• Knowledge of God Recently I’ve been very strongly prompted to explore the life of Job as a 'type' and as we approach the soon return of the Lord, we would do well to consider Job.

• Paul’s Teachings Paul outlined in great detail these glorious positional truths to encourage our hearts. His desire was that we are united in love and understand the riches of God’s grace. He longed that we have complete assurance of the mystery of God – namely Christ: in Whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Colossians 2:3  Paul’s epistles certainly are overflowing with much to rejoice our heart, but he also gives us some severe warnings, which encourage spiritual alertness.

• This opinion places man in the driving seat. This perspective implies that man is getting knowledge through man’s wisdom...  that through man’s pioneering cleverness, man has found out the secrets of God.
• Knowledge of Christ He is the One Who is the revelation to us..
• to His children. He may reveal Himself in a blinding flash, as He did to Paul on the road to Damascus. He may unveil His magnificence in the quiet dawning of understanding, but it is He and not man that uncloaks His truths and enlightens the heart. This knowledge and understanding that is revealed in the person of the Lord Jesus, enlightens the mind; sanctifies the soul; and rejoices the heart.
• Intimacy with Christ It is not a knowledge and understanding about the Lord Jesus.

• Spiritual Maturity We are exhorted on many occasions to be maturely established in the faith. We are encouraged to press on to the high calling of Christ. We are entreated to gain spiritual perception and godly discernment. We are enjoined to grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus.

• It is only as we discover our need of His work – and will in us, will we grow. It is only then that we will grow in grace and in the knowledge of Christ, for without Christ we can do nothing John.15:5, but I can do all things through Christ who gives me the strength.

• Gifts and knowledge without love are discordant gratings and empty receptacles.

• And we know that all things work together for good to those that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.Romans 8:28Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:Ephesians 4:13
• We who trust in Him are the called according to this greater purpose of God, and throughout our Christian lives, we are being trained through testings, trials and temptations – until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God – until we all become mature, and attain to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

• Dwindling Honour There is a decline in the knowledge and understanding of the Holy One of Israel..  a dwindling of honour of Him Who made us and redeemed us for time and eternity..

• God’s Knowledge God Who knows the end from the beginning was not taken aback when the son, he so carefully created with His own hands, rebelled against the One who gave him life. He knew man, through his own free-will, would despise his God-given birthright.

• Deeper Understanding And the result?  Job was brought to the most precious understanding of His Saviour and Lord – a deeper knowledge and a closer union with Christ than he had ever experienced.

• They falsely presume to have a knowledge of God and an insight into His ways.
• Job also falsely presumes a knowledge of God – and an insight into God’s ways.

• Refining Tools And right to the end – in a 'type' in Job and in the life of Paul, God refined his child... so that his bond-servant would have a deeper knowledge of their Lord and Saviour.

• The one lesson these three men learned was a deeper knowledge of God – a deeper understanding of Himself.
• Fullness of God You can read about the fullness of our faithful God in Ephesians 3:19… and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.  You can read about the fullness of our faithful Christ in Ephesians 4:13 …until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ.  You can read about the fullness of the Godhead in Coossiansl 2:9… For in him dwells all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

• Consider Satan’s Way Have you considered Satan and his bloodthirsty attempts to shipwreck your life – seeking to halt the fullness of the knowledge of Christ becoming a reality in you?  Have you considered the prideful outcome of Levithan’s manipulative strategies..

• Scriptural Deficiency The Scriptures are the most widely circulated book, and yet the Word of God often remains unopened and unread and dusty. Many seek out gnostic knowledge or search the scripture to discover codes and signs.

• Intimate-Knowledge What is also so precious is that He calls each one of us by name.

• Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus, my Lord (Phil. 3:8).

• And that leads us to that other fragment in the same letter, from which we have just quoted: That He would grant unto you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your hearts being enlightened.... The eyes of your hearts being enlightened!

• With our finite minds, we are incapable of understanding the essence of the infinite God – nevertheless, all the wisdom and knowledge of God is hidden in Christ in its entirety. Man, a fallen creature was incapable of meeting and communing with a holy God, but God in His mercy and love revealed Himself, in Christ Jesus – in His fullness.
• Person of Christ The self-existent Christ is absolute and complete in all aspects of His causeless being. The immutable Christ is absolute truth, entirely dependable, totally faithful, and true. The infinite Christ has limitless knowledge, immeasurable power, perpetual presence – and in Christ are hidden all the treasures of God’s eternal wisdom and knowledge.
• Incarnate God His love is measureless and scoops into its skirts boundless mercy and eternal grace. His immeasurable holiness acts in absolute righteousness and unquestionable justice. The fullness of God has been manifested in the self-revelation of Himself, in Christ.  And in Him are hidden all the treasures of God’s eternal wisdom and knowledge.
• Astonishing Privilege The man or woman that has been placed in Christ is indeed blessed beyond compare, for hidden within Christ is a great treasure trove of all-wisdom and all-knowledge.

• With our finite minds, we are incapable of understanding the essence of infinite God – nevertheless, all the wisdom and knowledge of God are hidden in Christ in its entirety. Let us take time to mine out those hidden treasures by getting to know Him more.

• The darkness of this place will in time turn us to the light of His face - the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ (2 Cor. 4:6).

• Trust in a person is won or lost as we build up a knowledge of that individual.

• Heavenly Citizen Nothing gives us greater sorrow than a knowledge of our lack and failure.

• all The riches of spiritual knowledge and enlightenment – all are stored up and lie hidden… IN HIM.

• There must be definite knowledge of God’s purpose and will.

• The heartbreaking knowledge of self brings a life-giving compensation, which is knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.

• Truth of God Recently as I ‘happened’ across this short video. In it there are 0ne hundred names of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. One Hundred examples of the truth of Who God undeniably is. If we were to take just ONE name each day and prayerfully focus on that truth… if we were to reflect on ONE attribute daily – in gratitude, honour praise and thanksgiving…  if we were to meditate on ONE characteristic each day – in deepest humility of heart, I believe any and all of our distortions would be replaced with a deeper knowledge and understanding of Him.
• Knowledge of God I believe, we would like Job, abhor ourselves and repent in dust and ashes, crying: “I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee..” (with spiritual understanding)  and we’d discover that our hearts had been ‘reprogrammed’ to know Him ..  to know Him as He is…. and be able to say….

• Since you have been forewarned, be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the error of the lawless and fall from your secure position, but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.2 Peter 3:17-18
• Grow in Grace But – praise God this dear apostle, Peter, continues with the next verse. He explains in simple terms how this is achieved… 'but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ 2 Peter 3:18 We grow in grace and mature in the faith when we fix our eyes on the Lord, and the mature believer is the one that will not be overwhelmed by life’s circumstances.

• I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of HIM – that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope He has given to those he called—His holy people who are His rich and glorious inheritance.

• I pray…that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.
• It is so that we know the length and breadth and depth height of His love for us- a love surpassing human knowledge – a love that is way beyond our human reason.

• That is the peculiar kind of knowledge which means the release of such forces and such powers upon the world situation as are unknown by the great world systems.
• First, let us remember that this knowledge of God is by revelation.
• We can never get this knowledge of God merely by reading, by listening, by attending meetings.... You may understand it all by mental apprehension, know the terms and the verses, and use them but what about the dynamic of this thing?
• You have got a mighty emphasis on your knowledge, it is a thing about which you have no doubt, because you have gone down into the depths with it, and proved it down there, and by the very pain the thing has been proved.

• One of the true tests of one's spiritual growth is in one's influence: affecting others that they not only begin the Christian life but grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18).

• Grateful Thanks While preparing food or eating a meal, I thank Him for His gracious provision, I pray I may be fed with the hidden manna and drink the sincere milk of the Word.  I pray that I eat the meat of the word and that I come to a deeper knowledge of God – I pray that many hear the Word and find their rest in my Saviour.

• And when one moves out of that realm into a personal, direct knowledge of the Lord through what we often term an open heaven but not, mark you, through a new or different revelation of Christ that is something apart from the Scriptures into that experience, where we can say, It pleased God to reveal His Son in me, and with me it is so real that sometimes I wonder if anyone has such a knowledge, such an experience; when we move that way, we move into a lonely realm.

• Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God – how unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out..
• Know  Believe  Live And that One Way is the Person of the Lord Jesus Christ – God’s own living Word. The general principle is simply... know the Word, believe the Word, and live by the Word. 1) Know God’s Word – Gain knowledge, and develop a deep desire to know Him. 2) Believe God’s Word – Trust Him implicitly and believe the truth of His Word. 3) Live God’s Word – apply His Word daily to all you are and say and think and do.

• The Lord Jesus was not passive; the Apostle Paul was not passive; nor is the believer passive who seeks to grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18).

• God... has shone in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. (2 Corinthians 4:6)
• God... hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ (2 Cor. 4:6).

• The knowledge of our union with the Lord Jesus is what will deliver the believer from all that is low and feeble, and will lift him to a life of joy and peace.

• It is through the Spirit’s practical revelation of the sinfulness of self that we gain, the deeper knowledge of the Holiness of Christ.

• Abide in Him May our new, born-again life in Christ be progressively sanctified. May our new, born-again life in Christ be practically sanctified. May our new, born-again life in Christ be set apart unto God, for only as we abide in Him will we grow in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

• It is not merely His gifts, His power, His greatness, but it is the knowledge of what He is in Himself to me.

• God Means It For Good Nothing that has happened to you is beyond His knowledge and His understanding.

• The eyes of both were indeed opened – but what a ghastly sight they discovered, for they found they were: wretched and miserable – poor and blind and naked.  Yes, they knew they were naked – sad fruit of the tree of knowledge.

• Ephesians 4:5 God wants us to become spiritually mature: so grow in grace, and grow in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. 2 Peter 3:18.

• How little does one know of the antagonism of our nature to the will of the Father, who thinks that service can be undertaken without that self-renunciation which can only be learned by experiential knowledge of the superiority of His ways and counsels!
• Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ (2 Cor. 10:5).

• By the daily supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ' (Phil. 1:19), the believer united to his Risen Lord grows continually to a more perfect knowledge and likeness of his Creator,' and grows up after the image of Him that created him, in the sphere where Christ is all, and in all.' The child naturally grows up in the likeness of his father, and the new life communicated to the redeemed grows up in the likeness of Him who is the Creator of the new creation if so be that the death with Christ is unflinchingly recognized, and old things' are truly allowed to pass away to make room for the growth of the new man, which is after God . . .

• Remember, the same Spirit of grace that rested on Christ rests upon you and is in you - the Spirit of the LORD, the Spirit of wisdom; the Spirit of understanding;  the Spirit of counsel; the Spirit of might;  the Spirit of knowledge – the Spirit of the fear of the LORD.

• And have put on the new man, that is renewed in knowledge after the image of Him that created him (Col. 3:10)

• It was Matthew, who when quoting Isaiah chapter 11, writes of Christ Jesus as the Shoot, Who springs from His ancestor Jesse, the father of king David – describing the humble home in Nazareth and the early childhood of our Lord Jesus in great detail – for the Spirit of the Lord would rest upon Him - the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of might, the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the Lord... and He delighted in the fear of the Lord.

• Not do you know it all, have you got it all, all the teaching, the truth, the Bible knowledge, the association, and that you are at all the meetings and you have heard it for years and years past and your association with it has been very close.

• And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing… Whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away.
• No knowledge or experience is lost to the heavenly Weaver, Who skilfully blends heartaches and joys into each life’s canvas.
• the man who was a Hebrew of the Hebrews, whose knowledge surpassed all others – a man who concerning the righteousness  (which is of the law) was blameless… this man of great intellect, knowledge, zeal, and ability cried in his final years when he realized Who was the common denominator: that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death – that I may know HIM.

• The very first syllable of the knowledge of God is the knowledge of Jesus Christ.
• The beginning of all knowledge of God as Father comes to us through Jesus Christ.
• There is no knowledge without words made up of letters (except perhaps for our Chinese friends!), and all the letters are between these two.
• There is no knowledge that is knowledge indeed, knowledge that is Life eternal, except in Jesus Christ.
• There is no knowledge outside of Jesus Christ.

• Why must Christians who have the knowledge of the Scriptures in the letter, run about here and there to seek advice from others on matters which vitally affect their own spiritual knowledge?

• So it is not our study, our learning, our book knowledge, but it is a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of our hearts being enlightened, and it is that seeing which brings the note of authority that is so much needed.

• But grow in the grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, Amen.2 Peter 2:18
• But growth only takes place as we submit to the indwelling Spirit and He appeals to our God-given volition, to grow in grace and in a knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Peter 3:18.
• May we who have ears to hear what the Spirit says in His Word, listen carefully to all that He says – and to apply it in our lives, as we grow in grace and in a knowledge of our Saviour Jesus Christ. 

• Walking in Truth Knowledge of the Truth is no insignificant advantage as it affects every facet of life.

• Biblical knowledge and articles of faith are necessary – but we must beware, when our philosophical ideals conflict with God’s revealed character.

• Redemption’s Thread Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God!

• Sixth, that we are seated in heavenly places in Christ and Seventh, lost in wonder and in praise in the knowledge of Himself. So after the product of 'initial faith' – is the processes of 'sanctifying faith'.

• Paul tells us: you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have the power to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and depth and height, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge.

• Many think that spiritual maturity is a more comprehensive knowledge of Christian doctrine, a larger grasp of scriptural truth, a wider expanse of the knowledge of the things of God; and many such features are recorded as marks of growth, development, and spiritual maturity.

• Be filled, or go on being filled with the Holy Spirit, as we read in Ephesians 5:8.  But even this is a choice for the believer.  Paul tells the Colossians the great desire of his heart toward all the believers. Paul longs that all believers are filled to overflowing, be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, unto all patience and long-suffering with joyfulness.

• Christ-Clinging It is not by self-wrestling, but by Christ-Clinging that we shall be most blessed. Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! Oh the DEPTH OF HIS LOVE. How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!

• The knowledge of doctrine, essential as it is, gives no power.
• Doctrine and practice, theology and morality, knowledge and action are inseparably connected, being related to one another as foundation to superstructure, as center to circumference, as cause to effect.

• God is speaking, He has something to say, but there must be a Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your heart being enlightened.

• Jesus came to bring heavenly knowledge in His own person, and in His person we come into heavenly knowledge.

• That you... may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. (Ephesians 3:18,19)

• Holy Conduct But in the light of this sobering thought, Peter asks a very serious question: He asks each of us to carefully consider what kind of people we should be. He asks us to reflect on how we should live in the knowledge of this truth.
• He knows end-time believers have a greater need than such specific knowledge.

• And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge
• As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease As for knowledge, it will pass away .

• You have examined my heart,You know everything about me,You know when I sit down or stand up.You know my every thought when far away,You chart the path ahead of me,You tell me where to stop and rest.You know where I am every moment,You know what I am going to say even before I say it.LORD - You both precede and follow me.You place Your hand of blessing on my head.Such knowledge is too wonderful for me.Psalm 139

• add to your faith – virtue; add to virtue – knowledge; add to knowledge – self-control; add to self-control – perseverance; add to perseverance – godliness; add to godliness – brotherly kindness.

• We think of equipment for it in terms of study and knowledge of things.
• Bible study and knowledge of the Scriptures, with efficiency in the matter of leading in Christian service as the end in view, are matters of pressing importance with all.
• It is very possible to have a wonderful grasp of the Scriptures, a comprehensive and intimate familiarity with doctrine; to stand for cardinal verities of the faith; to be an unceasing worker in Christian service; to have a great devotion to the salvation of men, and yet, alas, to have a very inadequate and limited personal knowledge of God within.

• The measure of our spiritual life is no greater than our heart; the knowledge that is in the head is not the measure of spirituality, the way for your release, emancipation, increase, abundance is the way of the heart.
• Not power, or knowledge, or different gifts, these are not the first things, the first thing is love.

• Peter orders us to know and grow in our knowledge of Him….and in grace, in 2 Peter 3, and Jesus instructs us that to know that God is life eternal, in John 17.

• Christ in us means an inward knowledge of God, a heart-relationship with Him.

• Unique Codes of Conduct Those living in Eden also had laws for living specific to that era:- be fruitful, multiply, subdue the earth, tend the garden and don’t eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil – but man failed.

• According as His divine power He hath given us all that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him that has called us to glory and virtue.2 Peter 1:3
• God has given us all that we need to live a holy and godly life: according as His divine power, He hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through knowledge of Him, Who called us to glory and virtue. 2 Peter 1:3 If only we believed our life were truly complete in Him – and then, were to act on it.
• Obedience of Christ The enemy we fight are the spiritual principalities and powers in high places, and we are instructed to “cast down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God.

• Light is not a mental thing: that is to say, it is not just a matter of having a store of mental knowledge.
• How have you children of God come to know what you do know of the Lord, that real kind of knowledge of the Lord which is so precious to us, which means so much and which makes you in that measure of value to others?
• he Lamb is the lampsuffering leading to knowledge, to light, to understanding.
• It may not be too comforting from one standpoint, but it is true; and it ought to help us to realize this: that the Lord, in the way in which He is dealing with us, in the sufferings which He allows to come upon us, is really seeking our education, that we may have a knowledge of Himself which can only come that way, and which is a peculiar kind of knowledge of tremendous value to us and through us to others.
• It is the Lamb, always the Lamb-principle, the way of suffering and sacrifice and self-emptying, that brings us into the knowledge of the Lord.

• With an increase of knowledge and apprehension of the truth, there is a constant sense that we are not practically up to what we have received; and hence the measure of our strength is not the enjoyment of a truth, but the extent to which we maintain what we believe in spite of every obstacle.
• We will not learn truth aright excepting in the deepening knowledge of the Lord Jesus.
• This is no unnecessary admonition in a day when knowledge of the most sacred truths may be intellectually attained by so small an effort.

• Last Days We are told in the last days there will be incredible deception and evil will multiply. People will run to and fro around the earth seeking knowledge and understanding.
• and 2 Corinthians outlines why we need the mind of Christ to dwell in us richly, cast down imagination and exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:5

• Wisdom and Glory Oh the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God – how unsearchable are His judgments, and His ways past finding out!

• He may be full of religious knowledge, emotions or feelings, and activities, but if the Bible thunders more than speaks on any matter, it is this: that such can be the most mistaken and deceived.

• Spiritual Discernment Sin in its raw state has robbed the natural man of a vital sphere of knowledge – a sphere of knowledge that is the most important of all: the spiritual sphere.
• He needs to resist the devil in the power of the Spirit and he needs to grow in grace and in the knowledge of Jesus.

• No one who knows anything about the present conditions will disagree with the statement that the Church is in tragic need of men with a message, but our point is that what is needed is the knowledge of what the message is for the time.

• A true knowledge of the Lord Jesus will reverse a good many of our ideas, and a good many of our procedures.
• A true knowledge of Christ and union with Christ, with all that that means, will make us go to work in entirely the opposite way from that in which we have been accustomed to go.

• What knowledge is it?
• It is the particular knowledge of Him, and the power of His resurrection.

• The Cross has to deal with all that to make things safe for God, and to keep us moving in the way of increasing knowledge of the Lord, which, as we have said, lies behind all our value to the Lord, all our usefulness, all our service.

• Many programmes have been designed to tempt seekers into their clutches. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge, writes the Lord through Hosea, as ear tickling teachers sweep their unsuspecting victims into their clutches.
• God’s Purpose For Man God’s Purpose for us does not have to be extracted from a 12-step programme. God’s Word is the true source of knowledge in understanding His purpose and will. Trace the truth of God’s purpose from before the foundation of the world. Explore the meaning of life from the pages of Scripture – starting with Genesis. God said..

• Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up.
• The fact is this, that we may advance a long way in spiritual knowledge (I mean in information, the knowledge of the truth) beyond our own real measure, and then have the shock, under terrible conditions, of discovering that all that we have accumulated through the years does not help us.
• We are right up against things and have to say, I have not got the realities I thought I had, they are not helping me; I am being brought right back to foundations in my real, personal, living knowledge of the Lord Himself.
• It is not valueless; but we must recognize that there is all the difference between knowing the thoughts of God in our minds, and the Holy Spirit's using that knowledge to accomplish God's ends.

• Oh, that men might see that, while a highly cultured soul with a keen sense of the beautiful and sublime is immeasurably preferable to a sordid one so far as this world is concerned, it is not necessarily a criterion that such has a personal living knowledge of God of God as a Person and has really been born anew!
• When the Scriptures say so much about the knowledge of God and of the truth as the basis of eternal life, resulting in being set free, doing exploits, etc., they also affirm that man cannot by searching find out God, and they make it abundantly clear that it is knowledge in the spirit, not in the natural mind.
• Thus, a rich knowledge of the Scriptures, an accurate technical grasp of Christian doctrine, a doing of Christian work by all the resources of men's natural wisdom or ability, a clever manipulation and interesting presentation of Bible content and themes, may get not one whit beyond the natural life of men, and still remain within the realm of spiritual death.

• Mind of Christ How tempting the fruit of that tree of knowledge – tucked away in Eden’s glen.

• Our knowledge of the Lord, the very remotest bit of it and the very first ray of it, depends upon our spirit being awakened and illumined by the Holy Spirit.

• Wonderful Words In Romans chapter 11 and Ephesians chapter 5, Paul tells us of: the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God!

• We read in 2Peter 3:3 according as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him that hath called us to glory and virtue.
• The weapons are are not of the flesh, but mighty through God to the pulling down of spiritual strongholds. 2Cor.10:4  The enemy we fight are the spiritual principalities and powers in high places, and we are instructed to cast down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God.

• What knowledge he has in this realm is his because the Holy Spirit has declared it to him; and for the Spirit's declaration he must wait.

• Here is a man who has had a revelation and knowledge of Jesus Christ greater than any other man up to that time.
• That knowledge commenced whence as he said, it pleased God to reveal His Son in me.
• Between, and around those two experiences, there is evidence of an ever growing knowledge of Christ.

• Love is greater than prophecy and knowledge which will one day pass.

• Historical knowledge and recognising historical facts do not count.

• Are you, through a living, clear, inward, experimental relationship with the Lord Jesus, building a structure which comes out of that inward spiritual knowledge?
• The heart of the whole matter is the difference between the philosophy of Christianity, of Christian doctrine and the spiritual knowledge of Christ.

• Unique Son He laid aside the glory He had with the Father during the time He walked on earth, yet He retained His pre-existent knowledge – while learning obedience as a Son. He remembers the glory that He shared with the Father before the world was created. He recalled How He was the bread of life that came down from heaven for in Him is life, and that life is a light that shines in the heart of everyone coming into the world.

• so our knowledge of Him might expand.

• But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

• He is the reservoir of knowledge and understanding, and in Him is no lack of knowledge – and in Him no jot of truth is absent from His understanding.
• For Peter reminds us:- for you are a chosen race; a royal priesthood; a holy nation; a people for his own possession; that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him – who called you out of darkness into His marvellous light. 1 Peter 2:9 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. 2 Corinthians4:6.

• The knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ is the basis of the believer's life.
• There is nothing which comes within the compass of the life of the Christian which does not depend upon the knowledge of the Lord Jesus. -T.

• There is no personal knowledge of God but as we count on Him, as we are practically conscious of depending on Him and of His caring for us.

• It is a lack of knowledge of how to grow in grace and in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus.

• And Scripture is read; prayers are prayed; lessons are learned and knowledge is gained.

• for He is the pivot of knowledge and the key to all understanding.

• But to God be the thanks who in Christ ever heads our triumphal procession, and by our hands waves in every place that sweet incense, the knowledge of Him (2 Cor. 2:14, Wey.).

• It is the fellowship of His sufferings'; and the knowledge of suffering with Him, what can it not sweeten?

• For the weapons of our warfare [are] not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 2Cor.10:4.

• But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ (2 Pet. 3:18).

• the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him (Christ) (Eph. 1:17).
• I know of no arguments, and I am acquainted with no power, that will move the heart to devotedness except the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Himself and His love.

• And yet their disappointment is the plain proof that, in spite of all their knowledge of Scripture, they have expected to make themselves different, for they are disappointed because they have not succeeded in doing so. -C.A.C.

• As we explore these scripture passages, may we exhibit a teachable spirit, so that we grow in grace and in the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

• Right from our new birth, you and I, every one of us, ought to have a faculty of spiritual understanding and perception and knowledge that is possessed by no other person outside this Kingdom!
• I would go so far as to say that the largest proportion of all the trouble between Christians is due to either a lack of, or a failure to live on, the basis of spiritual understanding, spiritual discernment, spiritual perception, spiritual knowledge.
• There is any amount of natural knowledge in the Christian world: Bible knowledge, prophetic knowledge, and what not.
• But spiritual knowledge is a rare commodity; and yet it is supposed to be a constituent of our new birth from above, a faculty that we ought to have.
• It is a new kind of knowledge.

• A Worthy Calling Our initial salvation when we were born again is a gift of grace – received by faith. Our Christian walk as we grow in grace is also a gift of grace – received by faith. And as we grow in grace and in a knowledge of Him, so we will reflect our Lord – and we will walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which we have been called.

• All the fullness of the knowledge of God is only and exclusively – through Christ, All the secret things of God – the mystery of godliness was summed up in Him, And in the fullness of time God sent His Son, born of a woman to walk this earth.

• Tough Lessons But Saul of Tarsus met Jesus and had to be taught some of life’s toughest lessons. He learned that his own wisdom; knowledge; charisma and ability counted as nothing. He learned about faith: that your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. 1Cor.2:5.

• Some suffer with little apparent distress – others suffer intolerable agonies. The Lord knows His own, and to each He brings that measure of training required. He brings each one to their point of distress – to bring each a knowledge of Himself.
• Fruit of Suffering The fruit of suffering and training is the drawing closer and nearer to Christ. The outworking of sufferings are the benefits this closeness to Him gives to others. The learning and knowledge of Christ in a life, is through the school of suffering. The exercise and outworking of Christ in a life, is enhanced and refined through trials. Paul reckons we should embrace trials: for the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory, which shall be revealed in us.

• Cleansing Flood The knowledge that ALL my sins were forgiven forever was a most glorious truth – a cleansing that flooded my soul like a sweet refreshing fountain of crystal water.
• In logical sequence, Paul explains how everyone has knowledge of their Creator God.

• Godly Understanding Knowledge is the accumulation of facts.
• The knowledge of God is too deep..
• Beauty of Wisdom Mere human research or mortal speculation or accumulated knowledge about the Creator of the universe, will not unveil the beauty of His wisdom.
• In Him are all the answers that knowledge blindly seeks out.

• You can keep Him hidden; you can bury him in the safety of your current understanding – or you can gaze at Him through the spiritual eyes of heart, counting all things loss,  for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord.

• Worldly Words And as children of God, we are all to grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord.
• Grounded in Truth We are to build each other up in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God. We are to mature in the faith until we attain to a measure of the fullness of Christ.

• Col.3:12 Be filled with the knowledge of his will… in all wisdom and spiritual understanding.

• For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge (Rom. 10:2).
• Here is where most fail, and in this day there is a great deal more zeal to acquire knowledge and intelligence in the wonders of revelation, than to deny the man that has no sympathy with it, nor part in it, but condemnation.

• We are to live by trusting His Word in the sure knowledge that having been delivered from such a terrible death, God will deliver us again.

• Once a person has been born again, they are to grow in grace and in a knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.

• And so we are urged to move on from the initial salvation message, where we are justified by faith, and are urged to grow in a knowledge of our Lord and Saviour - as we press on to spiritual maturity.

• Instead, we discover him encouraging these believers (and us) to seek after the wisdom of God and the ways of the Lord, for in so doing we will grow in grace and in a knowledge of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

• He could not trust in his own wisdom and knowledge, and he reminded the Corinthian Christians that no matter who we are, no matter what strengths we possess, or where our influence reaches: We cannot trust in ourselves.
• He alone is all wisdom and knowledge.

• Although his passion was to preach Christ crucified and to bring as many lost souls into a saving knowledge of his Lord and Saviour, Paul also knew that to be absent from the body was to be present with the Lord.

• He exposed their lack of knowledge and impressed those who were listening to the ongoing debate - of His tremendous wisdom and His amazing grace.
• One of the scribes overheard Christ's inspiring debate with these critical Sadducees, and was impressed with His knowledge and understanding of the law and the prophets.

• Without Christ, the deep darkness of man's inner soul remains blinded to the truth of the glorious gospel of grace, which points to Jesus as the true Light Who alone lights the hearts and minds of all who believe on Him.Two thousand years ago, heavenly Light shone out of the darkness and by God's grace, the beauty of His Light and Life has shone into our hearts and given us the knowledge of the glory of God, in the face of Jesus Christ.

• But from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you will surely die. Adam and Eve failed to obey God's instructions.

• These dear believers had come to a knowledge of the Lord Jesus, but had turned from the truth of the gospel of grace to the beggarly elements of the Law by starting to add various rites and rituals into this fellowship of believers.

• Such knowledge is beyond our simple understanding, but what a comfort this should be to all those that trust in His name, for there is nothing that can separate us from His continuous attendance - nothing can happen which is unknown to Him.

• May we grow in the grace and in a knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ as He prepares and equips us for the work that He has for us to do.

• But Adam made a foolish choice and instead of eating of the Tree of Life, he ate from the Tree of Knowledge, catapulting the human race headlong into sin and rebellion against their Creator-God.

• His faith was strengthened, he grew in a knowledge and understanding of God, and became an overcomer who was spiritually prepared to relinquish to his own reasoning and to trust the promises and provision of God.

• And so we read that this young man asked the Lord for wisdom and knowledge.
• He did not ask for fame, fortune, long life, or honour, but recognised his lack of experience and requested wisdom to govern the people of God and knowledge to know what to do.
• Since he was about to become God's appointed ruler over His people Israel, Solomon asked for wisdom and knowledge so that he would be enabled to rule with integrity and grace: For who can rule this great people of Yours? was Solomon thoughtful response.

• If was for this reason that Paul spent so much time writing his epistles and correcting the many false doctrines and corrupt teachings that were already starting to infiltrate the Body of Christ - including Jewish legalism, Gnosticism or hidden knowledge, asceticism (which attempted to train the sin nature through self-abasement), and antinomianism (which promoted a licence to sin) - to name but a few.

• It is God's will that we come to a knowledge of the truth and that we believe in Him, by faith.

• We are not called to walk the same ancient path to which Israel was called, but we are required to be faithful to our calling, to walk in spirit and truth as outlined in the Word of God, to grow in grace and in a knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, and to mature in the faith that we have been taught.

• He warned that they would not be able to discover God's kingdom through their own knowledge, wisdom, clever calculation or mysticism.
• They would only discover the kingdom of God by coming to a knowledge of Jesus Christ as Lord - Who was sent to save the world from sin and Satan, death and hell - and Who stood in their very midst.

• God rebuked the people of Israel for their apostasy and idolatry, pronouncing a severe judgement upon them and causing Amos the prophet to mourn that His people were destroyed for lack of knowledge of the God of Israel, while bewailing their disinterest in the God of their salvation.

• We have light and knowledge and should be watching and waiting expectantly as we see the day approaching: We do not want you to be uninformed about those who have already died.

• And because we are His sons and daughters, we should make every effort to supplement our faith with goodness, our goodness with knowledge, our knowledge with self-control, our self-control with endurance, and our endurance with godliness.

• May we grow in grace and in a knowledge of our Lord and Saviour so that we may become more like Jesus Who is full of compassion and of great mercy.

• Let us, in humility, rest in the knowledge that He knows best, and that His plans and purposes are perfect.

• And so, we read that the young king Solomon requested wisdom and knowledge, so that he would be enabled to rule God's great nation of Israel with integrity.
• Just as an earthly father would have rejoiced to hear this wise request from the son he loves, so our Heavenly Father was delighted that Solomon made so prudent a choice, and God not only granted him the wisdom and knowledge he requested but also promised him unparalleled riches, wealth, honour, and long life.
• Knowledge and understanding of the Lord Jesus and His Word should be high-up on the priority list of the man or woman who is growing in grace and maturing in the faith... and we have been promised that if any of us lack wisdom we should ask it of the Lord, for He gives generously and without reproach... BUT there is a condition.
• Although we delight to hear that as well as wisdom and knowledge, the Lord granted Solomon riches, wealth, power, and long life, there is a cautionary lesson we need to learn in this passage.
• Although he ruled with God-given wisdom and knowledge, he dishonoured the Lord in certain areas of his life.

• And may our love for each other flow out into the world so that unbelievers may see our love, be drawn to Jesus, and enter into a saving knowledge of our loving Saviour.

• And we are not only enriched in every way but as if to garner our attention, we are reminded that Christ's super-abundant enrichment covers ALL speech and ALL knowledge! 
• Should not we, who have been enriched in every way in Him, in all utterance and knowledge, show forth the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit in our lives from this day forward and henceforth for every more? 

• But how different from God's design for His children, for it was through suffering that the Lord Jesus Himself learned willing obedience to the Father and it is through the same pathway that we too grow in grace and come into deeper knowledge of Him.

• It is as he draws his letter to a close, that Paul offers his concluding exhortation, which is beneficial for ALL who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus and to grow in grace and in a knowledge of our Lord and Saviour: Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong, he urges, and let EVERYTHING that you do be done in love.

• But this exciting knowledge was rapidly turning into deep despair as Christ condensed as much information as they were able to bear, into a few short teaching hours before setting out on His final walk to Calvary via the Mount of Olives.

• But the apostle Peter also makes it clear that our spiritual growth and our progress in the Christian life must be a continuous maturing in grace and an ever-increasing knowledge and understanding of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
• We are also to: Grow in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. This must be the pinnacle of God's grace, that we increase in our knowing HIM.
• Access to the same grace of God and intimate knowledge of Christ is also what Peter, in the closing days of his life, is urging all who have a saving faith in Christ to strive for earnestly.
• How fitting that this is the closing verse of his second epistle: But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
• May we ALL grow in grace and in a knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, for by grace we are saved through faith, by grace we are to live our lives through faith, and one day by God's grace, we will pass into His wonderful presence, when we shall see Him as He is, and we will be like Him and live with Him into the eternities of eternity.

• Not only was he spiritually blind, but had to be reminded that entrance into heaven had nothing to do with his elevated position, his vast knowledge, his strict Law-enforcement, or great wealth.

• His way will lead us deeper into fellowship with Himself and enable us to mature in the faith, grow in grace, and gain a deeper knowledge of the holy, for He desires us to enjoy a satisfying and unbroken communion with Himself.

• May we seek to be vigilant in prayer, courageously stand firm in the faith, be obedient to God's call on our life, equip ourselves with a knowledge of the truth, and live a life that honours our Father in heaven.

• Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God!

• Peter insists that knowledge of the Lord and paying heed to Scripture are two important elements in identifying a false teacher and discerning their destructive lies.
• However, Peter is expressing his concern for unbelievers who are brought to a superficial knowledge of Christ without being saved by faith in Him.
• But those who allow their ears to be tickled without ever coming to the knowledge of the truth, by faith, are in serious spiritual danger: And their last state becomes worse that at the beginning.
• Let us seek to guard our hearts with an ever-deepening knowledge of the truth, maintain a closer walk with God, and live and work for His praise and glory.

• May we come to the unshakable knowledge that our times are in His hands, and at His appointed time and in His designated way, we will one day step into His eternal presence, when faith will vanish into sight and hope be emptied in delight.

• Like Adam, we have knowledge of what is evil, but no ability to avoid it and do something good.
• Similarly, we have knowledge of what is good and an inner desire to do good things, but the old sin nature has no capacity to do anything that pleases God, even when we really want to!

• Too often, Christ's commission is only seen as an evangelistic call to lost sinners, but it has far wider implications for it is equally a call to teach those that are saved, for all believers need to learn of Christ and to be grounded in the Word of God, for God wants all people to be saved and also to come to a knowledge of the truth.

• If he delays there is a reason, and any delay pours an additional stream of grace into a Christ-rejecting sinful world, enabling sinners to turn to Christ for salvation, allowing the prodigal son to return to the Father's embrace, permitting the saint to grow in grace and a knowledge of his lovely Lord Jesus, for everything that God does is VERY GOOD.

• It is an objective faith that is secured to the knowledge that our redemption rests on Who Christ is, and what He has already done on the Cross on our account.

• It is a secure knowledge of the holy - deep within the heart which enables us to take a peep into an eternal reality that is hidden from the unsaved man, but which is a right that is reserved for the children of God in heavenly places.

• But in the words of the apostle Peter: May grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord.

• Although they smugly displayed their extensive knowledge of the prophetic Scriptures, they did not rejoice to discover that this ancient prophecy was coming to pass!
• The head-knowledge of these Jewish leaders was of no value to their spiritual well-being, nor was it significant to them because they did not mix their knowledge with a trusting heart of faith in the Word of God and the prophetic writings of holy men of God.

• Reverence for the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and detest instruction.
• An ever-increasing knowledge of our great God and Saviour gives us wisdom and understanding.

• Paul was trying to get across that eating meat that had been offered to these false deities was not sinful when carried out by a Christian with a clear conscience and a mature knowledge of their position in Christ, nor did it gain God's favour.
• However, it goes deeper than this, for knowingly causing a brother to stumble through an action that may be lawful, becomes a sin in the eyes of God if it causes that brother to stumble: Take care that this liberty of yours does not somehow become a stumbling block to a weaker brother, we are warned, for if someone sees you, who have knowledge of the truth, dining in an idol's temple and sinning like this, will it not wound his weak conscience? It may even cause him to eat something, against his conscience!

• May we be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus, and empowered to help and encourage others whom God has placed in our lives – and may we all grow in grace and in a knowledge of the Lord Jesus, for His greater glory and eternal praise.

• They were endowed with all-speech, enriched in all-knowledge, and equipped with great spiritual giftings as a testimony that Christ was confirmed among them, and yet we discover they were argumentative, sexually impure, and had retrogressed into unprecedented carnality, immorality, and spiritual infancy.
• When used correctly, especially in those early, pre-canonic days, the gift of tongues, the interpretation of tongues, prophetic utterances, and teachings, was the main way that the Holy Spirit gave spiritual knowledge and guided early believers into truth.

• Verse 2 explains: The tongue of the wise makes knowledge acceptable, but the mouth of fools spouts folly.
• And verse 7 gives us an important reminder: The lips of the wise spread knowledge, but this is not so from the hearts of fools.

• Like Israel, every member of Christ's Body has our part to play in the perfecting of the saints for the work of ministering and the building up of the Body of Christ, until we all reach unity in the faith and a deeper knowledge of God’s Son - as together we grow into a mature man to a measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ.

• But accompanying this devastating knowledge is a glorious truth: that the gift of God is eternal life, through Jesus Christ our Lord.

• Loving the Lord with all our heart, and soul, and mind, and strength, is a progressive love that builds and develops in our Christian walk, for as we grow in grace and in a knowledge of our Lord and Saviour, so we grow in love for the Lord our God and are enabled to have that love translated into the good works that God has prepared for us to do.
• Only as our thoughts and desires are focussed on HIM will we grow in grace and in a knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

• It is not God's will that any should perish but that all should come to a knowledge of the truth.

• But let us be wary of those self-proclaimed, latter-day prophets, that proclaim 'knowledge' that is adding to, subtracting from, or altering God's final Word, about whom we are so frequently warned in the Word of God.

• God knows the heart and reads the secret thoughts and intents of men, and those who seek to know Him with all their heart will be found of Him and will be shown the true light in Whom alone is the salvation of the soul and will be brought to a knowledge of the glorious gospel of Christ.
• Therefore, we are to set our affection on things above and to walk in the light as He is in the light, for God Who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, has shone into our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

• Labouring in love is prompted by the knowledge that all we are and all we have is from the Lord.
• It is the unshakable confidence in the knowledge that God's Word is true.

• We should be moving forward, each day, in our knowledge and understanding of our faith in Christ.

• We are to rest confidently in the knowledge that He is our faithful God; the supreme Creator of all, and Commander of the armies of heaven Who redeems us by faith in the shed blood of Christ, and will never leave us nor forsake us.

• As we journey through life, we should earnestly seek to develop these behaviours and attitudes as we grow in grace and in a knowledge of the Lord Jesus.

• No surprise that near the end of this letter to the Romans, Paul breaks into an escalating doxology of praise and worship as he cries out from the core of his being: Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God!
• The Lord is indeed rich in goodness and grace, mercy and love, wisdom and knowledge and power, and in Christ, we too have been made rich in everything, for He has bestowed on us the riches of His grace in Christ Jesus our Saviour and, by faith, we have a rich reward that is kept for us in heaven.
• His ways are incomprehensible, His knowledge is unsearchable, His love is never-ending, His judgements are righteous, and His strength is invincible.

• Salvation is not merely based on a whim, an intellectual exercise, or the acquisition of some factual head-knowledge.

• They may have escaped the impurity of the world with its many entanglements for a short time when they came into a knowledge of our Saviour, Jesus Christ, but they never came into a saving knowledge of Christ.
• The context of the whole passage is the dangers of false teachers and the need for believers to be discerning, to grow in a knowledge of Christ, and pay careful heed to the truths contained in the Word of God.
• Peter concludes that their actions not only prevent many from coming to a knowledge of the truth, but they would have been better off without any knowledge of the way of righteousness.

• May we so grow in grace and in a knowledge of the Lord Jesus that we die to ourselves and live for Christ.

• Peter's concern is for those who have little or no knowledge of Scripture, but become the innocent target of unscrupulous false teachers.
• 2 Peter 2:22 is the final verse in a section that describes the devastation that occurs in the life of an unbeliever who escapes the pollution of the world when they come to an intellectual knowledge of the Lord Jesus through an apostate teacher, but are not brought to saving faith in Him because they are taught a counterfeit Christ and a fake gospel.
• The travesty of such a scenario is that having come to a superficial knowledge of Jesus, they have no foundational truth and become discouraged with a teaching that cannot fulfil any spiritual needs and entangles them back into the world.

• To pray earnestly that they may grow in grace and in a knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.
• Let us seek to follow the example of Paul who prayed earnestly and continuously for all his fellow believers, thanking God for their lives and praying that they may grow in grace and in the knowledge of Jesus Christ.

• Today, by grace, we are 'living stones' being built up into the Body of Christ: Till we all come into the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God.
• We are all growing in grace and in a knowledge of our Lord and Saviour: Into the maturity of manhood and to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, for which we give grateful thanks and praise His glorious name.

• Let us believe what God has said and rest in the knowledge that it is the God of the universe Who says to each one of us: When you pass through deep waters, I will be with you.

• This is a godly principle of faith – that when we abide in Christ during the inevitable disasters that flood our lives, faith increases, trust is amplified, hope is expanded, and our love of Jesus reaches even greater heights, as we grow in grace and in a knowledge of Him.Oh, such life victory has nothing to do with our own great strength, intellectual ability, or healthy bank balance, for of ourselves we would be overwhelmed by all these things rather than becoming a conqueror through Christ.

• He examined his knowledge of animate and inanimate objects.
• Every question from the Lord to Job, only served to demonstrate the sovereign authority, wisdom, and power of Almighty God which stood in marked contrast with Job's finite knowledge and lack of true understanding.The Lord was not answerable to Job for his misfortunes, nor is He answerable to any of us when we go through difficulties which we do not understand.
• How few believe what is written in the Bible?Elements of the infinite knowledge and eternal wisdom of Almighty God are laid out in a few chapters in the book of Job, and a cursory reading of God's creative power and almighty wisdom, confronts each one of us with our own insignificance and limited understanding, as it did with Job.None of us have a right to know God's plans and purposes or to question His sovereign ways, and yet he has laid out His entire redemption plan in the Bible.

• We are able to read and study the New Testament epistles and through them are enabled to come to a deeper knowledge and understanding of our great Creator God and our humble Kinsman-Redeemer.

• He will not reform the old 'self' but transform the 'new-life' in Christ from glory to glory, until we all reach unity in the faith and knowledge of His only begotten Son.

• He should instruct his sons and daughters, grandsons and granddaughters, in the things of the Lord so they come to a saving faith in Christ, mature in the faith, and grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. 

• As in so many of David's songs, the knowledge of the truth of God's righteous judgement lifted his soul and encouraged his heart.
• It caused him to rejoice in the Lord and to offer thanksgiving and praise for the sure knowledge that His plans and purposes for the salvation of His people is sure.

• He did this by teaching the knowledge of the truth of the glorious gospel of God, which is according to godliness.
• May we read, mark, learn, and inwardly digest all we can from this little epistle to Titus so that we may also be equally equipped to share the knowledge of the truth, which is according to godliness, with those that are lost in their sins... and give Christian encouragement to our fellow-bondservants in Christ.

• Paul was a chosen instrument to bring a knowledge of God to Adam's fallen race.

• Unlike the spiritual gifts of prophecy, tongues, and knowledge which will pass away and cease forever, the spiritual fruit of love is eternal - for love never fails. 
• However, whether the gifts of prophecy, tongues, and knowledge ceased in those early days of the Church or not, they will one day fail once and for all in the eternal state, for the Bible tells us: If there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away.
• If there is knowledge, it will pass away.

• Let us from this day forward be willing servants of Christ's righteousness so that we may grow in grace and increasingly gain greater knowledge of our Lord and Saviour - Jesus Christ.

• He gave instruction on how we may be made perfect in Christ, through the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit, and he described the incarnate Christ as the fount of all wisdom and knowledge.
• Having been saved by grace through faith, he wanted them to grow in grace and reach spiritual maturity so that they may finally reach the fullest knowledge of the open secret, which is Jesus Christ Himself.

• However much we mature in the faith, grow in holiness, walk in the spirit and live righteously before God, there are always more lessons to learn, greater heights to reach and a deeper knowledge of Scripture to discover.

• We too need to stand fast in the Word of life and to grow in grace and in a knowledge of Jesus, as we press toward the mark for the prize of the high call of God in Christ Jesus.

• Let us seek to grow through humble obedience to His Word so that our life may grow in grace and in a knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.

• He has given all who are born from above the light of the knowledge of the glory of God, in Jesus Christ our Lord.

• May we be ready and willing to be challenged for our wrongdoing and quick to respond so we may grow in grace and in a knowledge of our Lord and Saviour, for His praise and glory.

• Reverencing the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and that knowledge of the Holy One gives us understanding.
• So how do we understand what the fear of the Lord is, and how do we discover the knowledge of God if this is the key to wisdom?
• In Proverbs 2, we are given all the answers that we need if we are to understanding the fear of the Lord and to discover the knowledge of God.
• And IF you are prepared to obediently search out and humbly hearken to all that is contained within the Word of God, THEN you will understand the fear of the Lord, you will discover the knowledge of God, and you will gain precious wisdom.
• Let us seek to know and love the Word of God so that we may come to a deeper knowledge and love for the Person of Christ: In Whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

• This massive array of eyes implied that these heavenly creatures had great wisdom, insight, knowledge, and understanding.

• He was not permitted to understand its greater impact, but with the knowledge we glean from the whole counsel of God, both Old and New Testaments, we can identify this period as the final three and a half years of Daniel's prophetic 70 weeks.

• Let us live our life as unto the Lord and grow in grace and in a knowledge of Christ..

• And God has given us all that we need for that new life to grow in grace and in a knowledge of Jesus, but we must do it God's way and not man's way.
• The new life that we received at rebirth is being renewed in knowledge, according to the image of Christ in Whose likeness we were made as a new creation.
• Our new nature is being renewed in knowledge, according to the image of Him who created us anew and gave us His life, by grace through faith.
• Outwardly we are perishing, the OLD is winding down, but inwardly the NEW is being renewed, day by day, as we come into a deeper and more intimate knowledge of our Saviour.
• We are to walk in spirit and truth as guided by the indwelling Holy Spirit, and He will teach and train our new self which is being renewed, day by day, into even greater knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.

• Israel were to share this knowledge with the Gentiles so that the nations would come to know that God is the Lord. Israel were given the Law.

• As we apply 'The Golden Rule' in our lives, may our godly conduct help to draw many into a saving knowledge of Christ Jesus.

• There are many sayings in this book that are familiar to most Christians like: The fear of the Lord, is the beginning of wisdom; Knowledge of the Holy One is understanding; Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.

• He acknowledged their thirst for knowledge and understanding, and commended them on their great religious fervour – and THEN began teaching the truth from that point.Secondly, he started to teach these pagans from the very beginning.

• From the very beginning, man was given clear and incontrovertible knowledge of his holy and righteous Creator, for Paul tells us that man was: Created in righteousness and true holiness.

• Like this woman, those that take Scripture and distort it to fit in their own denominational leanings or partial understanding, and those that limited the truth of God's Word to comply in with their own finite knowledge or philosophical leanings, will find themselves in an equally sorry state.

• His father announced that John would be a prophet of the Most High and give God's people a knowledge of salvation through the forgiveness of their sin, and throughout his ministry, John gave testimony of the Person and work of Christ. 

• Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God!

• Everything God created was very good, and I am sure that the tree of knowledge produced delicious food and was a delight to behold.
• However, God placed one restriction on the man created in His own image, to test him: You are free to eat from ANY tree of the garden, Adam was told, but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for on the day you eat from it, you will certainly die. Adam was made with a 'mind' to think and a 'free-will' with which to make choices, but he was also given one command to follow, to test his fidelity: Do not eat from the tree of the knowledge.
• It was only after she had eaten of the tree of knowledge that she found herself spiritually separated from God and dead in trespasses and sin.
• Her beautiful relationship with the Lord had been severed, and she discovered a shocking reality; she had the knowledge of evil without the ability to avoid it and the knowledge of good without the ability to do it.

• Paul makes a direct reference to this first act of creation when he writes: For God, Who said, let light shine out of darkness, make His light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

• Indeed, it is not God's will that anyone should perish but that all should come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and so be given eternal life, and there are a multitude of heavenly benefits that flow from this free gift of salvation, given to all who trust in Jesus as Saviour.

• The things about which John and his fellow apostle wrote, produced in them a harvest of joy, for a knowledge of the gospel produced spiritual well-being in all to whom they ministered.
• In his second epistle to the elect lady, John wanted to make her joy complete by coming to speak to her about the Lord Jesus, face to face, while in his third letter to Gaius, he admits he has no greater joy than to hear that his children are walking in a knowledge of the truth of the gospel.
• A knowledge of the truth of God's Word brings joy to every heart that trusts in Christ for salvation.
• But there is an even greater joy that can be experienced, when the people we care about and those with whom we share the truth of the gospel, also discover that same, inner thrill that bubbles up into a spiritual knowledge and understanding of who we are in Christ and what He has accomplished on our behalf: These things we write, so that our joy may be made complete, these things we write so that your joy may also be complete

• And the Spirit of the LORD rested upon Him; the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of might, the Spirit of the knowledge and reverence for the Lord.

• Oh, we can judge the false teaching through knowledge of Scripture, and we should judge ourselves to see if we are walking in spirit and truth, but we are all sinners saved by grace and for that, we praise and thank our heavenly Father.

• Those that are saved also have the indwelling Holy Spirit of God Who is there to teach and train our new, born-again nature to grow in grace and in the knowledge of Christ.
• Rather, we should walk in spirit and truth so that we may grow in grace and in a knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

• The first is a God-focussed, Christian mindset that is rooted in the wisdom and knowledge of God and the second is a God-rejecting, Christ-hating, worldly view, that is grounded on the wisdom of the world - where man is the focus of his own attention.

• Throughout the course of history, humanity continues its endless search for something that is beyond human knowledge.

• If we are to grow in grace and in a knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, we are bound to go through various difficulties and dangers, trials and tribulations.

• Adam was told: Of every tree of the garden you may truly eat but of the tree of knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for the day on which you eat of it you will surly DIE.

• Although she must have been appalled at Christ's intimate knowledge of her sordid, secret, sinful past, this woman was prepared to admit her wrongdoing and acknowledge her need of a Saviour.

• He presumptuously presents himself as a man who is speaking for God Himself, and who was the proud possessor of hidden knowledge from which others were excluded!

• He was and is co-equal with the Father in work, in knowledge, in the resurrecting of the dead, and in giving life to all who will believe on His name.

• This is one who will grow in grace and in a knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, for the man or woman who chooses to take God at His Word and live their Christian life trusting all He says, no matter how much their emotions, feelings, or circumstances seem to scream the opposite, is the man or woman that will be taught by the Spirit of God and come to a deeper understanding, as He gently guides them into all truth.

• Paul's desire for all Christians is that we study to show ourselves approved unto God so that we may grow in grace and in a knowledge of the Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
• Paul knows that spiritual knowledge, godly counsel, and an understanding of the Scripture, is able to make us wise for salvation, through faith in Christ Jesus our Lord.

• No doubt as he reflected on life and living, in the knowledge that the Messiah was coming one day to sit on his throne and establish an everlasting kingdom, David cried out: Blessed be my Rock and exalted be the GOD of my salvation.  David knew his Saviour was coming one day and together with all Old Testament saints, he looked forward to that day of redemption and rejoiced in the God of their salvation Who was to come.

• We can be confident in the knowledge that we will always find help in times of need, and when we feel alone, oppressed, discouraged, or in despair, we have His Word that He is with us and will never leave us.

• He exhorted his son to diligently seek her out as one would painstakingly search for hidden treasures - for a knowledge of the Holy One is understanding and has eternal consequences.
• Solomon discovered, through his frenetic search for fulfilment in life, that the things this world values are ultimately a striving after the wind, but that The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and a knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
• The more we immerse ourselves in the inerrant and uncompromised Word of God, the more we come to a knowledge of the Holy One and the greater we discover the enormity of His plans and purposes for each one of His blood-bought children.

• How important to know the Scriptures that are written for our learning, and to read, mark, learn, inwardly digest, and apply their godly instruction during this age of grace, and to rightly divide the Word of truth so that we may grow in grace and in a knowledge of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

• Once we are born again, we start to grow in grace and in a knowledge of our Lord and Saviour.

• Christ's groundbreaking revelation was through love - a supernatural love that only comes from above... a godly and God-given love, about which the world has no knowledge or understanding.

• Indeed, we may even be shunned by friends, family, and colleagues alike, but let us all seek to echo the words of Paul; that for the sake of Christ we are prepared to: Count all things but loss for the excellency the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ.

• They were arrogant men who had apparently accused Paul of being a fool, unskilled in speech, and lacking in Scriptural knowledge.
• He refused to be intimidated by the bullying tactics of these fleshly minded prosperity teachers, who, unlike Paul, boasted about their superior knowledge and understanding of religious things, and even charged the Corinthian Christians a high price for the privilege of their 'services'.
• Paul chose to brag about something entirely different from his knowledge, understanding, achievements, and divine appointment: If I have to boast, he wrote, If it is necessary for me to boast and brag about anything, I will boast of what pertains to my weakness.

• God desires that we grow in grace and in a knowledge of our Lord and Saviour.

• An identifying mark of this time is that men will keep on learning, but never be able to arrive at a knowledge of the truth.

• It is only through a knowledge of the truth of Scripture that we can know the Spirit of God, for every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God while: Every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God.

• One identifying characteristic of these end times in which we live, is that men and women would always be learning new things but never being able to come to a sound knowledge and pure understanding of the gospel message.

• By remaining immersed in division, discord, and even depravity, these believers identified themselves as carnal Christians who had reverted to spiritual infancy instead of maturing in the faith, growing in grace, and being built up in a knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.

• The chief corner-stone of this holy Temple is Christ Himself, and His chosen apostles and prophets are the ones who have laid the doctrinal foundation upon which this spiritual temple is being built, for they were given the knowledge of the glorious gospel of grace by Christ Himself, and to them was unfolded the mystery of the Church in this present dispensation; a mystery which had been hidden in time past from all previous generations.

• This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and a knowledge of God's Son, that we will become mature in the Lord and measure up to the full and complete standard of Christ.

• Indeed, they did not lack in any spiritual gift, but had been enriched in every way with all kinds of speech and with all knowledge.
• If the gift of prophecy, faith, knowledge, or understanding is not ministered in love, it means nothing. 
• Even if we were endowed with prophetic utterances, enabled to understand all God's secret purposes, obtained all knowledge, or endowed with enough supernatural faith to move mountains, it is of no consequence without love for one another.

• He prayed that God would bestow on them a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Christ Jesus, and He begins to explain the mystery of God's will - the redemption of man through the Lord Jesus Christ, through Whom He will usher in the fullness of the times and bring everything together in Him.

• And let this outpouring of the love of Christ, draw many into a saving knowledge of our Saviour.

• For a time, all Job had was a shallow knowledge of God, but after his encounter with the Lord, he was given a deeper and more intimate awareness of Who God truly is.

• We are fearfully and wonderfully made, and every stanza of this beautiful Psalm drips with God's greatness and tenderness and gives us a glimpse into the unfathomable knowledge of our eternal Creator.

• And although that light will not save him, for salvation is found in Christ alone, nevertheless such knowledge and light will condemn him, as Paul tells us in the early chapters of Romans.

• We are born of His Spirit, washed in His blood, and are being transformed, day after day, into the beautiful image and likeness of the lovely Lord Jesus, as we grow in grace and in a knowledge of Him.
• This knowledge will comfort us and assure our heart before Him, for our inner being and God-given conscience will not condemn those that are living in spirit and walking in truth.

• Although the unregenerate man can gain much value from reading the book of Proverbs and applying its wisdom in their lives, the underlying principle that should govern our acquisition of knowledge and understanding, and which should impact our entire life, is to reverence of the Lord in the beauty of His holiness, for doing so will not only influence the lives we live today in a positive way, but will enable us to reap glorious rewards in the eternal ages to come.

• It is not simply knowing about Him that is important, but coming to a personal knowledge of Him, in a close and intimate way.

• The Lord could easily have done all these great things without informing David - but in His grace and love, and according to His knowledge and wisdom, the Lord shared this information with the shepherd king of Israel who recognised the loving-kindness of his Creator in giving him this information.

• Despite all his learning and knowledge, Nicodemus did not see the true and living God behind the face of this perfect Man that he came to visit that night, and only credited Him with being a great teacher and an outstanding example to follow.

• Each of us are to lay aside the deceit and hypocrisy of this fallen world and grow in grace and in a knowledge of our Lord and Saviour. Each of us are indwelt by the Holy Spirit and have a unique part to play, as the Lord Jesus Christ builds His Church and constructs His holy habitation.

• Our seeking is designed by God to enable us to grow in grace and in a knowledge of the Lord Jesus.

• The Lamb on the throne had seven horns and seven eyes, representing the sevenfold manifestations of the Holy Spirit of God, and symbolising strength and wisdom, power and knowledge, authority and intelligence, omnipotence and omniscience.

• From writings of the past, we understand that the Lord desires mercy from His children and not sacrifice, and this picture of the Burnt Offering shows that the Lord yearns that His children grow in grace and gain a deeper, more intimate knowledge of the Father, and of Jesus Christ Whom He has sent.

• May we live each day in the knowledge that our eternity is secure in the hands of our loving Lord.

• Every man has a knowledge of God, Who alone is the source of true wisdom and knowledge, but man's prideful refusal to acknowledge the truth and glorify God is a path that leads to a twisted mindset, futile imaginings, moral insensitivity, a seared conscience, and the finality of inevitable death, destruction, and separation from God.

• We live in a fallen world where we will always be faced with trials, temptations, difficulties, and dangers, but we patiently endure in the knowledge that Christ died and rose again so that we might be made a new creation in Christ.

• That old sin nature will remain in bitter rivalry with my new life in Christ which must grow in grace and mature in the knowledge of Jesus.

• Our hunger and thirst should be for Him - for Christ - that we may grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, for as we yield our lives to the Holy Spirit He will conform us to become more and more like Christ.

• Paul knew that they had received sound teaching which should result in them growing in grace and in a knowledge of the Lord Jesus, but instead they were manifesting jealously and strife amongst themselves and displaying the ungodly behaviours of unsaved pagans rather than spirit-filled believers.

• The world too often equates wisdom with knowledge, but godly wisdom is given from above, as the Spirit of God directs the steps of a man and guides him in his actions and attitude.
• Wisdom does not depend on how much knowledge a man manages to acquire but on how a man conducts himself in his everyday life.

• Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God and new birth happens when the truth of God's Word is translated from intellectual, head knowledge into confident, heart faith through the convicting ministry of the Holy Spirit of God.

• The one who reverences the Lord is a wise man indeed, for wisdom and prudence are rooted in godly fear and the one who worships the Lord in the beauty of holiness is he or she who discovers spiritual knowledge and godly discretion, which is beyond the limited understanding of the natural man.

• May we truly stand firm in the evil day and grow in grace and wisdom and a knowledge of our Lord and Saviour in Whom we trust, for He alone is worthy of all praise. 

• We do not know the identity of this chosen lady, but she was a woman who had loved and trusted the Lord Jesus Christ for her salvation and had wisely taught this truth to her children, and John had no doubt ministered to her and rejoiced to see her and her family grow in a knowledge of the truth.

• Our inner man is growing in grace and in a knowledge of our Lord and Saviour, as we walk in spirit and truth and abide in Christ and He in us.

• What privilege to know that through His divine power, God has given every believer in Christ Jesus our Lord, all we need that pertain to life and godliness, and it is appropriated through a knowledge of Him.
• And His divine power is accessed through a knowledge of Him Who called us out of darkness into His marvellous light.
• His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness and comes through a true knowledge of Him.
• It is by trusting His Word, by believing that His great and precious promises are true, and by acting on that knowledge by faith, that we may partake of His divine power.

• In Romans, we rejoice at the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God.
• Similarly, the apostle Peter also rejoiced in God and gave glory to His name when he considered the amazing and over-abounding grace of God, and instructed believers: Grow in the grace and in a knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, Who is worthy of all honour and glory, both now and to the day of eternity.

• Although such folk give an appearance of knowing the Scriptures, Paul warned that such shallow people never grow in grace or come to a knowledge of the truth.

• And though we may not understand how this knowledge is possible, let us trust every day of our lives into our incomprehensible God Who died that we might live.

• In other renderings, we read: You have an ANOINTING from the Holy One, and all of you have knowledge.
• It is at this point that John explains that unlike these false teachers and false-hearted 'believers', true believers have an unction from the Holy Spirit, they have the anointing of the Holy Spirit, they have been born-again and have the indwelling Holy Spirit of God: But YOU have an anointing from the Holy One, and you all have knowledge, he explained.
• And because of this anointing, they were God's children and had access to all-knowledge.

• The Lord is full of mercy and of great goodness, and the main reason for the Great Tribulation is to punish a Christ-hating sinful world and to bring the erring people of Israel back to a knowledge of their Messiah. 

• We read: His face shone like the unclouded sun shining in its strength. John had captured a tiny glimpse of the majesty of Christ when the Lord was transfigured on the holy Mount, but as he lay prostrate on the floor before Jesus, His might, majesty, dominion, and power displayed the brilliance of His Person and, no doubt, gave the apostle an increased understanding of what it cost the Father to give His Son as the sacrifice for the sin of the whole world: God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

• And so in Hebrews 10:26 we read: For if we go on sinning wilfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins.
• We begin our Christian life by getting to know Him as our Saviour, but as we grow in grace and deepen our knowledge of Him, we come to know Him better, to love Him more, and to acknowledge Him as our Lord and our God.

• Indeed, as we witness the faithfulness of God in the difficult struggles of life and experience His tender mercies in the painful circumstances through which we must inevitably pass, our love for God can only deepen and strengthen - as we grow in grace and in a knowledge of Him.

• Keep them secure in the knowledge of Yourself and the truth of Your Word.

• When Adam sinned, man received a twisted and contorted sin nature that gave him knowledge of what was good without the capacity to do good, and also knowledge of what was evil without the capacity to avoid it.

• Maybe they were simply speaking of their physical need, but maybe they understood that before them stood the promised Messiah of Israel, the Shepherd of the sheep Who would give to His people the knowledge of salvation through the forgiveness of their sins.
• Maybe these men understood that here was the One Who would supply all they needed according to the riches of God's amazing grace, and Who would shine the light of the knowledge of God into their hungry hearts, guide their feet into the way of eternal peace, and open their eyes to see the truth of the knowledge of God: So Jesus had compassion on them and touched the eyes of His two countrymen, and restored their sight.

• Both joy in the Lord and gentleness of heart are attitudes that should permeate the soul and spirit of the righteous, for we are called upon to: Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God, knowing that when we do so: The peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus, in a deepening knowledge of Jesus Christ, our gentle God and gracious Saviour.

• O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God!

• The old apostle Peter knew that his time on earth was short, but felt it necessary to continue reminding believers of the truths of the Word of God and of the responsibility we all have to become increasingly established in the gospel of Christ so that we may grow in grace and become increasingly fruitful in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

• Knowledge of sin comes through the Law.
• Once we have a knowledge of the Law, we have no alternative but to admit we are wretched sinners in need of forgiveness, which only comes by faith in Christ.
• As a strict Pharisee, Paul had prided himself on sticking to the letter of the Law, but came to the terrible realisation that despite his outward piety, he himself had a greedy, grasping, covetous heart. In spite of His exterior religiosity, Paul nursed a sinful, covetous heart, which was only exposed through knowledge of the Law.
• This simple command has far-reaching implications in the life of every man, for knowledge of sin comes through the Law and knowledge of the Law exposes SIN.

• Do we, like David, lie down in peace and sleep secure in the knowledge that He is in control?

• Paul first mentions the dangers of Gnosticism, which promotes salvation through a secret or hidden knowledge for a few initiated elite people, but which denies that Christ is fully God yet fully Man.

• The first, important step towards acquiring godly wisdom, is to recognise one's lack... and to understand that God is the only one that can supply the knowledge and understanding we need - according to His riches in glory.
• He is the fountain of knowledge and we should desire to gain understanding, more than much fine gold.
• It is not an academic, head knowledge of God's Word that is important... but a consecrated soul whose heart is fully submitted to Him, and whose life is a living sacrifice unto the Lord.

• In the same way that Christ's delight was to do the will of His Father, so we should be enamoured with the Lord Jesus, that no one is more important in our life than Him, and nothing is of greater significance than gaining a deeper knowledge of Him, obeying His Word, doing His will, and remaining faithful in the task He has given us to do.

• And this will result in our growing in grace and in a knowledge of the Lord Jesus Who is the crucified, resurrected, ascended, living Word of God, seated at the right hand of the Father.

• Paul gave some important teaching concerning the organisation and orderliness of the Church in Titus chapter 2, so that the Body of Christ would come to a knowledge of the truth, which leads to godliness.

• In the earlier verses of Romans chapter 2, Paul explained that although the Law of Moses was not given to Gentiles, nevertheless they have been endowed with an innate knowledge of what is good and evil.

• He longs for both the unsaved to repent and turn away from their sin by looking to Jesus and trusting in Him, and desires those who are already justified, to grow in grace, live godly lives, and turn away from anything that might stunt their spiritual growth: God desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
• It is not God's will that any should perish but that all should come to a knowledge of the gospel of God and of Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son.

• They asked one another where He got His wisdom and knowledge.
• He had come to give to His people the knowledge of salvation through the forgiveness of their sins.

• But Christ continues to build His Church, often in secret and often without our knowledge, but Paul's admonition still stands today that we guard our hearts, stand firm in the faith, and take heed of the whole counsel of God, not only on our own account but in order to protect those whom God has chosen to place in our care.

• His white hair pictured His dignified office as the Ancient of Days and evidenced His wisdom, knowledge, discernment, and judgement.

• Paul rightly pointed out that a worthy Christian walk is not dependent on being seen by others, but by maintaining a right spirit within: the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding; the Spirit of counsel and of might; the Spirit of the knowledge and of fear of the Lord.

• His plan is that the new-life-in-Christ that we received when we were born again, grows in grace and in a knowledge of the Lord Jesus, and that the beautiful character of Jesus is formed in us, as we live our lives in spirit and truth by submitting to the leading and guiding of the Holy Spirit within.

• Eagerly expecting the Day of the Lord is not a vain, fingers-crossed type of hope, but a secure knowledge that God's Word will most certainly come to pass in the future.

• Paul's prayer was a prayer of thanks and rejoicing for their faith, hope, and love, and it was a request to their Heavenly Father that they might be filled with the knowledge of God's will in all wisdom, grace and spiritual understanding.
• He prayed that they would bear fruit in every good work and daily increase in their knowledge of God and their love for their Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ.
• Paul himself knew the joy of entering into a deeper knowledge of Christ and entering into closer intimacy with his Saviour, and he earnestly desired that these brothers and sisters in Christ would come to know Him in a similar way.

• They are the ones that know how to apply the knowledge they have been taught.
• During His ministry, men marvelled at His biblical knowledge and wondered at the gracious words that fell from His lips.

• In the first four verses of this section, the older man describes the way that the young man needs to behave if he is to acquire the knowledge that his father is offering, and live a wholesome and productive life.
• He is to search for wisdom as he would seek for hidden treasure and precious stones... and he is to understand that the fear of the Lord and reverence for the holy name of God... is the beginning of wisdom and the fount of all knowledge.
• May we be those who dig deeply into the treasure houses contained in the pages of Scripture and discover for ourselves the boundless riches of Christ, in Whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

• There are certain scriptural truths that should be so much a part of our inner being that we have not the slightest doubt or uncertainty of their veracity: 1) God's sovereign rule. 2) His goodness and grace to all. 3) The duty of all people and nations to exalt His holy name. 4) For those who are saved by grace through faith in Christ, to develop an ever-deepening knowledge of the Person and Work of the Lord Jesus.

• Our only sufficiency against the perils of philosophy, legalism, religiosity, and every other form of human of reasoning is in Christ: In Him are hidden ALL the treasures of true wisdom and godly knowledge.

• Hebrews is written to seasoned believers who should be increasing in faith, growing in grace, and enlarging their knowledge of the truth.

• The world at large prides itself on its vast knowledge, extensive understanding, and great wisdom, and yet the accumulated expertise and vast intelligence of fallen man has pronounced war against the Almighty, and proclaimed that there is no God, that 'God is dead', or that 'I am god!'
• It is through mans own perceived wisdom, investigative research, and scientific experimentation, that God has been labelled a delusion and relegated to the position of mythological idiocy. The world does not come to a knowledge of God through their own defective wisdom, but it is through the foolishness of the gospel message preached that people are saved.

• The fear of the Lord and reverence for His holy name is the foundation upon which each one of us should build our lives, for fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, the foundation of knowledge, and the gateway to truth.
• Today, we are flooded with worldly wisdom and swamped with knowledge and instruction from every section of humanity, but unless the Lord builds the house, they labour in vain to build it.
• Unless our knowledge is founded on a reverential fear of the Lord, and unless our wisdom is established from on high, we run the risk of becoming wise in our own understanding, rather than fools for Christ.
• Jesus is the foundation upon which our knowledge is founded, and He alone commands our reverential fear, humble worship, and eternal devotion, for in Him are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge, and we are positioned in Him.

• We have the indwelling Holy Spirit of knowledge and understanding Who has promised to guide us into all truth and pour into our hearts the peace that passes understanding.

• This love which far surpasses all human knowledge, entitles and enables us, through our union with Him, to be filled up to all the fullness of God.
• How unfathomable is His knowledge and kindness.
• And although this knowledge is too wonderful to comprehend, it is nonetheless Paul's dear desire that we KNOW the riches of His grace towards us and that we UNDERSTAND the length, and depth, and height, and breadth of Christ's love for us, which surpasses human knowledge.
• But this is a mystery that staggers the understanding and surpasses human knowledge, and in which we stand in awe and wonderment.

• He works in the lives of those who are living by faith and not by sight, and His love is perfected in the lives of those that are growing in grace and in a knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.

• Jesus Christ is THE Truth Who opens up our understanding of God and gives us knowledge of God, a truth that confounds the wisdom of man and silences all the presuppositions of prideful humanity.

• How important that the wise teachings of Paul, on division within the church, are applied in congregations today - if men and women are to grow in grace and in a knowledge of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

• This extraordinary knowledge is beyond our understanding.

• 'The Revelation of Jesus Christ' is a prophetic book that opens up our knowledge and understanding of our Saviour: And when we finally see Him we will know Him as we are known.

• Having died to sin, we are called to grow in grace and in a knowledge of Him, for we are no longer dead in our sin but alive to Christ: For we have died to sin. We are no longer estranged from God but reunited with Him, in love: For we have died to sin.
• There are likely to be times when we will fail and our practice will not reflect our position, but our earnest desire should be to grow in grace and in a knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

• Joshua was to saturate himself in the Word of God, to meditate on the promises of God, to trust in the truth of God's Word, and follow the demands of God that had been given to Israel - in the knowledge that God was with Him and the Lord was his strength.
• We too are to immerse ourselves in the Word of God, to meditate on the promises of God, to trust in the truth of God's Word, to follow the demands of God that have been given to the Church - in the knowledge that Christ is with us and His strength is made perfect in our weakness.

• But he also knew that spiritual growth is not automatic, for we must grow and mature in grace and in a knowledge of our Saviour, Jesus Christ.
• The more we grow in this manner, the more productive and useful we become, and the greater will be our knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, as we abide in Him to His praise and glory, and for His name's sake.
• We travel through this ungodly world as Christ's ambassadors and representatives of heaven, and God's will for each of our lives is that we become increasingly fruitful in the knowledge of Him Who called us out of darkness into His marvellous light, and that we share the good news of the gospel of grace with men and women who are dead in their sins and without God in the world.

• All that pertains to life and godliness in a believer is achieved through the ministry of the Holy Spirit within our heart and the intercessory ministry of our great High Priest in heaven, for it is God Who works in us, to equip each believer to mature in the faith, to grow in grace, and to come into a fuller and deeper knowledge of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

• However, veiling knowledge of the truth to unbelievers through parabolic teachings, demonstrates the incredible grace of God so that mans' sin will not be exacerbated through their spiritual understanding.
• They would mature spiritually and gain an even greater understanding of biblical truth, while those who rejected the same spiritual reality, would end up in a worse spiritual condition, because even the superficial knowledge they may have gleaned through gospel truths, would be taken from them and they would remain spiritual paupers and face eternal separation from God.

• When Adam disobeyed the Lord and ate of the forbidden fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, he was endowed with an understanding of what was good - without the ability to do good.
• And he was given a knowledge of evil, without the capacity to resist what is wrong and do those things that pleased the Lord.

• No doubt, Peter recalled His Master's personal command to, feed my sheep, and provide food for My little lambs, as he sought to remind his readers to persevere in life's trials and grow in brotherly love, to be fruitful in their knowledge and understanding of the Lord Jesus Christ, and to make their calling steadfast and sure.
• We do not know how the Lord revealed this knowledge to Peter.

• How he rejoiced to know that these believers in Philippi were growing in grace and gaining a mature knowledge of Jesus.It must have been a great joy for the Philippian Christians to receive and read this encouraging epistle from Paul.

• To emphases how worthless worldly wisdom is, Paul... who was so highly accomplished in every aspect of human wisdom and knowledge, did not come in the power of his own academic abilities and articulate excellence.

• Although we have a new nature (our new-life-in-Christ), we are gradually being sanctified in Him as we grow in grace and in a knowledge of the Lord Jesus.

• Self-confidence in one's own acquired knowledge or self-assurance in one's own accumulated wealth or military might is a recipe for eternal disaster in God's economy, for God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame those that are wise in their own eyes.

• Paul rejoiced that in the past, these believers had come to a knowledge of the gospel of grace; in the present, they were demonstrating the love of Christ in their lives; and they looked to the future with joyful hope, knowing that one day they would: Ever be with the Lord.
• It was because of their sincere faith in the gospel, their future hope in God's promises, the abundance of fruit being produced in their lives, and the deep love they had for one another, that Paul did not cease to pray for them and to ask that they might be filled with the knowledge of God's will, in all spiritual wisdom, knowledge, and understanding.

• God does not want us to remain immature, mollycoddled infants. He wants us to grow in grace and in a knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.

• His prayer for these brothers and sisters in Christ was that they would increase in knowledge and all discernment, as they became increasingly conformed into the image and likeness of the Lord Jesus: And this I pray, he wrote in the opening section of his epistle, I pray that your love may abound still more and more, in real knowledge and in all discernment.The love of God is as unfathomable as it is eternal, and yet the Lord Jesus commanded us to love as He loved, and Paul prayed that love would overflow in our hearts.
• But it was not simply an abundance of love for which Paul prayed, but that their love would abound more and more in real knowledge and discernment.
• He prayed that the love in their hearts would be endowed with godly wisdom, and a knowledge of the holy that is able to approve things that are excellent so that they may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ.
• Indeed, this should also be our continuous prayer for our brothers and sisters in Christ – that our love increases and abounds, as we worship our heavenly King, grow in grace, and develop a more intimate knowledge of God.

• They needed to be reminded - and comforted in the knowledge that our faithful God has promised to sanctify each one of us wholly and completely - spirit, soul, and body, and that before the Day of the Lord and the Great Tribulation, the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God.
• And just as Jesus learned obedience through the things that He suffered, we are to follow in His footsteps, for His name's sake  - as we grow in grace and in a knowledge and likeness of Jesus 

• Surely there is nothing that should excite our hearts more readily than the knowledge that we are loved so deeply by God Himself - in the person of Jesus Christ - the Word made flesh.

• God has kept the oath which He swore to Abraham our father - that we, being rescued from the hand of our enemies, might serve Him without fear, in holiness and righteousness all our days.... The Messiah has come to give to His people the knowledge of salvation through the forgiveness of their sins, because of the tender mercy of our God - and to guide our feet into the way of peace!
• But once we are justified... we should strive to grow in grace and in a knowledge of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, and to study the Scriptures daily, so that we do not make the same mistake as the religious leaders of Christ's day.

• But the verse also warns us that having gained wisdom and knowledge, we must beware not to turn aside from the truth or stray from the godly path of righteousness.
• Having matured in our faith and having grown in our spiritual walk, we should never forget what we have learned, nor should we turn away from the fount of all knowledge or leave our first love, Christ Jesus, our Lord.
• When we are part of Christ's Body, we have access to the fount of all wisdom and the well-spring of all knowledge.
• To learn of the unsearchable wisdom and knowledge of Christ should be our life-time desire, and we should seek Him (Whom to know is life eternal), with our whole being.

• Similarly, when teaching non-Jews about the Lord Jesus, Paul used elements in everyday Gentile culture to lead them to a deeper knowledge of the truth of the glorious gospel of God.
• He used examples from farming, the military, cooking, and even the popular athletic games, when describing the need for patient endurance, spiritual protection, self-control, and the need to grow in grace and in a knowledge of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

• Without knowledge of God's given standard, none of us would be able to measure ourselves against God's perfect standard of holiness.

• But our whole life should be lived in the knowledge that we really do have the most wonderful eternal hope, prepared for us in heaven.

• Such praise is founded on the sure knowledge that the Lord is not only our protection through all the changing scenes of this life, but that death, which is man's greatest enemy, will be finally conquered.
• David's knowledge and understanding of the character of God, brought him an inner peace that only comes from the Lord.

• But despite years of study and their knowledge of the Scriptures, these argumentative religious leaders did not KNOW God.
• They should have known that faith... not works, worldly wisdom, or religious knowledge, is credited as by God righteousness, for we read in Genesis that Abraham believed God, and his faith was credited to him as righteousness.

• The apostle John loved his Lord, and throughout his writings, sought to bring others to a knowledge of the Lord Jesus and to trust in His salvation.
• Since Christ received a resurrection body, we too will receive a resurrection body, and John wants this knowledge to be fixed in our heart so that as a believer you may KNOW that ye have eternal life.

• Hebrews may have been written to help Jews in the early Church come to terms with Christ's superiority over the old order, but the lessons we can learn from this amazing epistle, provide a wealth of knowledge and understanding of our great God and Saviour Who was born into His own creation so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

• Paul prays that their love for God and their love towards each other might expand and overflow in all knowledge, discernment, and spiritual maturity.

• It is not God's will that anyone should perish, but that all come to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus – but God gives every single man and woman a choice to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved or to reject the gospel of grace and be condemned.

• Trusting God unreservedly is the centre and circumference of all wisdom because He is the beginning and the end of all knowledge.
• Trusting the Lord is to believe His Word and to live by the knowledge that His Word is true and altogether perfect.
• The plans He has for each one of His own reach beyond our knowledge or understanding.
• How foolish to drink from the brackish waters of this world's broken cisterns when He floods our hearts and lives with the sparkling river of life.His ways, thoughts, wisdom, and knowledge are so far above our little ways, limited thoughts, and foolish imaginings, and yet so often we choose our own fleshly wisdom and scant understanding to direct our path.

• May we cultivate the sort of faith demonstrated in the words and actions of this Roman centurion and cultivate a faith that believes in the authority of God's Word and the knowledge that His Word is TRUE.

• To prevent ourselves from being deceived, we must come to a secure understanding that in Christ alone are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge, so that we are not enticed from biblical truth by the convincing arguments of men and their humanistic philosophies.
• We must never forget that undistorted truth is found only in the Word of God, which must remain our all-sufficient plum-line for wisdom, knowledge, truth, and doctrine.
• Having been rooted in Christ at salvation, believers should be continuously growing in the faith in order to became increasingly stable in doctrinal knowledge and our understanding of the gospel, which will manifest itself in an ever increasing mental attitude of thanksgiving and grateful praise.
• It is only as we stand firm in the faith and continue to grow in the knowledge of Christ, that we will be able to stand firm on the truth, for Paul tells us that our stability stems from biblical doctrine and sound teaching.
• As believers, we do not have to succumb to any alternatives because we are in Christ and are complete in Him, for in Him dwells all the knowledge of the Godhead bodily.

• And so they concluded their song by praising God in the knowledge that He would deliver them from all that would harm them, and provide all they needed for life and godliness.

• When a believer undertakes to abide in Christ and in a knowledge of Him, he will do so as he maintains unbroken fellowship with the Father.

• The Lord was not a distant deity, but a precious and personal Champion in Whom David could take refuge, secure in the knowledge that God would save him from the violence of the evil enemy.

• The Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth comes knowledge and understanding. - Proverbs 2:6.
• But let us never forget that in Christ are found ALL the treasures of wisdom, knowledge, and understanding, and we who have been saved by grace through faith have direct access to the Lord Himself, for we have the mind of Christ - and any of us who lack wisdom are entreated to ask God - Who will give generously to all, without finding fault.

• When the heart of a sinner is ignited in the gospel of Christ, God works His wonderful regenerative work in that life, and a blacked, sin-sick soul, is illuminated with knowledge of the Light that shines out of darkness.
• By faith, he receives enlightenment of the knowledge of God's manifest glory, in the presence of Jesus Christ.
• The illuminating light of His sufficiency and knowledge, His wisdom and grace, His truth and His power, is reflected in the shining face of the wonderful Lord Jesus.
• And yet in His grace, God determined that Light shall shine out of darkness: He shone truth into our hearts, to give us the light of the knowledge of God's glory in the face of Jesus Christ.
• It was Paul who penned these beautiful words to the Christians at Colossae, for he had come to a personal knowledge of the truth.
• God in His mercy and love has provided all men with a knowledge of the true Light, through the external witness of nature and the inner witness of our conscience.

• So troubled was Habakkuk by this knowledge, that he determined to stand guard on the rampart and keep watch to see if the Lord would provide some hope for His people.

• We are to clothe ourselves in Christ, for through Him we have the ability to cast down men's high-minded murmuring against God... to lay waste the imagination of man, and put to naught everything that exalts itself against the knowledge of the truth.
• In Christ, we have the sufficient grace and spiritual strength to bring down high-minded babblings that have been raised up against the knowledge of the truth - as we take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.
• May we be ready to counter all the foolish thoughts and false perceptions of fallen man who seeks to contradict the truth of the knowledge of the gospel of God.

• How wonderful to be able to rest in the knowledge that our eternity is secure.

• Our God of grace is willing to extend His arms of love and forgiveness to all Who will trust in Jesus, for He is not willing that any should be condemned but that all come to a saving knowledge of the Lord.

• The attributes of God are incomparable in their beauty, His perfections are unlimited in their number, His excellence is everlasting in its duration, and splendour is absolute in its span.We who have been saved by grace, are to enter into the glories of the celestial sphere and our understanding and knowledge of God must continue throughout the ages to come.

• In His final message to the disciples, the Lord Jesus explained that knowledge of the truth was man's greatest freedom in a world that is enslaved by sin, oppressed by Satan, condemned to death, and bound for hell.

• Their intellects become disordered, and they themselves are wilfully blinded to the knowledge of the truth of the glorious gospel of Christ.

• God caused the treasured light of the knowledge of the glory of God, to fill and flood our weak, physical bodies so that He might live in us and work through us, for our eternal benefit and for His greater praise and glory.
• The light of the knowledge of the glory of God started to stream into our hearts at the point of salvation, and His indwelling Spirit is the greatest treasure of God Who resides in mortal man.
• The almighty Creator Who caused light to shine out of darkness, is the One Who has shone in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ so that His life may dwell in us and His love may shine into our hearts and that we may be made ministers of His grace and show forth the excellency of His power to those that remain dead in their trespasses and sins.There is no merit in us that we should be so honoured, as the contrast between our frail, feeble, perishing bodies and His divine strength and eternal light demonstrates, but by His goodness and grace, this heavenly treasure has been placed in earthen vessels (our human body).

• God desires that ALL His children grow in grace, mature in their Christian life, and come into a deeper and more intimate knowledge of His character and His will.
• Abraham continued to believe God throughout various tests and trials he underwent, and Abraham grew in grace and in a knowledge of the God in Whom he trusted.

• Knowledge of our sure salvation and our eternal inheritance should give every Christian the confidence to pray in faith and to pray expectantly, knowing that God hears our cries, and that He will answer anything and everything that is asked, according to His will.

• Knowledge of the Holy One provides us with a place of refuge.
• God in His grace has chosen to reveal certain things to those that fear Him BUT this knowledge can never be discovered by man's intellect, nor by Satan's cunning.

• When Adam ate of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, he plunged his entire race into the cesspit of sin.

• It is understandable that his desire was that we all come to a knowledge of Christ and increase in spiritual awareness.
• May we, like Paul, bow the knee before our Father in heaven from whom every family in heaven and earth derives its name, and let us pray that with us, they may be granted to know the riches of His glory so that they too may be able to comprehend with all the saints, what is the breadth, and length, and height, and depth of God's love and to know the love of Christ, which surpasses all knowledge.

• Peter exhorts us to give all diligence to add moral excellence, godly knowledge, and self-control to our faith, and to strive after patient endurance, brotherly kindness, and godly love.
• Peter knows that such qualities are the birthright of all who are in Christ Jesus, and that if these godly qualities are evident in our lives, we will become fruitful in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
• In so doing, we become spiritually fruitful as we add moral excellence, godly knowledge, and self-control to our faith in Christ.

• His claim to be God offended them, and their devious enquiry was designed trip Him up, but in Christ are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge, and they were astonished at His gracious replies.

• Although certain elements of God's wisdom have already been revealed to us through holy men of God who were moved by the supernatural work of the Spirt of God, there is much of God's infinite wisdom and knowledge that continues to remain hidden to the limited finite minds and flawed imaginations of fallen man.

• He prayed that we would increase in understanding and knowledge, and be granted greater illumination and spiritual revelation of our Father in heaven and His anointed Son, Jesus Christ, Who died for our sins and rose again the third day to give us His abundant life, according to the riches of His grace.

• But if a  Christian obeys Christ's command to abide in Him and He in us, he will bring forth much fruit: 10-fold, 50-fold, and maybe 100-fold, and he will hear Jesus say: Well-done good and faithful servant.To abide in Christ and to rest in His love is to know with absolute certainty, that He alone is life’s sufficiency and to act on this knowledge.
• Wonderful though abiding in Him is to the believer, it is only half of the equation, for as we rest and abide and remain in Him, so He abides in us.As our hearts cleave closely to Him and our minds are flooded with His beauty, so His Spirit abides within each one of us, teaching and training, leading and guiding, helping and comforting with an ever-increasing intimacy, as we grow in His grace and in a knowledge of our precious Saviour.Let us seek to rest in His love and abide in Him, moment by moment and day by day, for He will take each burden and all the pain of life and provide for each of us, the wisdom and strength we need to face the future, until abiding in Him and He in us becomes as natural as breathing.

• And he spends considerable time in his second letter, warning of the devastating influence of false teachers and exhorting us to watch out for their destructive heresies, while urging us to grow in grace and to develop a sound knowledge of the Lord Jesus as we press towards spiritual maturity.
• We, however, must make sure we are rooted and grounded in the essentials of Scripture and be ready and willing to identify and expose false teachers, for by their fruit you will know them and through a knowledge of Scripture you will be equipped to identify and challenge them.

• God's knowledge is based on His omniscience wisdom: Those He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed into the image and likeness of our Saviour Jesus Christ, born into the old creation in Adam and then reborn into the new creation in Christ, by faith.

• While boasting a head-knowledge of God, this prideful man lacked a heart of humility and understanding.
• Theories abound connected with the functioning of the earth, the mysteries of the moon, God's control over the raging waters, and the outer reaches of known knowledge, and the proud, satanic serpent who was defeated at Calvary's Cross.

• Nor should we be taken in by the multitudes of self-proclaimed prophets who profess to have extra-biblical knowledge and a singular and undisclosed understanding of God's Word, beyond the inspired Scriptures.

• Paul knew that one of the best safeguards against false doctrine, empty philosophies, religious legalism, and apostate teaching and is to know the truth, and he is careful to reaffirm the foundational truth of the glorious gospel of grace to remind these believers: In Christ are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
• And in Christ are hidden all the treasures of wisdom, all the treasures of knowledge, all the treasures of life, and all the treasures of matter and space in the material and spiritual realm.
• Today, there is an insatiable thirst for spiritual wisdom, hidden knowledge, esoteric understanding, mystical illumination, and supernatural enlightenment.

• Satan sowed seeds of distrust in their hearts by telling them: God knows that in the day you eat from it (the tree of knowledge of good and evil) your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.
• Eve demonstrated a serious lack of knowledge of God's Word, for she not only misquoted His command but added to what the Lord had said.
• He falsely accused the Lord of withholding knowledge from man, that would benefit humanity: God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.
• Satan approached Eve as an angel of light and promised her enlightenment, but he was in fact a roaring lion seeking to destroy her relationship with God and robbing her of a true knowledge of the Holy One.
• Let us remember that God has given significant revelation in His Word but that there are secret things that belong to the Lord, and may we be aware of the dangers of trying to discover hidden knowledge, gain unscriptural enlightenment or develop a spirituality that is not from the Lord, but denies the One Who bought us.

• The Dayspring from on high - Israel's Kinsman-Redeemer, had come to earth to bring His people a knowledge of salvation through the forgiveness of their sins.

• Paul was convinced that the work that God had started in the believers at Philippi would continue until the day of Christ Jesus, and yet his deep desire for these men and women was that their love for the Lord, and for one another, would overflow in great abundance and that they would keep on growing in knowledge and godly wisdom.

• Adam was given free rein to eat of every single shrub and tree in that beautiful garden, including the fruit of the glorious tree of life, but there was one exception: Of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.
• The price to gain experiential knowledge of good and evil brought with it a high price: the never-ending pain and distress of eternal separation from his gracious Creator God.

• As the federal head of the human race, only Adam broke God's law by eating the forbidden fruit of the tree of knowledge.

• Irrespective of their intellectual capacity, expansive knowledge, impressive qualifications, or amazing accomplishments, the unregenerate man cannot ever receive the things of God.
• The Spirit is seeking to convict the sinner of sin, and righteousness, and judgement, so that he will turn from his unbelief to faith in Christ and be born anew, but until that happens, the one who is dead in their trespasses and sins is incapable of receiving spiritual truth, spiritual knowledge, spiritual wisdom, and spiritual understanding.

• We are to read, mark, learn, and inwardly digest the Word of truth so that we may grow in grace and in a knowledge of the Lord Jesus.

• And although the world may consider those who believe in the Cross to be foolish, weak, insignificant, and of no account, true wisdom from God's perspective comes through a knowledge of Christ and Him crucified.
• When human intellect relegates God and His Christ to the realms of myths and folk-law, they become senseless men with no knowledge of eternal truth.
• The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise godly wisdom and biblical instruction.

• He had no knowledge of the angelic conflict that was raging in the heavenlies.

• Grace and peace is not only given to the child of God, but multiplied as we grow in grace and in a knowledge of our Heavenly Father and our Saviour, Jesus Christ.
• And to moral excellence can be added a deepening knowledge and understanding of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
• And as we journey through our Christian life, we are to: Add to our knowledge temperance or self-control; and to self-control we are to add patience.
• It is through the Word of God that we gain knowledge and understanding, and it is as the message of Christ richly dwells within our heart that the beautiful attribute of long-suffering is able to develop and grow, for our eternal benefit and to the glory of God.
• May all of God's children make every effort to respond to His promises and to supplement our faith with a generous provision of moral excellence, and to the development of moral excellence may we add knowledge, and may our knowledge enlarge into self-control, and our self-control blossom into patient endurance.
• And finally, may our patient endurance grow into godliness, brotherly affection, Christian love, and Christ-like behaviour, knowing that the more we grow in these virtues, the more productive and useful we will become in our Christian life as we grow in grace and in a knowledge of our Saviour, Jesus Christ.

• It is a summons to persevere under trial and press on from the elementary stages of faith to a deeper spiritual knowledge, and richer understanding of the high calling of God that is our present possession in Christ Jesus.

• It has been said that a knowledge of one's own ignorance is the beginning of wisdom and that recognising our lack of wisdom is a prudent step towards understanding.
• Scripture qualifies this by reminding us that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and that a knowledge of the holy brings understanding.
• We all desire to grow in grace and in a knowledge of Jesus and we all long to cultivate an undivided heart that is unruffled by life, as we submit to the guidance of the Holy Spirit and walk in spirit and in truth.Awareness of our lack in any of these areas of our Christian walk or recognising that life’s problems are swamping our fainting hearts is wisdom indeed – and a prudent step towards solving such problems is to ask the Lord for wisdom.
• Truly, a knowledge of our spiritual ignorance is a step towards godly wisdom, and recognising our lack of godly wisdom is a prudent step towards growing in grace, maturing in the faith, and gaining an understanding of our privileged position in Christ and all that He has done for us.God knows that we are weak and frail and He knows that the testing our faith can cause us to complain or murmur or to become unsteady in our Christian walk, but God provides all the wisdom we need to maintain a steady heart, patient endurance, and an unwavering, uncompromised faith in Him.

• Let us spend time with the Lord in His Word, increasing and deepening our understanding of Jesus: In Whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

• We are not simply to read God's Word and study its content in order to expand our knowledge of Scripture.

• Despite all the difficulties and dangers that encompassed his life, Paul was able to i) experience in his life... ii) declare with his lips... iii) write in this letter to his Christian brothers and sisters in Corinth that the answer to all our needs and the antidote to all our fears is Christ, but thanks be to God, was Paul's victorious cry when he discovered the truth, thanks be to God, Who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and manifests through us the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place.
• When we are encompassed by many sorts of dangers and difficult circumstances, may we be willing and able to give thanks to our heavenly Father in all things - knowing that He always leads us in triumph in Christ and manifests through us a sweet-smelling aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place.

• Indeed, David lists the evil lies, corrupt speech, vain babblings, flattering lips, and hidden motives of double-hearted and deceitful men, and takes comfort in the knowledge that one day the Lord will stop all flattering lips, and every boastful tongue will be silenced before the judgement throne of God.

• Not only for ourselves (that we grow in grace and in a knowledge of the Lord Jesus), but for every other member of the Church.

• However, in His grace, God has given us everything that pertains to life and godliness through the knowledge of Him Who called us by His glory and virtue.
• And as we pursue the goal of our calling, it is only as we appropriate what is ours in Christ and zealously apply it to our everyday lives that we grow in our knowledge of Christ, becoming self-controlled, patient, godly, gentle, good, and kind, and Christ-like.

• Nevertheless, in God's grace and mercy, these carnal Christians in Corinth were equally enriched in Christ, in speech and all knowledge.

• He is wanting these believers to come to a deeper knowledge of the Lord and a more secure trust in God, and so he exhorts them to pray for wisdom.

• We are to grow in grace and in a knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ for the rest of our lives.

• He was filled with the Holy Spirit of God, was faithful to boldly preach the gospel of truth, and demonstrated a thorough knowledge and deep love for the Word of God.

• And let us rejoice in the knowledge that God is dealing with us as sons: For what son is he whom the Father chasteneth not?

• As we grow and mature in the Spirit, we grow in grace and in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus.

• In the knowledge of what God has done for us through the life, death, burial, and Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, shouldn't we be joyful with exceeding great joy?

• Although they were gifted with the tongues of men and of angels, prophetic utterances, knowledge, and many benevolent actions, they lacked godly love and did not exhibit spiritual fruit.
• They were not growing in grace and in a knowledge of their Lord and Saviour as God desired, but were regressing in their spiritual growth and maturity... back to infancy, to their great shame.

• But it is the all-encompassing grace of God that is so treasured by believers, for having made peace with God we are enabled to receive the peace of God in our hearts and the ability to grow in grace and in a knowledge of our Saviour, Jesus Christ: For the grace of God has appeared, instructing us, guiding us, teaching us, and conforming us, day by day, into the likeness of Christ.

• No doubt he saw Timothy grow in grace and in a knowledge of the Lord Jesus during their ministry together, but as the time for his parting drew ever closer, Paul was prompted to write to his young co-labourer, exhorting him to continue in the things that he had learned from him: to stand firm in the faith, to know the truth and to reckon it as fact, to trust resolutely in the Word of God and the gospel of grace, and to remember how he had learned these truths - through the teachings of Paul and the Holy Scriptures that he had been taught from his early childhood.
• Let us trust the Lord in the certain knowledge that He is ultimately in control and will one day right all wrongs.

• He will lead him in the path of life, instruct him on the pathway of justice, restore to him a knowledge of the holy, and show him the way of wisdom, for all the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth and all His ways are righteous and true.The man that humbles himself before the Lord in godly fear need not worry about the arrow that flies in the daytime nor the pestilence that stalks in darkness... for He is our refuge, our fortress, and the God in Whom we trust.

• When a distorted gospel is preached and only certain of God's characteristics are accentuated at the expense of the truth, the Church of God is destroyed for lack of knowledge.

• And we are to do this in the knowledge that He is with us in the insignificant menial tasks of the day, as well as being our guide in the grander decisions of life that face us.

• The whole fullness of God's nature dwells bodily in Christ, and all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden in Him.
• But how often like the disciples we doubt the power, ability, wisdom, and knowledge of the Lord.
• May we repent of any pride or neglect that has caused us to doubt the power, ability, wisdom, knowledge, or truth of Christ Jesus our Lord, in Whom dwells all the treasures of God's wisdom, knowledge, strength, and grace.

• God's knowledge and understanding is so great that He calls every star by name. 
• Is it astonishing to realise that Isaiah, like so many other Old Testament prophets, had to chasten the people of Israel for their apostasy and unbelief and had to remind them of God's creative majesty, His omnipotent strength, His omniscient knowledge, His sovereign authority, and His faithfulness to His chosen people.

• We are to grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, and we are to abide in Him and He in us.
• And when we build our lives on Him, letting our roots grow down deep into Him, we are able to weather any storm, walk through any circumstance in our lives, with the unshakable knowledge that He will never leave us or forsake us, and that He is able to bring us through, to our good and His glory.

• Paul was a man of many talents and had acquired much worldly wisdom and religious knowledge.

• God uses trials for our benefit and to teach us important truths, which enable us to grow in grace and in a knowledge of Him.

• He rose again on the third day breaking the power of sin and death and bringing those who would trust in His sacrificial death into a knowledge of the Holy, for He Himself was God's full and final revelation of Himself to mankind.

• Both the man and woman had disobeyed God's command not to eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, and rebellion was already rooted deep within their hearts.
• Every member of the human race from the birth of Cain onwards would be born dead in their trespasses and sins; having a knowledge of good but without the power to carry it out, and having a knowledge of evil but without the power to avoid it.

• Because we are the objects of God's grace and have entered into a good knowledge and sound doctrine of our great salvation, which is by grace through faith, and are gaining maturity in our spiritual lives, Peter wants to ensure that we remain stable within our Christian walk, knowing that times will become increasingly difficult.

• It is only God's never-failing faithfulness and incomparable kindness that enables born-again believers to grow in grace and in a knowledge of Christ, as we dwell in Him and He in us.

• He longed that each one may have all the riches of an assured conviction, a true understanding and a secure knowledge of the mystery of God which is the Lord Jesus Christ Himself.
• For in Him are hidden all the treasures of wisdom, knowledge, truth, and life eternal, for Christ is the power of God and He is the wisdom of God, and we are one with Him, by faith.
• May we look to Christ, Who is the centre and circumference of our entire life, knowing that in Him alone are all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge, and Who is the only secure foundation upon which our faith must rest.

• And may we bow down our ear to the wise words of correction that we may receive from others so that we may grow in grace and in a knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, to His praise and glory.

• It is not just knowledge about God, but an intimate and eternal fellowship with Him that begins by grace through faith in Christ Jesus our Lord.

• We know and we believe that the truth of God's Love and our knowledge of Him, is simply a matter of fact through faith in Christ.

• We are not to rely on our own limited knowledge and human understanding.

• When the Lord Jesus met the two disciples on the road to Emmaus, they also demonstrated a serious lack of scriptural knowledge, but the Lord Jesus opened up their understanding of His Word.

• It was to these men, who prided themselves on their knowledge of Old Testament Scripture, to whom Jesus related the terrible fate of the rich man who was clothed in purple cloth and fine linen and dined sumptuously on the best of fare... and Lazarus, the poor beggarman who sat at his gate.

• A man may lack a clear head-knowledge and yet be saved.

• When knowledge of the Law causes a man to admit he is a sinner and turn to Christ for salvation, then the Law is established in their life.

• He wanted to eradicate all knowledge of the Christian faith and remove from the minds of humanity all remembrance, of the One Who had become known as Jesus of Nazareth.

• Our own human wisdom is of non-effect to God, but Christ became our wisdom (for in Him dwells all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge).

• Man cannot, through his own wisdom, knowledge, and learning, come to an understanding of the incredible significance of the Cross and the glorious plan of salvation which the Triune God purposed and planned in the eternal council chambers before the foundation of the world.

• Although we later discover he was wealthy, highly esteemed by all, and a man of prayer with 10 adult children, reverence for the Lord is a distinctive feature which identified Job as someone with a teachable spirit and a desire for godly understanding: For the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One gives understanding.

• Gifts of leadership are given to pastors, teachers, prophets, and evangelists, so that the saints are built up in the faith until we all live in the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God - until we all come to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.
• ALL are called to grow in grace and in a knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, and all are called to speak the truth of the glorious gospel of grace in love to one another.

• Indeed, the truth of Elihu's statement of God's power and knowledge indirectly identifies his own lack of understanding of the perfection and power, status and strength, knowledge and wisdom of our God.
• Rather, let us listen to God and sit at His feet so as to gain a deeper knowledge of God and closer walk with Him - for Behold, God is exalted in His power; and there is no teacher like unto Him.

• He taught that when the truth of God's Word shines into our hearts, by faith, we are given the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ - but he also warned that the Christian life is not an easy one.
• The enemy of our soul has many ways to keep us from a knowledge of the truth, but just as Paul was ready to be delivered over to death for Christ's sake so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in his mortal flesh, may we also be willing to suffer for the sake of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, so that His life may be manifest in us and work through us, for God's greater glory. 

• Sadly, today there is much criticism of Christians by other believers, many of whom seem to consider that they have an exclusive knowledge of God, a unique revelation from Him, and that they alone hold the key to understanding the deep things of God.

• May we individually and corporately seek to be sensible, honest, moral, and self-controlled in all that we say and do so that Christ may be glorified in our lives as we grow in grace and in a knowledge of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

• But his prayer continues:  That you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the length, and width, height and depth of God’s love, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.

• Hannah's song of praise affirms the holiness of God, exults the character of God, rejoices in the uniqueness of God, and attests to His gracious wisdom: For the Lord is a God of knowledge and with Him our actions are weighed.

• May we rejoice in the joy of our salvation and may we become so rooted and grounded in Him that we may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the length, and width, height, and depth of God’s love, and to know the love that surpasses knowledge so we may be filled with all the fullness of God.

• This knowledge permeated Old Testament Scriptures, and when the prophetic voice of John the Baptist announced the arrival of their long-awaited King, and called the errant nation to repentance, a wave of excitement swept the land.

• May we all come together in the unity in our faith, through a knowledge of God's Son.

• And so, the Lord also placed the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil in the centre of the garden to test the man.

• Knowledge and application of sound biblical doctrine contained in Scripture is the only foundation for a mature Christian walk and effective Christian service, and Paul reminds the young pastor, Timothy that a good minister of the Lord Jesus Christ must be constantly nourished by the words of the faith and good doctrine.

• The transparent truth is that all man's attempts to merit God's approval are vain, and the accumulated wisdom and knowledge of all humanity pales into insignificance in comparison with the wisdom of God. The stark truth is discovered in the Cross of Christ, and the staggering fact is that the message of the Cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but it is God's power to us who are being saved.

• From the time that Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit, the wages of sin for every man and woman is death, and their siritual death occurred the moment they ate of the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil.

• May we, who have gone through the Door of Salvation and been brought into the heavenly realm by faith in Him, enter into the fullness of Christ as we feed on Him in our hearts by faith with thanksgiving, growing in grace and in a knowledge of our God and Saviour - Whom to know is life eternal.

• A thorough knowledge of Romans will ensure a correct understanding of the efficacy of the atoning blood of the incarnate Son of God.

• Paul obviously recognised that the knowledge and wisdom of elders ought to be passed on for the benefit and training of the younger generation, and in this passage, we see him offering advice on valued interaction within a church congregation.
• There is a great and important responsibility for those that are advancing in years, to teach and train the younger generation in the things of God so that they may increase in knowledge and wisdom in their daily lives, and grow in the fear and nurture of the Lord themselves - so that they are also prepared to pass on godly graces and the benefits of virtuous living to their own children and their children's children.

• Having eaten of the tree of knowledge, man knew good from evil but was incapable of doing the good and refusing to do the evil.

• But those that confess knowledge of God's will and are obedient to His Word, have the sufficient grace to weather the most raging storm and to water the most arid of dusty deserts.

• God does not always remove the painful circumstances in this life, but, as with Job and David, He will give us the sufficient strength to come through victoriously, and by His grace will give us a deeper knowledge and understanding of our great God and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

• How precious to know that by His death and Resurrection we have been born into His family and have obtained the secure knowledge that we have an inheritance which is imperishable, undefiled, will never fade away, and which is kept for us in heaven.

• He knew that the enemy of our soul, as a roaring lion, seeks to extinguish the light of the triumphant teaching of truth, and to quench the witness of those that have come to the life-giving knowledge of the glorious gospel of grace.

• Saul's hatred of Christians had caused believers to flee far and wide, and knowledge of his threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord was known by all. He described how the glorified Lord Jesus spoke to him in the Hebrew dialect, and asked why Paul was persecuting Him and acting like a foolish donkey, kicking against the goads of his heavenly master.

• However, knowledge is impotent and ineffective if we do not RECKON it to be so, to believe it to be true, to trust what God has promised, and to have faith in all that He has done for us.
• When Christ is exalted in every area of our life, our bodies become servants of righteousness as He works His work within - so that day by day we grow in grace and in a knowledge of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

• We are to guard the gospel truth that has been shed into our hearts - the knowledge of Him Who has brought us out of darkness into His glorious light and Who has taken us from the doors of death and breathed into us the breath of the new-life in Christ.

• Over the years, man has come to the conclusion that through accumulated knowledge, human wisdom, astute negotiations, intellectual excellent, philosophical thinking, or clever planning he could circumnavigate his need to depend upon God and so began his futile quest to develop a human excellence that excludes God.

• He was teaching that through the ministry of the corporate Body, especially through the teaching of the Word, every member would be increasingly edified and grow in grace and in a knowledge of our Lord and Saviour.

• Our spiritual safety and strength does not lie in our own knowledge or the wisdom of others but lies in identifying and eliminating those thoughts that have anything to do with putting someone or something in the place of Christ, in our lives and our minds.
• God may use our own knowledge and the wisdom of others but only so far as Christ is preeminent in our hearts, for the measure of our own self-respect, esteem, and wisdom lies in inverse proportion to that of Christ.
• When we cast down imaginations, and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, the finger is too often pointing inward.
• Every prideful thought of the heart, every inflated egotistical word, every haughty look, and every vain and scornful attitude, every foolish imagining of the heart, is exulting itself against the knowledge of God and a defiant advance against the gospel of Christ.

• Although the call on Jeremiah's life was devoid of great visions of heaven like Isaiah, or revealed to his parents like John the Baptist, the knowledge that he had been singled out by God and set apart for an important prophetic ministry, must have been a great encouragement to this young Levite.

• The Lord has prepared a way for all his children to be united together in the faith, to grow in grace, and to attain to a full knowledge of Christ.
• Attaining the unity of the saints and a knowledge of the Son of God will never be fully realised while we are still living on this earth in our sinful state... for our old, sin-nature lusts against the new Christ-like nature we received at rebirth.
• The fleshly restriction we all encounter, should not prevent us from seeking to attain to the unity of the faith or from coming to a deeper knowledge of Christ.
• And although we are instructed to grow in grace and in a knowledge of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, we shall never be fully matured until we are raptured into His presence, for then we shall see Him as He is and know as we are known.
• And let us strive to build each other up in our most holy faith, with an ever-increasing knowledge of the holy - until we all come to the unity of the faith and a knowledge of the Son of God - until we are all perfected to a measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.

• Paul was a bondservant of the Lord Jesus Christ, and his calling as God's appointed apostle to the Gentiles was to furnish the elect of God with a knowledge of the truth of the glorious gospel of Christ.

• It is the foundation upon which all truth stands, for it identifies God as the sole source of knowledge and the eternal Creator of all that is visible and invisible.

• No surprise that the apostle Peter urges us to make every effort to supplement our faith with goodness, which leads to knowledge, self-control, patient endurance, godliness, and brotherly affection, and this in turn brings forth a Christ-like love that is beyond human comprehension.
• Indeed, we are promised that such godly attributes will be produced in us as we walk in spirit and truth which will prevent our lives from becoming unfruitful in the knowledge and understanding of Christ Jesus our God and Saviour, for in Him we are justified, and in Him we are being sanctified as we grow in grace and in a knowledge of Him, day by day.

• Through our union with Christ we lack nothing, for He has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Jesus Christ Who called us to His own glory and excellence.

• He was overjoyed for all the saints of God who rejoice in a knowledge of the truth and whose life is consecrated to the Lord Jesus.

• It is as we grow in grace and in a knowledge of Him, that we discover our new-life-in-Christ exposes the old sinful nature we received from Adam's fallen race.  It contrasts what we were with all that we are becoming, as He works His work in each of our hearts and pours the love of Christ into our very soul.

• Paul grew in grace from the wretched man that we see in Romans chapter 7, to the liberated man of Romans chapter 8, and his life ministry was sharing with others the open secret of how to grow in grace and in the wisdom of God, and how to grow in love and in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

• But like Israel, we are promised a much deeper knowledge and closer communion with Him if we will plough into the depths of His Word, reach into the heights of His Truth, and look steadily into the Light of His Countenance: the face of the Lord Jesus Christ.

• Positionally and eternally, we are complete in Christ, yet we are to grow in grace and in a knowledge of the Lord Jesus during the rest of our time on earth.

• As we journey through life, we go through the process of ongoing sanctification as we grow in grace and in a knowledge of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

• Praise God that we have come to a saving knowledge of our Saviour Jesus Christ, and we pray that many who have not known Christ as Saviour and received the forgiveness of sins and life everlasting are convicted of sin, of righteousness, and of judgement in the days that lie ahead before it is too late.

• He adds that the ultimate goal is to bring all believers into the unity of the faith and a knowledge of the Son of God so that the Body of Christ becomes spiritually mature as we are daily being conformed into a measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ until He is all in all.
• Although much of the Church has fallen into gross apostasy, let us seek to use our own spiritual gifts as instructed by Paul, to develop unity in the faith, to increase in a knowledge of the Son of God, and to bring all believers into spiritual maturity.

• Unlike the Galatian believers who were trying to be made perfect by fleshly works and caused Paul to lament, My children, again I am in the pains of childbirth for you until Christ is formed in you, Timothy was growing in grace and in a knowledge of the Lord Jesus, and he was developing his spiritual gift as a pastor-teacher of the Word to the Christians in Ephesus. 

• My conscience testifies with me in the Holy Spirit, that I have great sorrow and unceasing grief in my heart for my kinsmen, according to the flesh. Paul's heart was not only very tender towards his Jewish brethren, but demonstrated incredible concern for his fellow countrymen. His desire was that they come to a knowledge of the truth of the gospel of God, rather than continue to buy into an incorrect understanding of salvation (which is not by keeping the Law, as they said, but by faith in Christ).

• Should not knowledge of His imminent reappearance prompt each of us towards godly living and prudent preparations? 
• Our Blessed Hope is knowledge of the truth intertwined with the 'stuff' of faith, which trusts God's Word as fact and treats the heavenly things (in the spiritual realm) that are invisible to our physical sight, as indisputable reality.

• However, we do discover that it often results in a deeper knowledge of God and a more secure foundation of faith in our Heavenly Father's faithfulness.
• We discover from the Scriptures that His grace is sufficient no matter what we have to face, and that if we trust Him through all the difficulties and dangers of life, we are granted an ever deepening knowledge of His Person and an expanded insight into His gracious character, His eternal faithfulness, His amazing grace, and His unsurpassed glory.
• He finally repented of his foolish complaining, his foolhardy challenges, and his ill-considered words, for through it Job has come to a deeper and more intimate knowledge and understanding of God and so he confesses to the Lord: I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear; but now my eye sees You.

• We hear God instructing to Adam to freely eat from all the trees in the garden: But from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you will surely die.
• the knowledge of good and evil which was obtained by eating of the forbidden tree.

• Like us, these believers had heard and understood the truth of the glorious gospel of Christ, and Paul longed for them to be filled to overflowing with a knowledge of God's will in all wisdom and understanding so that they might walk worthy of their calling and bear much fruit to the glory of God.

• May we seek to grow in grace and in a knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.

• Despite the knowledge that God's wrath and terrible judgement would precede His promised kingdom, their salvation was assured and their freedom and liberty remained God's never-failing promise to His people.

• Having stressed the importance of unity in the body he writes: He gave some to be apostles, and some prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers - for the equipping of the saints for the work of service and to the building up of the Body of Christ; until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ.

• The Bible does not seek to cover up the character flaws of such individuals or whitewash their disagreements but often exposes them, for our learning, so that we may do the good, reject evil, gain wisdom, and grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.

• We read in Hosea: My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me. Isaiah mourns: My people are gone into captivity for lack of knowledge.

• God in His grace has given us His Word and has shared many of His mysteries with us through His prophets, and yet there is a bank of knowledge and information which is not permitted for us to share in.

• Soon: They will not hurt or destroy in all God's holy mountain, for the earth will be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea, and the redeemed of Israel will walk there, and the ransomed of the LORD will return from their exile.

• Reverence for the Lord and trust in His Word is the foundation upon which true wisdom is based, and we in the Church age have discovered that: In Christ are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

• When we obey the Word of God and learn of Christ, we grow in spiritual knowledge and our spiritual understanding matures.

• The mysteries of God are not puzzling or an enigma, nor are they a hidden knowledge for the elite few, but they are the truth of the gospel of God.

• But we also have a responsibility to grow and mature as we feed on the meat of the Word, deepening our knowledge and understanding of Christ, and spending our lives loving the brethren, caring for our neighbours, and sharing abroad the wonderful gospel of Christ, all to the glory of God.

• Jesus has full and complete knowledge of all things, for He is the image of the invisible God, the exact radiance of God's glory, and the unalterable representation of His nature.

• Oh, the depth of the riches, both of the wisdom and knowledge of God!

• Jesus is our sufficient strength in every situation, but it is by abiding in Him that we are enabled to access His power through a knowledge of Him Who brought us out of darkness into his glorious light.
