• Our Father disciplines us that we may be more fully free from the old nature, and find everything in the Lord Jesus.

• Self-righteous Pride Nicodemus, a pious Jewish leader, struggled with the idea of grace rather than human merit to gain God’s acceptance. Self-righteous pride may be the most difficult obstacle to overcome when free grace is offered, for one relies on the merits of man while the other rests on the grace of God. The constant strivings of the religious man to become acceptable to God by works is a far cry from the submitted heart of a broken sinner, who is thirsting for salvation.

• Eternal Life This is eternal life that they might know Thee – the only true God and Jesus Christ Whom He has sent. It is that simple, and yet how many reject God’s grace. The shocking reason that men turn their back on God’s free and gracious gift of salvation is wrapped up in the notion that man can produce his own righteousness.

• Work of Christ If we don’t repent or change our mind – we remain dead in our trespasses and sins. When we do repent or change our mind about God’s free gift of grace, that is offered to all sinners who are dead in trespasses and sins we are born again.. and the Holy Spirit places us in Christ as part of God’s family – FOREVER. Let us never add to the amazing work of Christ on the cross when by His blood alone He paid the price for your sins and mine. But rather let us simply accept God’s free gift of grace – by faith alone.

• Free-Will Choice Faith is a free-will choice made by the individual, in response to the Word of God. Faith is the only possible response that God accepts – and salvation is the outcome.  But unbelief is also a free-will choice, and only condemnation follows unbelief.

• We are then commanded to be His soldiers and to enter into spiritual war. I may be in the early flush of youth or I may be advancing in years; I may be invalided on a couch of sickness or I may be in the heyday of health; I may be imprisoned in a lonely cell or free to roam the wide continents – but He has a plan for each of us, and He plants or transplants us as He sees fit.  And He calls each of us to be faithful in the place where He has planted us.

• Where are the other NINE?  For the ONE whose grateful thanks dropped like fresh dew on the ears of Jesus – there are many more who take the free gift, that cost God so much and simply, walk away.

• Gift of Grace Nothing that is in ourselves could ever qualify to be the beneficiary of God’s grace. Reconciliation with the Father is the free gift of God’s grace to those who believe. Salvation and all the blessings that accompany it is only given to those who believe: believe on the Lord Jesus Christ – and thou shalt be saved.
• Our Saviour And that free gift of grace to believers opens the floodgates of God’s rich blessings. All who trust God’s Word are blessed to call God’s Son – OUR Lord Jesus Christ.

• Holy Spirit, Right divine,King within my conscience reign;Be my Lord, and I shall beFirmly bound, forever free.

• He was given a free-will to choose and a mind to think and reason.
• Power of Sin And glory to God for the power of sin was also broken in our lives and we have been set free from the dominion and mastery that Satan holds over the race of human-kind, for we no longer live under the requirements of the law – but have gained the freedom of God’s grace.
• Through the perfect sacrifice of Jesus Christ, the second Man, we’ve been set free from slavery to Satan and to sin – and have become servants of our God.

• Priesthood We share in His PRIESTHOOD – Jew; Gentile; slave; free; male; female – for all are one.

• All- Sufficient The wonders of Christ sufficiency should stagger the mind and humble the heart. There is nothing we can do to get right with God except believe on the Lord Jesus – but those that accept His free gift of salvation discover Him to be sufficient.

• Until the believer realizes that his life is safely hid with Christ in God, he will never get free from the harassment of the enemy.

• Romans Eight describes the experience of the believer who knows what it is to be in Christ, and who is being made free experientially from the law of sin and death by the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus.

• Spiritual Freedom Paul prayed that the church would be given spiritual wisdom and godly insight. He wanted all believers to be able to remain confident in the hope of their calling. He did not want them to be tossed hither and thither by every wind of doctrine –  but to know the truth of their union with Christ – for that truth will set us free.

• It was to include peoples of all races and nations – for Christ died for all – and all were to be one in Christ in the power of the Spirit – a united body, for by one Spirit are we all baptised into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. Matthew 16:18

• As with the seed that is buried once for all, but then disintegrates through a gradual process that sets free the new life, even so does the Father deal with our old man by delivering it to death with the Lord Jesus once for all, and then bringing about its mortification in detail through the circumstances of life, until the power of the flesh has lost its hold. -L.T.

• He formed man with total free-will, to choose to serve His creator gladly – in love.
• God still gave His new creation a free-will, but man also had an old sin nature.
• Christ was a Man with total free-will, Who chose to serve His creator gladly – in love.
• Our free-will choice as believers is to let the life of Christ live in us, until it is not I that live but Christ that lives in me!!!

• Free Will Choice No one is predestined to be saved, for salvation is a free gift to be received, by faith. No one is predestined to be lost, for all men are given a free-will to accept or reject.
• Those who accept God’s free salvation, by grace through faith in Christ, are saved.
• Those who choose to reject His free gift condemn themselves through unbelief – there is no middle ground.
• Self Condemnation Salvation is a free-will choice to be accepted or rejected by every man and woman. Those that accept Christ as Saviour were foreknown by God and predestined by Him.

• He wrote:- The value of both the struggle to free ourselves from the OLD Adam-life, and the equally fruitless efforts to experience the NEW Adam-life, (the Christ-life) is to finally realize that it is utterly futile. Our personal, heart-breaking failure in every phase of our Christian life..is our Father’s preparation for His success on our behalf.
• Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free.

• When the Lord moves for His own Son's sake, and has those interests governing, and when those interests have brought us into such a relationship with Him that we can say there is no stone so big to be removed, no problem so great for solving, no difficulty so intense, but the Lord will do what is necessary for His Son's sake when we have come to a position like that, the Lord is free to do a lot of things very quietly.

• Israel was to break free of their bondage.

• The believer truly walking in the liberty wherewith Christ hath set him free (Gal. 5:1), has Him ever before his eye of faith; delighting that because of Him he is in the Father's favor.

• For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death (Rom. 8:2).

• As free, and not using your liberty for a cloak of maliciousness, but as the servants of God (1 Pet 2:16).

• It is our Father's free gift.

• Gift of Salvation The Lord Himself pleads with sinners to accept His free gift of salvation. He is like a judge imploring a condemned criminal to accept a free pardon – He is like a father aching for the prodigal to cry, 'I have sinned against you'.

• It is a beautiful, free gift of grace, which is extended to all who trust on Christ Jesus. It is only the believer in Christ that can be sanctified and set apart unto the Lord – BUT not all Christians are prepared to progress along the path to spiritual maturity – not all Christians grow in grace, and many simply remain in spiritual infancy all their lives. Only believers can be set apart to God – but not all will identify with the cross of Christ. Only believers can grow in grace – but not all will take up their cross and follow Him. Only believers can become TRUE disciples of Jesus – but not all believers will become disciples.
• Free-Will Choice Discipleship involves what we give to God  – ourselves: our own life.
• Remember, in Christ’s economy it is only believers who are called to be disciples and forsake all for Christ’s sake – but it is a free-will choice to live as unto the Lord and to submit to His guidance – but never a requirement of salvation as widely taught today.

• Faith Choice Believing is man’s one and only response to the grace that is a free gift of God - for by grace and grace alone are you saved.
• Salvation is the free gift of grace that is given to all who believe on Christ. Paul tells us that believing is a faith choice – that is might be of grace. It means we choose to believe that God’s gift of grace is by believing on Christ. Righteousness is our portion because we trusted what God has said in His word. It isn’t believing on Christ for salvation PLUS doing something else.
• To make Jesus your Lord is part of spiritual growth but must never be added to the simple gospel of salvation, which is a free gift of God – to all who believe on Jesus.
• Free Gift of Grace It’s sad when believers are put under bondage, simply because the truth of the free gift of salvation – given to us by God’s grace, through believing on Christ has been misapplied.

• We must remember that the Holy Spirit can never have free course in us and through us if we harbor unloving thoughts concerning other of God's children, let alone put those thoughts into actions.
• Do not always choose the back seat because you like to be left alone, but come forward in the Lord's name and give the Holy Spirit a free course in your lives.

• Free-will Choice All sanctification and spiritual growth in our lives is by God’s grace alone, and all we have to do is to submit to the guidance of the Holy Spirit in our lives. But not all believers are being sanctified in a practical, progressive manner – for being “set apart unto God,” is a free-will choice – a decision of the will, we all have to make.

• I find that the Lord Jesus loved me and gave Himself for me when I was in a most unattractive state; but He makes me suitable to Himself, and I am so assured of the permanency of His love and of my association with Him that my heart is free to study Him.

• Cross of Christ The problem,  principle, and power of sin in our lives, was dealt with at the cross.  Because we were crucified with Christ, we are set free from sin’s vice-like power. We require forgiveness for our SINS – and it is PAID IN FULL. We require deliverance from our SIN – and it is PAID IN FULL. Both forgiveness and deliverance is found in the cross of Christ.

• Whatever we do accurately must take time and collectedness of mind, and there is no accuracy in all the world like keeping company with God, and yet nothing so free from bondage or tediousness.

• It is not in our personal clinging to a God-given thing, whether it be a promise or a possession, but faith's restful and fear-free holding on to the Lord Himself.

• When ‘self’ remains nailed to the cross, the life of Christ is given free access within.  And with every discovery, a way is opened for a fresh inflow of His supply.

• We were released from the power and the penalty of the Law.  We were made free simply because we believed with NO additional, man-made law.

• Eyes start to dim and memories to fade. The lithe strength of youth is replaced with memories of what it used to be. Teeth are capped and pressure of daily life replace a long-lost free spirit.

• It’s suitable for all occasions no matter what the time – and for all persons whether bond or free. God’s unutterable gift of His Son multiplies into a plethora of additional gifts, which explode into an astonishing display of God’s amazing grace and unconditional love. Spiritual death is removed and the new life of Christ is breathed into our dead spirit – we were dead in our sins, but made alive in Christ.
• We are free from bondage and the curse of the law – set free from the slave market of sin.

• God’s grace dictated that He would give His only Son to pay the price for all sin.. and the ONLY requirement of man was to believe that Christ died for their sin – and the ONLY way to be free from condemnation was to believe on Jesus Christ.
• The ONLY way to be free from condemnation is to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.
• Free Gift of Grace But what of those that of their freewill have chosen not to believe in Christ Jesus?
• What of them who of their own volition have rejected God’s free offer of salvation?

• We have been set free from the bondage of the hundreds of Old Testament commands contained in the Mosaic Law, and we are been called to love.
• and this is love for God: to obey His commands, and His commands are not burdensome. 1John 5:3.   Never forget that: the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.

• The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. (Romans 8:2)

• Christ’s Image As we abide in Him and He in us, we love Him because He first loved us. 1 John 4:19  As a child should be free to run to his father for help in trouble..

• That is only figurative language, which means be occupied with Him, set your mind on Him, dwell in Him, rest in Him, abide in Him; or, as Paul would say, Gaze on Him, behold Him, let Him be the object of your occupation, and the Spirit will make you free.

• It is a testing way, but, blessed be God, if we do endure the testing and go on patiently with Him, in His time, when that flesh has been finally laid low; when the voice of natural ambition is no longer sounding and having influence, and we are now utterly at the place where if things are not going to be of the Lord then there is not going to be anything at all, the Lord has a free way, and He is able to indicate that all the time something has been going on.

• It is for freedom that Christ has set us free.
• There is another word, which just means that which has escaped from slavery and is breathing free air.
• That is a fine picture, a fine portrait for Overcomers that which has escaped from slavery and is breathing free air.
• to be free of it all!
• Not only to be raised with Christ, but to have the grave clothes taken off and to be breathing the free air of the spiritually emancipated!
• And this word for remnant means such as have escaped slavery and are breathing the free air.

• No other price would satisfy a holy God, and so we were bought at a price – the precious blood of our Lord and Saviour, – but the free gift of salvation to all who believe, cost God the life of His beloved Son.
• Our obligation to be punished for our sin, was removed by Christ, and we have a new obligation to loving obedience and lifelong service: “for He who is called by the Lord as a slave, is the Lord’s free man.

• He was no stranger to hero-worship nor was he free from jealousies.

• We were positionally set apart unto God, but because we have free-will, we can choose whether or not we want to be sanctified. Though positionally sanctified at rebirth – practical sanctification remains a choice.

• Free Gift of Life How vital that we understand what the threefold life really means to the believer.
• The free gift of life… of salvation is offered to all sinners: for the wages of sin is death, but God’s gift of life is to those who believe.
• The free gift of life (of salvation),  is offered to those that believe in the Son.

• A believer that chooses self-merit is a debtor to keep the whole law, while a believer that chooses God’s grace is free from the law of sin and death.

• There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. (Galatians 3:28)

• It is simply - believe on JESUS – and you will be saved:- Jew or Gentile, male or female – young or old – bond or free – great or small.

• Liberating Gospel It seems that most believers stop their pursuit of salvation when they are saved. Truly salvation is the liberation from sin and the loosing from bondage. Salvation is the free gift for all that believe in Jesus Christm Who died and rose again..

• We have been given a free choice in every part of our life and all the priorities we set..

• Free Choice Unlike the rest of the creation which depends on fixed properties, laws or instincts. Man was created in the image and likeness of God and given volition – free choice.
• Humanity was endowed with a free-will to submit to God’s rule OR to reject Him – man can believe on the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation OR remain in condemnation.

• Through grace, we are not in the flesh, but in Christ, yet the flesh is in us; but our part is to reckon it as having been, before God and to faith, judicially put to death in Christ crucified, thus setting us free to be so constantly occupied with the triumphant Son of God, as to find all our resources, all our strength, all our springs, in Him. -H.H.S.

• Our Father would be free to favor us with far more of His riches in Christ Jesus if we would keep more in mind that grace is unmerited favor - so that He might make known the riches of His glory on the vessels of mercy (Rom. 9:23).

• Man’s Freewill And God decided ahead of time that the ones that would choose, of their own free-will, to trust Jesus as Saviour would be conformed into the exact image of Jesus Christ.

• Debtor to the Law A Christian either lives under the Law, which means they have: fallen from grace, or they live under grace which means they are free from the bondage of the Law.
• Living under grace is not a free-for-all license to do what you please.
• Command of Christ Christians are called to keep the commands of Christ, and the instructions given to the Church: have set us free from law of sin and death, [which is the code given to Israel] – in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

• He explains how Jesus us the Federal Head of an entirely new creation – in Christ – for the old fallen creation in Adam have the sentence of death upon their heads, but the new creation in Christ has the free gift of eternal life in their hearts.

• Peace with God is the free gift to all believers, but what of the peace OF God?

• Everyone who receives His grace is set free from the dominion of the old man.

• Stand fast, therefore, in the liberty with which Christ hath made us free (Gal. 5:1).

• You will then not only hear the Word of truth – but you will increase in your own understanding of the truth – and you shall know the truth, and truth will set you free.

• And there may even be times when you may stray from the way, as you break free from your Anchor..

• As Paul progressed through his letter, he laid out our most wonderful birth-right, which is ours as a free gift of God's grace.

• We are to maintain a heart that is cleansed and free from defilement.

• Because He lives, we too will live and receive His resurrected life as a free gift of grace through faith.

• His Resurrection from the dead imputes His resurrected life into those that are His; for His eternal life is a free gift of God's grace, through faith in Him.

• But ungodly men who refuse to accept Christ's payment for their sin as a free gift of God's grace, will be punished and judged according to their works - which can never be good enough for a holy God: For there is none good, not even one.

• Paul then goes on to explain that in Christ we are dead to sin and released from the bondage of the Law, alive in Christ, and set free by the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus so that we may live our lives to His praise and glory.
• It was Moses who foretold that Israel would be provoked to jealousy and anger by a rag-tag group of foolish Gentile believers who would receive the free gift of salvation from the God of Israel, by faith, before they did, and it was Isaiah who foretold that Israel's Messiah was also to be a light to lighten the Gentile nations: And that they would become God's children as a result of Israel's transgression, rebellion and apostasy.

• But Christ also offered up His body on the Tree, as a free-will offering - a burnt offering - a voluntary sacrifice for His people, so that through Him the Church, which is His body, might be sanctified and made holy - just as Christ is holy.
• But we sometimes overlook the free-will nature of His sacrifice.
• The free-will aspect of the crucifixion of Christ - as the Burnt Offering, is the opposite side of the same coin as the obligatory nature of his death - as the trespass-offering.
• He died as the compulsory SIN offering for our justification, but He died as the free-will BURNT offering for our sanctification.
• But He also fulfilled what was required of a free-will, Burnt-Offering.

• We who were dead in trespasses and sin and without God in the world, have been brought near to God because of Israel's transgressions, and by grace through faith in Him, we have been made children of God, forgiven of our sins, made part of the Body of Christ, been in-dwelt by the Holy Spirit and received eternal life as a free gift of God's grace.

• Whether the brothers and sisters to whom he was writing were new into the faith or well-weathered, seasoned saints, they were often referred to as 'little children', for all had been sinners saved by grace through faith in Christ Jesus, all had their sins forgiven through His shed blood, and all had been given eternal life as God's free gift of grace.

• From start to finish, the book of Galatians outlines the deep concern that the apostle Paul showed for the Christians in Galatia who, having been saved by grace through faith in Christ for the forgiveness of their sins and having been born from above, chose to give up the glorious liberty they had in Christ (salvation, through the hearing of faith) for the meritorious work and legalistic bondage from which they had been set free.
• Having been delivered from pagan superstition and slavery to sin, they were willingly prepared to forsake the true and living way, choosing rather to return to the suffocating slavery from which Christ had set them free.
• And yet, these believers had returned to pre-Cross bondage and slavery to sin, Satan, and the Law from which Christ had set them free.
• They started to strictly observe feast days and monthly rituals, seasons and years, from which the Cross of Christ had set them free.

• They did not understand that the Law of God, the Prophets of Israel, the Psalms, and the Feasts-days were all pointing to Christ, and that 'the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus' had set them free from 'the law of sin and death'.Today, as in those early days of Christianity, there is still much confusion about the 'gospel of God' and there are many attempts to add law to grace, and works to faith.

• But too many Christians wrongly think that a victorious Christian life is a happy, trouble-free existence where every whim of our heart is magically fulfilled by some sugar-daddy in the sky, cherry-picking Scriptures that 'prove' this false interpretation of the Word while proclaiming that the problem of others results from their lack of faith.
• Jesus told us that in this world we will have tribulation, for we are in the world but not of it, and He also assured us that His victory on the Cross is our victory too, but that victory may look very different from the soft, easy life and trouble-free existence they perceive this to mean.
• We have already received all spiritual blessing in abundance, simply because we are in Christ, and in Him we have all that we need to live godly lives, but nowhere in Scripture are we told that we will have the trouble free life that much of Christendom teaches today, rather we are informed of the opposite.

• And the gift of God that the Lord Jesus spoke of to this woman-at-the-well is His free gift of salvation, which is openly available to all who will accept God's gracious offer of redemption and be cleansed of their sin, by faith in Christ.

• We do not have to grovel for meager scraps at the bench of an unbelieving judge, for we have free and open access into the throne of grace and the riches of His love in Christ Jesus so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

• When He walked by the way He was hungry and tired, and our Great High Priest was not exempt from the human emotions of hope and fear, of joy and pain, of anger and grief, nor was He free from suffering and sorrow, but lived a life of humble obedience to the Father in the power of the Holy Spirit.

• Sarah, the free-born though physically barren woman who miraculously bore Isaac, gave birth to the child of promise.

• We read of the two sons of Abraham 1) Ishmael and 2) Isaac and we read of two women 1) Hagar, the bond-woman and 2) Sarah, the free-woman.
• Sarah, the mother of Isaac, represents the free-woman and the heavenly Jerusalem and fits this biblical symbolism beautifully.
• The story of Abraham's two sons, Ishmael and Isaac, and the struggle that took place between the two women - Hagar, the bond-woman (who represents slavery to the Law) and Sarah, the free-woman (who represents our freedom in Christ) resulted from the fleshly schemings of Abraham who decided to help God to fulfil His promise to give him a SON.
• Legalists like to say that because Sarah is the free-woman and also linked to Abraham, Christians are linked to the Law.
• Others sadly use this passage to make the false claim that God has finished with Israel and that the Christian Church has taken their place as God's chosen people - because Sarah, the mother of Israel, is now the free-woman!
• As Paul writes in this passage to believers: Brethren, we are not children of a bondwoman, but of the free woman.
• We are now ministers of the New Covenant of grace... and all who have trusted Christ for the forgiveness of sins and life everlasting are children of the free-woman- children of promise.
• May we never forget that by faith in Christ we are not children of a bondwoman, but of the free woman - for which we praise His holy name.

• While one believer's conscience may free them to engage in certain practices and customs, they should be sensitive to the feelings and needs of their weaker brethren, so as not to cause them to stumble, for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking. It is not about exercising or singing.
• There are many legalists who would seek to entice those who have been set free from the law of sin and death, back under bondage to the Law, by imposing dietary demands, sabbath laws, and other religious restrictions onto them.
• Those who choose to take part of their own free-will, have every right to do so, while those who choose not to do so are equally free to choose.

• Salvation is a free gift of God's grace to all who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.

• First, He died to set us free from slavery to sin, and the only thing we had to do to receive forgiveness of sin and life everlasting, was to believe on the Person and Work of the only begotten Son of God.And then, as soon as we were saved, God started a new work.

• The Law that was given to Israel through Moses caused an instant and bitter division to be set up between Jew and Gentile; and that same Law drew significant differences between male and female and between the free-man and the bond-slave.
• However, in this Church age, all those differences have been removed: There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female, for we are all one in Christ Jesus, our Lord. All who have trusted in Christ as Saviour are equal in the eyes of our Heavenly Father, saved by grace through faith in God's only begotten Son.
• Though we all have our own unique gifting from God and recognise the distinctions between male and female in the various ministries to which we may be called, we are all members of the Body of Christ and as such: There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female, for we are all one in Christ Jesus, our Lord.

• He knows that only as we sever our reliance on the world's destructive securities and rest our trust entirely on Christ Jesus our Lord, will we break free from the yoke of this world's slavery.

• Just like us all, Judas was give a free-will to choose the good or do the evil.

• Christ Jesus the Lord presented this hostile group with the life-changing truth which could free each one from the bondage of the Law, slavery to sin and death, and eternal separation from God.

• He is enabled to live a life that is pleasing to the Lord - and to break free from bondage to the law of sin and its terrible consequences.

• It is beyond our comprehension that God could love us so dearly, that He gave His only begotten Son into the world to be the propitiation for our sin, such that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but receive eternal life as a free gift of His grace.

• For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set us free from the law of sin and of death.
• We are FREE from the curse of the law because of HIS death.
• We have been set free, because we are IN Christ.
• Having been made FREE we are empowered to stand in that freedom, which is done by submitting to the Holy Spirit on a day by day basis, and often minute by minute.
• Let us live our life in the power of the Holy Spirit and submit to Him in all things, knowing that there is: NO Condemnation, for those of us who are positioned in Christ: For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set us free from the law of sin and of death.

• Salvation is a free gift of God's grace, which comes through trusting in the incarnate Word of God Whose shed blood at Calvary paid the full and final penalty for sin: For without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins.

• And all who believe in Him and accept His free gift of grace will be saved. 

• We do not become children of God by being good or offering interest-free loans to other people.

• And there shall be one sheepfold and one Good Shepherd of the sheep, for there is now no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male or female, for we are all one in Christ Jesus.

• For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. Hallelujah!

• This is not a command, for God wants our love and service to be rendered freely and willingly, but in light of the inestimable riches of God's free grace which He has poured out in great measure on fallen sinners simply because we trusted in Christ as our Saviour, surely it should be our joy and delight to present our bodies, day by day, in spiritual worship as a living sacrifice - holy and pleasing to the Lord.

• The grace of God spills over the pages of Peter's epistles like so many sparkling jewels, and in the final words of his letter, we are encouraged to grow in the grace of God that has been so freely bestowed on all who believe in His free gift of salvation.

• Salvation is simply God's gracious, unmerited, glorious, free gift to all who simply trust in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

• We are not required to worship on a specific day nor are we commanded to keep certain feast days, special festivals, or the many ordinances imposed by man; for as believers in the age of grace we are free from the bondage of law.
• As he shares the gospel of grace, Paul outlines the importance of not judging the behaviours of our Christian brethren, and specifically mentions what we eat and drink, what we wear, and how we worship, reminding us that Christ died and rose again to free us from the bondage of laws, codes, rituals, and ceremonies.

• Despite the local townsfolk trying to shackle him with chains, he broke free, for no one was strong enough to subdue him.

• In the same way the cursed creation eagerly awaits the day when it will also will be set free from its slavery to corruption..

• At salvation, they had all received the free gift of God's grace... but they were trying to replace that free unmerited gift of grace, which they had received by faith in Christ, with their own works of the law.
• These Christians had, of course, been saved by grace through faith in Christ, but instead of living their lives by grace through faith in Christ they had reverted back to a system whereby God's free gift of grace had been replaced with their own meritorious works of the law!!
• It is sad when spiritual development is halted, reversed, or twisted through legalistic practices as demonstrated by these Galatian Christians, or by using God's free gift of grace as a license to sin as exhibited by the Corinthian Christians. May we take our own spiritual growth and that of our brothers and sisters in Christ seriously so that Christ may be formed in us, to His praise and glory.

• Satan's prime objective is to turn the human race against the One Who made them in His own image; with a mind to think, emotions to express feelings, and a free-will to choose between the evil and the good.

• The commission Christ gave His own disciples at His Ascension was not simply a call to evangelise the lost (who certainly need to learn about God's free gift of salvation through Christ so that they can trust Him as Saviour), but it is equally a call for all believers to learn of Christ and to keep on learning of Him throughout their whole life, and even to become teachers of Christ as they grow in their Christian life.

• Whether Old Testament saints or New Testament believers, the only way to access this free and eternal gift from the Father is to trust in His Word and believe in His Son. 

• Paul wanted to emphasise that salvation is a free gift from God and not something we can earn through good works of the flesh.

• Christ alone is the life-giving spiritual manna from heaven that lasts through time and into eternity, and it is given as a free gift of His grace by faith to ALL who will trust in Him.

• The peace that flows from the grace of God embraces a multiplicity of meanings including peace with God, as a free gift of salvation to all that believe, as well as the peace of God which imparts a tranquillity of soul, which is beautifully bestowed through His Spirit of peace, into the heart of a believer who is walking in spirit and truth.

• Love is the fulfilment of the law, for the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set us all free from the law of sin and death.

• One of the many important free gifts of God's grace to all believers is that we are justified, we are made right with God, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
• Every person who has accepted the free gift of salvation through the shed blood of Christ has peace with God from the moment of salvation and continuing for the whole of their life.

• God in His grace invites us to live a life that is free from worry and devoid of anxieties by seeking first the kingdom of God and the righteousness with which we are clothed, when we trust in Him for salvation.

• He has sent Me to proclaim freedom to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free the oppressed.Jesus pronounced the fulfilment of this ancient prophecy from Isaiah, and the people there wondered at the gracious words that fell from His lips, yet they sought to slay Him for they could not accept the truth – but He passed through their midst, for His time had not yet arrived.Although Jesus was rejected in His hometown of Nazareth and an attempt was made to kill Him, He fulfilled this and many more astounding ancient prophecies, over the course of His life.The Spirit of God was indeed upon Him, for He submitted to the leading of the Spirit throughout His life, spoke only those things He heard from the Father, carried out His Father's will, and fulfilled every prophecy relating to His first advent.He did preach the good news of salvation to the poor, proclaiming freedom from sin, Satan, death, and hell – by faith in Him.

• It was sent to the Church in Rome and teaches salvation is by grace alone through faith in Christ, which has set us free from slavery to sin through the fleshly works of the Law. 

• While God shows no favouritism between rich and poor, because salvation is a free gift of grace to whosoever will believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, James does seem to imply that God extends special favour towards those that are poor, in respect of the riches of this world: Listen, my beloved brothers, he writes, has not God chosen those who are poor in the world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom, which he has promised to those who love him?
• God also knows that a poor man living in needy circumstances, a destitute widow without hope in the world, or a penniless orphan, is much more likely to grasp hold of God's great gift of salvation which is given freely to all, rather than a self-sufficient, affluent man, whose super-abundance of material possessions and worldly wealth renders him independent of God's provision and can even cause him to become disdainful of God's free gift of salvation.

• In his second letter to the Thessalonians, he asks the brethren: Pray for us, that the Word of the Lord may have free course and be glorified, even as it is with you. - while in his letter to the Colossians he writes from his prison cell: And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains.

• They are literally 'ordained to condemnation'  and because of their free-will choices they are written off beforehand.
• They are ordained to condemnation by their own free-will, for they chose not to believe in the only begotten Son of God.

• But there were other sheep in different sheep-folds for the Good Shepherd to care for, and so the Father also GAVE the same unique Son of His love because He loved the world so much that whosoever would believe on His name, would not perish and be condemned, but have everlasting life and be forever free from God's condemnation.

• He left His Father’s throne above,So free, so infinite His grace;Emptied Himself of all but love,And bled for Adam’s helpless race:’Tis mercy all, immense and free;For, O my God, it found out me.’Tis mercy all, immense and free;For, O my God, it found out me.

• We note that it was the head of the fathers' family that took the initiative to worship the Lord with a cheerful disposition in giving their free-will offerings.

• Spiritual JOY is from the Lord, and gives strength and rejoicing, even in the midst of problematic and painful circumstances, while spiritual PEACE is inner tranquillity and godly composure, that is free from anxiety through faith in God's Word.

• Because of man's free-will and fallen nature, slavery became a common practice in the human realm, and the Bible gives believers instructions on how to conduct oneself as a slave, as well as instruction for those who are their masters.Throughout the letters of Paul and the other apostles, we see that slavery was very common in biblical times.
• Indeed, it is recorded that there were over 60 million slaves in Paul's day, and much attention was given, in Scripture, to the instruction and conduct of slaves, as well as their slave-masters.People often offered themselves as slaves when they fell on hard times, and Paul gave important instructions on how to carry out their duties as unto the Lord, even when their masters were unfair.Although he gave instructions on godly living as a slave, Paul also encouraged those in slavery to secure their freedom whenever possible: If you are able also to become free, rather do that, was His wise advice.Of particular importance, it is to be noted that nowhere in Scripture are members of Christ's Body instructed to engage in the abolishment of slavery or the correction of any other social injustices, in preference to our given ministry to the lost.Jesus said, The poor you will have with you always, and Paul could easily have said, slaves will continue to be with you (however distasteful this is) until Christ's return when He comes to set up His earthly kingdom of peace, prosperity, righteousness, and justice.Although we must certainly stand against the evils of our day, protect those that are weak, help those that are afflicted by social injustices, and show patience towards all men, the preeminent function of the Christian Church is to honour the Lord and tell sinners about Jesus – that He died to pay the price for our sin and rose again so that all who believe on Him will not perish, but have eternal life.We are told to go into all the world and preach the word of truth to a lost and dying humanity.

• to set free those who are oppressed and to proclaim the favourable year of the Lord.

• God in His grace saved us by His own free will.

• But praise God that the verse continues with redemptive words of hope: But the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
• The forgiveness of sin (salvation of the soul and eternal life, which is part of the package of forgiveness) is a gift - a free gift - a free gift from God - an unconditional gift from God which demonstrates His amazing grace and unconditional love, and it is available to every-man, every sinner.
• Forgiveness of sins and eternal life is God's free gift which comes to all who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ: Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved, Paul told the Philippian jailer, while John tells us in his gospel: For God so love the world that He GAVE His only begotten Son so that all that BELIEVE ON HIM should not perish but have eternal life.
• The payment for sin is death, but Jesus received the payment on behalf of every man when He died on Calvary's cruel Cross: For the wages of sin is death; BUT the free gift of God is eternal life, THROUGH BELIEVING ON JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD.

• They are a free gift from God and are distributed to individual believers as He decides.

• Before we were born again, we had a spirit that was dead in trespasses and sins, but when we accepted Christ as our Saviour we were given a new life in Christ, a new, free, human spirit which is able to commune with His Holy Spirit.

• As members of the human race, we have the free will to choose from two established paths that God purposed into being in the beginning.

• Jesus told us: You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.
• The truth of God is found in His Word and points us to Jesus, Who is the Way, and the Truth, and the Life; and the truth shall set us free.

• They are likened to young calves who leap and skip with joy and free abandon when released from the confinement of their restrictive stalls.
• There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, for HE died to set us free.
• He is God, our Saviour Who has set us free from the slave-market of sin so that we can also go forth and skip about like calves from the stall.

• Like every descendent of Adam, they had a God-given conscience and a free-will to make choices.

• Christians are not given a list of legalistic rules and regulations of 'dos' and 'don'ts' in life, which would bring us into legalism, nor do we have 'free rein' to live irresponsibly.

• We need to believe that the wrath of God was poured out in full measure upon Christ Himself on our behalf so that we might be forgiven of our sins, clothed in His perfect righteousness, and receive eternal life as a free gift of God's grace, by faith.

• Our very life has been redeemed from the pit of the dead, for not only are we forgiven of our sins and the beneficiaries of eternal life, by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, but part of that free gift of grace was to redeem us from that pit of destruction that was prepared for the devil and his angels, and eternal separation from our heavenly King.

• It describes the incredible wonders and miracles that God performed, in order to set His people free from the iron yoke of Egyptian bondage.

• Christ did indeed die to pay the price for humanity's sin, but only those that trust in the Lord Jesus Christ as Saviour, experience His full and free forgiveness, forever.

• The eternal truth is that the Cross is offensive to legalists; very offensive because it insults the pride of those who want to make some sort of 'recompense' to God for their salvation, and having to accept salvation as a free gift is an affront to their vanity!

• Anyone who ventured outside would be left unprotected, and if she reported their spies' mission to the authorities, they would be free of their pledge.

• Paul probably planned to travel to Rome as a free man with other evangelists.

• There is also ONE baptism, and although many like to suggest that baptism in this verse refers to water baptism, it is the baptism of the Holy Spirit in the life of all who are born from above, about which he is speaking... for as Paul writes to the Corinthians: We were all baptised by one Spirit, so as to form one body-whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free.

• And it is by believing on HIM that salvation is given as a free gift of God's grace.

• As sinners saved by grace, we understand that the lavish liberality of the grace of God has been poured out on all those that trust in His name, for though we were dead in our trespasses and sins with no hope in the world, God sent His Son to die for us on the Cross and gave us a gift at enormous cost to Himself; a free gift of grace to all who believe, a gift which has eternal consequences.

• Because of His sinless life, death could not hold Him and His own perfect life was restored to Him when He was resurrected from the dead - and that perfect, sinless resurrected life of Christ is the free gift of God's grace to all who trust on His name for salvation.

• There is nothing in the vastness of the universe that compares with the length, and breadth, and depth, and height of God's free and unconditional love towards those that simply believe on the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation. 

• Every man and woman has a free-will choice to trust in Christ for salvation because the wrath of God against their sin and ours was paid at Calvary.

• The year of the Lord's favour is the Sabbatical year of Jubilee when all debt will be cancelled and all slaves will be set free.

• Oh, our eternal salvation is secure in Christ, for God will never renege on His promise that all who trust in Christ as Saviour will inherit eternal life as His free gift of grace, but we are also to walk worthy of Him in our Christian life, resulting in wonderful rewards.

• The Father's offer of salvation is open to whosoever will come as a free gift of grace.

• We are told elsewhere, that in Christ there is neither male nor female, Jew nor Gentile, slave nor free, but that we are all one in Christ.

• For by faith in His death and Resurrection, the power of sin in their lives had been severed, its deathly consequences had been destroyed, and they had all been set free from the curse of the Law.
• But thanks be to God, that the Lord Jesus came to free us from bondage to sin and the curse of the Law.
• Sadly, believers become enslaved to rules and regulations instead of being free to live their lives in the liberty we have in Christ, by grace through faith.

• Sadly, most have denied the Truth, refused the Light, and rejected God's free gift of eternal life and the forgiveness of sins.

• We must not confuse the rewards we receive for holy living with the free gift of salvation which we received freely by grace through faith in Christ.

• The best way to identify false doctrine or a Christian cult, is to study the Word of God so you know the truth and the truth will set you free.
• He urges these believers not to impose worldly rites, rituals, and regulations upon themselves, when their position in Christ has set them free from the curse of the Law.
• We need not study the finer details of gnosticism, legalism, mysticism, asceticism, or any other false teaching or demonic doctrine to identify error, but we do need to study the Word of God, which points to the Person and work of CHRIST, so that we know the truth, and the truth will set us free.

• He had been anointed by God to tell the good news to the poor, to announce freedom to the prisoners, to give sight to the blind, and set oppressed people free.

• He explains that it is through Christ that we have peace with God, and it is by grace through faith in Him that we have access to this free gift of salvation.
• And as we read through this fifth chapter of Romans, we discover that this astonishing free gift of salvation, which is accessed by faith alone in Christ alone, is multiplied into an even greater and a much more wonderful truth: Having now been justified by His blood, we will also be saved from the wrath of God, all because of our faith in Christ.

• However, God placed one restriction on the man created in His own image, to test him: You are free to eat from ANY tree of the garden, Adam was told, but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for on the day you eat from it, you will certainly die. Adam was made with a 'mind' to think and a 'free-will' with which to make choices, but he was also given one command to follow, to test his fidelity: Do not eat from the tree of the knowledge.
• God only told us we are free to eat of any tree except this one tree, and because I love Him I will obey His Word.

• He not only died as our substitute by receiving the punishment we justly deserve, but He also died TO sin on behalf of us; to set us free from sin's sovereignty over us.

• Throughout Scripture, we discover verse after verse that reminds us that the love of God caused Him to send His only begotten Son to die on the Cross for our redemption, and it was by the grace of God that His free gift of eternal life is given to whosoever will believe on Jesus Christ as Saviour. 
• God gave man free will to choose or to reject His gracious offer of salvation, but God in His omniscience knew, from before the foundation of the world, who would accept His gift and who would reject it.
• We read in Romans 8 that God foreknew all who would exercise their free will and choose to accept Christ as their Saviour.
• Indeed, it is not God's will that anyone should perish but that all should come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and so be given eternal life, and there are a multitude of heavenly benefits that flow from this free gift of salvation, given to all who trust in Jesus as Saviour.

• God does not promise to keep our lives free from difficulties and danger.

• His never changing character, His all-sufficient wisdom, and His free gift of grace to all who trust in Christ, gives stability to the soul and rest to the heart.
• The unchangeable nature of our Saviour, Jesus Christ, is an all-embracing assurance that His Word is faithful, and His promises are true, His saving grace is free to all who trust in Him for salvation, and none of the many precious promises contained in the Word of God can ever fail.

• Some choose to ignore, question, dismiss, or challenge our 'election', because they consider it conflicts with the doctrine of human responsibility and man's volition, while others reject the doctrine of man's freewill choice in salvation and teach that salvation depends on God's sovereign will alone, without any free-will option for man, but the Bible teaches both God's sovereign will AND man's free-will choice. 
• Both the sovereignty of God (predestination/God's election) and man's sovereignty (free-will/ man's volition) are taught in the Bible, but those who hold to one without consideration of the other (Calvinism vs Arminianism) are correct in certain aspects of their teachings while being wrong in others.

• Since we have been raised to a new life in Christ and since, by God's grace, we have been clothed in Christ's righteousness, given the free gift of eternal life, been showered with every spiritual blessing, received a heavenly inheritance, and been seated with Christ in heavenly places, we are called to set our hearts and minds on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honour at God's right hand.

• In other words, they simply remain in spiritual infancy and keep repeating the first stage of their Christian faith, over and again, without pressing on to spiritual maturity.Many are falsely taught that becoming a Christian will secure a quiet life and provide a ticket to prosperity, with numerous earthly blessings and a free pass from God, to prevent or remove any difficulties or dangers that may arise.

• And yet like his Creator, man was given the ability to communicate through speech, the power to reason with his mind, the free will to make wise choices, the capacity to work, and the privilege to express his inner feeling through a variety of God-given emotions.

• Salvation is a free gift of God's grace to guilty sinners through faith in Christ.
• Eternal life and inheriting the kingdom is a human impossibility, but with God, it is not only possible, but a free gift of God's grace, which is generously bestowed on all who believe in Christ's finished work on Calvary's cross.

• He warned them not to have dealings with anything which might entice them back under the satanic yoke and idol worship from which Christ had set them free.

• But how often we desire a life that is free from trouble and swimming in happy blessings.

• He alone can heal the broken-hearted, rescue those that are perishing, and set the captive free from the weighty burden of sin.

• Lusting after money and the intense desire to gain more money and increase worldly wealth, is what is being spoken about here.Similarly, the love of money is not the single source of evil, as is so often implied in the secular song, mentioned above – but that the love of money is one of many ungodly ways that entices us into various sins and wickedness.Indeed, the context of this verse must also be considered, for Paul is contrasting the tranquil attitude of godly contentment and gratitude with a greedy craving for wealth, an insatiable hankering after riches, or the materialist mind-set which is embodied in a fallen world.One of the qualities that Paul lists in a church elder or overseer, earlier in the book, is that he is gentle, peaceable, and free from the love of money, for when godliness springs from a contented heart it is a great asset in a child of God.We should never forget that we came into this world with nothing... and when we die, we will take nothing from it.

• God's way is by faith, and salvation is a free and irreversible gift of God's grace to man.

• The only condition to receive His free gift of salvation is to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved.

• What godly lives we would live if it were not for the foibles of others!But this life is fraught with disappointments and disturbances and we are warned that murmuring is the consequence of unbelief, while disputing is the product of a discontented heart which brings in its wake grievances, disease, envy, and sin, as exemplified in Israel’s forty-year long wilderness wanderings when the people murmured against God's wisdom and complained about His gracious provision.God, in His wisdom, knows that patient-endurance, humility of heart, and a soul that trusts in the Lord, does not spring forth from a stress-free life but is the out-working of a man or woman who has received God’s sufficient grace to face any temptation or trial which may happen along the way.Paul knew that a Christ-like character is not birthed from a bed of ease and that blameless integrity and spiritual maturity takes many long years, if not a lifetime, to fully develop as one is tried like silver or honed in a millstone of suffering. God uses the storms, sadness, disappointments, and dangers of everyday life, as well as the difficult people that cross our path, to conform us into the likeness of Christ.Let us, therefore, resist the temptation to enter into murmurings and disputes with one another and let us trust the Lord in all things so that our lives will be a living sacrifice that becomes, to Him, a sweet fragrance and we will become blameless and pure children of God, without fault in this warped and crooked generation.

• We are to keep our hearts free from fretting and worry and this can only be achieved as we cast all our care and concern on the Lord Jesus, for He cares for us.

• Those that exercise their free will and refuse to believe on His name will pay the penalty of eternal destruction.

• The phrase, 'the saving of the soul' in this verse, does not refer to eternal salvation - which is a free gift of God's grace and can never be taken away.

• Salvation is indeed by grace alone - through faith alone - in Christ alone, but never let us ignore that tremendous price that God Himself had to pay so that you and I could be given this free gift of salvation.

• Not only have we been declared righteous by faith but also we have been given the indwelling Spirit of life in Christ Jesus, which has set us free from enslavement to the old sin nature and freed us from the power of sin in our daily lives.

• Such men and women have rejected God's free gift of salvation by faith and have lives that are characterised by conflict with God, discord with God, disobedience towards God, and the disputing the truth of of God's Word.
• They do not follow the Way and obey the Truth but rather they go their own way, they disobey the truth, and in so doing they reject God's free offer of salvation; the forgiveness of sins and life everlasting.
• But every soul of man who does evil by rejecting God's free offer of salvation, is condemned already.

• Christ Jesus was God's free gift of grace to every member of the human race. 
• Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, was God's free, indescribable, inestimable gift of grace that was given freely to every man and woman without any strings attached.

• He not only insists that we are truly free because Christ has set us free, but gives guidance on how to avoid becoming enslaved, once again, under the Law.

• Christ was now the risen, ascended, glorified Lord of glory, Whose personal ministry on earth had been superseded by the ministry of reconciliation, where every member of His Body is a full and free participant.

• God knows the end from the beginning and in His omniscience, He knows all who will one day exercise their God-given free-will and choose to believe on the only begotten Son of God for the salvation of their soul, the forgiveness of sins, and life everlasting.
• Salvation has been made available to all who exercise their free-will and come to Christ for God's free gift of salvation.
• But it is man's free will choice to do so.
• Those who are saved are simply those who have chosen to believe God's Word and by faith have trusted Christ as Saviour, while those who perish are simply those who have chosen to reject God's free gift of grace.

• Our behaviour should be friendly, congenial, gracious, and welcoming, and we should be free from the love of money and the lust of the flesh. 

• The eternal, uncreated Son of God, Creator of heaven and earth, and second Person of the Triune Godhead Who upholds all things by the omnipotent power of His mighty hand, was to come to earth and to be born as a little tiny, vulnerable baby boy, in a prepared human body that was free from sin.

• He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free those who are oppressed; to proclaim the favourable year of the Lord.

• He had been saved by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus and set free from the curse of the Law.

• May we develop a character that is free from the love of money and may we strive to be content in all things, knowing that He Himself has promised to be with us in all the changing scenes of our lives.

• He longed to be set free from his afflictions through death and the grave.

• Judgement is coming but those who have trusted in Christ as Saviour have already had their sins judged at the Cross, but those who have rejected His free offer of salvation will have to stand before Him as condemned sinners.
• How vital to let them know that the free gift of God is salvation.

• God knows our daily needs before we even ask, but too often this verse is interpreted as a free-for-all to squander our money and other God-given resources on selfish desires instead of acting as wise stewards of God's provision.

• No family can thrive and prosper if God is not the Head of that home, no church community will flourish and become fruitful unless, personally and jointly, they have placed the Lord in His rightful place, and no country can be protected from the enemy or remain free from destruction if the Lord's authority is denied, for unless the Lord builds a house, its builders labour over it in vain; unless the Lord watches over a city, the watchman stays alert in vain.

• We have received a free and full salvation and have been quickened and made alive, by faith in Christ.
• We have an inheritance reserved for us in heaven and have been sealed by the Spirit of God Who permanently indwells our mortal bodies - and the law of the Spirit of life has set us free from the law of sin and death.

• Whether he was free or chained up in a Roman jail, he would bow his knee and surrender his heart to his heavenly Father and glorified Lord.

• Whether we are rich or poor, young or old, male or female, slave or free, our trust should rest securely in God's provision.

• Christ Jesus was born into the human race to be our sin-substitute, but He also gave each man and women a freewill to choose to accept or to reject His offer of salvation; to either believe in the death, burial, and Resurrection of Christ, or to refuse to believe in this free gift of grace.
• Every person has a choice to accept salvation as a free gift of grace or to reject His gracious offer.
• God does not will that anyone should perish. Indeed, He longs that all should come to repentance and faith in Christ, but God knew in advance that not all would use their free-will to make the right choice.

• The glorious hope we have in Him is for bond and free, male and female, old and young, rich and poor.There is no one excluded from this glorious promise which already is 'yes' and 'amen' in Christ, according to His riches in mercy... and it encompasses plenteous redemption and abundance of life in the eternal ages to come.

• And for you and me, it is also an act of our free-will to submit all we think and say and do to the leading of the Holy Spirit of God, if we are to do the good works of God.

• And God gave man a free-will to believe on Him or reject His offer of salvation.
• this does not mean that all men will be saved, for man is given a free-will to choose to accept God's free gift of salvation or to reject His offer of grace, but it does mean that God is doing all He can to save sinful man from eternal separation from Himself.

• No one is excluded for all have sinned and so all need a Saviour, but sadly not all will choose to accept God's free gift of salvation.
• Christ died for all, and salvation is a free gift of grace that is available to whosoever will believe on the Lord Jesus Christ as Saviour, but the gift of His resurrection life is only for those that trust in Him as Saviour.

• The burnt offering was not a legal requirement, but a free-will gift of love which is given to the Lord.

• Paul was passionate that the elect of God may, like him, obtain a full and free salvation in Christ Jesus, and to finish the work to which God had called them to do so that they may obtain the glorious crown and the reward of eternal glory, which is promised to all God's children.
• His dear desire was not only that the unsaved came to faith in Christ, but that all the elect of God (the Body of Christ, which is the Church) were taught how to walk by faith, to grow in grace, and mature in the faith so that they may obtain all the many benefits of their full and free salvation; spirit, soul, and body.

• God purposed in the eternal council chambers of heaven that fallen man would be given eternal life as a free gift of grace through faith in the redeeming blood of His only begotten Son.

• The free, unmerited gift of eternal life to all who believe in His name is the most wonderful addition to our redemption, but His glorious Resurrection from the dead is beyond our comprehension.

• And so, Jesus used a beautiful Old Testament illustration to demonstrate to this highly educated Jewish rabbi that salvation is a free gift of grace which can be accepted or rejected by faith: For as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, on the Cross, to pay the price for the sin of the world.

• We read that we are justified by grace through faith in the only begotten Son of God, and that we are clothed in His righteousness, redeemed by His blood, made a new creation in Christ, and set free from slavery to the world, the flesh, the devil, and the Law.

• They would to go forth into the world to tell the good news of the gospel of grace - to Jew and Gentile alike, and that whoever believed in Him would not perish, but become children of God, be clothed in Christ's righteousness, and receive everlasting life - as a free gift of God's grace.

• All who believe on Christ are rescued from the bondage of sin, set free from enslavement to Satan, redeemed by the blood of the Lamb, and are adopted into God's family; heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ.

• But the free gift of salvation, available to all, rests on one act of righteousness carried out by the only perfect member of the human race, Jesus Christ.
• No wonder Paul was able to proclaim: The gift is not like that which came through the one who sinned; for on the one hand judgment arose from one transgression resulting in condemnation, but on the other hand the free gift arose from many transgressions, resulting in justification. 
• As overwhelming as this gift of justification by faith in Christ may be, there is so much more associated with our free gift of salvation.

• He died to set us free from the influence and power of sin.
• He died TO sin so that we could be set free from the old sin nature that has been imputed into the lives of all humanity.

• The holy Lamb of God was slain from the foundation of the world so that all rebellious human-kind could be offered the free gift of redemption for the forgiveness of sins, an escape from death's cruel sting, a release from the curse of the Law, and eternal salvation with life more abundant.

• All are equal in the sight of God... whether Jew or Gentile, rich or poor, bond or free, young or old.

• He had come to bring good tidings to the meek, hope to the poor, salvation to the afflicted, liberty for those that were bound by chains of sin, and freedom to those that were enslaved by Satan. Jesus had come to bind up the brokenhearted, comfort those that were afflicted, proclaim physical and spiritual liberty to the captives, and to free those who were imprisoned by Satan.

• He is the only Way to the Father, the only Truth about God, in Whom is Life eternal for all who trust in Him.And we, who by rights should have death as our payment for sin, have been redeemed by His blood, given the free gift of salvation in Christ, clothed in His perfect righteousness, promised eternal life in heaven, become part of a new creation in Christ, and adopted into God’s own family.

• All is given as a free gift of God's grace. By grace and through grace, they would be blessed with the living water of life and partake freely of the wine of God's joy.

• For 2000 years, God has stayed his hand of judgement on a Christ-rejecting sinful world, answering the prayer of Stephen that Jew and Gentile alike have been offered the free gift of salvation by grace through faith in Christ and brought into the family of God.

• The regenerate man is no longer in bondage to the principle of sin that entraps all who are born into the fallen race of Adam. The man or woman who has been saved by grace through faith in Christ has been set free from slavery to sin and is returned into fellowship with God from the moment of salvation.
• Because we are in Christ and identified with His nature we have been set free from the power of sin and can be instructed not to let sin have sway in our body and not to obey the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life.
• In Him, we are truly set free from sin and have the power to resist the old sin nature and live the life of the new man - which honours the Lord.
• Our old sin nature has been crucified in Christ which has set us free from the penalty of sin and its power over us, Let us, from this day forward, reckon on the truth that we have been legally set free from sin because Christ paid the full price for our sin and we are no longer under its condemnation.

• Paul explains: One person is free to regard one day above another day, a fellow believer may exercise his freedom to regard every day alike.
• And Paul is giving guidelines on the free-will choices we have in life and the attitude we should adopt towards those who choose an alternative.

• In this chapter, Paul makes it clear that trying to live under the Law would invalidate the supreme sacrifice of Christ, and salvation would no longer be a free gift, but a meritorious work.
• We are free from the burden of having to constantly strive for perfection because we are already accepted and beloved of God.

• God's assessment of all men, whether Jew or Gentile, bond or free, male of female, moral or immoral, black or white, old or young, the pagan and the saved are: All under sin.

• They were brought out of the land of Egypt and the bars on their yokes, that had enchained them for so long, were shattered, and once more they were free to walk upright and in freedom.
• He is the same precious Saviour Who died to set us free from slavery to sin and the chains of death.

• They had to understand that in Him, we have been set free from the curse of the Law.
• The wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life to all who believe that Christ died for our sin according to the Scripture and was raised from the dead according to God's written Word.

• Jesus went through ALL this so that He might free you and me... and all those who, through fear of death, are subject to slavery throughout life.
• We were slaves of sin and we were enslaved by Satan because of our sin - and yet Christ willingly sacrificed His own sinless life, so that He might free ALL, who through fear of death, were subjected to slavery. How sad that so many refuse to be saved by rejecting God's offer of salvation, as a free gift which is ours by God's grace - through faith.

• Paul taught the Galatian believers that salvation is from the Lord and that it is received as a free gift of grace through faith in Jesus Christ.

• Daniel realised that the time was fast approaching when God's promise to the children of Israel recorded in Jeremiah, to free them from their 70-year captivity in Babylon and to return them to their homeland in Israel, was fast approaching.

• He healed the broken-hearted and set captives free from bondage to sin.

• There is only one message of salvation from our Father in heaven and that is: Salvation is a free gift of God's grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone.

• We are to keep in close communication with our Lord - and enjoy sweet fellowship with our Heavenly Father.We are to seek the Lord and to keep on seeking Him, for by Him and through Him we will know the truth and the truth will set us free.

• And this offer of salvation and the escape from God's wrath, is open to all: For it is not God's will that anyone should perish but that all should come to repentance, In other words, any unbeliever who changes their mind about the Lord Jesus Christ, believes on Him, and receives His free gift of salvation, will not perish but be saved and receive everlasting life.

• Christ's death was in payment for the sin of the whole world: For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord, so that whosoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life, and this is God's free gift of grace.

• The man or woman that has been cleansed from sin, by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus, is encouraged to draw ever closer to the Lord with fervent faith because they are a new creation in Christ whose heart has been made free from the sense of sin and whose body is washed with clean water.
• For our guilty consciences have been set free from the guilt of sin, through Christ’s precious, redeeming blood.

• It tells of the practical benefits we gain, the way to live godly in Christ Jesus, the place of the Law in our lives, and how the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus has set us free from the Law of sin and death.

• The gospel message was given to Paul by divine revelation: That Christ died for our sins, that He was buried, and rose again, and Paul reminds us that we received our salvation as a free gift of grace, through faith in the death, burial, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
• We must not add to this free gift by attaching the need for additional works of the Law, nor must we diminish the full message of the blood-stained Cross which covers the Person and work of Christ at Calvary.

• To those who are lost and perishing, to those who have not trusted in the shed blood of Christ for the forgiveness of sins and God's free gift of eternal life, the message of the Cross is insane madness, stupid silliness, and illogical idiocy.

• When Israel failed in their mission the first time and were exiled to Babylon, God purposed to use Cyrus, a Persian emperor, to move His eternal plan of redemption forward and to set the Jewish exiles free from their 70-year long captivity in Babylon so that they could obey His command to tell the world that God is the Lord.

• Let us honour the One Who was despised of men, rejected by His people and nailed to a cruel tree, so that whosoever would believe on His name would be forever set free from the wages of death, which we all so justly deserve.

• There is nothing that needs to be added to Christ's finished work on the Cross, and there is nothing we can do to make our salvation more secure than it already is - for in Christ we are saved as a free gift of grace, by believing: Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again the third day.

• Being baptised with the Holy Spirit into the Body of Christ is perhaps one of the most misunderstood concepts in the Bible, but perhaps 1 Corinthians 12:13 offers the clearest description of this once-for-all, supernatural event that takes place in the life of every Christian, the moment they place their faith in Christ for the forgiveness of sins and life everlasting: For in the power of one Spirit, we have all been baptised into one Body; we have been placed INTO Christ's Body; we have become a Member of Christ's Body, which is the Church, whether Jews or Greeks, whether bondmen or free, and have all been given to drink of one Spirit.

• This proud lawyer was under the false illusion that he could do something to gain eternal life and Christ used the Mosaic Law to demonstrate that this man needed to be born again and to be saved in order to receive eternal life as God's free gift.

• We should be so grateful for our great salvation, which has set us free from the bondage of sin and promised us eternal life, together with the many benefits that are ours in Christ.

• Man has been given a free will to accept the light of the glorious gospel of grace, and all who trust in Him for salvation will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life as an abiding presence within.

• Paul points out that the law dictates that a wife is not free to marry another man while she is married to her husband.

• Should we not in humility of heart and poverty of spirit accept God's gracious free gift of salvation?

• But it is only by faith alone in Christ alone that salvation is given as a free gift of God's grace.

• There is no partiality with God and there should be none on our side either, for whether Jew or Gentile, male or female, young or old, bond or free... the Lord alone is worthy of ALL our combined praises and worship and His name should be lifted up in continuous prayer and never-ceasing jubilation by those that are called by His name.

• Let us continue to sound the alarm of God's approaching judgement to those that are lost in their sin and blinded to the truth, and pray that in His wrath God will graciously remember mercy, knowing that the day is coming when those that have rejected His offer of salvation and free gift of eternal life, will have to stand before His Great White Throne of terrible judgement and have to face an eternity without God and without hope.

• We are free from any form of legalism.
• The freedom we have in Christ sets us free from the restrictions of legalistic rituals and religious regulations BUT we must be careful that we do not become entrapped in any activity which places us in bondage - or allow it to become an obsession in our life.

• Passover was the great historical event that God used to free Israel from Egyptian slavery, and later it was instituted by Moses, as one of God's special Feast Days for His people.

• Many Jews readily responded to the glorious gospel of Christ in those early days of Christendom, but many found it difficult to break free of the religious rites and legal requirements that bound them to the curse of the Law.
• May we take note of the emphasis Hebrews places on the supremacy and importance of Christ, which has set us free from the curse of the Law.
• Let us rejoice that the life-giving power of the Spirit through union with Christ Jesus, has set us free from the power of sin and death.

• He is able, He is able, I know my Lord is able,I know my Lord is able to carry me through.He is able, He is able, I know my Lord is able,I know my Lord is able to carry me through.He heals the brokenhearted, He sets the captive free,He makes the lame to walk again, and He makes the blind to see.He is able, He is able, I know my Lord is able,I know my Lord is able to carry me through.

• We are set free from the power of darkness (Col. 1:13) and saved from the wrath to come (1 Thess. 1:10).

• But the Word of the Lord also contains some severe warnings for both nations and individuals as well as many lovely promises and none of us are free from the difficulties and dangers of life, nor are we exempt from the corrective hand of our God and His rod of discipline in our life and on our world, as Jeremiah also discovered.

• Now, as then, any form of legalist work that is insisted upon as being a necessary addition to God's free gift of salvation by faith alone in Christ's death, burial, and Resurrection, is strongly to be rejected, and Paul spends two whole chapters in this book of Galatians using the strongest possible language in defence of justification by faith in Christ's finished work on Calvary's Cross alone.
• And through the teaching of the apostle Paul, God demands that we too recognise that salvation is His free gift of grace to all who will trust in Christ's finished work at Calvary. 

• Jesus died to free us from our own slavery to sin, returning us into glorious fellowship with our Creator God.

• The people that were present during the life, ministry, death, burial, and Resurrection of Jesus belong to a unique generation because their life spanned the closing years of the pre-Cross dispensation of the Law (when Christ offered the kingdom to Israel, who rejected it), and the post-Resurrection dispensation of grace (where salvation is a free gift of God's grace, to all who will believe in Christ's death, burial and Resurrection for the forgiveness of our sin).

• Irrespective of nationality or colour, whether male or female, old or young, bond or free, Paul reminds us that all have turned away; together they have become useless.

• What a great distinction between the time when we were dead in our trespasses and sins and without God in the world, and the wonderful day when we began to believe in the only begotten Son of the Father, for our full and free salvation.
• We who were condemned have been made free.

• Eternal life is a free gift to EVERYONE who believes in Jesus for salvation... and cannot be earned or maintained by good works.

• John had been filled with the Spirit of truth and was present when the Lord Jesus Christ proclaimed: You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free.
• Let us remember the words of Jesus: If you abide in my Word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.

• Then the inner man delights in the law of the Spirit of life Who has set us free from the law of sin and death.

• Every detail of Christ's conception and birth appears to be rooted in problems and difficulties, far removed from the smooth, stress-free time one would expect for the arrival of the only begotten Son of God into the world, and yet, every aspect of His first advent was planned from the foundation of the world, and every day of Christ's life was scheduled to carry out the will of the Father.

• OH while I live in this fallen body, my sinful nature lusts against my new life in Christ BUT I am no longer a slave to sin and under the curse of the Law because Christ has set me free!

• As guilty members of the old creation we were under God's condemnation, but by faith in Christ's redeeming work, we are part of a new creation, which has been set free from the requirements of the Law and have been declared forgiven saints.

• Only Christ can set us free from the law of sin and death.
• The only way that the sinful propensity of our old sin nature can be set free and separated from the legal requirement of God's perfect Law in this earthly life is the death of our 'old man' - severance from our old sin nature.
• Through Christ we have been released from a contractual bondage to the Law, having died to that by which we were bound so that in Christ we are set free to serve in newness of the Spirit and not bound to oldness of the letter.

• Jesus was free from every fear because His trust was in God.

• Many believers think that our Christian life should be problem-free and devoid of trials, and yet Jesus warned that in this world we will have tribulation, while Paul also reminds us that we must, through much tribulation, enter into the kingdom of God.

• We have been clothed in the righteousness of Christ and there are numerous other eternal privileges and promises that have been given to us as a free gift of God's grace - by faith in Him.

• If we trust in the person and work of Jesus, we are saved by faith in Him, and saved unto eternal life as a free gift of God's grace.

• By returning to the Law of Moses, these Judaisers were turning away from the gospel of salvation, which comes as a free gift of grace from God to all who believe on the death, burial, and Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.

• The truth is that those who see God... have already been given a pure heart, as a free gift of God's grace, by faith.

• God knows those who through their free-will choice will trust in the death, burial, and Resurrection of Christ for salvation during their lifetime on earth, and it is because God is omniscient that He knows ahead of time the choices each one of us will make.

• We, whom God knew would accept His free gift of salvation became 'called' the very moment we first believed on the only begotten Son of God.

• All believers, whether Jew or Gentile, male or female, old or young, bond or free, were to become part of the mystical Body of Christ, which is the Church.

• At the appropriate time, she allows the little eaglet to free-fall from its secure perch, but quickly swoops down, only to catch the baby bird in the safety of her feathers - until he has learned to spread his own wings and soar into the heavens.

• NO, we are not appointed to wrath, but for obtaining full and free salvation, through our Lord Jesus Christ.

• No doubt they had heard that some considered Him to be their long-awaited Messiah, and as they sat there in the prison walls of their own blind darkness, they must have realised this was their opportunity to be set free.

• Oh, our eternal life is a free gift of grace, but we have the opportunity to lay up for ourselves treasure in our heavenly home.

• They taught that salvation was gained by works of the Law and not as a free gift of God's grace.
• Because of the opposition to his teaching and ministry, it was necessary for Paul to not only defend the truth of the gospel that he taught and justify his own apostolic calling, but to clarify the true gospel of salvation that he taught; that every man, Jew and Gentile alike, is a guilty sinner who is under God's eternal condemnation, who can only be declared righteous by God through FAITH in Christ Jesus. And so Paul penned his epistle to the Galatians to vehemently condemn their false teaching and meticulously set out the one and only way to be saved - as a free gift of God's grace which is accessed by Jews and Gentiles alike - BY FAITH.

• God is Sovereign and because we are made in His image, we have been given a free will - our sovereign will - and it is exhibited in the choices we make, the options we choose, and the preferences we select.

• Nothing can bridge the gap from nothingness to something, from an inanimate object to a self-conscious living being with an eternal soul, a free-will to make choices between good and evil, and a conscience to guide those decisions.

• They had been set free from the bondage of slavery, by grace through faith.

• He denounces Asceticism and severe self-discipline as a means of gaining God's favour, rather than salvation being a free gift of God's grace by faith in the finished work of Christ Jesus.

• This new life in Christ is given to each believer as a free and eternal gift of God's grace.

• Christ's sacrificial death at Calvary is the greatest demonstration of the love of God for mankind, for God demonstrated His deep love towards us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us. The Son of God was made sin for us and the great design of the gospel of grace is full and free reconciliation; unconditional peace with God.

• He took the punishment we deserve and whosoever believes on Him will not remain under eternal damnation but receive everlasting life, as a free gift of God's grace.

• Salvation is God's free gift of grace to all who believe; salvation is not a reward.
• Salvation is offered as a free gift to ALL - by faith, and born-again believers are to live by faith.
• Indeed, it is a great comfort to all God's children that He is no respecter of persons, whether we are Jew, Gentile, male, female, young, old, bond or free... for God is unbiased - and we should follow His example.

• These shortsighted neighbours of Jesus were unable to shake free from the weighty biases with which they had become entrenched.

• Act as free men, and do not use your freedom as a covering for evil, but use it as bond-slaves of God.

• Jesus is the one Who heals the brokenhearted and Jesus is the one Who sets the captives free.

• The psalmist is not referring to the specifics of the Mosaic Law in this verse, but to the undivided law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus which has made us free from the law of sin and death.

• That the Lord Jesus was sent into the world to deliver Adam's fallen race from sin and death, and to offer ALL who would believe on Christ, God's free gift of salvation. Jesus came instructing us to deny ungodliness and to abstain from worldly desires.

• And so it was not his question on inheritance that immediately grabbed Christ's attention... for forgiveness of sins, eternal life and a heavenly inheritance is God's free gift to all who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ as their perfect Kinsman-Redeemer and substitute for sin.

• But God in His goodness and grace determined that He would redeem mankind from this shocking state of slavery into which we had fallen, as a totally free gift to all who would believe in the sacrificial death and glorious Resurrection of His only begotten Son, by faith.
• God's redemptive act would be offered as a free gift of grace to all who would believe, but it could not be earned or paid for.

• But spiritual blindness, the hypocrisy of their leaders, and disobedience to God's written Word, would result in Christ's rejection by the nation He love, and a gracious invitation being extended to all who would hear His Word and accept His free gift of salvation, both Jew and Gentile alike.

• Legalism belittles the glorious grace of God by erroneously requiring some form of human merit to secure God's unconditional, free gift of salvation.
• OR, we are justified by receiving salvation as a free gift from God, by faith in the Person and Work of the Lord Jesus Christ.
• THIS salvation is a free gift of God's GRACE and open to all men to receive.
• It is either through keeping the entire Law OR given as a free gift of Grace.
• Both are mutually exclusive and cannot be combined or co-mingled. 'LAW' severs a sinner from Christ and His free gift salvation.
• When an unsaved man or woman seeks to be made right with God through keeping the Law, they have cut themselves off from the one and only way to be saved - as a free gift of God's grace - by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

• How sad that there are those who refuse Christ's offer of salvation and by their own free-will place themselves back under condemnation, through time and into eternity.

• Paul knew that when we see Him we shall be like Him - dressed in immortality and free from the curse of sin.

• All are welcome to participate in the free gift of salvation which is given freely, by faith in Christ's finished work on Calvary.

• One that He mentions, is of the man or woman dead in their trespasses and sins who comes to Christ for the forgiveness of sins, and by grace through faith in Him are raised into newness of life and receive the free gift of life everlasting.
• And we know that this is eternal life: That they know God and Jesus Christ Whom He has sent. But those who rejected God's free gift of salvation will come forth from their earthly grave into the resurrection of condemnation.
• Those who stubbornly reject God's free offer of salvation will be judged on their good works.
• Those who rejected His free gift of salvation, and who are not 'in-Christ' will also hear His voice, but they will come forth to the resurrection of condemnation for one reason only: Because they have not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

• This reassuring chapter reminds us that we are free of God's judgement and condemnation because we are in Christ and we are released from the curse of the law, slavery to sin, and Satan's accusations.

• Jesus came to heal the broken-hearted and set the captive free and His Holy Spirit understands - He knows, He loves, and He cares for each one of us, so draw closer to His arms of comfort, and trust in His love today, for a day is coming where there will no longer be any mourning, crying, or pain.

• However, we all have a free-will and are able to oppose the godly compunctions of our inner consciences, which causes the rebellious heart to become seared and calloused when it ignores the inner directive to do what is good and eschew what is evil.

• But God desires that we live holy lives in the liberty of our free-will, and not by having to comply with restrictive rules of legalism - and the Word of God is our guide.

• It is given as a free gift to all who believe.

• Following the Cross, we live in the dispensation of God's grace... and although we have clear criteria on how to live godly lives, we are set free from the bondage of the Law.

• It was through his ministry that the mystery of the glorious gospel of grace, which was hidden in ages past, was made known to the Gentile nations; that all who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ (whether Jew or Gentile, male or female, old or young, bond or free) might be saved by grace through faith in Him.
• It is not God's will that any should perish, and so salvation is given as a free gift of God's grace to as many received Him, and Paul was the chosen vessel of God.

• They would tell the world that by faith, they would be free from the condemnation of death, which is upon all men due to sin, and by faith they would receive the free gift of everlasting life.

• The conditions of the Law were not set aside, but through the birth of Christ into the human race and His sinless life and ministry to the lost sheep of the house of Israel, God purposed that Jesus would fulfil every legal requirements of God's holy Law on behalf of every fallen sinner - and the single requirement to benefit from His sacrificial death and glorious Resurrection, was faith in HIM - to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ - and by believing, be given salvation as a free gift of God's grace: Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved.

• They found it hard to break free from the nation's historic roots in Judaism, which were bound by the old, broken covenant, the sacrifice of animals for the temporary atonement of sin, and continuous condemnation from the Mosaic Law-of-death into the recently birthed freedom of Christianity.
• They had to break free of the restrictive rites, rituals, and religiosity that enslaved them under the Law, and they had to embrace the law-of-the-Spirit-of-Life in Christ Jesus.

• Jew and Gentile, old and young, male and female, bond and free, are all exhorted to: Enter His gates with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise. Everyone is summoned to: Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, and to: Bless His holy name forever, for Christ died to pay the price of our sins and is risen to give us life immortal.

• We are to walk in the Spirit and be led by the Holy Spirit of God, for when we submit to His leading and guidance we are delivered from a life of bondage to all sorts of fleshly inclinations and set free from legalistic practices, laid down by law.

• The dimensions of Christ's love for His Church are unfathomable and enfold all those who will trust in His name for salvation, whether they be Jew or Gentile, bond or free, male or female, black or white, young or old.

• God's free gift of salvation was not only for the Jews but reaches out to whosoever will believe on the name of the only begotten Son of God, whether they are Jew or Gentile, for all have equal access to His goodness and grace and all receive His forgiveness and life everlasting, by faith in Jesus Christ the righteousness.

• Christ's messianic credentials were authenticated through the mighty signs and miracles He performed in Israel, causing the crowds to wonder if He was going to set up His Messianic Kingdom there and then and free them from the tyrannical rule of their Roman overlords.

• We have been given a secure, permanent, and eternal position, which is a free gift of God's super-abounding grace to all who trust in Christ as Saviour.

• He wanted the horrors of life that surrounded him, at that time, to be removed far away... but David had to learn that you can't run away from the circumstances of life, you can't escape from those that would do you harm, you can't live in this world and be free from trials and tribulations, you can't fly away to a deserted place and be at rest, for we live in a fallen world, we inhabit a fallen body and we live among a fallen race of fallen creatures.

• But from Romans 3:21, a righteousness apart from keeping the Law starts to be revealed: the righteousness that comes from God as a free gift of grace.

• Events that were veiled to the eyes of these great men were brought into sharper view when the Holy Spirit started to move in the lives of the apostles, who unfolded the mystery of the Church (which is the Body of Christ), and the free gift of salvation, which is given by grace through faith to all who will believe in the only begotten Son of God as Saviour and Lord.

• The position and privileges that are ours in Christ Jesus, and all that we will ever need to live a godly life which is pleasing to the Lord, were given to us as a free gift of God's grace.

• Salvation is nothing to do with ourselves, it has nothing to do with rules, regulations, or laws we have to keep, for salvation is by grace, and it is a free gift from God to all who have believed in Jesus: Salvation is not from yourselves; it is God's gift.
• Similarly, if salvation were gained as a result of doing some form of work or works, then it cannot be considered as a free gift of grace from God.

• In the ages to come, Lot will receive his free gift of salvation, because he was SAVED by faith, but he will have forfeited any reward because he did not LIVE by faith.

• He kept holding fast to the Word of life in Christ Jesus which had set him free from slavery to sin, Satan, the world, and the flesh.

• The restraints that hindered would one day be loosed, and instead of remaining estranged from God and slaves to sin, they would eventually be set free to serve their Messiah; their God and their King.

• Although the debt for mankind's sin has been paid in full, not everyone will receive God's amazing free gift of grace for the forgiveness of sins.
• Everyman has the potential for salvation, but those who reject His free gift of grace by faith alone in Christ alone, will one day be fully and finally separated from God.
• But how sobering to realise that although His death had the capability to save everyone, not all will accept His offer of free salvation.

• We are to know the truth that comes from God for the truth will set us free.
• We are indwelled by the Holy Spirit of truth Who has promised to guide us into all truth - and The Truth shall indeed set us free - free from slavery to sin and Satan, free from the assaults of death and destruction, free from the power of the enemy of our souls, free to live as God intended man to live - in total dependence upon Him for the praise of His holy name.

• Paul writes: But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation, if you continue in your faith, established and firm, and do not move from the hope held out in the gospel.

• Anyone who had been sold into slavery was to be set free in this glorious time of celebration, and any land that had been sold during the previous 49 years, was to revert back to the original owner: You are also to count off seven sabbaths of years for yourself, Israel were instructed, seven times seven years, so that you have the time of the seven sabbaths of years, namely forty-nine years.
• Just as the land was to return to its original owner, so all slaves were to be set free.

• Jesus lived a life encompassed by problems and perplexities, sorrow and scorn, disappointments and disease, rejection, hatred, and contempt, but He lived an exemplary life that was free from worry.
• Why was the Lord Jesus free from worry?

• May we not miss the truth that is available to ALL who have eyes to see, ears to hear, and a heart that is ready to know the truth, so that we might be set free from the world, the flesh, and the devil - through faith in the efficacious blood of Jesus Christ our God and Saviour.

• He died for our sins and rose again the third day so that whosoever would believe on His name would not perish but receive God's free gift of everlasting life, by grace through faith in Him.

• Salvation does not depend on keeping the Law, but is a free gift of God's grace to whosoever will believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and Paul used every opportunity to share the truth of the gospel of grace to Jew and Gentile alike.

• While the gospel is open and available to all, not everyone who hears the truth will believe, for man is free to choose or reject the glorious gospel of grace.
• There are also those who twist the Scriptures, by teaching that the 'drawing' of the Father refers to 'irresistible grace', which negates the doctrine of free-will and conflicts with the rest of Scripture.

• Every man has the free-will to chose to do the good and eschew the evil or harden their heart to all that is holy and true.

• But after we are resurrected from the dead, we will not only be saved from the PENALTY of sin and its POWER over us, we will also be set free from the PRESENCE of sin, when our old, sin nature will be fully discarded for the new, sinless nature of Christ, 'the new life' we received at salvation.

• God's forbearance and forgiveness is full, free, and forever, and we should follow the pattern Christ set when He graciously forgave us.

• It is a free and unmerited gift of God that is given to ALL who believe in Christ.

• Sadly, there are those that reject God's free offer of salvation, which is accomplished by faith in Christ's sacrificial death and glorious Resurrection for the forgiveness of sins.

• Our righteousness is a free gift of grace to all who are redeemed through the death, burial, and Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.
• We are to journey through life in the sphere of grace and not works, for we are positioned in Christ as a free gift of God.

• The story of this servant's search demonstrates the exquisite harmony between the execution of God's sovereign will, in His progressive plan of salvation, and man's free-will to participate... through the choices we make in our lives.

• He came to help the down-trodden, heal those that were captives of the greedy sin nature, and free those imprisoned by Satan, death, and hell.

• God purposed that salvation would be a free gift of God's grace which would be appropriated by faith - and no attempt, by man to achieve righteousness any other way or through any other person, would be accepted by God.
• Abraham did not earn his salvation, but received it as a free gift of God's grace - by faith.
• From the beginning of creation to the end of Christ's millennial reign on earth, salvation can only be received as a free gift from God - through faith.

• He is rejoicing in the wonderful promises that are founded on the blood of Christ – the gospel that removes all who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ from the condemnation of the Law, for the free gift of God is eternal life to all who believe on Christ.

• It is grace that has brought about this truly amazing transformation, and it is grace that has provided God's wonderfully free and undeserved favour.
• It is God's amazing grace that made us alive in Christ and by grace alone, through faith alone in Christ alone, we are set free from condemnation and eternal separation from our Creator.

• Well, God in His wisdom knows that a path that is free from troubles does not develop in us the faith that matures and pleases God.

• We can take the easy route in life and compromise the truth of the glorious gospel and indulge in worldly ways and ungodly alliances or we can take the path of purity and righteousness by eschewing all that is evil and bearing the reproach of Christ in our suffering and shame - for how can we continue to be slaves of sin when the Lord Jesus, Who died for us and rose again, has set us free from slavery to sin and broken its suffocating hold on our lives?

• The free-man should recognise that he is a bond-servant of the Lord, while the slave should rejoice in his freedom in Christ regardless of His chains: For we are bought with a price and should not become slaves of men.

• The salvation we received is a free gift, which costs us nothing, yet it cost the Father the death of His beloved Son, and the price the Lord Jesus paid was His life.

• Our position in Christ has nothing to do with us but is simply a free gift of God's grace, by faith in Christ, and remains eternally unchanging and eternally secure.

• And salvation is only bestowed as a free gift of God's grace through faith in Christ.

• This apostle of God revealed many of the biblical truths and treasures which we have received as a free gift of grace, by trusting in Christ Jesus as Saviour.

• The Gentiles refused to acknowledge the Lord despite the glorious testimony of His magnificent creation and in spite of the inner witness of their own God-given consciences, for man was created with a mind to think, a free-will to choose, and a conscience with which to inform his decisions.

• It is only by the powerful blood of the holy Lamb of God that the chains of sin can be broken, and the captive be set free.

• And God further supplied humanity with an internal witness that speaks of His great power, glorious majesty, and supreme goodness, for man was created with a mind to think, a free-will to choose, and a conscience with which to inform those decisions.

• However, the old sin nature is still there, and the believer has the free-will to plug himself back under the power of the old sin nature which causes our thoughts and actions to be influenced by the world, the flesh, and the devil, instead of the new life in Christ.

• Who will set me free from the body of this death?

• Eternal life is a free gift to ALL who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and once we have been covered in Christ's righteousness we are called to LIVE the rest of our life BY FAITH.

• Salvation is a free gift from God.
• Faith in Him and His finished work on the Cross is ALL that is needed, and whosoever will, may access this free gift of salvation by grace.

• His wrath will be poured out upon prideful sinners who, of their own volition, resist the convicting work of the Holy Spirit within and refuse God's free gift of salvation, in preference to indulging in worldly trifles, fleshly lusts, legalistic practices, and idol worship.

• How blessed we are, that through God’s grace, we have been given the free gift of salvation, simply by believing on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

• It was not long after the children of Israel had been set free from slavery in Egypt, that God cut this special covenant with His people.
• The choice between life and death is still on offer today, but the one that rejects the free gift of salvation chooses death through their own volition.

• The benefits of being born of God are staggering, and they are free to all who believe that Jesus is the Christ.

• Jesus came to heal the broken-hearted, to set the captives free, to cause the lame to walk again, and to make the blind to see.

• The Lord had heard the cries of His people and chose Gideon to free His desperate nation from the Midianite snare, and so the angel of the Lord came to Gideon as he was threshing some wheat in the winepress, in an attempt to save his family's crop from the Midianites.

• And here in this verse we find that Paul is expressing the same truth, in a way that appears to be somewhat incongruous on the surface, for we read, when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness.
• Being free from goodness or being 'free in regard to righteousness', may appear on the surface to be a strange way of describing the sorry state of fallen man... who is ensnared by Satan and enslaved to sin.
• But the man who is a slave to every type of sin, can also be described as the man who is free from everything that is good.
• Because he is entrapped in evil, he is totally free from all that is holy and good, righteous and true.

• But faith in the finished work of Christ on the Cross, broke them free from sin's shackles, brought them into the liberty of fellowship with God, and made them servants of Christ.
• Let us never stop praising and thanking God that although we were once slaves of sin, we too have been set free by grace through faith in Christ.

• A burnt offering is not a compulsory, sacrificial directive, demanded by God. A burnt offering is a voluntary, free-will love-gift, that is presented to the Lord willingly.

• Whether Jew or Gentile, bond or free, rich or poor, male or female, everyone is lost in their sins, wallowing in prideful rebellion against their Creator, born dead in trespasses and sins, eternally estranged from God, and in desperate need of a Redeemer.
• We are justified by God's grace and pardoned of our sin as a free and unconditional gift, through redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Man is justified by faith - without the deeds of the law.

• Christ died as the SIN OFFERING to pay the price for our sins, that we might be set free from the PUNISHMENT of sin and He died as our PASSOVER LAMB so that like the Israelites in Egypt, we may be released from the POWER of sin in our lives.

• God in His wisdom and grace gave man a free-will to make his own choices in life.

• Israel were to be a light to the Gentiles, and they were to tell others the good news that the Lord was sending a Saviour to free humanity from the iron-clad grip of Satan.
• One such law touched on the treatment of a slave who preferred to remain in service to his master, rather than becoming a free man. But if the slave plainly says, ‘I love my master, my wife, and my children; I will not go out as a free man', then his master shall bring him to God.
• Christ's finished work on the Cross gave every member of the human race the opportunity to be bought back, from the slave-market of sin and Satan, and to become free to live the rest of our life as Christ's bond-servant - through faith.
• The freedom He gives every born-again child of God is EITHER, an opportunity to choose to remain Christ's bond-servant, out of love for all that He has done for us, and to be protected by His mighty power to save, as we face life's ongoing difficulties and dangers... OR we are left free, to wander through the wilderness of life relying on our own abilities and our own power instead of His supernatural ability and all-powerful strength to keep and to save.

• Peter reminds us of the many precious promises that are ours in Christ, which free us from slavery to sin as we remain in Him and He in us.

• God has endowed us with a free-will to choose between good and evil.
• We have the freedom to acknowledge the Lord as Redeemer and humbly accept His free gift of salvation by grace.

• All have received eternal life as a free gift of God's grace, and all have been granted an inheritance that is kept for us in heaven.

• The one who, in eager expectation, searches the Scriptures and examines its content daily, with a deep desire to know the truth, will be guided by the Holy Spirit into all truth: And you will know the truth and the truth shall set you free. 

• Should she be stoned or should she be set free? was the question designed to entrap the Lord.

• Paul knew the importance of a spiritual understanding of the blessings we have already received as a free gift of God's grace through faith in Christ Jesus.

• and like human-kind, the angelic host were given a free-will.

• Praise God that we are not called to serve in the old letter of the Law, but in spirit and in truth. Praise God that the Spirit's law of life in Christ Jesus has set us free from the law of sin and of death. Praise God that in Christ our trespasses have been forgiven and that He will remember our sins no more.

• God has done mighty works in the life of all believers, for all who have been saved by grace through faith in Him have been forgiven of sin and received everlasting life as a free gift of God's amazing grace.

• The wages of sin have been paid in full and we have received the free gift of eternal life, through Jesus Christ our Lord.

• Adam was given free rein to eat of every single shrub and tree in that beautiful garden, including the fruit of the glorious tree of life, but there was one exception: Of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.
• And whosoever believes on Him would not remain condemned and perish forever, but be redeemed by the blood of the spotless Lamb of God and receive the free gift life - eternal life - and life more abundantly.

• But Christ also was the perfect picture of the beautiful, free-will, burnt-sacrifice - the voluntary love offering which was a precious thank-offering that poured forth a sweet-smelling perfume that found favour in the eyes of the Lord.Christ’s sacrifice of Himself was His peculiar walk of love for you and for me.

• Paul calls the unbelieving man or woman who is dead in their trespasses and sins and has not accepted the free gift of grace, by faith in Christ's finished work at Calvary: The natural man.

• There is no other name given under heaven whereby men and women - Jew and Gentile, black and white, bond and free, young and old must be saved.

• Our salvation is a free gift of God to all who believe.

• Because we are in Christ, we have been set free from the law of sin and death: If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

• The future life of all believers will be free from sin and Satan, death and hell, but for this brief span on earth, we are called to share in the suffering of Christ - for righteousness sake.

• This made us spiritual descendants of Abraham, where there is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female.

• Because we KNOW death has been conquered and eternal life with Christ Jesus our Lord is our free gift of grace, we should delight to do His will and never waiver in our faith, for our resurrection means that our work for God will not be ineffective.

• Salvation is a gift - a free gift from God and not a right that has been earned.
• Paul compares receiving something from God as a recompense for work we do (a reward for OUR works) with being given an unmerited gift for the work Christ did (a free gift of grace for what CHRIST did for us). The first is a deserved entitlement while the second is an undeserved favour.
• Paul contrasted the receiving of a wage for an accomplished task and being given a free, unmerited, undeserved gift of gracious kindness.
• Paul may seem to be labouring the point... that being entitled to a wage or receiving a reward for working should never ever be considered the same as being given a free, unmerited, undeserved favour - and yet, then as now, there are many believers who insist that although salvation is a faith thing - we can't be saved without adding some works.
• A reward for something we do is not the same as a free gift of God's grace, for what we believe and Paul quotes from Genesis 15:6 to emphasis that salvation ALWAYS has and always will be by grace through faith in God.
• Praise God that we are saved by grace through faith in the finished work of Christ at Calvary and receive forgiveness of sins and life everlasting as a free, unmerited gift of God's goodness and grace.

• Reconciliation with God is a free gift of grace that is open to every man and woman, no matter what the charges against them may be.

• May we never forget the high price God paid for our free gift of salvation - the death of the Lord Jesus Christ.

• The fact that Gentiles were also given the indwelling Holy Spirit by faith in Christ, was the first step towards a fuller understanding that there is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither male not female, neither bond nor free, neither old nor young, neither black nor white, but that we are all one in Christ and accepted in the Beloved, lest anyone should boast.

• Our salvation is a free gift of God's grace for all who simply believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, by grace through faith in Him.

• So many of the Lord's words to the disciples were spoken to move them from the fraught emotional thinking that ravaged their anxious hearts, to the calm influence of the gospel truth that would set their hearts free and keep them from stumbling.

• Unbelief is a choice of man's free will, and the events at Nazareth are a stark reminder of the devastating effect of established prejudice, religiosity, legalism, and carnality.

• But every believer has the free-will to choose to either 1) suffer hardship as a faithful servant of Christ or 2) to try to escape life's problems by denying the Lord His right to govern their life.
• We are not denied eternal life which is a free gift of God's grace to all who believe that Christ died to pay the penalty for their sin.

• In the beginning and in His wisdom, God gave man a free-will to make his own choices and to choose his own destiny.

• John 3:16 tells us the glorious news of the gospel of salvation: Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved. But the subsequent verses give us context, meaning, and the gravity of the situation for those who chose not to trust in Jesus and accept His free gift of salvation: For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

• We are to break free from all that comes from the old life that was dead in trespasses, sins, and in bondage to Satan, and walk in newness of Christ's indwelling life in spirit and in truth, as we depend totally upon God and are fully equipped by His Holy Spirit.

• The One Who will sustain us to the end is God the Father, Who declares us free from guilt, the moment we were born-again.

• They were looking for a King who would save them from the tyranny of their Roman overlords, rather than One Who would deliver them from their sin, free them from the curse of the Law, and save them from the sentence of spiritual death, which their sinfulness demanded.
• Though a few trusted in Christ as the Son of God Who takes away the sin of the world, most followed Him to gain physical healing or to get a free lunch of fish and bread, instead of true spiritual food from the heavenly Man.

• The price He paid for our forgiveness was His own precious blood so that we could be forgiven forever of all our sins and receive eternal life as a free gift of HIs grace.

• There are many equally detestable customs and abominable exploits that take place in our modern culture which God hates, and having been saved by grace through faith, we are no longer enslaved by Satan's power but have been redeemed from the penalty of sin and set free from its power over our lives. 

• The miracle of salvation is a free gift to ALL who believe.

• He was sent by God to preach good news to the poor, to free the captives, to restore sight to the blind, and set free those that are oppressed.
• He has sent Me to proclaim freedom to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind - to set free the oppressed and to proclaim the year of the Lord's favour.
• He came to bind up the broken-hearted, heal the sick, and set the captive free, so that by grace through faith in Him, we might not be condemned, but have everlasting life.

• Elimelech and his family were part of God's holy nation, but like every individual in the household of God, they were able to exercise their free will.

• They were under Roman oppression and longed to be free from the pressures, persecution, and pain of life in this fallen world.

• Instead of earning salvation by merit or by working hard to gain it... we can only receive it as a free gift of God's grace.

• He baptises us into the body of Christ, for it is by the power of one Spirit that we have all been baptised into one body, whether Jew or Gentile, whether bondmen or free, and we have all been given to drink of one Spirit.

• Jesus Himself tells us: In this world you will have tribulation. Yes, we should not expect to have a trouble free life after we have been saved.

• They were to say to the prisoners: Come out from Satan's tyrannous rule and be free from the shackles of sin.

• Not one of the four characters in this dramatic event was free from transgressing God's plans and purposes.

• How important that the genuine unity of the Body is maintained, while at the same time recognising that we are a diverse group of redeemed individuals that consist of Jews and Gentiles, male and female, young and old, black and white, slave and free.

• It baffles the mind of those that have taken up God's free gift of salvation that His offer of reconciliation should be rejected by so many.
• And yet, throughout the Old and New Testaments, we discover with astonishment the foolish depravity to which the human race has fallen and man's arrogant refusal to accept God's free gift of salvation.

• By God's free, unmerited, gracious favour.
• ALL have sinned and need a Saviour, and ALL have access to this incredible free gift of God's glorious grace.
• Those who on their own free volition choose not to believe in the only begotten Son of God will be judged.

• The wages of sin is most certainly death... BUT the free GIFT of God's Salvation is open to ALL WHO BELIEVE.
• Every man has been given the free will to EITHER believe and be saved OR not to believe and be damned... and everyone is responsible for the choices they make in life.

• Rather, we are under the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus which... by faith in Him, has set us free from the law of sin and of death.
• They exploit our spiritual privileges and pervert the Word of God by proclaiming that we are free to indulge in whatsoever ungodly acts and fleshly inclinations take our fancy.
• Once we have been saved and set free from slavery to sin, by faith, we become a new creation in Christ.

• Paul aimed to differentiate between believers who are set free from bondage to the Law by faith in Christ, and believers who are legalistic and remain enslaved to sin and bound by works of the flesh to the Mosaic Law.
• It beautifully demonstrates the freedom Christians have in Christ, because we are free-born children of God, and like Isaac, have become children of promise.

• The eternal consequences of rejecting God's offer of salvation are fearful, but those that stubbornly reject God's gracious offer of free salvation, develop and retain a hardened and unrepentant heart.
• They have become willingly ignorant of the glorious gospel of grace, which is a free gift of God to whosoever will come.

• But the POWER of sin was also broken at the Cross for we were given a new nature that was free from sin, a godly nature, the 'New-Life' of Christ, and we became a 'New Creation' in Him.
• And in Christ we have the power to say no to sin (but it is a free-will choice), and we have the power to resist the devil (but it is a free-will choice).
• In Christ we receive the power to turn from our former worldly ways, our fleshly actions, and our ungodly pursuits that came from our old sin nature (but it is a free-will choice).

• If we trusted Christ for our redemption by faith and received the life of Christ as a free gift of grace, should not we also choose to live our life in spirit and truth?

• He came to offer each one the free gift of salvation, which by God's grace becomes ours by faith in Him.
• He came so that by grace through faith, ALL who believe on His name might be set free from the actions, consequences, and outcomes of our sin-filled lives!!
• The transgression of Adam, which caused death to be passed onto all men, is very different from the amazing, abundant, glorious, and eternal life that is offered to all men as a free gift of grace.

• God gave His only begotten Son to redeem us from penalty and power of sin and death and to free us from the curse of the Law.

• Although we were formerly sons of disobedience and enslaved in the kingdom of darkness, we have been set free, made a new creation, and brought into the Light.

• And although God will never force a man to believe in Him against his free will, it is the Father Who graciously draws someone to Jesus.
• It is not the dragging of some poor soul into a faith in Christ against his will through God's sovereign power, because we all have a God-given free will which we are required to exercise of our own volition in response to the gospel.

• It was by His own choosing - His human volition - His own, God-given free-will as a Man, that Jesus lay down His life.

• He laid down his life as a free-will offering so that He might take it again, and in so doing gave life to all who believe.

• Not only did this generation have a unified language, but they determined to establish their independence by breaking free from the God Who deserved their glory and not their disdain.

• We are governed by a higher law - a heavenly law - a limitless law: The Spirit’s law of life in Christ Jesus which set us all free from the limited law of sin and of death, that condemns every sinner.

• Salvation is the free gift of God THROUGH having faith in the Person and Work of Christ Jesus our Saviour - for there is no other name given among men whereby we must be saved.
• Like Abraham, and all Old Testament saints who were looking for their coming Messiah, the soul of Lazarus was taken to a holding place called 'Paradise' or 'Abraham's Bosom' UNTIL Jesus died on the Cross as payment for their sins and rose from the grave to set these captive souls free.

• No matter what our birth, heritage, vocational standing, financial situation, or political leanings, the truth of the glorious gospel of Christ is the thing that sets men free.
• The man or woman who is called of the Lord to be holy, by faith... is set free from all the restrictions, constraints, and controls that influence every part of our commonplace lives.
• Though enslaved in the natural, that man was spiritually free.
• Although Christian slaves may have remained under the authority of their human masters, they were never to forget that in Christ they had gained spiritual liberty and eternal freedom... for Christ gave Himself for us to set us free from every wrong.
• Christ died on the Cross at Calvary to cleanse us from all our sin so that our hearts may be strong and free from all sin before our God and Father, so that we could be His special people for His praise and glory.
• He wanted them, and us, to remember that we have been set free from all the distresses that we experienced as the result of sin - freedom from death, freedom from the bondage, freedom from fear, freedom from the snares of the devil.
• He used the images of freedmen and slaves to demonstrate that the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set us free from the law of sin and death.
• Paul used this passage to remind us that a slave who is called to be in Christ by faith is the freedman of the Lord... while the man that is free must consider himself to be the slave of Christ - for each one of us were bought and paid-for at Calvary and the precious, purchase price was the shed blood of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ - Who loved us and gave Himself for us.

• The day is coming when those that institute abominable practices, scorn His precious promises, violate His righteous commands, mock His holy Word, and reject His free gift of grace in the Person of the Lord Jesus Christ as Saviour, will be finally judged.

• There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

• Instead of being under the condemnation of the Law because of our sin, we are free from the curse of the Law and God's condemnation because we have trusted in Christ.

• As believers we have to make a choice: either we allow ourselves to be enslaved by greed and shackled to a materialistic mind-set, or we choose to be set free to the spirit of God in Christ Jesus.
• We either remain in bondage to earthly corruption by looking to money as our source and supply, or we are set free into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

• It is free, but it cost God the very life of Jesus.

• He knows those who believe in His free and unmerited gift of salvation, trust in His gracious and unconditional love, reverence His eternally holy name, and take refuge is the overshadowing protection of His mighty wing.

• Why do God's servants have to suffer when the ungodly seem to have a problem-free existence?

• the offering of Christ on the Cross, (once and for ALL) Church age believers, in the dispensation of the grace of God, are under the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus, and Paul tells us that, the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

• It is this very liberty that we have in Christ's finished work at Calvary, which has released us from our former legalistic yoke of bondage and set us free from the curse of the Law.
• How wonderful to discover this godly liberty we have in Christ Who has set us free from the yoke of bondage by means of the indwelling Holy Spirit.
• May we stand fast in this liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the legalistic yoke of bondage.

• He alone is sovereign, He alone is God, and we have been bought by His blood and given His life as a free gift of grace through faith in Him.

• instead of going to Spain to preach the gospel, he was called to Macedonia, and instead of being free to travel widely to share the good news of Christ, Paul often found himself incarcerated in a prison cell.

• He did not He clarify His teaching nor address their many problems, for He knew that over time they would come to an deeper understanding of the truth, and the truth would set them free.

• When Zophar spoke these words to Job, we discover that He was under the false impression that he had access to the deep things of God and that he knew all there was to know of God, giving him free rein to accuse his friend.

• Justification is a free gift of God's grace to man, but at an enormous cost to the Father, the Son, and the Spirit.
• Salvation is a FREE gift of God and is not a reward.
• All we can do is accept His free gift, by believing on His name and give Him all the praise, glory, thanksgiving, and honour due to His name.

• Not only did this generation have a unified language, but they determined to establish their independence by breaking free from the God who made them and Who deserved their honour not their disdain.

• And the same exhortation is extended to the Christian Church for, like Israel, we must listen to a truth, know the truth, and apply the truth - for the truth will set us free.
• When a Christian is commanded to hear what the Spirit is telling us, we should exercise our free will and choose to listen, hear, follow His command, and carry out His will.

• They knew that He had come to heal the broken hearted, to set captives free, to heal the sick, to cleanse lepers, to raise the dead, to rescue the perishing, to bring liberty to those that were in bondage, and to establish the prophesied time of peace and prosperity in the land; a time that had been promised to their forefather Abraham, as an everlasting covenant.

• And through Israel, all the families of the earth shall be blessed, for whosoever trusts in Jesus as Saviour, Jew or Gentile, male or female, old or young, slave or free, ALL have the right to become the children of God.

• Only the unregenerate; those that rejected His free offer of salvation and remain under God's wrath, will stand before this awesome White Throne in judgement, when heaven and earth will flee from His presence leaving the condemned sinner nowhere to hide.

• What beautiful truths are shared about our new life in Christ, where we discover that we are all members of His Body, united together in Him, free from bondage to sin and the curse of the law, each one with his own distinctive gifts and ministries, but each looking to Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith.
• What a privilege to know that we are the elect of God and that our new nature is renewed day by day, according to the image of Him who created us, where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but that Christ is all and in all.

• God alone is free from sin.

• However from the beginning of creation, man was given a free-will, and we read in this verse that, the plans of the heart belong to man.
• The sovereignty of the Lord is not diminished because of man's God-given ability to make his own, free-will choices.

• There is nothing, absolutely NOTHING that we can do to redeem ourselves from the penalty of sin and be set free from the curse of the Law.

• Like all sinners throughout the history of man, the only way to be declared righteous by God is through His full and free enablement - which comes through faith.

• Man received both honour and glory from the hands of His Maker and was endowed with a nature like unto God's own nature, and a spirit, a life and a freewill to make his own free choices under the gracious direction of His all-wise Creator.

• And God endowed man with a mind to think, and a free-will to make choices.

• The Lord Jesus came to earth as the sin substitute for mankind, and fulfilled all that the Father ordained so that we could be set free from the curse of sin, by faith in Him.

• He recognised that the charges against this Jewish prisoner were being fabricated due to jealousy and envy... and he even used a number of legal tactics to try to free Jesus from the false charges.
• As a result of his prolonged investigations into Christ's 'crimes', and an urgent warning from his wife to have nothing to do with this innocent man, Pilate's verdict was that he found no fault in Him... and engineered a clever plan to set Him free...
• Each Passover anniversary, as a sop to the enslaved Jewish population, the Roman overlords of the enslaved population set one convicted prisoner free.

• It can only be received as a free gift from God.

• There is one Lord Who is God of all creation, and the offer of salvation, which He provides by faith in the sacrificial death and glorious resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, is equally available to all people, Jew and Gentile, black and white, free or in bondage, male and female, young and old... for all have sinned and all fall far short of the glory of God and the godly perfection He requires.

• The last Adam triumphed victoriously, and as God's final representative Man, all who believe on Him for salvation have also triumphed in Him, which renders us alive in Christ, reconciled to God, set free from bondage to sin, self, Satan, death and hell.

• Having been made righteous through the blood of Jesus Christ, while we were still enemies of God and wallowing in sinful rebellion, and having received the free gift of eternal life by grace through faith in Him, how much more certain is it that, during this life, we shall be delivered daily from the dominion of sin in our lives through Christ's resurrection life?

• We are to know that before salvation we were slaves to sin, but after salvation we are set free from bondage to sin and the curse of the law.
• We are to know the truth of the glorious gospel of grace - for the truth will set us free.

• But they should never be given free rein to rule our lives and dictate our decisions for unguarded feelings can fluctuate, unguarded emotions can twist and turn on a whim, unguarded thoughts can toss to and fro like the waves of the sea, and an unguarded will can lead you away from the path of peace.

• He broke, forever, sins enslavement and set the captives free once and for all, and Jesus Christ is coming in the clouds as the rightful Judge of the earth - and at the name of JESUS every knee will one day bow.

• In each of his letters, Paul emphasised the crucial importance of understanding that salvation is a free gift of God's grace which is received by faith alone in Christ alone... and from the start of Galatians chapter 3, he defends and restates the important elements of salvation.

• The perfect Law of God could never be kept by sinful man, but was skilfully designed to point fallen sinners to Christ. God purposed in His heart that salvation was a free gift of God's grace, by faith in Jesus Christ, the perfect, sinless, Lamb of God and the only means of salvation.

• We have been wonderfully set free from the curse of sin and have overcome every satanic stronghold, because of our faith in Christ.

• When He died for sin, we were born from above to free us from the bondage of our old inherited sin-nature, and He gave us new spiritual life.
• The one who died with Christ has been set free from the power of sin and declared to be righteous in the eyes of God.
• Believers are to rest in the glorious Biblical fact of our identification with Christ Who is God's representative Man, Who set us free from the power of sin over our lives.
• We should be walking daily in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, for in Him we have been declared righteous, set apart unto God and redeemed by His blood.

• We are no longer affected by the curse of sin and death, but are imputed with Christ's righteousness and are given His eternal life as a free gift of God's grace. Being positioned in Christ means that we are identified with Him in every way. All that was achieved by Him at Calvary we have secured in Him and through Him.
• All that is temporal, terrestrial, fleshly, imperfect, and restricted, has been exchanged for that which is eternal, celestial, spiritual, perfect, and free.

• The crowd of onlookers were given an opportunity to set Christ free, but they cried out for His crucifixion and chose Barabbas, a convicted criminal, to be released in His stead: We have no king but Ceasar, they screamed in defiance: His blood be on us and on our children.

• But as the Christian's representative, He broke the power of sin and death within; setting us free from the authority of the law and delivering us from the consequences of our imputed sin nature, which is a slave to the world, the flesh, and the devil.

• The excesses and extravagances in which the world delights should not be embraced by those who have been set free from the slave-market of sin.

• The Lord provides food for the hungry, sets the prisoners free, cares for His people, opens the eyes of the blind, lifts up those that are bowed down, and He is a righteous God Who loves the righteous.

• At salvation, we were imputed with Christ's righteousness so that IN Him and THROUGH Him and BY Him and FOR Him we have power over sin, Satan, our old, fleshly Adamic nature, and are set free from the law, sin, and death.

• It is believing on Christ's finished work at Calvary that we have been reconciled to the Father (in one body through the Cross) so that now there is neither Jew nor Gentile, male or female, young or old, slave or free.

• God alone is free from sin.

• Christ died to pay the price for sins committed in our lives so that we might be forgiven, and Christ rose again the third day to break the power of sin in our lives so that we may live the rest of our Christian life free from the powerful strangle-hold of sin within our hearts.

• Our privileges and position in Christ are beyond our comprehension and we have been given all that we need for life and godliness as a free gift of grace; and it is all by faith in Him.

• The love of God for mankind, appeared in the Person of the Lord Jesus Christ, Who laid down His life for the sin of the whole world - so that ALL who believe in Him might not perish, but have life eternal as a free gift of God's indefinable grace.

• Having created man in His own image and likeness on the sixth day, with a intellect, emotions, a moral nature, the ability to communicate, and a free-will to make wise choices: God blessed them, and gave His first set of instruction to Adam and Eve, commanding them to be fruitful and multiply, and spread out across the globe, filling the earth with their offspring.

• The full price of salvation was paid by Christ on Calvary's Cross and can never be gained in any other way, except as a free gift of grace.

• And it was the Lord Jesus Himself Who gave His life as a free-will offering and oblation, out of love for the Father, to pay the price for the sin of the world.

• God is not only a God of mercy and goodness, grace and love, but He is also a God of righteousness and justice where sin must be punished and His wrath must be poured out on a world that deliberately disobeys His voice, rejects His offer of redemption, and refuses His free-gift of salvation through the sacrifice of His only begotten Son.

• The rest which we are to give diligence to enter into, is not our home in heaven, for that is a free gift of grace to all who trust in Christ as Saviour.

• In addition, only animals that were free from physical blemishes could be selected as a sacrificial offering.

• And Jesus proclaimed, if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed. Only a few verses earlier we heard Jesus explain to His followers, and those that were challenging His Messianic claims, you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free.
• They knew about the truth but they were not set free by the truth because they did not believe the incarnate truth.
• Believing the truth would set this jailer free from slavery to sin and bondage to Satan.
• Believing the truth would set this man free from the curse of the Law and eternal condemnation.
• The jailer was not set free by simply knowing about the Person and Work of the Lord Jesus Christ, but by knowing Him as Saviour.
• He was set free by BELIEVING on the Person and Work of the Lord Jesus Christ.
• It was knowing Christ as Saviour that would set this jailer free.
• He was saved and set free from eternal condemnation by grace through faith in the Son of God and His sacrificial offering at Calvary, for if the Son sets a man free, that man is free indeed.
• It is not simply knowing about the historical facts of Christ's crucifixion that sets people free... but believing on the redeeming truth that Christ died for our sins, according to the Scripture, that He was buried, and rose again, according to the Scripture.
• It is knowing the truth that frees a man from bondage to sin - and when one is set free from the curse of the Law and enslavement to sin, by grace through faith in Christ, one is truly liberated.
• But there is one way, and only one way to be set free from slavery to sin, Satan, death, and the curse of the law - and that is to KNOW Christ personally - not simply to know historical facts about Him, but to know Him as one's own personal Saviour... Who willingly died in our place to pay the price for our sin.
• And when we are set free from slavery to sin, Satan, death, and the curse of the law... by the redeeming blood of God's only begotten Son... we know the Son as Saviour and the SON, WHo loves us and gave Himself for us, sets us free forever.

• The Lord Jesus came to earth to set fallen man free from his shocking enslavement to sin and to deliver us from the ruinous nature of sin which is imputed to every member of the human race.
• As slaves to sin, we all need to be set free.
• Freedom is a condition for which all men long... but even in the comparative freedom of today's western world, men are far from free, for each one is restricted in many ways.
• Jesus came to free them from the tyranny of sin and told them that if they continued to follow Him and trust in His Word, they would know the truth and the truth would set them free.
• Jesus came to set His people free from the curse of the Law and the chains of sin and death, but they could not accept that they were sinners in need of salvation.
• We are all enslaved by the fleshly sin nature - for everyone who commits sins is a slave to sin - until and unless we are made free by grace through faith in Christ.
• He came to free us from the bondage of sin and not to castigate us because of our sin.
• And we who are members of the Body of Christ have the very same opportunity as did Paul to be set free from slavery to sin - by faith in HIM.

• And we who have accepted the free gift of salvation, now bear the image of the heavenly man.

• At salvation, we were placed into the Body of Christ by ONE Spirit. We were removed from our position in Adam and positioned in the Body of Christ: For by ONE Spirit we were all baptised into ONE body whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one Spirit.  
• God does not differentiate between race or colour, gender or age, nationality or education: Jews or Greeks, slave or free for by one Spirit we were all baptised into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one Spirit.

• May we abide in Christ, trust His Word, and demonstrate ourselves to be true disciples of the Lord Jesus - for He has promised that we shall know the truth and the truth shall set us free.

• And yet, when he travelled to Jerusalem after three years, we discover in Acts, and elsewhere, that the message Paul was given for the Gentiles and the doctrine he taught to the churches in Galatia, was the same message of the grace of God that the apostles understood, where there is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, colour nor nationality, for all are all, one in Christ, and members of His mystic Body.

• They had utilised their free-will and enlivened their God-given consciences, and both knew they were sinners.
• And whosoever believes in Him will not be eternally separated from God and perish, but receive the free gift of eternal life.

• And so, through Him all the families of the earth shall be blessed, for whosoever trusts in Him as Saviour; Jew or Gentile, male or female, old or young, black or white, slave or free – all who believe on His name are children of God.

• The satanic plans of these foolish, prideful people is to break free from the sovereign rule of their Creator God.

• And although our salvation is a free gift of grace that can never be lost, we all need to be aware that we can suffer loss of reward when we at last stand before the Lord Jesus Christ Himself. 

• Having explained to the Jews who had believed in Him: If you abide in My Word, you are truly My disciples, Jesus continued to explain that those who choose to abide in His Word would: Know the truth and the truth will set you free.
• The more we grow in our Christian life, the more we develop in our freedom from the sin nature that keeps us in bondage, and that freedom in Christ sets us free to live our life in spirit and truth.
• Let us abide in the Word of God so that we may learn of Christ and grow in grace, for if we truly abide in Christ and He in us we will certainly be His disciples and we will know the truth and the truth will set us free.

• His free-will, sacrificial offering on the Cross is the climax of God's plan to redeem His fallen race.

• He was great David's greater Son Who came in David's royal line to heal the broken-hearted and set the captive free.

• We do not run the race set before us to win our salvation or get to heaven, for that is a free gift of grace.
