to come to man, from God, for Christ was faithful over His own Father's house as a Son.
• Moses may have been a faithful servant in his work for the Lord, but Christ built everything.
• May our lives bear witness that we truly are the household of God, by remaining faithful to our life's end, knowing that this will give honour and glory to our Heavenly Lord.

• Like us, they knew that the Lord is faithful to hear our needy prayer and quick to answer our pitiful cries for help.

• The various trials and tribulations they faced are catalogued in breath-taking detail, but most of these heroes of the faith remain an unidentified 'cloud of faithful witnesses'.
• The blessings these faithful folk in Hebrews 11 are to enjoy, are still future, for their blessings are to flow to them through the Person of JESUS, His Office and His Ministry, His death on the Cross, His resurrected life, and His victory over Satan, sin, death, and hell. 
• His faithfulness lasts from one generation to another and His promises are all 'yes' and 'amen' in Christ Jesus our Lord, both for this cloud of faithful witnesses and for every member of the Body of Christ, the Church. 

• They testified to the truth that Paul's imprisonment and all the problems that this had caused to him and others, was a wonderful tribute to the Lord Jesus and evidence of God's faithfulness towards his servant, for many in the palace guard and elsewhere had come to faith in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins and life everlasting.

• It was not long after his first letter to them that Paul received news of the Thessalonian Christians from a trusted contact. He was blessed to hear the good news that they were growing in grace and remaining faithful to the truth, despite the severe persecution they were facing.

• Two further interpretations portray the Shulamite woman as the little faithful remnant of Israel who stays true to her first love, the true Shepherd of Israel.
• The former portrays Solomon as a type of Christ pursuing His Gentile Bride (the other sheep He has from a different sheepfold), while the latter pictures Jesus as the absent Shepherd of Israel Who will one day return to the faithful little remnant of the lost sheep of the House of Israel.

• But when our thoughts fly to the stability and grace of our Father in heaven; when we meditate upon His faithfulness, contemplate His wonderful grace, and reflect upon His Word of truth, we discover that our heart is resting on the sure foundation of peace and hope.We can keep our thoughts secret from other men, for no one can truly know the inner reflections of our mind, but the Lord looks on the heart and the Lord knows the thoughts that pass through our minds, both good and evil.

• On that first Day of Pentecost, these faithful followers were baptised into the Body of Christ, in fulfilment of His own words together with John the Baptist's stirring prophecy: I baptise you with water, but One is coming Who is more powerful than I.

• Daniel believed God's Word because the Lord is faithful; He is holy, and righteous, and forgiving, and gracious, and merciful, and loving, and kind, and true.

• Although we have no tangible evidence of our future hope, nevertheless we accept it by faith because God has spoken in His Word, and God is faithful to His Word for God has even set His Word above His holy name.

• These faithful women witnessed an angel of the Lord descend from heaven, in the midst of a severe earthquake.

• May we lift our voices in praise to the Lord, for His mercies are new every morning, for He is forever faithful and His love endures forever.

• His weight of suffering was a refining ministry that the Lord had permitted to overtake His faithful servant, with a purpose in view.

• Every one of His children has work to do, and what a thrill when we fulfil all His council and hear Him say, well done good and faithful servant.
• David was a faithful servant who prayed that the Lord would grant the people of God their heart's desires and fulfil all that God purposed in their lives.

• He longs for a people who are genuine, faithful, merciful, and who desire to carry out His will in their lives.

• It is a catalogue of men and women, named and unnamed, that stand as witnesses to lives that honoured the Lord – men like Abraham who looked for a city whose Builder and Maker is God; women like Sarah who considered God was faithful to keep His promise.
• They are called a great cloud of witnesses, and indeed their lives demonstrate a trust in God that stands as a wonderful testimony to the faithfulness of God in their lives, and a great encouragement for us to run the race that lies before us, and press on for the high call of God as we look to Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith Who endured the Cross for our sake: Therefore, we are exhorted, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.

• They failed their test of faithfulness and integrity.

• It was amidst all the celebration, as they looked back on God's faithfulness and forward to the future fulfilment of His Promise, that Jesus delivered this pleading invitation to the nation of Israel to come and drink of the Living Water.

• Their day by day hope in God was secured to the Rock of their salvation and His faithfulness to complete the good work that He had started in each of their lives.

• He calls out to the Lord to hear his prayer, to pay heed to his supplication, and to answer him according to His faithfulness, for the psalmist knows that the Lord is faithful and will answer him in His righteousness.
• We have a God Who is faithful in His righteousness.
• Whether we are seeking the Lord with all our hearts or urgently crying to Him for pity, He is a good and gracious God and is faithful and just to answer all our cries.
• Let us, like David, put our entire trust in the Lord and open our ears morning by morning, to hear of His loving-kindness and to joyfully sing of His never-ending faithfulness.

• Taking the baby Jesus in his arms, Simeon rejoiced in his heart, blessed the Lord, and was moved to utter a magnificent psalm of praise, extolling God for His faithfulness in keeping His promise to Israel.

• Christ's detailed 'Olivet discourse' must have caused His disciples much confusion and concern, but He finally finished His teaching by reminding His faithful followers of certain things, about which He had already warned them: You know that after two days the Passover is coming, and the Son of Man will be delivered up to be crucified.

• What a glorious hymn of praise David penned, for though originally written to rejoice in the everlasting faithfulness of the Lord towards His people, Israel, this beautiful verse is as relevant today for the Church.

• Both the Pillar of Cloud by day and the Pillar of Fire by night, represented an ever-present and constant reminder of God's glorious presence with His people and His faithfulness towards them.

• But as Abraham stretched out his hand for the knife, God called from heaven and graciously prevented him from killing his son, and reiterated His incredible promises to this faithful servant. 

• And although God remained faithful, long-suffering, and full of loving-kindness towards His chosen people, they became unfaithful, blasphemed His name, ignored His commands, refused to trust His Word, and fell into shocking idolatry and apostasy.

• God is faithful to His people, Israel, even when they go astray and despite their prolonged rebellion against their long-suffering, covenant-keeping God.
• He remains faithful to His erring children for He promised to send a Kinsman-Redeemer Who would save His people from their sins.

• He was hated by many and attacked on all sides, but David had trusted God from his childhood and had proved the Lord to be faithful to His Word.
• GOD FORBID, that David's beautiful demonstration of trust in God... when he declared the Lord's faithfulness in fulfilling all His precious promises, by proclaiming the biblical truths, be used to support the unbiblical, and heretical Word of Faith teachings!

• However, God is faithful to His people and we read that the strength of this idol shepherd will be terminated.
• Let us not fix our eyes on the Antichrist, but on Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith, our blessed Saviour, the true and faithful Shepherd of His sheep.

• Although He was rejected at His first coming, this magnificent song of praise and thanksgiving that rejoices in his never-failing faithfulness throughout the generations and which glories in His return, will resound throughout the whole earth as Israel gathers to welcome their King.
• They will rejoice in God's unfailing faithfulness and extol the name of the Lord.

• Paul does not consider himself a captive of Rome, but a prisoner of Christ and ambassador of heaven carrying out his assigned duty as a good and faithful servant; joyful in the knowledge that he is fulfilling God's will for his life.

• Such comforting words provide solace for the soul and inject the will to press on, knowing that God is gracious and faithful and He will avenge His people and protect us under the shadow of His wing.

• God's covenant with Abraham was unconditional, but the covenant with the nation of Israel depended upon their faithfulness.
• He was to be honoured through their lives and they were to share the good news of God's love and faithfulness to the nations.
• But the God of Israel is infinitely wise and gloriously faithful to His people, and although in His great omniscience He knew they would fail to keep their part of the covenant with Him, He had foreordained that He would one day send His only begotten Son to pay the price for their rebellious failure and multitude of sins.

• We need to grab a promise and hold on to that promise, knowing that we have a wonderful and faithful God Who has promised to be with us in all the twists and turns of life.

• Finally, Moses handed the reins of leadership to Joshua, the son of Nun, and the day came when he blessed the people of Israel and went up to the top of Mount Nebo, in Moab, where this faithful servant of the Lord died.

• Like Moses, he reminded the people of the faithfulness of their God, despite the apostasy of the first generation of Israelites who died in the wilderness.
• God has remained faithful and just throughout the generations.
• He remembered the solemn covenant that the Lord made with His people, and Joshua wanted to instil in their hearts the goodness, faithfulness, and long-suffering of their Creator God and gracious Saviour.
• You know with all your heart and inner being, that not even one of all the faithful promises the Lord your God made to you has been left unfulfilled.
• Praise God that despite our many faults and failures, we know in our heart that the Lord is faithful and that not one of the good Words that He has spoken has ever failed - nor can ever they fail - for the Word of the LORD is tested and true.

• Israel rebelled against God's truth and treated His faithful servant abominably, but Jeremiah found hope and comfort in God's Word and was able to say amidst severe persecution and trial: Your words were found and I did eat them.

• Her yearning was to worship at the feet of the one and only God Who had proved His faithfulness to her despite her many misfortunes, and so she firmly rejected forever the idols of wood and stone that she had grown up with in her childhood in Moab.

• There is much in chapter 31 that gave great hope and encouragement to the little remnant of faithful Israel, but right in the middle of the chapter, Jeremiah contrasts the shocking time when Judah's sister nation, the house of Israel, was brutally taken into captivity by the savage Assyrians: Thus says the Lord, a voice is heard in Ramah.

• It means living godly in Christ Jesus as we obey His Word and maintain fellowship with the Father through the regular confession of our sin: For if we confess our sin God is faithful and just to forgive us our sin and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

• Rather, they were encouraged to be faithful - even to the point of death - and were reminded that Christ, Who died and was risen, had already secured for them eternal life.
• What encouragement to discover that enduring suffering and faithfulness to the point of death, would also secure for them the coveted Crown-of-Life - which the Lord has promised to all that love Him.
• May we be those who are faithful to our calling and heed the words of Jesus, Be faithful until death, and I will give you the Crown-of-Life.

• And God Who examines the heart, recognised in him as a man of integrity, faithfulness, and moral character with a trusting and obedient heart.
• He is a great example of a man with a teachable spirit, whose heart is quick to repent; a loyal, faithful and obedient heart that is set apart unto God and delights to do His will.
• May we be willing servants who are quick to confess our sins; faithful to obey His commands; obedient to trust His word, walk in spirit and truth, and day by day continue to look to Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith.

• It is the witness of the written Word which unveils God's amazing grace, His great mercy, His unconditional love, and His never-failing faithfulness to the children of men.

• What a testimony to the faithful foundational work of Lois and Eunice who knew the value of bringing up children in the ways of the Lord so that when they are grown-up, they will not depart from it.

• This is a verse about the foolishness of worry and the faithfulness of God as our gracious Provider, but too often we worry about the things in this life.

• His Word is imperishable and powerful, for the Word of God is living, enduring, incorruptible, faithful, and sharper that any two-edged sword.

• The marriage of righteous Hosea to his adulterous wife is an amazing illustration of Israel's apostasy and God's faithfulness towards them.
• It beautifully contrasts Hosea's godly love and steadfast faithfulness with his wife's rebellious, ungodly adultery.
• May we observe kindness and justice as we fix the eyes of our heart continuously upon the Lord Jesus Christ, our faithful God and gracious Saviour.

• God was His hiding place Who preserved Him from trouble, and because we are IN Christ, we can also sing songs of deliverance for God's faithfulness and favour towards us.

• But the Lord understood the deep depression that His faithful disciples were going through, and so He gave them mighty words of comfort and encouragement.

• He had already appeared to many believers after His Resurrection, one here, a couple there, and one occasion He showed Himself to 500 at one time, but ten days after He ascended to heaven on that special feast of Pentecost, 120 faithful followers were waiting together for the momentous occasion when Christ would baptise them with the Holy Spirit.

• Joshua was one of 2 people who did not die in the wilderness following Israel's escape from Egypt, because he was faithful and trusted the Word of the Lord.

• From his early years, when he tended his father's flock... to his dying days as the shepherd-king of Israel, David was a man who proved the Lord to be a faithful God, Whose Word was to be trusted.

• Though weeping endured for a night, what joy must have filled the heart of those faithful women when, very early in the morning, they saw that the very large stone had been rolled away, and discovered the empty tomb.
• Don't Be Afraid, He Is Risen, are words that we should reflect upon in our heart by faith with thanksgiving, until we are flooded with the thrilling joy that must have been the experience of those faithful women... 2000 years ago.

• Paul's apostolic ministry is an example for us all to emulate, and in this verse he explained the reason he had to undergo the different troubles and trials he listed; Paul was faithful to lift up the name of Jesus and preach the gospel of Christ, which is an offence to the world: For the word of the Cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

• He was encouraged to stir up his spiritual gift and to fan it into a burning flame of effective ministry and faithfulness to his calling.

• Each place they passed gives glimpses into God's gracious character and faithfulness towards His people, while also acting as a warning, an example, and an admonishment to us all.

• Jesus began to unfold the books of Moses, all the prophetic teachings, and the meaning of the psalms, to these two of His faithful followers... and the veil that shrouded the minds, of these travellers on the road to Emmaus, was lifted, as Christ Himself opened to them ALL the Scriptures concerning Himself.

• Disciples are those that are enabled, by the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit, to produce spiritual fruit like love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. This fruit is only produced through a life of obedience, a life that abides in Christ, a life where Christ is permitted to abide in us.

• How essential that our faith is anchored to the wisdom, the power, the promises, and the faithfulness of God - Who deserves our undying honour and grateful thanks.

• The Lord is faithful and true to the precepts and promises that He has made to those that trust in His holy name.
• But those that trust in His holy name discover Him to be faithful, trustworthy, long-suffering, and of great goodness.

• The Word of the Lord is sure and every prophetic pronouncement in the Scriptures has or will reach its ultimate fulfilment in Christ, for God's Word is sure, His faithfulness is everlasting, His truth endures from one generation to the next, and His promises are 'yes' and 'amen' in Christ Jesus our Lord.

• Here, the Lord Jesus expands this truth further by telling them that the Holy Spirit will be their great Teacher and teach them all things, and that He would also bring back to their remembrance all that Christ Himself had taught His faithful followers so that they in turn could teach others.

• May we be as faithful in our generation in warning to lost of their need of Christ as Zechariah was when he warned apostate Israel, Behold, a day of the Lord is coming, when all you own will be taken from you, and divided in front of you.

• He also began in earnest to prepare His few, faithful followers for His fast approaching death and Resurrection, and for their forthcoming ministry as the foundational apostles and prophets of the Church.

• Before he died, Moses taught the people of Israel 'The Song of Moses', to help them remember the goodness and faithfulness of God towards His people.
• Moses had led the people for nearly forty years and had proved God was faithful to them, while witnessing the petulance of the people, and so he opened his song by calling on heaven and earth to be witness to his words, which were honest and true, like droplets on the fresh grass and showers on a herb-garden.
• He opened his dialogue proclaiming the greatness of God to be 'The Rock', Whose work is perfect, Whose ways are true, and Who is faithful, righteous, upright, and without prejudice.

• Indeed, as we witness the faithfulness of God in the difficult struggles of life and experience His tender mercies in the painful circumstances through which we must inevitably pass, our love for God can only deepen and strengthen - as we grow in grace and in a knowledge of Him.

• He had revealed Who He was to His faithful followers, and was shortly to go to the Cross to finish the redemptive work that God had determined for Him to do so that by faith in Him, lost sinners might be redeemed from the pit and changed into saved saints with an eternal inheritance.
• His faithful followers were to remain in the world and continue the work that Jesus Himself had begun; a ministry of reconciliation.

• But if a Christian confesses their sins, God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
• But if we take every thought captive to Christ, walk in the light as He is in the light, and if we confess any sinful acts and attitudes (whether they be wrong things that we have done or godly things that we have not done) God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, to cleanse us from all unrighteousness, and to remember our sin no more.

• And John reminds us: If we confess our sins, God is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sin and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. And David did just that.

• I wonder if these same two Jewish men who received their sight would become two faithful witnesses to the truth, that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God, and that in Him are the words of eternal life.

• But although few in number, there has always been a remnant of Israel that has remained faithful to the God of their fathers. 

• How important, therefore, to examine ourselves to see if we are living by faith, walking in spirit, appropriating His truth, praying without ceasing, giving thanks in all things, trusting God's Word, and depending on His faithfulness in all things.

• Malachi is the last book of the Old Testament, and at the very end of his writings, just before 400 years of silent prophetic voices in Israel, we discover a tiny trace of blessing in his writings and a future hope for the little remnant of faithful Israel, while terrible judgement is the bitter chalice the wicked will have to drink:
• He pledged to restore the faithful who feared the Lord and meditated on His Word.

• Cheerful giving that proceeds from a heart that loves to do the will of the Lord in spirit and in truth is applauded while a gift that is given grudgingly, comes from a heart that has misunderstood the true purpose of giving and which sadly misses the blessings that stream into the life of a faithful and true disciple of the Lord.

• He reveals that blessings are reserved for the faithful few who honour the Lord and look, with expectation, for the coming 'Consolation of Israel'.
• The faithful few are urged to remember the instructions, statutes, and ordinances of Moses.

• And praise God that even if we falter in our faith or fail in our witness, He remains faithful to the promises He has made to His blood-bought children, for He cannot deny Himself.

• David is grieved at the profane acts and futile vanity of the sons of men who dishonour God and blaspheme His holy name, but he also rejoices that the Lord has set apart for Himself those that are godly, those who honour His name, obey His Word, and trust in His unfailing faithfulness.

• Christ's faithfulness in carrying out His Heavenly Father's business is unsurpassed by great prophets like Moses, unmatched by distinguished high priests like Aaron, and unrivalled by celebrated kings like David or Solomon.
• He is the master-builder of the universe and while these others illustrious men were God's faithful servants, Christ Jesus is the Son of the most High God, and we are safe and secure in His care.

• When we consider the mystery that was hidden from ages and generations, but which has now been made known to us, should we not trust our faithful God in all things, and follow His command to love one another in the power of the Spirit, Who works within us all?

• How the Psalmist loves to praise the holy and awesome name of Lord, and this is a psalm that bathes in the splendour and majesty of the great works of God's hand, the glories of His eternal righteousness, the faithfulness of His gracious provision, the power of His mighty hand, and the everlasting covenant which He has graciously made with His people, Israel.

• But as we compare the chequered history of Israel with the never-failing faithfulness of God, there are many lessons we can learn from their behaviour, and many pitfalls we should avoid.
• One priceless thing that rejoices our soul is the utter faithfulness of God to His people.

• Even when we turn from our Lord, leave our first love, or are unfaithful towards Him - HE remains faithful to His promises, for God cannot deny Himself.

• However, he also provides numerous examples of God's gracious compassion and mercy towards His covenant people, and many passages paint a precious picture of the Lord's faithfulness towards His people, which must have been so comforting for the tiny remnant of believers that remained steadfast.

• The hand of God rested on this faithful and godly man because he set his heart to study the law of the LORD.

• In the same way that Christ's delight was to do the will of His Father, so we should be enamoured with the Lord Jesus, that no one is more important in our life than Him, and nothing is of greater significance than gaining a deeper knowledge of Him, obeying His Word, doing His will, and remaining faithful in the task He has given us to do.

• God has so often been portrayed as the faithful Shepherd of His people, and in his prayer to the holy One of Israel, Micah is asking the Lord to continue to feed His flock and to graciously shepherd His chosen people.
• Yes, the Lord is indeed the good and faithful Shepherd of His people Who willingly gave His life for the sheep, and we discover Micah praying into these precious promises on behalf of the nation of Israel.
• He came to His own people as the good and faithful Shepherd Who gives His life for the sheep.

• Despite their rebellion God is faithful to His people, and one day Israel will cry out: Blessed is He Who comes in the name of the Lord, and they will declare: The Lord has done this, and it is marvellous in our eyes.

• In the midst of this weeping prophet's sharp accusations and strong condemnation of the idolatry of Israel, who had turned from their faithful God to idols, we discover a refreshing oasis: Blessed is the man that puts his trust in the Lord, for he will be like a well-watered tree, who is refreshed and rejuvenated in the streams of living water.
• This refreshment only flows from our faithful God.
• And there is a message of hope for all who trust in the Lord Jesus Christ as Saviour: that even when we are faithless He remains faithful, and that when we are weak and fail Him, He remains strong and His love and grace towards us is never changing.
• Great is His faithfulness.

• They should be ready to pass on their wisdom to younger women and act as an example to emulate, encouraging them to be good wives and wise mothers, to be sensible, pure, industrious, kind, and faithful.

• And no matter what difficulties, dangers, or 'thorns' we may encounter as we journey through life, may we do justly, love mercy, and walk humbly before our God so that our lives may be a living sacrifice to Him, and a faithful testament of His sufficient grace.

• Great is His faithfulness.

• But God is faithful to His people, and His mercies are new every morning.

• No doubt, as she stood quietly weeping and faithfully waiting throughout the entire ordeal, she would have recalled her visit to the Temple when the Christ Child was 10 days old and she met Anna the old prophetess, and Simeon, the faithful old man who was waiting for the consolation of Israel, who blessed them and said to her, Behold, this Child is appointed for the fall and rise of many in Israel, and for a sign to be opposed, and a sword will pierce even your own soul, to the end that thoughts from many hearts may be revealed.

• How vital to identify sins of omission or sins or commission and to confess these faults to our Heavenly Father, knowing that if we confess our sin He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to keep on cleansing us from all unrighteousness.

• God revealed the king's dream to His faithful servant, Daniel, who was a noble young man who had been captured during the Babylonian invasion of the beautiful Land of Israel.

• this faithful apostle knew in his heart that it was to everyone's advantage for him to remain on earth and to finish the good work that God had prepared for him to do.

• But like Jeremiah, we must remain faithful to our calling during our sojourn on earth.
• Jeremiah was a good and faithful servant in the ministry to which he was called.
• May we also remain good and faithful servants in the work that God has given us to do.

• There has always been a faithful remnant in Israel, despite the nation's gross apostasy, and this verse rehearses the earnest longing of the faithful few who cry out to the Lord, day and night, for deliverance and justice.
• At night, my soul longs for You, are the pleading cries of His faithful servants, indeed, my spirit within me seeks You diligently.

• He is the Faithful Witness Who has been uniquely appointed King of kings and Ruler of the ends of the earth.
• Our heavenly Lord was clad in judicial robes of righteousness and the sight of Him was so majestic and awe-inspiring that it caused this faithful disciple to fall at His feet as if he were dead.

• The truths of God's never-failing faithfulness, that are contained in His redemptive plan for Israel are equally pertinent for the Church today.

• But Paul knew that while there was still life in his body, his work on earth was not complete, and much of that work was striving to keep fellow believers faithful to the fundamentals of the Word of truth, contending earnestly for the gospel of grace and withstanding those that would distort the Word of God.

• As he sat in his dark dungeon waiting for his execution, Paul wanted to impress on Timothy the important responsibility that now lay on his shoulders, and on the shoulders of those other faithful servants of God.
• In his letter to the Philippians, he explained the joy that such self-sacrifice brings to the faithful servant of God: For even if I am being poured out as a drink offering upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, he explained, I rejoice and share my joy with you all.

• Despite God's faithfulness to them in bringing them out of Egyptian slavery and the promises He gave them, ten of the spies were filled with fear and said that it was far beyond their ability to defeat the terrible enemies in Canaan.
• Only Caleb and Joshua, the two faithful spies who believed God's Word and told Israel that they could certainly take the Land with God's help, were permitted to enter the Land 40 years later, along with a new generation of Israelites.

• Indeed, his faithful co-labourer, Titus, was someone who was right in the centre of this controversy on legalism, the Law, and the teachings of the newly founded Christian Church.

• Paul had never been to Colossae, but had received favourable reports from Epaphras, his faithful brother in Christ, of the spiritual condition of this little band of believers.

• In this beautiful song of praise, Israel recognised that the goodness of God was not dependent on them but on His everlasting faithfulness - His eternal grace - His loving kindness, which is never-ending.
• This is not only a psalm of the past that celebrates Israel's grateful thanks to their faithful God Whose steadfast love endured forever, but it is a hymn of praise for the present, it is a song of thanksgiving that the Church age can chorus with equal gusto and grateful hearts.
• Not only does this lovely psalm explode into a song of thanksgiving, but concludes with the pronouncement that all who are wise will see that God's steadfast love toward Israel is the same faithful love, yesterday, today, and forever.
• It was Paul who encouraged us to give thanks in everything – so let our hearts and voices explode into a great hymn of praise and thanksgiving to the LORD, for He is good and His steadfast love endures forever, for His faithfulness extends throughout time and into the far reaches of eternity.

• May we harmonise our voices together with thanksgiving and praise for all that God has done for us, for He is good and gracious, He is kind and faithful, and His mercy is everlasting.

• God proved His faithfulness to His people on that day, for they all crossed on dry land.

• While certain psalms look back to God's faithfulness to His people in times past, others prophesy of God's continuing mercy and grace towards Israel in days to come.
• With songs of thanksgiving and jubilant praise, they will thank God for His faithfulness to His erring people, for their deliverance from the hands of the Gentiles, and their return to the land of promise.

• If the nation remained faithful to the Lord, He promised them unimaginable blessings, while disobedience would necessitate punishment.

• He is faithful and long-suffering, and His compassion reaches from one generation to another and will remain into the eternal ages to come.

• He may have been in deep distress, but David did not question God's faithfulness, nor did he doubt His goodness and mercy.

• He too experienced much pain and suffering because he was faithful to his calling, sharing the good news of the gospel of God throughout Asia.

• Let us praise the name of Him Who started a good work in us at salvation and is faithful to complete it in the day of Christ.

• In His prayers, Nehemiah pleaded for God's mercy on his nation, his city, and the people of Israel, reminding the Lord of His never-failing faithfulness, and precious promises to His people: You are a God Who preserves His covenant and lovingkindness for those who love Him and keep His commandments.
• God's ear was attentive towards his servant because he was a faithful prayer warrior who was consistent in his intercessions, prayed continually with all prayer and supplication, and trusted God to fulfil His promises to His people.
• In Nehemiah's life, we see the supernatural work of God being carried out in answer to the faithful prayers of His servant, for when plans are conceived in prayer, prayer is the foundation on which God's answer rests.

• The badge of a disciplined soldier and faithful steward is suffering for Christ Himself learned obedience through His suffering.
• Let us learn obedience through suffering, and let us endure hardship with patient endurance in the place where the Lord has placed us so that we can join the army of Christ as a good and faithful soldiers and servants to our life's end.
• For suffering is often the badge of honour of a faithful man or woman of God.

• He is faithful and true, and His grace extends to each nation of the world and every tribe of Israel, forever and ever.
• Let us give thanks to Him and bless His name, for the Lord is good, His lovingkindness is everlasting, and His faithfulness endures throughout all generations. 

• What a privileged grace - that even when we fail in our Christian witness, God is faithful and just and gives us ample opportunity to remember that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us, and that it is by His grace we have been saved - through faith.

• Although he prophesies of God's wrath and judgement against Israel and Judah for their idolatry and laments the sorry state of the nation's spiritual condition, Micah also promises restoration for the faithful remnant of Israel in the end times.

• He is a faithful and gracious God Who will never disappoint His people and Who alone deserves our reverence and praise.

• They would receive mercy and grace in time of need, and be granted God's gracious healing and spiritual wholeness: Then your light will break out like the first rays of dawn, were Isaiah's words of comfort to this little, faithful remnant:Your recovery will speedily spring forth and your righteousness will go before you.
• The faithfulness of Israel's remnant is likened to the breaking forth of the first rays of morning light rising from the blackness of night, heralding in the fast approaching warmth and hope that daylight brings.

• And once again after 70 years of captivity, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob moved on behalf of His people Israel, to restore them to Himself and their Promised Land, for He is a good and faithful God Whose Word endures from one generation to another.

• He did not hold back from anything that would benefit the spiritual growth and well-being of this little group of faithful believers, whom he hurriedly met on His journey to Jerusalem.
• We too need to be like that little group of faithful elders that listened to Paul's passionate preaching on the shores of Miletus, when he reminded them to be unafraid of teaching the truth and encouraged them not to shrink back from witnessing of Jesus, both in public places and private homes. 

• Paul gave us many faithful sayings and offered some wise instructions in his epistles, and as this short but masterful letter to Titus is drawing to its close, Paul exhorts him to make sure that those that have put their faith in God, devote themselves to good actions, and are eager to do good and help other people.

• Today, Jesus is sitting at the right hand of the Majesty on high, and during His absence, those that are wise and faithful will obediently and diligently discharge their duties.
• The spiritual believer is here identified as a wise and faithful servant.
• The faithful servant obediently carries out the instructions of their Lord while caring for the people of God and anticipating the any day return of their Master.

• Down through the generations, there has always been a faithful remnant of people who believe God, who trust in His promises, and who know that their Redeemer lives.
• And to underline the point that God has not rejected His people, Israel, Paul makes the point that he himself is an Israelite: A descendant of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. Paul is reminding us that God always keeps a remnant of faithful people that He will work through and use to His glory. 
• Even when the mighty prophet Elijah pleaded with the Lord against Israel, thinking he was the only faithful one left, God's reply reminded him that He is unfolding His plan, in His way, and to His glory: I have kept for Myself seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal.  
• When God made His plans and purposes before the foundation of the world, they were not dependent on the faithfulness of a particular nation, a particular person, or group of people, but on the faithfulness of God Himself.
• Even when we are faithless, He will remain faithful.

• However, he did seek to encourage his fellow-labourer to be faithful to his calling, to build up the Body of Christ, and to strengthen the resolve of this younger man, as he pressed on to the goal of his calling.

• For centuries, the united message of these faithful men was to call the nation of Israel to repent of their sins, to turn away from their apostate ways, to return to the Lord their God, and to prepare the way for the glorious arrival of their promised Messiah.

• This hope is not only reserved in heaven for these faithful, loving, Colossian believers, but for all who have heard and believed God's Word of truth; the gospel of the grace of God.

• Moses was a steadfast servant who was faithful to God's call on his life, but like all sinners whose faith is counted as righteousness, he was only one part of God's vast household.
• Moses may have been a faithful servant of God, just as Christ was faithful in the work that He was called to do during His sojourn on earth, but that is where the resemblance ends.

• God is faithful.
• David had learned from experience, that God is faithful to His people, and will never leave us nor abandon us.

• Faithfulness towards our Father and fidelity towards our fellow men, is reflected in a sincere and energetic confidence in the Lord and an unswerving trust in His Word - while the divine love of Christ is manifested through the words we speak and the actions we carry out.

• Abram was confronted with a choice: would he remain God's faithful servant, continue to believe His precious promises, and trust Him to be his Shield and great Provider OR would he be tempted with the glittering prizes that had been successfully retrieved from the defeated attackers?

• Just as God was faithful to Israel, He is faithful to us today.

• There is an urgency in this final letter from Paul which exhorts Timothy to maintain fidelity, faithfulness, and endurance in his Christian service and warns him of a fast-approaching apostasy.

• However, it was at this turning point in His ministry, that the Lord told the parable of the sower and explained to His faithful disciples why He was speaking in parables, for whoever has, to him more shall be given, and he will have an abundance; but whoever does not have... even what he has shall be taken away from him.
• The wonderful truths that Christ was sharing with his faithful followers, was that those who were open to spiritual truths, concerning salvation would receive abundantly.
• While JESUS is the ever-faithful and gracious God who forgives sinners and clothes those who believe in Him in His robe of righteousness, He is the God Who cannot abide sin, and has determined that the soul that sins - through unbelief, will die.

• Our Good and faithful Shepherd gently leads and guides the sheep of His pasture in the best way that each of us should go.

• In this passage, Jeremiah delivers a very precious promise to God's faithful remnant: But they shall serve the LORD their God and David their king, whom I will raise up for them.
• It also demonstrates the long-suffering goodness of their covenant-keeping God; His mercy, faithfulness, goodness, and grace.

• But in the book of Hebrews, the Holy Spirit only mentioned his faithfulness and obedience.

• He is the only Shepherd Who remains faithful unto our life's end.
• We can abide in our faithful Shepherd and lie down in the green pastures to which He leads us in safety, for even when our life-journey is fraught with difficulties and hardship: We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.

• As a warning to the wicked and an encouragement to his readers, Peter reminds us that God is faithful to fulfil His plans and purposes and that we will not be overcome by evil.
• Indeed, Paul reminds us that when we are faithless, HE remains faithful to His blood-bought children.

• We are to test all things by the Word of Truth and allow it to foster integrity in our heart and faithfulness to our calling.

• And how this rejoiced the heart of Christ's faithful bond-servant.

• He declared terrible judgements on various pagan nations and Gentile cities, before alerting Israel of their own punishment for disobedience, and the kingdom blessings that would follow the faithful remnant that honoured the Lord.

• And so Paul wrote this second epistle to these faithful believers at Thessalonica, to allay their fears and encourage them in their Christian life.
• They needed to be reminded - and comforted in the knowledge that our faithful God has promised to sanctify each one of us wholly and completely - spirit, soul, and body, and that before the Day of the Lord and the Great Tribulation, the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God.

• Once faith in the truth of who we are in Christ starts to kick in, we can claim God's promises, for He is a faithful God Whose promises are yes and amen in Christ.
• The first flickering flame of faith was lit when this weeping man when he remembered God is the eternal Creator and cried out: Long ago You established the earth, and the heavens are the work of Your hands. He continued to proclaim the eternal qualities of God: Even they will perish, but You endure forever; they will wear out like a garment; Like clothing You will change them, and they will be changed. Finally, he rejoiced that God is faithful and unchanging: You are the same, and Your years will not come to an end.

• On the day of Pentecost, when faithful believers were united together in one place, filled with the Spirit, baptised into the Body of Christ, and started proclaiming the wonderful works of God in many languages, Jews and Jewish proselytes from around the world were amazed to hear the gospel in their own tongue, and were perplexed.

• He was also one of twelve agents sent to spy out the land of Canaan, but only Joshua and Caleb gave a faithful report that the land was a good land and that God was well able to deliver it into their hands.
• But God had been faithfully leading, guiding, training, correcting, upholding, encouraging, and preparing this faithful servant for decades.
• But He needs faithful servants who do not murmur against His plans, question His purposes, or seek to return to the fleshpots of the world.
• God used all things to prepare Joshua, just as He does in the lives of all His faithful servants.

• The enemy of our soul whispers lies into our heart and questions the goodness of God and His faithfulness.

• God is faithful, and He is true to His Word, and He will fulfil all the promises He made to the children of Israel, AND He will also keep His Word to the Church - which is the Body of Christ.

• But David had not yet come to a full understanding that God is an ever present help in time of trouble, that the mercies of God are new every morning, and that He is faithful to hear and respond to the cries of all His children.

• Any misgivings we have in God's power to help or any doubts that arise, concerning His ability to save and defend us, stem from a pride in our own abilities and a lack of understanding of His generous character, faithful love, and gracious goodness.

• But our Christian walk through life, should also be seen as the first step on the great adventure of eternity – simply because we believed in the One Who is faithful and true.

• This is a general exhortation for all believers to be faithful in attending their local church assembly, in order to participate in brotherly encouragement, strength, support, edification, spiritual nourishment, biblical teaching, and the joy of sharing fellowship with like-minded believers.

• It must be a broken and a contrite heart that has an unshakable, confident assurance of our faith which is anchored to the faithful promises of an unchanging God.

• Trusting in the power of God and His faithfulness towards His people, together with a dedicated prayer life, is often the process God uses in forwarding His own plans and purposes for the redemption of His people.
• The time Nehemiah spent in prayer and intercession for the nation, gave the Lord an opportunity to use His faithful servant in the fulfilment of his heart's desire.
• God is still in the business of using his faithful servants to forward His perfect plan of redemption.

• We must never diminish the wonderful partial fulfilment of this beautiful prophecy which was poured out in such abundance on the faithful few who were waiting together in Jerusalem, as Christ had instructed.

• What each one of us is to do is to remain faithful to the work that God has called us to do.
• May we seek to be faithful in our service and give Christian encouragement to others in the God-given ministries with which we have been entrusted.

• He promised great blessings if they were true to His Word, obeyed His commands, and remained faithful to the God Who brought them out of Egyptian slavery.
• And as Israel set out on their journey to the Promised Land, the Lord tested their faithfulness along the way.

• The one who places their faith in the Lord does not seek help from those that are proud and deceitful, because the faithful love of the Lord surrounds them, protects them, and underpins their lives.

• Little did this faithful band of followers know that in ten days time they were to receive that promised baptism of the Holy Spirit, about which both John the Baptist and the Lord Jesus Christ Himself had spoken.
• This faithful little flock of believers were to become the first members of Christ's Body, which is the Church.
• As members of the Body of Christ, let us remain faithful to the witness and testimony of the gospel of Christ Who said, I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life, no man cometh to the Father, but by Me.

• Unlike his Jewish neighbours, this Roman knew that Jesus was from God, and that His authoritative Word was powerful enough to command the fatal sickness to leave the ailing body of his faithful servant. 

• It is the time of great hardship and trouble, when God will test their faithfulness.
• It is followed by the parable of the faithful and foolish steward, which represents God's judgement of all Jews, (both spiritual and carnal), who survive this terrible time of Jacob's Trouble.
• They will be rewarded and praised by the Lord Jesus Who will say, well done, good and faithful servant.
• They will disobey the Word of truth and unlike the faithful servants who obeyed God's Word, the evil servants will abuse their position of trust and ignore the instructions of their God and Saviour, and will be judged accordingly.
• Depending on the life we live, Christians can be faithful to our calling or we can dishonour the Lord Who bought us.
• May we all hear the voice of our Saviour say to each one of us, well done, good and faithful servant, as we enter fully into His wonderful joy.

• It has its fruit in a person that remain true to their heavenly calling, and it is manifested in a life of faithful obedience; a life that is lived to the glory of God; a life that faithfully fulfils its heavenly calling.

• On one hand, he acknowledged the faithfulness of God to finish the good work that He had started in his life and to fulfil all that He had promised to this man after God's own heart.
• Great is His faithfulness for the Lord our God is our salvation and His blessing is upon all His people throughout time and into eternity.

• Paul also gave us that wonderful encouragement, that God is faithful, Who will not allow you to be tried beyond what you are able, but with the trial will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it.

• Our living hope for today and the lasting hope that is kept for us in heaven depends entirely upon the faithfulness of God Himself.

• Paul was shown at the start of his ministry, all the things he would be required to suffer for Christ's sake, and he wanted Timothy to remain faithful to his calling, in spite of the hardships he would also face.
• Timothy had not abandoned Paul, like so many other Christian colleagues, so the apostle used this opportunity to encourage the younger man to remain faithful to his calling, to fan into flame his spiritual gift, and never to be ashamed of the gospel he preached, for it is the power of God unto salvation to all who believe.
• Paul also used his prayer for Onesiphorus as an encouragement to Timothy to remain faithful during the difficult days they faced.
• We do not know what encouragement this man gave Paul or what service he rendered in Ephesus, but we do know that he was a faithful brother in Christ, who had provided Paul with help and encouragement in the past.
• And in his lonely cell, as Paul awaited his execution, we are blessed to hear about Onesiphorus, his gracious ministry to the apostle, and his faithful service to the Lord.
• Faithfulness to the Lord and fidelity to fellow believers, is one of the messages that Paul wanted to instil in Timothy, and it is a message that every one of Christ's Body needs to learn and live-out in these closing days of the Church age.
• May we give encouragement to the saints and be a faithful servant of our heavenly Lord in our own sphere of life, and may we honour Him in the lives we live as did the testimony of these three men in their various ministries; Paul the apostle, Timothy the pastor, and Onesiphorus, the 'Bringer of Help'.

• We are to recall that His mercies are new every morning - great is His faithfulness.

• His compassion never fails and His mercies are new every morning - great is His faithfulness.

• They should be faithful in their marriages, the husband of one wife.

• Over many centuries of their history, the Lord had proved Himself to be faithful to the erring children of Israel.
• He decided to wait expectantly for Him to direct and govern his future - and that of the faithful remnant of Israel.
• Despite the inner turmoil that grieved his soul and the outer destruction he witnessed with his own eyes, this man was able to stand firm on his hope in God - knowing that His mercies are new every morning, for the Lord is a faithful God and true to His Word - and the same holds true today.
• No matter what we may be called upon to suffer in this transitory life, we KNOW that God is faithful and will not suffer us to be tempted above that which we are able to bear, but will make a way of escape so that we may be able to bear it.
• God is indeed faithful to His Word which cannot be broken... and so with the grieving Jeremiah, we too can trace the rainbow through the rain and proclaim, The Lord is my portion - therefore I have hope in Him.

• But we read that they gained victory over Satan because they were cleansed by the blood of Christ, and they defeated him by the word of their faithful witness.
• Strength is of Christ, for His is the faithful testimony, the glorious gospel of grace. 

• In this verse, Scripture speaks specifically about marriage fidelity and sexual intercourse, which was ordained by God in the beginning, and this verse deals specifically and powerfully on the subject of marital faithfulness and sexual purity - a position which is ridiculed by many in today's society.

• Moses reminded them of their historical past, of God's promises to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and the nation of Israel - and He brought to their remembrance the long-suffering faithfulness of their good and gracious God - despite their own rebellion and apostasy.

• It rested upon the faithfulness of Israel in keeping the terms of God's covenant, and the people quickly agreed to all God's conditions and proclaimed: All that the Lord has spoken we will do.

• Solomon's monologue places a strong emphasis on the faithfulness and justice of God.
• The dedication of God's Temple was perhaps the high point of Israel's history (which is more correctly called His Story), but from Abraham onwards, the one unchanging fact is the goodness, grace, long-suffering, and faithfulness of God to all His people, for even when we become faithless, HE remains faithful.

• We can boast that the Lord our God is our never-failing help in time of trouble and that His abiding faithfulness has become our shield and protection.
• It is nothing to do with our own worthiness or virtue that we are furnished with such heavenly privileges but is entirely founded on His unswerving fidelity and His never-ending faithfulness towards the children of men, for His grace and His mercies are new every morning and His promises never fail, for they are YES and AMEN in Christ.
• But God has promised to cover us with His pinions and provide refuge under His wings, and His faithfulness is a shield and buckler for all who trust in Him.
• He will never fail us nor forsake us, for Christ is our promised Defence and our trustworthy Defender and His sure pledge rests in the One that is Faithful and True.
• May we abide in Him and never step away from His protective covering, for His promises are sure and His mercies are new every morning; great is His faithfulness.

• Instead, every one of them, with the exception of two faithful men, Joshua and Caleb, died in the desert and were buried there.
• Moses had led this disparate and disobedient group of people since the age of 80, when God used him to challenge Pharoah: Let My people go. Israel was God's 'firstborn, adoptive son' who had been enslaved in Egypt for 400 years, but God is faithful and His promises never fail.
• The message Moses proclaimed was a song of praise to the Lord in which we are alerted to the great contrast between the faithful character of our righteous God and the corrupt defects of His covenant people.
• He describes Him as: A God of faithfulness, Who is without injustice, a God Who is righteous and upright in all His ways.
• He spoke of God's faithfulness in chastening His people and His patience in seeking to bring them back to Himself.
• They were His ambassadors on earth, and yet they bore no resemblance to His beautiful character and never-failing faithfulness. 
• The song that Moses sang contrasts the goodness of God, the veracity of His Word, and His faithfulness to His people, with the wickedness of Israel and their terrible apostasy.
• Truly, He is a God of faithfulness Who is without injustice, and He is righteous and upright in all His ways.

• The Lord had promised to raise up a Prophet like Moses and a faithful Priest after the order of Melchizedek, who would do according to the perfect will of the almighty Creator.

• For multiplied centuries, we have discovered the unfolding of God's unchanging character, His gracious plan of redemption, and His faithfulness to His chosen people, Israel.

• However, from verse 17, the author introduces the theme of faith that is tested through life's trials and tribulations and the blessings that come through faithful obedience to the Word of the Lord.

• It contains a testimony that God is faithful to His people and to those who put their trust in Him, and it also gives the most comprehensive prophetic timeline of God's full and final victory over Satan's illegitimate earthly rule.

• In His grace, God has promised those who remain faithful in trials and tribulations, will one day receive a crown of life, which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.
• Through it all, Abraham found that God was faithful to His Word - and He is no less faithful to fulfil the promises He has made to you and to me.

• He also used great exaggeration and extravagant and colourful examples to remind us of our heavenly Father’s never-failing care, His unconditional love, and His superabundant faithfulness towards all His children.

• However, although His nation was faithless towards Him, God remained faithful... and in His grace He promised to regather the scattered people of Israel and Judah back to the land of Israel, where each tribe will each receive the inheritance that was promised to their fore-fathers Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob - but which had to be postponed because they rejected Christ 2000 years ago.

• In this Psalm, David begins by exploring God's faithfulness in the many areas that impact every one of our lives, after which he made a statement that has intrigued countless numbers of people.

• Before His death, godless men were permitted to carry out the most atrocious acts against the Lord of glory, but after His death it was only the hands of faithful followers, like Joseph of Arimathea and his friend Nicodemus (who came to Jesus at night), who handled the body of our Lord, as they wrapped Him in a linin sheet and laid Him in the prepared tomb.

• While the beloved apostle rejoiced greatly about Gaius' faithful work, his sincere testimony to the truth, and the love, friendship, and grace, he demonstrated to his Christian brothers and sisters, John needed to warn him about men like Diotrephes, and to exhort him not to follow his ungodly ways and teach him the godly way to live.

• His never-failing faithfulness and deep compassion embraces every man, every woman, every child.

• Every attribute of the Father gives us one more precious glimpse of His faithfulness, His loving-kindness, His wisdom, and His purpose.

• This group were urged to call on the name of the Lord, to cry out to Him in faith confessing their sin while turning back to Him (for if a believer confesses his sin, God is faithful and just to forgive his many sins and cleanse him from all unrighteousness).

• A simple reading of Old Testament Scripture, clearly identifies the persistent and ongoing unfaithfulness of Israel's ancestors, despite the wonderful faithfulness of God.

• But Naomi had reached a point of desperation and discovered that the only one to Whom she could turn for help was her faithful God Who had never stopped seeking this little lost lamb.

• It was because of their murmurings, complaints, grumblings, and defiance of God, that the entire nation fell into apostasy, and all but two of God's faithful servants were buried in the desert.
• It is a clarion call to ALL God's people in every dispensation, to be obedient, to be faithful, to trust God's Word, to adhere to His call on each of our lives, and to live each day as unto the Lord.

• There was nevertheless a little remnant that were faithful to the Lord, and Isaiah encouraged them as he told them of their coming Messiah and of the many blessings that are stored up for the people of God: Who works and shows Himself active on behalf of all who earnestly wait for Him and trust His Word.

• But God's righteousness is further revealed from faith to faith, for God is faithful to carry out the good work that He started in each of His redeemed children.
• We called to LIVE by faith and instructed to keep on living by faith, knowing that He who started a good work in us will be faithful to complete it in the day of Christ Jesus.

• However, as soon as sin is confessed, God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and return us into fellowship with Himself, and spirituality is once again restored - and we thereby fulfil the law of Christ.

• We are to be faithful in every circumstance of life so that God is honoured through our testimony.

• God is faithful to bring us to an understanding of our own weakness so that when our faith is tested and tried, we will not rely on ourselves but on His sufficient strength to establish us and develop in us a more secure faith in Christ.

• David remained confident in the Lord's never-failing faithfulness and promises to protect him in days ahead.

• But if a  Christian obeys Christ's command to abide in Him and He in us, he will bring forth much fruit - 10-fold, 50-fold and maybe 100-fold, and he will hear Jesus say, well-done good and faithful servant.To abide in Christ and to rest in His love is to know, with absolute certainty, that He alone is life’s sufficiency and to act on this knowledge.

• There is no condemnation to those that are in Christ Jesus, for He even gives forgiveness and healing to those who commit this sin, both in their pre-salvation and post-salvation life - for if we, who have been justified by faith, confess our sin, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sin and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness - including this one.

• Despite his blistering denunciation of the apostate ways of God's chosen people in the early chapters of Isaiah, the prophet's message from chapter 40 is one of enormous comfort and encouragement, for the Lord is a faithful and gracious God who gives strength to the weak and rest to the weary.
• These words of Isaiah were indeed good tidings of great joy to the little, faithful remnant of Israel, but they are words of great comfort and succour to all who are weary and heavy-laden, both Jew and Gentile alike, for He sent Jesus to be the good Shepherd of the sheep, the Door of the sheepfold, the Way, the Truth, the Life, and the Light to all who would trust in His name for the forgiveness of sins and life everlasting.

• David felt that the enemy was triumphing over him while the Lord seemed to have distanced Himself far away from His faithful servant, and so he challenged the Lord with multiple questions: How long O LORD, will You forget me forever?

• The climax of Stephen's inspired speech to the Sanhedrin, just before his cruel martyrdom, rehearsed the faithfulness of God towards His people while contrasting Israel's rebellion against their God, causing him to conclude: You stiff-necked people, uncircumcised in heart and ears, you always resist the Holy Spirit.

• The saving faith that brought Abraham out of a pagan land and a godless world, was deepening into an ongoing sanctifying faith where God would continue to prove His faithfulness to his servant; provide for him, protect him from his enemies, make his name great, bless him abundantly, and cause him to be a great blessing to all the families of the earth. 

• God proved to be a faithful and gracious Provider to His errant children.
• Moses reminded the Israelites of God's goodness and grace, His kindness, and faithfulness, for the LORD your God is a compassionate God; He will not fail you nor destroy you - nor will He forget the covenant He made with your fathers, which He swore to them.
• Moses began His long and final message to the children of Israel by reminding them that God is good all the time and that His faithfulness is great - even when His chosen people proved to be an adulterous, unfaithful, and fickle generation.
• To break His Word would be to deny Himself, for as Paul reminds us, even if we are unfaithful, He remains faithful: for He cannot deny Himself.

• God is not only faithful to keep the wonderful promise that He made to unfaithful Israel through the prophet Jeremiah, but he adds in the letter to the Hebrews: I will remember their sins and their lawless deeds no more, for where there is the remission of sins, there is no longer any offering to be made for those sins: IT IS FINISHED!

• It was a reminder to God, of the many precious promises He had made to His people, Israel, and the king humbly prayed that God would be faithful to carry out and complete, the good work that He had begun with the people of Israel, so that the name of the Lord might be glorified.
• May we take time to demonstrate in our own prayer-life, a like-minded trust in the goodness and faithfulness of our God and Father - for we have a great assurance that He hears and answers the prayers of His children, when they come from a heart that is in fellowship with Him.

• We are secure in Christ and eternally safe in the hands of the Father, for when we are faithless, He remains faithful.

• She trusted that there would be a fulfilment of what had been spoken to her by the Lord, for she was part of Israel's faithful remnant.

• He was instructing the people who had their history written in Scripture, which proved God's faithfulness to them from one generation to the next.
• Knowing that God has promised to fulfil all our needs according to His riches in glory, and having proved His faithfulness to us on so many occasions..

• The apostle John tells us that sufferings, imprisonment, persecution, and even death, await many Christians in this life - but a crown of life is the promised reward for those that are faithful during the time of trial, and who patiently endure in the day of trouble.

• They were to heed His Word, obey His commandments, trust in His faithfulness, circumcise their hearts, and love the Lord with their whole being.
• After forty years of wandering, Moses once again rehearsed the need to trust in the Lord with all their heart and mind and soul and strength... to heed His Word, obey His commandments, trust in His faithfulness, and circumcise their hearts.

• Speaking of God's never-failing faithfulness to His people, Israel, the Psalmist wrote, God is our refuge and strength - a very present help in times of trouble.

• And in this verse, we have another reminder of Epaphras' devotion to the Lord, and his dedication in sharing the good news of the gospel of Christ, for Paul refers to him as, our beloved fellow bond-servant, who is a faithful servant of Christ - on our behalf.
• And here, we discover that this beloved disciple was a faithful servant who ministered, on behalf of Paul.

• That wise instruction is as pertinent for us today as it was in the days of Titus: Hold fast to the faithful Word of truth.

• We need never endure our affliction alone, for He has promised to be with us, and God is faithful, Who will not allow any of us to be tried beyond what we can bear.

• How comforting it must have been when he heard some good news about the believers at Colossae from Epaphras, a fellow worker for Christ whom Paul affectionately identified as, our beloved fellow bond-servant, who is a faithful servant of Christ on our behalf.

• David chose to call to mind the faithfulness of God and reflect on the strength of his powerful Lord, Whose loving-kindness lasts for a thousand generations and Whose great goodness and mercy will follow all who trust in Him.
• His cries for help turned into a song of rejoicing as he recalled God's faithfulness.
• Let us, with joyful abandon, sing of God’s power and make music in our hearts to Him, as we lift up holy hands to our faithful God and join our voices together in grateful hymns of praise, for His mercies are new every morning and His grace is sufficient, no matter what we are going through.

• Therefore, Peter wrote, those also who suffer according to the will of God, shall entrust their souls to a faithful Creator, in doing what is right.
• Let us, therefore, entrust our souls to our faithful Creator, by doing what is right - for this will bring glory to His name and may contribute to a lost sinner being snatched from the jaws of hell.

• God is faithful and has not abandoned His people, even though Israel strayed into apostasy and idolatry, and the Lord will not abandon His Church either.

• Whichever gate a Christian chooses to enter, God is faithful to His eternal promises to all who are saved by grace through faith in Him, and none will ever lose their eternal salvation.

• But we do know Paul was a faithful servant of the Lord and his ministry, and that his testimony had far-reaching effects in the spread of the gospel.
• May we be faithful in the work that God has given us to do and be prepared to give an account of the hope we have in us.

• Some are deceived into thinking that this is the true Messiah... but he is nothing more than the evil imposter, who has been prophesied of old... for JESUS is the faithful and true Witness.

• Although the Lord had to punish His people's infidelity, He remains true to His promises and remains faithful towards His people.
• Through Isaiah, it was also explained that it would be in quietness of spirit and through confidence in God's faithfulness that they would find strength to deal with the trials and tribulations they were facing.

• Spiritual growth is evidenced through the precious fruit of the Holy Spirit, but it takes time to mature and there is a clearly defined process of development and growth if we are to grow in grace and show forth the spiritual fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

• Throughout Scripture God often uses the simple, natural things to teach us important spiritual truths, and these gentle instructions of the Lord to His faithful little band 'to rest awhile', were no exception.

• Praise God that despite their continued rejection of their God and King, it is by His by grace that a faithful remnant will one day be restored and God's unconditional covenants to Abraham, David, and His people Israel, will eventually be fulfilled.Israel did not heed God's warning and they fell into gross apostasy, living in a downward, cyclical spiral of rebellion against their God and King, but how we see similar patterns of disobedience in the Church of today.

• We are to KNOW without a shadow of turning that the eternal Creator of heaven and earth Who has locked Himself into an everlasting convent with humanity, is our Lord and God and that He is faithful and true in all that He says and in all that He has promised.
• We are exhorted in Scripture to KNOW that the LORD is God, to KNOW that He is the true and living God, to KNOW He is faithful, and to KNOW that He keeps His covenant promises for ever and ever.

• Moses had warned them centuries before, that rebellion and apostasy would result in judgement falling on the Nation, while faithfulness would result in blessing... and the first section of Isaiah's writings make it clear that the nation was ripe for judgement.
• And although Isaiah prophesied that a righteous Ruler would arise as the nation's sin-bearer and sacrifice... Who would be their Redeemer and Restorer, Israel had to understand that their punishment was due to their apostasy... and the reason for the coming blessings and future glory for a faithful remnant was because of God's mercy and grace.
• But the Lord remains faithful to the promises He made to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, David - and to US.
• May we learn the lesson that Israel failed to learn - that God is good and faithful to keep His promises to us, and demands that we are holy for HE is holy.

• God did not immediately remove the evils from the path of His faithful servant David - for delay in God's judgement on the wicked is a demonstration of His mercy and grace towards the children of men.

• He was fearful, confused, and complained that he was the only faithful servant and true worshipper of God left in the world!
• God does not always do what WE think is right and He has many thousands of faithful people who trust His Word and obey His commands.

• It is because he has faith in God and trusts in the unchangeable and unchanging character of his faithful God that the questioning heart of a distressed David is able to remain securely anchored to the precious promises of God.
• Nevertheless, he calls to the Lord for help and strength because principled and godly men have all but vanished from the land and faithfulness and trustworthy people seem to have disappeared from off the face of the earth.
• It appeared that even a few faithful people, failed to be found from among the children of men.
• In the meantime, let us hold fast to His Word of truth and trust in the unchangeable and unchanging character of our good and faithful God.

• In a God-hating, Christ-rejecting, wicked world that has bowed to satanically inspired evil and the sinful practices of the world, the divine institution of Christian marriage (which mirrors the love that Christ Jesus has for His Bride, the Church), needs to be a faithful witness to the world of the wisdom of our God.

• We desire to be good and faithful servants, workmen who will not be ashamed when we stand before Him.

• But every believer has the free-will to choose to either 1) suffer hardship as a faithful servant of Christ or 2) to try to escape life's problems by denying the Lord His right to govern their life.

• There are many scoffers against Jesus in the world today, but we have a faithful witness in the full and final Scriptures.

• Instead, they began to doubt the goodness, grace, and faithfulness of the God Who redeemed them.

• The heavens declare the glory of God to humanity, and the scriptures increasingly unveil His perfect character and holy attributes to all the children of men, as we see multiple examples of His loving-kindness, His long-suffering mercy, and His gracious faithfulness to all generations.

• In her glorious song of praise to God for the great gift that lay hidden in her secret place, Mary celebrates the grace, mercy, and faithfulness of God.
• It is in verse 53 that she gives praise to the Lord for His faithfulness to His people Israel and for changing their circumstances so radically, He filled those who are hungry with good things, she cried, and those who are rich, He sent away empty.

• To help God's people remember His never-failing faithfulness, he taught them the 'Song of Moses' to both encourage them in the days ahead and as a constant reminder that God's work is perfect, His way is righteous, His laws are just, and His faithfulness lasts from generation to generation.
• May we never forget all the wonderful things that God has done for us and His never-failing faithfulness to His children.

• John was faithful in his ministry.

• Scripture makes us acutely aware that God resists the proud man but faithful people are His delight.

• It warns us to beware of falling short of the calling God has on our lives and cites Israel as an object lesson on pitfalls to avoid, as well as identifying a great cloud of faithful witnesses who trusted God in all the twists and turns of their lives.

• Despite all the suffering, pain, hurt, and distress that the prophet Jeremiah faced in life's school of affliction, the Lord was teaching him many lessons about the great faithfulness of the Lord and His never-failing mercies, which are new every morning.
• It is good to remember the faithfulness of the Lord, which is new every morning.

• For the Word and wisdom, the promises and the precepts of our God are altogether upright and are perfect in righteous, and all His work is carried out in faithfulness, grace and truth. 
• His Word is righteous altogether, and we can trust in all that He says and everything that He does, for He is faithful and true.
• For the Word of the Lord is right and true;he is faithful in all he does.

• However, he has to ask God's permission, and God is faithful and will not let any one of us be tempted beyond what we can bear.

• However, this verse addressed a little remnant of faithful believers, commending them for their good deeds and godly life: But you have a few people in Sardis who have not soiled their garments; and they will walk with Me in white, for they are worthy.
• The faithful remnant who remained steadfast in their faith, were promised blessings because they had not soiled their garments, they had stayed faithful to the truth of the gospel, trusted God's Word, and honoured His name.
• Despite the spiritual decline of those around, they had remained faithful to their calling, were walking in spirit and truth, and were undefiled by the world.
• No doubt, the clear comparison between the 'few faithful people' and the vast majority in Sardis was designed to challenge those with a fruitless life and dead faith, to come to repentance and return to living a productive and triumphant life that honours the Lord Who bought them with His precious blood.
• Throughout the Word of God, we recognise the faithful few who remain true to the truth of Scripture, loyal to their Lord Jesus, and refuse to compromise their faith or be enticed back into worldly pursuits.
• May we remain part of a faithful remnant who walk in spirit and truth, trust in the Lord with all our heart, and live godly lives through the power of the Spirit.

• God in His grace has promised that He who started a good work in each of our lives... which was when we trusted His Word and were born from above, is faithful to complete it in the day of Christ Jesus - simply because we believed His Word.
• Paul taught that like all born-again believers, they would also be kept by the power of God, because He is faithful to keep His promises to His people, even when we are faithless towards Him.

• In Habakkuk's day, things were to get worse before they got better, and he was called to live by his faith and to trust the Lord Who is faithful to rescue His people and true to His Word.
• God is faithful to carry out His plans and purposes at His appointed time and to finish the good work He has started in the lives of all His children.

• May we never doubt the faithfulness of God to vindicate those that are His and to cut off the 'horns' - the strength, of the wicked.

• as a sign and pledge, that God would be faithful to fulfil the unique Abrahamic covenant, that was agreed between them.
• Abraham had proved God's faithfulness.
• Abraham had proved God's faithfulness but God was to test Abraham's faith - and the Lord called him to listen to His voice.

• However, as the aged apostle John neared the end of his earthly life, he was given an amazing vision of that terrible future time, which will culminate with the heavens being opened: And behold, a white horse, and He who sat on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and wages war.
• The name of the Rider is Faithful and True, for He is the eternal Word of God Who became the incarnate Son of Man.
• And His name is Faithful and True, and he will return as the risen, ascended, glorified, visible image of the invisible God, full of grace and truth.
• He will strike the nations with His Word of truth and will judge the world in righteousness and the peoples in His faithfulness, before He sets up His kingdom in Jerusalem.

• He was one of seven men, who were chosen to oversee the daily ministrations in the early Church, because he was faithful, honourable and filled with the Holy Spirit.
• Both the life and the death of Stephen is a beautiful example of a man who is faithful to the point of death, and a man who will one day receive that promised crown of life.
• He was filled with the Holy Spirit of God, was faithful to boldly preach the gospel of truth and demonstrated a thorough knowledge and deep love for the Word of God.
• Let us seek to live the normal Christian life so that like Stephen, the first Christian martyr, we too may be faithful to the point of death and win the promised crown of life - to the honour of God the Father and the praise of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

• Holding fast the faithful Word, which is in accordance with the teaching, means correctly exegeting of Scripture. To hold fast the faithful Word, which is in accordance with the teaching, means interpreting the Word of God correctly, and rightly dividing the Word of truth.
• He should also be a man who: Holds fast the faithful Word which is in accordance with the teaching, so that he will be able both to exhort in sound doctrine and to refute those who contradict.

• He is a faithful, forgiving, and merciful God, Who is long-suffering towards those who believe in the wonderful name of the only begotten Son of God.
• The faithfulness of the Lord towards the children of Israel has never failed in their long and troubled history. 'To KNOW the Name of God', in Old Testament times equated to believing God's Word and trusting His promises.
• Despite Israel's prideful rebellion and lusting after other gods, the Lord is faithful to His promises - and those who know His name will never be forsaken because they put their trust in Him.  And despite crying-out in venomous hatred, we will not have this man to rule over us, the day is coming when God in His grace will raise-up Israel to be the head and not the tail of the nations.
• Never let us doubt the promises of God's faithfulness to all who are His children, by grace through faith in Christ.
• Just as God continues to remain faithful to His people Israel, so He continues to remain faithful to the Church, which is the Body of Christ.
• But just as God is faithful to His people Israel, we too have an assurance that we, who have been bought with the precious blood of Christ, will never be abandoned nor condemned, for there is no condemnation to those that are in Christ Jesus.

• Although he was sending written directives to the young pastor Timothy on how to shepherd the flock of God that was under his care, we can all take to heart the wise instruction on how to become a man or woman of God, so that we conduct ourselves in a manner that is honouring to the Lord and faithful to our position in Christ.

• But there were also certain things that were not revealed to these faithful men of God, but were kept secret from before the foundation of the world.
• Today, we have received all that God has chosen to reveal to the Church, just as He did with His faithful prophets of old.

• Satan delights to use adversity to hatch-out doubts and fears in the imagination of our hearts, and these can become barriers that make us question God's faithfulness, distort His character, and cause our faith to falter.

• But from his birth to his death, the story of Joseph provides us with many examples of God's never-failing goodness and grace, His power, and His faithfulness to His people.

• Jeremiah's prophetic writings, however, placed hope in the heart of the little faithful remnant who had to endure this terrible defeat, for the Lord promised to make a New Covenant with a united Israel.

• Yet it is to his faithful young follower and beloved 'son in the faith' - Timothy, that the Holy Spirit inspired Paul to write.
• And in this final epistle of encouragement and warning, he trumpeted a call to faithfulness in ministry, courage in the challenges of life, and patient endurance when facing the inevitable hardships that pursue all who live godly in Christ Jesus.
• If there is a theme that threads its way through the entire epistle, it would be the urgent call to 'faithfulness.' Timothy was admonished to be faithful in ministry, faithful in conduct, faithful in preaching the foundational truth of the Word..
• and faithful to our brothers and sisters within the Body of Christ.
• Timothy had travelled with Paul on several of his missionary journeys, and although he had been taught the Holy Scriptures from his childhood, due to the faithful instruction he received from his mother and grandmother, it was Paul who introduced this young man to the Lord Jesus Christ and the gospel of grace.

• While condemning areas such as marital infidelity, a profane priesthood, and the reluctance of the people to give God the offerings and honour He deserves, Malachi also spoke to his kinsmen of the goodness and faithfulness of the Lord, in all his six discourses.

• And just a few short hours before the Son of Man was lifted up on Calvary's Cross as the sacrifice for the sin of the whole world, He prayed to the Father for His disciples and for all who would come to trust in Him as Saviour, through their faithful witness: Father, I want ALL You have given me to be with Me where I am.
• The answer to Christ's beautiful High Priestly prayer is as certain as His Word is faithful and true.

• This psalm, where David cries out to God for forgiveness of his sins, has demonstrated the importance and wisdom of confessing our sins - particularly our post-salvation sins - for in so doing we are immediately returned into a right relationship with the Father: For IF we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

• The Lord, He is good, they sang together, His faithful love to Israel endures forever.

• He redeems our life from the pit and crowns our head with faithful love and gracious compassion.
• Let us never forget ALL that God has done for us, for He is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger and full of faithful love.

• Paul fully expected and hoped that he would remain faithful to his life's end and never be ashamed of his Saviour, but would continue to be as bold for Christ as he had been in the past, trusting that his life would bring honour to Him, whether he lived or died.

• We are to do the good things that He has prepared for us to do in His strength and power, knowing that He is a faithful God and His faithfulness is new every morning.
• Great is His faithfulness.

• While some like to claim that this prophecy was fulfilled at the time of Israel's captivity in Assyria and/or Babylon, it is yet future, for God has declared that the land would become totally uninhabitable and be rendered an utter wasteland and that the faithful remnant of Israel will plunder the land of its wealth and riches.

• God in His grace, also promised to provide Moses with evidence that His Word was true and that He was a faithful God: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall worship God at this mountain.
• During the age of Israel God gave many 'signs' to His people that He is a God that is faithful to His Word, for we read: The Jews require a SIGN.
• God's faithfulness to His Word has not changed now that we are in the Church age.

• Is it astonishing to realise that Isaiah, like so many other Old Testament prophets, had to chasten the people of Israel for their apostasy and unbelief and had to remind them of God's creative majesty, His omnipotent strength, His omniscient knowledge, His sovereign authority, and His faithfulness to His chosen people.

• He also uses the lowly shepherd as a beautiful picture of our God and Saviour Jesus Christ, the good and faithful Shepherd of the sheep Who sacrifices His life for the sake of the sheep.
• In that day, the lost and wandering sheep of God's own pasture, who have been devoured and devastated throughout many centuries of time, will be reunited to the good and faithful Shepherd of Israel.
• Praise God for JESUS - Israel's good and faithful Shepherd-King.

• He has made known His Word of promise to us and our confidence is in Him, for He is our covenant keeping God Whose Word is to be trusted and Whose character is faithful and true of all that He has spoken.

• The heart-felt prayer of a childless woman whose pleading request for a baby son was answered and who was faithful in returning the child back to the Lord once he was weaned, has rejoiced many hearts and encouraged many souls.

• His prayer life was regular, systematic, orderly, and faithful, and he prayed with expectation that God would answer his prayers.
• Great is His faithfulness.
• And then, David rejoiced in God's never-failing faithfulness.
• Let us reflect the prayer-life of David, who was an example of a man who prayed regularly, systematically, faithful and expectantly, and who cried, In the morning, O LORD, You will hear my voice; in the morning I will order my prayer to You and eagerly watch.

• We are called to live by faith in the Word of God, for without faith it is impossible to please Him, and we are encouraged to remember His faithfulness towards us and to avoid the unfaithfulness exhibited by the nation of Israel and the unbelief they demonstrated in the wilderness.

• The repeating, melodious heartbeat, that caresses every part of the created universe, rejoices that His loving-kindness is everlasting, His steadfast mercies endure forever, His faithful love is never-ending, and His unwavering goodness, stretches into the furthest extremities of eternity.
• Mercy and grace, along with goodness and faithfulness, are some of the eternal attributes of our heavenly Father - and the regular rhythm and insistent beat of this joyful chorus, echoes the joyful refrain, O give thanks to the LORD; for He is good: for His mercy endures forever. O give thanks to the LORD; for He is good: for His mercy endures forever.
• He alone is the God of all gods for His love is eternal, His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever, and He is faithful to fulfil all that He has said.
• His faithful love is never-ending, and His unwavering goodness stretches into the outer limits of the universe and the furthest extremities of eternity.

• We recognise that Rebekah and Jacob's ungodly attitude of 'the end justifies the means' is a man-made philosophy and not a demonstration of trust in God's faithfulness to fulfil His Word... and we identify in Isaac and Esau's premeditated plot to overthrow God's will, a serious act of rebellion against the Lord.

• May we be like the faithful few in the Church at Sardis that remained faithful to their calling and did not defile their garments.

• Satan was permitted by the Lord to deal harshly with God's servant Job, as a test of his faithfulness.
• But he also used the painful experience of His servant to exhibit the never-changing character of our good and gracious God Who is long-suffering and tender-hearted, faithful and of great goodness, Who is brimming with compassion, and Whose mercies are new every morning.
• Not only does the testing of our faith work patience, which is an important attribute in the maturing Christian who is growing in grace and being conformed into the image and likeness of the Lord Jesus, but it ALSO brings glory to God and will one day be used to teach the angelic host about the never-changing character of our faithful Lord.

• We must be watchful and wary of his ploys, for he seeks to twist the truth of God's Word, causing us to question God's faithfulness and damage our witness and walk.

• It must have been wonderful to see the people singing praises to God and offering thanksgiving for His faithfulness, in bringing them back to the Promised Land.
• May we foster a teachable spirit and develop a willingness to put the lessons we learn into practice, as we occupy until Jesus comes, so that we may finish the good work that God has prepared for us to do and hear Him say, well done good and faithful servant.

• Martha believed that God was faithful to fulfil His promise of a future bodily resurrection, and so Jesus was enabled to reveal more of His character and limitless resources to her as being available today.
• Christ was able to refocus Martha's faith from a faithful God Who will one day fulfil His future promises to incarnate God Who is always present in the everyday circumstances of our lives.

• Christ had finished the work of salvation that the Father had given Him to do in every aspect of His life as God incarnate; glorifying the wisdom of God, the faithfulness of God, the holiness of God, and the love of God.

• It is only God's never-failing faithfulness and incomparable kindness that enables born-again believers to grow in grace and in a knowledge of Christ - as they dwell in Him and He in us.

• May we be faithful to fulfil the privileged position we have as a member of Christ's spiritual army, and may we never seek to come against the enemy in the power of our own flesh or prideful self... but rather, may we take up our heavenly armour as we pray in the spirit and remain covered in Christ - in Whose name we stand.

• God is faithful to save us, to keep us, and to give us understanding in all things.
• And if the Lord has been faithful to His people in the past, we can be assured that He will continue to be faithful to His promises in the future.

• The faithfulness of our God stretches from one generation to another.No wonder we are called by the psalmist to sing unto the Lord a new song, a glorious song, a wonderful song that proclaims His goodness to us and to all men.
• No surprise that we are exhorted to worship the Lord in the beauty of His holiness, for even the trees of the forest sing for joy and clap their hands together because the Lord is coming to judge the world in His righteousness and His people in His faithfulness.The Church is His Body, and we are now the holy temple of our faithful Lord, for we were created in Christ as a new creation, sanctified as His peculiar people, set apart as His representatives on earth, and we have been given a glorious song of grace to sing of the One that shows forth the incomparable riches of His grace, expressed in His kindness towards us, in Christ Jesus.

• How often the 'BUTS' of the Bible stand in stark contradistinction between i) the faithfulness of God and His great goodness, and ii) the trite unbelief of His children and their sinfulness.
• And we rejoice for the glorious 'BUT' in this verse, where we read, BUT the Lord is faithful, Who shall establish you, and guard you from the evil one.
• GOD is faithful, and He has promised to establish us in the faith and guard us against the evil one.
• We serve a good and faithful God, Who has promised to work His good work in the lives of all His children and establish each one in every good work and word.
• No wonder Paul was keen to remind this little group of believers that God is faithful to guard us against the evil one... that old serpent, who is called the devil and Satan.
• The faithfulness of God streams throughout the pages of Scripture, as seen in His many acts of mercy, His multitudinous promises of grace, His wonderful words of warning, and His amazing gift of salvation.
• Man may be faithless and false - BUT God is faithful despite our inconsistencies.
• And He is faithful to do everything that He has said, for our dependable God is Faithful and True.
• God knows our weakness, and He understands that our faith may fail, BUT the Lord is faithful, Who shall establish you, and guard you from the evil one.

• He fasted and prayed before the God of heaven, with the firm expectation that the Lord would hear and respond, for the Lord is a faithful God, Whose loving-kindness reaches from one generation to another.

• In His loving-kindness and great mercy, our faithful God has given us His written word..

• Well, Paul gave us some help in his final instructions and encouragement in second Timothy: We are called to be faithful in knowing and learning ALL the sacred writings of God, which are able to give us wisdom and which lead us to salvation, which can only be found by faith in Jesus Christ alone.

• No doubt, David also recognised the unmistakable signature of his faithful God, the good Shepherd Who provided all he needed, led him in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake, and promised a table of plentiful supply in the face of his bitter enemies.

• This passage gives a detailed description of the Messiah; His Person and lineage, His equity and righteousness, His goodness and grace, His wisdom and understanding, His counsel and might, His faithfulness and reverential fear of the Lord.

• He was not only a Hebrew of the Hebrews from the stock of the faithful tribe of Benjamin.

• The Jews required a sign from God as proof of His trustworthiness, yet failed to understand that God is faithful and His Word is true.

• For the Lord preserves the faithful, and fully repays the proud person.

• But like David, if we confess our sin, God is faithful and just to forgive us our sin, purify our heart, renew a steadfast spirit within, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

• In the company of God's chosen people-Israel, he prayed that God would be faithful to keep the unconditional covenant that He made with his father, king David.
• But Solomon had failed to reference the conditional covenant that God had made with Israel at Sinai through their great leader Moses, where blessings would result from Israel's obedience and faithfulness, but curses would result from their disobedience and apostasy.

• What joy for this little faithful band of Jews who had received John's baptism of repentance, to at last hear the gospel of Christ, and be placed into (or baptised into) the Body of Christ.
• but like that little faithful band of Jews who had received John's baptism of repentance - we are to believe on Christ for the forgiveness of sin and life everlasting - remembering that repenting of our sin and believing on Christ for the forgiveness of sin are two sides of the same coin - that are conjoined and cannot be separated.

• The meaning of Hosea is 'Salvation', and in the book of Hosea we read the amazing history of a faithful prophet of God, who is instructed to marry a prostitute..
• In the final verses of the book, we discover the depth of God's love for Israel, who are urged to repent of their sins and finally to benefit from God's gracious blessings and everlasting faithfulness - just as Gomer finally repented of her adultery and unfaithfulness.

• Hannah's beautiful song of rejoicing not only reflects her delivery from bareness but is a trustworthy witness to the glory of God, the greatness of His power, the majesty of His name, the wonder of His love, and His faithfulness towards the children of men.

• Timothy was to stand fast to the gospel of truth, to be patient in suffering, and to be faithful to the calling that God had on his life.

• Silas became a 'secretary' to Paul and penned a number of his epistles, and although little is written about him, he was obviously a faithful brother and trusted friend.
• Paul himself experienced many attacks from both Jewish and Gentile opponents and in this letter, he exhorted these believers to remain faithful to the gospel and to continue to grow in grace and mature in the faith.

• As Israel raised weapons of war against their bitter foe, so Moses lifted high the Rod of the LORD against the principalities and powers in heavenly places. The earthly foe could only be overcome in the spiritual realm. Victory or defeat of Joshua's army would be determined by the effective prayer of Israel's faithful watchman..

• The book of Esther was written to offer Jewish exiles, and those who had returned to the land of Israel with Ezra, great encouragement, and the assurance that God is a covenant-keeping God Who is faithful to His Word and watches over His people, even when they disobey Him.
• May we be faithful to fulfil any call He makes on us, knowing that God may have placed us in a particular place at a particular time for a particular purpose.

• Earlier, the Lord Jesus had promised to leave His peace with His faithful followers: My peace I leave with you; My peace I give unto you: not as the world gives, give I unto you.

• and his letter shows a genuine desire to visit these faithful believers.

• And yet, Isaiah knew that there was a small but faithful remnant that honoured the Lord... and he was instructed to deliver great comfort to those that were set apart unto God.

• These were the perplexing circumstances that surrounded Christ's little group of faithful followers, but this was the night that Jesus shared some words of comfort and consolation, that has blessed so many, down through the ages, Peace I leave with you.

• In the midst of his toil we hear Nehemiah pray: Remember me, O my God, for good, according to all that I have done for this people. Nehemiah was a faithful servant of the Lord and was simply carrying out what God had called him to do.
• No matter where God places us, may we, like Nehemiah, listen to God's voice, follow His commands,and diligently carry out the work that God has called us to do, knowing that He Who started a good work in us is faithful to complete it.

• This is no less true for the Church than it was for Israel – it is not truer for Israel that it is for the Church, for God's Word to His people is sure, steadfast, faithful, and true.

• May we look to Jesus, abide in Him, and walk in the light as He is in the light... and when we fall into sin, may we quickly confess our sin to God, knowing that He is faithful and just to forgive us our sin and to cleanse us from ALL unrighteousness.

• Throughout the book of Ezra, there are lessons that each one of us can learn and opportunities to serve our long-suffering and faithful God when we are willing to be used to fulfil His plans and purposes.

• He complains that he is being forced to be entombed in dark places, like those that are already in the grave, and he cries out for the Lord to hear his supplication and to answer him, because God is faithful and righteous.
• In his distress, David entreats the listening ear of his faithful Saviour, and we need to do the same.
• God's grace is sufficient and He is faithful.
• We also need to stand on His faithful promises and be comforted that He is the righteous Judge of all.

• Moses may have been the faithful servant whom God used to construct the Tabernacle.

• You will be baptised with the Holy Spirit not many days from now, were the final words that were still ringing in their ears as, with one accord, they devoted themselves to prayer, together with Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers, and the many faithful women who had devoted their heart to their Saviour.

• And even on those occasions when we are unfaithful - He remains faithful for He cannot deny His Word.

• He was the personification of meekness and grace, faithfulness and love.

• As he penned his final epistle from a dungeon in Rome, Paul wanted to encourage this young pastor to stand fast in the faith and endure the inevitable challenges he would face, if he were to be faithful in ministry, remain true to the glorious gospel of grace, and preach the Word of God to a world that was dead in sins and at enmity with God.
• Paul wanted to encourage this young man to remain faithful to his ministry and pastoral duties, as he preached the Word and shared the gospel of Christ with those in need... knowing how easy it is to become discouraged in a hostile and godless world.
• Timothy had ministered alongside Paul on a number of his missionary journeys and, no doubt, the imprisoned apostle knew that his time was short, his death was close, and that the furtherance of the gospel of grace would depend on the fortitude, faithfulness, and forbearance of younger men like Timothy, and so we read: I long to see you, even as I recall your tears, so that I may be filled with joy.

• And so strict instructions were given to godly elders of the churches: to stand firm on the foundations of the faithful word of truth, and to counter, convict and contradict all false teachings.

• He alone can testify, Behold, I was dead, but now I am alive forevermore. He alone is worthy to bear the titles of 'The faithful Witness', 'The Firstborn from the dead' and 'The Ruler of the kings of the earth'.
• During His sojourn on earth, Jesus was the faithful Witness Who was sent by the Father to reveal Himself to us, in the Person and Work of Christ.
• He is 'The Faithful Witness', Who carried out His Father's will unswervingly.
• And He is faithful to complete the good work He has started in each of our lives.
• He alone bears faithful witness as God's Prophet, Priest, and King.
• He alone is the faithful and true witness Who loved us so much that He offered up His sinless life, so that His perfect peace could flood into the heart of all who trust in Him for salvation.
• Jesus Christ is that faithful witness, Who loved us as He hung on the Cross - and He loves us still as He sits on the right hand of the Majesty of High.
• Jesus Christ was, and is, and always will be this Faithful Witness, Who alone is the rightful King over the rulers of the earth, the appointed Prince over all heavenly authorities, the anointed Messiah of Israel, and the perfect Man Who laid down His sinless life, so that whosoever believes on Him would not perish but have everlasting life.

• The Church of Smyrna is forewarned that they will suffer much persecution for the sake of Christ and are encouraged to be faithful... to the point of death.

• He is the Consolation of Israel Who remains faithful and true to all God's promises for they are all 'yes' and 'amen' in Him.

• Habakkuk was part of the remnant of Israel who remained faithful to the Lord.
• Habakkuk knew that God's judgement on His people was inevitable and shocking, but he also glimpsed the goodness of God, the righteous of God, and His never-failing faithfulness towards His chosen people.

• But through all of his long and faithful ministry, he was (like the Lord Jesus) despised and rejected of men, a man of sorrows, and acquainted with much grief.
• The grace of God is never terminated because His compassion never fails, His tender mercy and loving-kindness are new every morning: Even though He may permit suffering, He will show compassion according to His abundant and faithful love.

• In this Psalm, the Psalmist is rejoicing in the Creator of the world Whose plans stand forever, Who loves righteousness and justice, and Whose work is always done in faithfulness.

• David's proclamation of God's goodness, his delight in God's faithfulness, and his hatred of those that do evil in the sight of the Lord, is a prophetic peep into the heart of our heavenly Saviour Who alone could truly proclaim, I have set the LORD continually before Me; because He is at My right hand -I will not be shaken.

• But even in that terrible seven-year period, which will follow the any-day Rapture of the Church into heaven, Isaiah writes of a remnant that will bow their knee to the Lord and lift up their voices in joyful praise and worship to God, singing: O LORD, You are my God; I will exalt You; I will praise Your name, for You have done wonderful things, plans formed of old, faithful and sure.
• No wonder they will lift their voices in joyful praise to the Lord their God Who is faithful and true, and Who will never leave them nor forsake them.
• Isaiah reminds us that all the wonderful things that God has done, he planned long ago, which is a testament to His perfect faithfulness.
• In the same way, we should never forget that no matter what trials and tribulations we face in this Church Age, let us be part of today's little flock who trusts God's Word, believes His promises, gives glory to His name, and lifts up our voices in joyful praise and worship: Lord, You are my God; I will exalt You, I will give thanks to Your name; For You have worked wonders, Plans formed long ago, with perfect faithfulness.

• He rejoices in the eternal faithfulness and gracious wisdom of the Lord and ponders over the majestic works of His hand.
• The joy of the Psalmist is contagious, for when we spend our days reflecting on the eternal faithfulness of the Lord and turn our hearts to meditate on the beauties of His name, we will also rejoice in His wonderful works, His grace and mercy, His wisdom and might, His faithfulness and love, as like the Psalmist we will blend our voices with the heavenly choir that proclaims, Holy, holy, holy.

• Maybe this is why there seems to be an urgency in his writing with an emphasis on remaining faithful to the Lord Jesus in times of trouble, standing firm on the truth of the gospel of Christ, and being diligent to present oneself to God as a faithful worker that does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.
• Paul seems to want to impress on this young pastor, who would be one of the main pillars in the Church after he was gone, that faithfulness is a vital characteristic of the godly man or woman.
• Not only is God faithful to keep his Word (and Paul had been faithful in discipling Timothy with words of instruction and encouragement), but Timothy in turn must remain faithful to his calling.
• Not only does Paul encourage faithfulness, which is well-pleasing to the Lord, but also identifies men that may have been fellow-labourers but who had become unfaithful in their service: You are aware of the fact that all who are in Asia turned away from me, was Paul's sad reflection, among whom are Phygelus and Hermogenes.
• How different from the mention of Onesimus, a faithful and beloved brother whom Paul mentions in Colossians, or Tychicus, whom he identifies in Ephesians as a beloved brother and faithful minister.
• May we be faithful to our calling and render our service willingly and faithfully to Him, for we have an ever-faithful God Who is faithful to keep us and to fulfil all His promises, and He is worthy of all our worship and praise. 

• But the important message that he wanted to relay to Timothy was faithfulness - to faithfully continue to preach the Word, to be ready in season and out of season, to be prepared to reprove, rebuke, exhort, and encourage other believers with great patience and godly instruction.
• Paul knew that his earthly life was soon to end, and he wanted to remind Timothy to remain faithful - to faithfully endure to the end and to preach sound doctrine.
• Paul wanted to encourage Timothy and assure him that God is faithful to keep His promises, that the Lord would rescue him from every evil deed and every corrupt happening, and that God would bring him safely to his heavenly kingdom, for in Christ is all the power and all the glory forever and ever, amen.
• Although we live in a sin-sick world that is at enmity with God and at war with His anointed Son... and although we see the most shocking corruption saturating the highest offices of government, God is faithful to fulfil His many precious promises to those that are His.

• He wanted Israel to learn about His essential nature, His righteous character, and His never-failing faithfulness.

• This is not a call to expose our secret sins to the whole wide world, we are to confess our sins to God and He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

• It contrasts His faithfulness with our unbelief.

• No matter what the spiritual temperature of other believers may be, we are called to be faithful... and to keep Christ at the centre of our heart and life if we are to receive the promised reward.

• He is our faithful and compassionate High Priest, He was tempted like we are and yet did not sin, and He became the ultimate sacrifice for our sin.

• But like the prodigal son, we need to confess our faults to the Lord - knowing that if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

• And so we are called to be faithful soldiers who obey their commander-in-chief, determined athletes who run with patience the race set before them, industrious farmers who faithfully plant and tend their crops to harvest, diligent workmen who treasure God's Word in their hearts, and strong buildings which stand firm on their immovable foundation, and that Rock is Christ.

• Every member of the Body of Christ has a part to play in God's progressive plan of redemption, and He Who started the good work in our lives at salvation is faithful to complete it, until the day of Christ Jesus.

• And on that day of Pentecost, we read that 120 faithful followers were all together in one place, and were all filled with the Holy Spirit and started to proclaim the wonderful works of God in multiple languages, as the Spirit gave them utterance. They were BAPTISED into the Body of Christ and then FILLED with the Spirit, Who gave each one a spiritual GIFT.
• But although a faithful few believed that Jesus was the Christ, the anointed Son of God, many failed to repent of their sin and refused to turn back to the God of their forefathers.

• Abraham believed that God was faithful to do what He pledged.

• Whatever mind-set develops in the heart of a believer, whether carnal or spiritual, his position in Christ and his eternal life remains secure forever, for it rests upon the faithfulness of God to keep His promises, not upon the unfaithfulness of God's blood-bought children towards their Heavenly Father.

• As soon as Jesus was alone, His faithful followers, together with the twelve, questioned Him about His teaching in parables.

• If we would but follow the wisdom contained in the Word of God, how our faith would be strengthened and how our fear would dissolve into the sea of God's gracious faithfulness.
• When we reflect on His never-failing faithfulness in the past, we will confidently trust our lives into His keeping in the future, even when mountainous circumstances appear likely to overwhelm us.
• Today is the day to consider what great things the Lord has done for you and to step confidently into the future, trusting in His never-failing faithfulness.

• Prayers from Daniel the prophet and petitions from the faithful remnant of Israel, were answered through Cyrus, the pagan king of Persia, centuries before God's anointed Messiah was born.

• However, we do discover that it often results in a deeper knowledge of God and a more secure foundation of faith in our Heavenly Father's faithfulness.
• We discover from the Scriptures that His grace is sufficient no matter what we have to face, and that if we trust Him through all the difficulties and dangers of life, we are granted an ever deepening knowledge of His Person and an expanded insight into His gracious character, His eternal faithfulness, His amazing grace, and His unsurpassed glory.

• They were lacking in love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control, and as a result we discover them to be the most carnal believers to whom Paul wrote; and carnality results in a stunted Christian life.

• Amos also addressed a challenge to Israel's faithful remnant who anxiously awaited the promised, 'Day of the Lord'.
• But because of the nation's evil, God's wrath would have to precede His promised time of peace and prosperity and His few faithful followers were warned not to long for the day of the Lord, for it would be a day of deep darkness and terrible gloom,and would bring with it the severest judgement upon His people, Israel.
• Let us be faithful to our calling and thank the Lord that He is a good and faithful God, and is long suffering and of great kindness.

• This is because it predicts persecution and false prophets, encourages fruitful-bearing and godly works, details righteous living through prayer and other godly commitments, and speaks of service and a promise of rewards for faithfulness which covers this entire period.
• God knows the heart of man and Jesus could recognise fear and fretfulness in its many forms, deep in the hearts of His disciples as He examined each one in this little band of faithful followers.

• He was the One Who, when so many crowds were coming and going and He and His disciples did not even have time to eat and relax, said to His faithful followers: Come away by yourselves to a secluded place and rest a while.
• In this passage, Jesus had just been told of the murder of John the Baptist, His faithful forerunner who had gone before to prepare the way of the Lord.

• The church at Philadelphia in this verse is generally referred to as 'the faithful church' and is one of the two churches in Revelation that do not receive a word of rebuke from the Lord.
• There are many crowns that are laid up for us in heaven at the end of our journey through life, as rewards for those that are faithful.

• This faithful servant of Christ and steward of the mysteries of God demonstrated much love to these carnal Christians through correcting them of their waywardness, challenging them to change their ways, and teaching them the godly way to live. 

• Even if we, who have been saved by grace through faith in Christ are faithless - we have an assurance that God remains faithful.
• And Paul continues, If we endure, we will also reign with Him; If we deny Him, He also will deny us and if we are faithless - He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself.
• They are linked with rewards which we may be entitled to receive at the Bema judgement seat of Christ, where rewards and crowns are given if we are faithful to our calling.
• However, there will be a loss of reward if we are not faithful to our calling, by denying our Lord in word or action..
• But if we are faithless to Him - nevertheless, He will remain faithful to us, for He cannot deny Himself.
• If we deny Him, He also will deny us and if we are faithless to Him - He remains faithful to keep His promises to us, for He cannot deny Himself.

• Only two faithful men were exempt from the Lord's fierce judgement.

• Perhaps the prayer that Paul often prayed for these and other believers throughout the middle east could be summed up in the final few verses of this lovely letter: Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass.

• The Church has not replaced Israel as some erroneously teach, but Israel will one day complete the role for which they was originally created; to preach the gospel of the kingdom to the ends of the earth and to tell of the goodness and grace of their faithful God to Jew and Gentile alike.

• We are to be faithful to the point of death, and stand fast in the Lord and in the power of His might.

• Paul also knew that his faithful ministry to these believers was rooted in the eternal.
